"Were Taking the Chimera back to Earth for a Retro Fit." Jason said as they entered the elevator "That Cat of yours may love a few of our techs" He said laughing as they arrived on the platform "B.S.S. Chimera active Shuttle extraction" He said as the Shuttle rose off the ground ready to send them into orbit

"Alright. Let's get my techs, and lets head to Earth. Who knows when this thing could show up." Shadow replied.

At that moment, Everal came up behind them. "Here, sir."

"Good. Oh, i almost forgot. I have a chipset and hologram in my suit that contains various data files. i believe the Titan plans are in there. Shall we take a look?" Shadow asked, pulling out a small hologram and even smaller chip.

Jason whistled "God damn thats a Tiny data chip" He said as the data began to activate "Might as well wait till we get on the Chimera. That way we can examine the specs in a 3D Envoroment" Jason said hopping into the Shuttle.

"Yeah, it's small, but theres a crapload of data on it." Shadow said, climbing into the Shuttle. "Ah, my techs." Shadow said as about 3 techy-looking cats climbed aboard.

"...Are all my techs cats?" Shadow asked. And much to his amusement, they replied.

"Yeah, pretty much."

"That i will have to take a look at man. Mind if we do a bit of Tech trade once we get to Cyber?" He asked as the shuttle closed its door's "I'm sure we have some cat nip if any of you need it" He said laughing as a call flashed inftont of his eyes, complements of the Haptic implants. "Pick up" He said "Sir. Long range entangled sat's decet something...Massive. President Cole has ordered All Hammer arrays to be activated" the voice said "Shadow...What will a 100 megaton nuke moving at twenty five percent of light speed do to one of your ships?"

The cats didnt look pleased at the joke.

"Oh loosen up you four. It was a joke. Sure, we can do a bit of trading." Shadow agreed. "Okay, about the ship. If it's a capitol ship, probably something mean. Now, If it's the titan? Nothing, it's shields will shrug it off. If anything, you'll piss on it, and that wont be good. So, if we're to have the best chance of avoiding a fight, make it seem like you're not here. If you hide one of my frigates, I can say it was destroyed by the TRINITY ship that followed us, and if worse comes to worse, i can use it against the Titan in a last-ditch effort." Shadow said. I can hones--" He was interrupted by his comm piece.

"Mhm. Good." Shadow said to it. "A Malfunction occurred aboard the Titan and it's being recalled to Adenia to be fixed. We've got about a.... Week in Adenian time to prepare. I'm sure our week is as long as yours."

" Seven twenty four hour days" JAson said thinking "A Sub light round is effective...Hell a Sublight nanite warhead is terrifying..." HE said as they docked with the Chimera "William is the Drive core charged?" "Yes sir Drive core is maxed out at one hundred percent"

Jason Smiled "Good... Shadow you and your techs might want to find some seats and strap in. Its a hell of a ride once the core fires up" He said "Hydrogen Three reserves Topped out. Ready to innate Jump to Earth. Javelin Retro fit will commence apron reentry" Jason grinned "Spin up the FTL Core. Inniante FTL Jump"

Shadow, having the reflexes of a cat, grabbed the nearest solid metal whatever it was that was bolted to the ground. One of his techs, however, was a bit slow at it. How ironic.

As the ship came to a slower speed, Shadow laughed. "Everal, get up off the floor. You look ridiculous." He said, grabbing his friend's paw and hefting him up.

"Oh quiet. I was too busy looking around at the ship. I wasn't listening." Everal whined.

"Of course you weren't. The only person you listen to is yourself." Shadow said.

Everal remained quiet, staring out the window.

"See what I mean?" Shadow said, looking at Jason with a shrug.

Jason smiled "Don't be an ass to the tech's man. You will wake up and your entire room is a pile of ash..." He said trailing off "Though in your case...You probably would be to" He said chuckling "Entering Geo orbit with Cyber City" The A.I. said "Welcome to earth." Jason said watching the Hammer array, there was nearly a hundred of them in orbit "That much firepower...I bet would destroy a planet" He said not having seen then all at once before.

