Homophobes

Why are people against homophobes nowadays? It is natural for straight people to dislike people of other sexual orientations (no offense to non-straight people). It seems a little creepy for guys to be attracted to guys and things like that to straight people. But many people believe that homophobes are bad people and need to be reeducated or something. I was wondering what people's opinions are on this.

they don't need to be "reeducated," they just need to understand that not all gays will be attracted to them. they need to understand that if someone's gay it doesn't mean that they like you.

1)Because most people nowadays view prejudice as something that's not good. Homophobia is prejudice against gays because they're gay. It's the same reason people are against racists and sexists.

2)Homophobes certainly do need to be re-educated, there's no logical basis for disliking people because of their sexual orientation.
Don't be deceived when our Revolution has finally been stamped out and they tell you things are better now even if there's no poverty to see, because the poverty's been hidden...even if you ever got more wages and could afford to buy more of these new and useless goods which these new industries foist on you, and even if it seems to you that "you never had so much" - that is only the slogan of those who have much more than you.

I think it's totally ok for anyone to not support homosexuality. That's their choice. BUT it becomes a problem when they shove those beliefs down other people's throats and make the argument that they're right and homosexuality is wrong. That's not ok.

My opinion is that if people didn't go around trying to find reasons to treat others as subhumans, the world would be less complicated.

It's NOT natural for "straight people to dislike people of other sexual orientation". I'm as straight as they come and work with and count as close friends lesbians, gays, and bisexuals. You know what I call them?

Indeed. It is basically the same kind of dislike as of pedophilia (one could consider me a homophobe, and a non-homophobe would not be able to disprove my previous statement).
