We are afraid we must inform you that the price of $400,000 per hire is per month. (40-50% goes to paying off the cost of the ship, 5-10% for maintenance, 20-30% for monthly crew pay, and most of the remainder for supporting administration). Therefore allowing 8 months of hiring the price comes to $38.4 million. However all inconvenience and expenses are already covered in that sum.

Regarding the apparently minor threat to our shipping, we would hope you could inform the relevant neighbours that we are always ready to take reprisals if anyone is so foolish as to attack our shipping.
