Of course, typing is king over all. Nice, legible, standardized fonts. Quick to write and just as easy to read. Now if only I could make everyone use a font size that's actually big enough to see, it'd be perfect.

I learned in school that with the advent of computers, text and instant messaging, and email, cursive is slowly dying out and by 2050 there will be very few people who know cursive.

There probably will be few people who know or use cursive, but there will still be plenty of cursive fonts that can be used with word processing programs.
My preference is using cursive for handwritten letters and signatures, but print for everything else.

Which do you prefer? I, myself, prefer cursive because it looks nice, takes up less time and has a nice flow to writing it. You can also add your own little "style" to it.This might seem like a really silly question to ask, but whatevs.

it all depends on the font. but i generally find printed fonts easier to read then cursive. and sans cerif ones most readily readable of all. where as cursive scripts, whether by had or mechanical, have a tendency to become all but unreadable.

Printing. Who cares if cursive looks prettier? It's not a painting. Printing is easier to read since there are tiny, but noticeable spaces separating the letters and the letters look a lot more different from each other. It also forces you to slow down when you're writing, making it harder to "rush" your writing. With cursive, it's too easy to write too fast, turning an otherwise barely-readable sentence into a series of squiggly lines.

I can't even write cursive, my signature is practically print in lower case letters with lines connecting the letters instead of actual cursive.

People look at my handwriting and say, "That's too neat to read." It can be annoying.

I would have to say printing, because I never fully learned how to write cursively. I cannot show you half of the capital cursive letters to save my life.

It's kinda embarrassing when I'm writing my signature; I know how to write the capital A, but then I have to print the D because I don't know how it works capitalized.