Shadow shrugged. "We've got enough planetary defenses around Adenia and our other Home System planets to destroy each other 5 times over.. There's 14 planets around our home system, 10 occupied. Not all of our colonized systems are that beefed up, though. they're stronger towards the "center", meaning our home planet, and grow less armed as you move outwards from there. Plus, the whole fleet... But, that's just overkilling it. Your planet... It looks alot like Adenia. Different landmasses of course, and more of it, but it's still quite a beautiful planet." Shadow sighed, gazing out a window. Well, i shouldn't say it looks like Adenia. Most of it is inhabited, and before we were up this high in tech, we almost killed it off. Toxins were pumped into the atmosphere and water, we nearly lost our entire Ozone layer, our ice caps. Things got really nasty to the point that when we colonized Lupa, our first planet, we had to evacuate a lot of furs from the planet so that we could clean it up. It still hasn't fully recovered. And we don't think it ever will. Sure, it looks a bit pretty now, a bit of the Ozone is back, the Icecaps are becoming larger, but it's still poisoned." Shadow said. "But, let's save the history lesson for later. Don't we have somewhere to be?"

"Wow" WAs all Jason could say as they docked to a Large station "This is one of the Mag lev stations. Locked in orbit with Cyber. It has a... Well best thing to call it is an elevator down to Cyber Corp HQ" He said as he unstrapped himself and walking to the Airlock "Cat's I'm sure you will have a field day in our labs." He said laughing thinking of their lead scientist "Jut try not to break anything. Or she may make a coat out of you" He said but it was hard to tell if he was joking or not.

"We'll try not to." Everal said, knowing it was directed at him, but wasn't intimidated.

"Seriously, Everal. Dont give them the impression our empire is reckless." Shadow said as they followed Jason. "An Elevator, eh? Well, that sounds like a smart idea. I wonder what'll happen when your people find out i exist..."

"Reckless? Man this is space travel. If your not insane go home" Jason laughed as they entered a sealed room "Begin decent" He said as they felt a slight lurch. "Top speed is nearly half the speed of sound. That being said. It takes about half an hour to get down to sea level" Jason said sitting down "So Shadow. What's your story?"

"I was born on Lupa, the result of the crossing of a merchant and a Naval officer. Since i was a lad i was tasked with spaceship training, and climbed in rank quickly. I saw the call to peace between rhe factions of the old Empire, which i'll explain later, and the rebellion of the Collectorate and the Trinity. We've been locked in a 3 way war with them ever since 2088, Adenian Years. My first task as Admiral was to defend one of our systems from Trinity. It soon became a 3 way war for survival when the Collectorate armada showed up, and with two factions to worry about for each, it was a hard battle. Everythin after that is relatively boring, up until now." Shadow said, sitting next to Jason. "One week... When you think about it, that's not very long."

Jason looked slightly puzzled by what he said "That is interesting." He finnaly said "A week...Well when your mind is ten times as fast as a humans...You can do a lot more then you would ever imagine." He said Looking into the wall as data flashed before his eyes "I Guess that's why were so damn advanced" He said shrugging "You see possibilities in everything." He said as a giant flash lit up the sky above them brighter than the sun "God damn. Guess he wasnt kidding. Testing the Hammer aray with Shatter shells. They explode the second they leave the guns."

"You need to tell Cole not to fire on the Titan no matter what. If they see your defenses firing on them, whether the Titan is destroyed or not, Adenia -will- come after you. And we don't have just a few ships. Right now, we have about 5,000 large ships defending our core 5 systems alone, not to mention heavily armed Merchants that can be conscripted, other defenders, and reserves. Just trust me. Let me handle the Titan. I've seen enough of it to know it's key weaknesses, should diplomacy fail." Shadow said. "Now, three of my ships have left. One of the frigates will stay, Should the worst come to worst. It wont be able to take the Titan, but i know how to use my ships. Just whatever you do, appear to have near nothing to do with me."

"No no no...You see its a public show. Like a daily firework's display. Public voted to have a tax for the daily firing of a Hammer. But yes i understand... Your ships use a different form of FTL Right? Couldn't you just Kammakazi one ship and incinerate the Titian?" Jason asked as the dazzling light of the orbital cannon faded "That...And with two hundred of these guns. I am not sure anything can really hurt us." He said "Aim em all at one target, No matter the size? It would have more kinetic and explosive energy than the Chimera would at Near light speed" He laughed as they began to slow down "One thousand feet and dropping" He said

Everal answered this. "We use Phasing to prevent that. Jumping through a ship or even a planet would damage neither the planet nor the ship. The Jump drives are hardcoded with Phasing in it, so there's no going around it. When you're phased, you feel a sort of immense tingling feeling, because your being separated at the atomic level. it doesn't kill you, you're still one piece, but you can, like it says, phase through other objects. In theory, Shadow could ram the Frigate into the Titan, since ships are too large to be deflected by shields, but not only would it be suicide, it wouldn't do much damage. The Titan... well, it's shields could hold out against your planetary defenses. And if they do overtax them, you've got state-of-the-art armor to try to get through, and on a ship that size, you can guess it's pretty damn thick."

