I like Singha and Chaang too, a friend said I ought to try some Chinese beer whose name I forget.

Could be Tsingtao.

Chang is good, Chang export is better. We call them 'Changovers' here Less well known of the Thai beers is Leo, which is actually better than both Chang and Singha, but doesn't seem to be exported.

Tiger and Anchor are nice and have good 'light' variations. Kingfisher and Cobra are worth drinking (imo.)

I had Leo when I was in Thailand, but only once or twice, and that was awhile ago. I certainly didn't mind it, but Chang was my fave of the lot. I don't think I've ever seen chang for sale in the US, I almost got a bottle from a thai restaurant, but they had run out.

Well, considering everything I have in stock are gifts, it's not so special as all that. Infact the only time I think I've ever seriously felt the desire to drink myself oblivious was after reading some post on NSG from some poster about being fine with everyone dying if their ideology wasn't embraced because everyone else was wrong and should suffer for it. Mind-blowing, it was.

I have several bottles of Fisk here.

And I also have a bottle of Borovička waiting.

But generally I drink beer, which is the reason why I still have all those bottles.

With summer basically here, fisk is great on a lazy afternoon. Soon I'm going to open up a nice bottle of absinthe. So refreshing in the summer heat.

Where do you live? I'll bring my own booze (the aforementioned bottles of Fisk)

When it comes to aperatives, irreplaceably Raki. Ouzo is great as well. Apart from them, I also love beers such as Heineken, Carlsberg, Tuborg, Budweiser, Efes and Coors.

Efes is surprisingly alright, not my thing exactly but not bad.

I've had Tsingtao, first time in Chinatown in SF, it was nice. I also had singha and cobra but not tiger.
Speaking of indian beer, I had an indian stout some while back. It was surprisingly good!

Since I'm a ridiculous homer I try and drink local whenever possible.
Beer-wise this is easy in Chicago. Goose Island is the go-to for beer, but there's also the Metropolitan and Half-Acre breweries.

We also have the North Shore and Koval distilleries which make many wonderful liquids
Koval makes a personal favorite of mine, Lion's Pride Whiskey. Comes in many varieties and still burns in a special smooth way. They also make a helluva rye vodka that will cloud your vision in the first sip, but after that you'll be too tipsy to care about it.
North Shore has all sorts of lovely brain-melting goodness. Gin, Vodka, even Absinthe. I've actually been to the distillery and it's equal parts ridiculous attention to scientific chemical detail and almost monastic reverence for the products they distil there, and it comes out in the flavor.

The only problem Illinois has is wine production. The growing season just isn't condusive to making great grapes and unfortunately the wines are either sort of blase or too fruity for all occasions. It might be a midwest thing because you run into the same problem in Indiana and Missouri in my experience.
Consequently I'm a fan of anything by Four Vines out in California. I haven't had all of their wines, but if they've made a bad one I haven't gotten to it yet. They're mad scientists, they mash grapes together in different proportions from different batches and the flavors are just incredible.

Yes sure! Southwest coast of Norway. At this moment I'm loaded on all sorts of booze; beers, wines and spirits galore. A lot left over from some parties we've thrown recently and the dutyfree shops on my last couple of trips.

There are 7,000 of them; 3rd most in the world, followed by Japan & US. There's a street next to me with two 7/11s on either side of the road LOL. Actually that is not exactly rare. It's pretty common.

I met some Russians once. They taught me "gherkin vodka."

Ingredients:
- Jar of gherkins
- Vodka

Method:
1. Exhale.
2. Take shot, vodka.
3. Put gherkin in mouth.
4. Inhale.
5. Eat gherkin.

You can't taste the vodka if you do it right. Very dangerous and if you like gherkins (like I do) very fun.

I didn't see it in my regular liquor store, so I'll go with 'yes'. But I heard the duty free shop in Oslo airport has cheap minttu. Or at least some shop in Oslo has, of all places. Otherwise, I do seem to recall to have an excuse to visit Stockholm. I can always take a boat to Abo from there and buy on the boat.

I've seen minttu for sale in regular liquor shops in Stockholm, it's not as cheap as it is in Finland. But hey, when you need minttu, travelling to Finland is a perfect excuse.

You shouldnt have too much problems finding any Korsenkorva.
