Kenya, the Middle East, China and South America are traditionally pretty shit places, so nobody really wants to go there unless they are rich, because they can move to a less shit place if it becomes too unbearable.

Israel is frequently attack for being racist and nasty towards Palestinians.

I don't know the situation with Japan though. I think I read somewhere that it has some pretty strong protectionist policies regarding immigration and economics, but couldn't really comment.
