The Federal Socialist Republic, the nation holding the position of General Secretary of the International, has expressed a refusal of your application and a rejection of the prospect of your nation's presence in the International in its present state. The Democratic People's Republic seconds these motions, voting with the authority of the Deputy Secretary of the organization. You have failed to gain the confidence or acceptance of the two principal entities within the Central Committee, and thus have failed the qualifications for membership.
Whether you wish to waste time vainly attempting to fool other true socialist states into supporting your attempt at infiltrating the ranks of the world socialist alliance, that is your own choice. But know that the unless the changes which have been outlined previously occur, Comorostan stands opposed to your acceptance into the International.
OOC: But do feel free to try, don't let my IC hostility discourage you.

PWA, I have now sent a link to you and to the other Central Committee members. I look forward to seeing you there.
Also, I wish to notify members of this rp. It may be possible that we can involve ourselves in in some manner, though we will need to ask the RPer about that. If not, I still feel that we should contact Bulgislavia. This is a good RPer and developing relations with him would be a real gain for us.

Bulgislavia has largely gone through an economic revolution and the country now has an industrial and economic system directly controlled by the workers. This process has been going on for the last few months with Bulgislavia's active trade unions conducting workplace reforms and siezures leading to the creation of Workers and Revolutionary councils and most work places turning into self managing collectives and co-operatives of workers. This has upset some in Bulgislavia but the change was largely welcome and supported as the beginning of a workers revolution. the Popular Assemblies is seen as ushering in a peoples Democracy and brining political Revolution to the Revolutionary Republic from the bottom up.
The Revolutionary Republic was officially formed in January 10th 2012 after the Peoples Prosperity Party (Reformed communist party) won the election and formed a coalition of leftist parties known as the Popular Front in November of last year. Around about this time student demonstrations against political corruption and a lack of faith in the governing institutions of the country were coming to the surface. The Popular Front Government promoted the unrest as "A great Awakening" and encouraged the people to stand up for their beliefs and hold the government to account and so the "Great Peoples Enlightenment Revolution" was born
Bulgislavia has been gripped by strikes and demonstrations ever since however the government promotes these "Peoples Movements" as a sign that the people are dedicated to "The Construction of a true peoples democracy" the highest form of democracy possible
The Leading institution of the Revolutionary Republic is the Grand National Peoples Congress (It use to be the state council) however people quickly became angry that the GNPC only met four times a year and its only powers was to approve or vote on legislation decided upon by the State Council. This led to a massive wave of demonstrations with demands to allow the GNPC to function like a real parliament and allow the people to summon the congress whenever they please. This led to more powers being granted to the GNPC and away from the State Council.
This reform and the demonstrations around it took place in April and was seen as "A great Revolution and progression of the Great Peoples Enlightenment Revolution" other demands included more powers and autonomy being granted to the 10 republics that made up Bulgislavia. Elections were scheduled where the people of each republic would elect its own Peoples Congress (Which would ofcourse be subservient of the Grand National Peoples Congress)
However extremists began to highjack the Arasopol elections and election violence then began to take place as well as extrajudicial killings by extremists on both sides. A Fascist Awaken Party paraded the idea that the Great Peoples Enlightenment Revolution was a communist plot to destroy Bulgislavia and promoted Patriotic and nationalist sentiment while Supporters of the Popular Front Government argued to the continued construction of a true Peoples Democracy
Street brawls escalated until party HQ's were set in fire and killings started happening. The Central Government was largely powerless and was starting to weaken at this point. the Media were starting to become more and more critical of the government, especially in Arasopol. This then led to a take over of Arasopol by senior civil servants wishing to maintain stability and order, led by Anthony Kocencu. The Arasopol Administration then announced it would no longer participation in the Revolutionary Republic until the Popular Front Government admits responsibility for the disorder in Arasopol and step down and allow for fresh elections
The State Council by this stage was dissolved and its powers transferred to the Grand National Peoples Congress, however it was still seen as weak as more powers were transferred to the republic's that make up Bulgislavia. The National Front opposition (right wing and centrist parties in opposition) were also participating in demonstrations to undermine the Popular Front Government and frequently walked out of GNPC proceedings
The Popular Assemblies were starting to spring up naturally copying the model of the Revolutionary and Workers Councils with revocable delegates. Radu Suslov seen as the nations paramound leader and ideological figurehead then officially made these Popular Assemblies as legal functions of the Revolutionary Republic and was seen as the standard building block for the Revolutionary Republic.
Other Reforms were voted upon in the Grand National Peoples Congress. By this stage the crisis is starting to escalate and Opposition leader Andre Bratianu called for full participation by the National Front Opposition which brought the National Front back into the Grand National Peoples Congress.
So at the moment Bulgislavia is a hybrid of Communist Democracy, Direct Democracy is being pioneered with the Popular Assemblies and the aim is to amplify this model from the local up to the national level as was seen with the creation of the Bulgislavian Confederation of Labour
There are also clashes between the loyal Revolutionary Peoples Army and the Arasopol Peoples Army
Anyway thats a basic summary, im probably missing something but those are the main points.

Radictistan wrote:So basically Arasopol has been taken over by rightist elements and is now in rebellion against the central government?
With that in mind I can think of three possibly plotlines for Radictistani persons or organization:Radictistani mercenaries are hired by the Arasopol government to fight in the civil war
Radictistani leftist organizations send over a unit of foreign volunteers to fight for the central government
Radictistani arms dealers promiscuously sell arms to both sides
It remains to be seen exactly how much time I'll be able to dedicate to the RP. Dad's starting to get on my case about getting off my ass and getting a job.
