Take two on the Chat Thread. Just some thoughts:

• We don't want this to devolve into a raider vs defender thread. While I'm sure there will be chat revolving around that, it shouldn't be solely about that aspect of gameplay (Unless the other factions refuse to post chat, in which case screw 'em, raider/fenda chat it is).
• I'd ask that the mods let us know if this is a Gameplay Chat thread, or a chat thread found in the gameplay forum... That was never distinguished clearly in my mind.
• Let's be nice. Nah, not nice, but keep the personal rivalries out before Fris finds you.
• Don't hesitate to direct conversations to their appropriate location if they shouldn't be here. We don't want to spam up our chat thread with valuable information/debate which could be located elsewhere.

Rawr and I were discussing this over MSN earlier and it seemed like it could make an interesting topic.

Who are the Top 5 Current Invaders and Top 5 Current Defenders within Nationstates? Forum, Identity, Legacy. All that fun stuff.

I'm too sleep deprived to give a better OP, but I'll give my Top 5's in a bit.

From my limited experience of R/D i'd put halc and EW in the invader section and Sir Lans and NC (not num, the GRA one) in the defender section.

I... honestly have no idea. I couldn't pick names out, that's for sure. Any attempt I'd make at trying to choose would just end up with me thinking "but ooooh, they're really awesome too" and it'd be pointless.

Jakker, Spartz, and Gest are the big names as far as actually leading raids goes right now. The three of them are pretty much unstoppable.

It's a difficult question, but I'll answer it.
I'm pretty much judging off banjection speed on the invader side so I'd say Spartz, Jakker, Gest, Rawr..not sure about the 5th though.
As for defenders I'd say Uni, Fratt, Solm, Ravania..and again, not sure about the 5th, and I'm judging based on who I see detagging/stopping raids the most.

Pretty much the same lists as Jamie, but I would have Tram as number five on the raider side. She does a lot of organizing and finding people for raids.
