as for your backstory

The Chinese remnants have begun a guerilla war against their japanese lords. The french of quebec, the hudson company, and the british subjects in ontario have united forming a league of canadian nations in defense against japan. Spain itself has collapsed into aragon and castille as it was already fragile with the muslims in grenada having never pulled out. The carribean having only been discovered by christopher columbus in 1500 AD after his accidental landing in florida still has a thriving native american population. France has entered a civil war against several dukes who have carved a large part of france into a burgundian state. The papal states control all of italy after agreeing to form a kingly federation with naples being the political capital. German remnants have unified against the teutonic knights. In britain the republican regime still exist having never been overthrown. Mughal india has quashed several rebellions and still reigns in splendor. The aborigines of australia have reporting seeing fleets of ships and men building settlements all across the coastal areas.

Well spains gambit with the bible thing failed because of the atzecs warning them of spanish treachery (atzec lands had collapsed but they were smart enough to warn the incans outracing the spaniards by literally an hour).