"Plus the fact that the ship could easily destroy your defenses. And the massive railgun in it's belly would put a dent in any planet. All they would do is aim the ship at the right target, then boom. But i intend to make sure that does'nt happen." Shadow added.

"Phaseing...That's something we will need to look into. We slip into a pocket dimension. And pop up where the pocket ends. Like an instant tunnel." He said as they landed softly "Welcome to Earth, And Cyber Corp" Jason said Looking over his Company's HQ. "One hundred stories of Titanium and glass. And that's just the underground testing labs." He said as a small Drone flew up to him "Welcome back sir. You have ten thousand unread messages" Jason groaned "How many are Offers for free stuff?" HE asked "Nine thousand nine hundred and ninety." The drone replied "Delete those. I'll check the others when i get time." He said as the drone flew off "Well Shadow. Welcome to my home." He laughed

Shadow smiled. "And a nice home you have. Will i be kept secret from your people, or will my presence be known? I'd prefer the latter, but if you need to prevent... mass hysteria, or whatever, then do what you must. Just know, the Titan is nearly 20 kilometers long. You'll see it from the surface without too much difficulty." Shadow said. "Especially if they decide to take over instead of destroy. Great, i'm making my own race sound like stereotypical alien invaders." Shadow groaned. "Let's get on, shall we?"

Jason smiled "At the moment you look like one of the Omegas..." He said "But yes. We will show you to our world. Mars allready knows. I'm betting your Tech blabbed it to mine allready. DIdn't ya?" He asked laughing as they walked into the BUilding. "R&D Levle ten" He said as they stepped onto a round plate that began to rise "Magna levi" He said happily as they rose through the tower.

Shadow crossed his wolven arms. "I assume you want me to warn them of what's coming, and that i intend on stopping it?" Shadow asked.

After a moments silence, Shadow spoke up. "Jason, in the time we've known each other, i've come to like you. At first, i thought it wasn't really a big deal. But so far, you've been a very kind friend, and i thank you for that." He said. "I'm going to be in a whole lot of trouble back on Adenia if i destroy the titan... But i know that i will have to."

"Yeah. Though like i said. You look like the Omega legion... SO that's who I'm assigning to protect you. And Yes i would like you to." HE said as a screen seen only by him appeared in front of him. "Omega Legionaries Jace, Will, Michel, Alexander. Report to R&D Deck Ten fro Assignment briefing." HE said. As the screen winked away "Deck ten is special weapons testings... Plasma throwers. Sound rifles." He said "And EMP Grenades." HE finished as they stopped at a sealed blast door "Ten inch ceramic and steel blast door. You will see why" He said pressing a button. A Klaxon was heard through the door "Cease fire" Was also heard as they opened the door. The other side of the thick door was charred and dented at some spots "Aw. The smell of ozone in the morning" Jason said as the place did smell like a recent lightning strike.

Shadow eyed the marks. "Heh. You think this is bad? You should see the giant sheet of metal they shoved out to test a handheld railgun. Shot it, and it punched right through all 20 feet of it and charred the backend of a tech bird who was behind it. He survived, though. But it wasn't pretty." Shadow laughed. "You should have seen the look on his face. Ran around like a goose to be cooked."

"Plasma burns" One of the suited tech's said as Jason begin laughing at the mental image "Man we use Gaussian rifles for infintary. More stable and safe than Rail" He said as the techs took the helmets off revealing they were all Wolf's "Meet the Omega legionaries assigned to keep you safe Shadow" Jason pointed to each of them "That is Will, He is a tech specilist, As well as having cooked up an active camo system for his armor" He said as the man's body seemed to spark and turn translucent "It's not perfect but if your not looking for him, you wont find em" Jason said. "Jace here is a heavy weapons kinda guy." He said as Jace smirked "If its bigger than a human and kills ya fast i can use it" He said. "Alexander here is a Sniper, One of the best." The man in question was holding a strange rifle "Hard sound rifle. Can kill a man at two thousand yards. Turns their brain to mush instantly" He said. "And Last but not least you have Michel. He is your Coms specialist, Eternal tapped into the information grid of Cyber corp." The last wolf looked a bit odd. Having a orange streak running down his head "Nice to meet ya Shadow" He said
