SECOND HALF SUMMARY

Image
The Mid-Season Summary and Table is available in this previous Newswire. Arcticala Inlet (27p) held a 3 point lead on Kiiarana City (24p) with Turoki Tide (23p), Makosile (22p) and Strike FC(22p) within close range. At the bottom of the table, Marine Coast United (6p) and Kiiara-Torra (8p) occupied the relegation zone out of touch with Mliona-Lpaka and Jlinal Cove (14p) in the race for safety.

THROUGH MATCHDAY 16:
As play resumed on Matchday 14, Arcticala Inlet scraped together a 3-2 victory over relegation-threatened Kiiara-Torra but their closest title challengers, the Turoki Tide and Strike were equal to the task separating themselves from 5th and 6th placed Makosile and Morata Valley with victories to keep pace with the leaders. After further strengthening their squad at the break, Kiiarana could not take down Mliona-Lpaka in a match that ended in a draw. In the 'stones throw' clash, Yeaddin travelled to Cednia and took all 3 points.

The top 3 all won again on Matchday 15 and 16, though Arcticala looked vulnerable winning only by a goal after going down early at Morata Valley, and doing the same against the Yeaddin Owls while Strike and Turoki Tide outscored their opponents 11-1 over the same two matchdays.

THROUGH MATCHDAY 20:
The Turoki Tide slipped up against the Yeaddin Owls on matchday 17 with a 1-1 draw dropping them to 6 points behind leaders Arcticala Inlet and allowing Strike to move up into 2nd place. Makosile and Kiiarana still held slim hope sitting 10 points back of the leaders but it was clear that the race would be decided amongst the top 5 over the final 7 matchdays. At the bottom of the table, Kiiara-Torra moved up to 13th by defeating Marine Coast United in a relegation clash, sending United to the foot of the table 4 points adrift of Jlinal Cove and a chance at safety. The march resumed on matchday 18 as once again the top 4 collected maximum points and maintained the same separation. Kiiara-Torra, meanwhile, climbed out of the relegation zone with a 2-1 victory over Morata Valley as Jlinal Cove slipped into the bottom 2.

Things started to get interesting on matchday 19 when Arcticala Inlet's string of unimpressive victories since the departure of Xcnaio Bansoa turned into an uninspiring defeat at the hands of Turoki United. Viji-mara Lawaai's double at Colonial Field moved strike within 2 points of the leaders while the Turoki Tide also kept pace at just 3 points behind after a 4-1 thrashing of relegation threatened Jlinal Cove. It looked to become a battle amongst the top 3 as Kiiarana fell to the lone goal from Cednia Beach's Eric Tyler at the Lavaio Rapids Stadium, Cednia's second victory in as many games since sacking coach Jeremie Emeka and hiring Ematora Pikiaka from Turoki United.

Strike moved to the top of the table with 6 games to play, Viji-mara Lawaai's goal was the difference as Strike signalled to Kiiarana City that there is more to winning then simply poaching the top players from mediocre clubs. Arcticala Inlet dropped their second result in as many games to drop to third. Not quite lost in the classic battle between the Electricians and Strike, but certainly in the shadows, the Turoki Community Complex was rocking as the Turoki Tide defeated stadium-sharing rivals Turoki United to move just one point off the top of the Stellar Division table, looking to become the first team from Turoki to win the Stellar Division.

THE STRETCH RUN:
Matchday 21 will be remembered for a long time in Turoki as Strike FC were held 1-1 by Ematora Pikiaka's Cednia Beach, allowing the Tide to move to the top of the Stellar Division after their 2-1 vicotry over Colonial Sile. Arcticala dropped points again drawing Kiiarana while Kiiara-Torra put some distance between themselves and the relegation zone defeating Jlinal Cove 1-0.

The Tide began to look like real title contenders on Matchday 22 as they extended their lead atop the table to 3 points with a 3-1 victory over free spending Kiiarana. Strike was held to a 0-0 draw at Marine World Park while the Electricians were held by Cednia Beach AFC 1-1. Makosile had an outside chance of making themselves relevant, but they were held in the battle of Sile 1-1 to remain 10 points out of the lead. Kiiara-Torra won their second straight match to all but condemn Jlinal Cove and Marine Coast United's fate.

The big names clashed on Matchday 23 with 3rd place Arcticala Inlet traveling to Lonngeylin Coliseum knowing that a defeat would effectively end their reign as Stellar Division champions. The match was a close affair that was goalless at half time but the Venom were not going to let the Turoki Tide slip away, and took control of the match in the second half. A Yves Gadois brace followed by goals from Miiara Makose and Viji-mara Lawaai turned a top of the table nailbighter into an all-out blowout as Strike emphatically signalled the end of the Arcticala era and set their sights on the Tide who were held 1-1 at the Cednia Beach Center.

The Top 2 Clash in a potential Title Decider: The Season would potentially come down to the matchup at the Turoki Community Complex, the challengers, table topping Turoki Tide looking for their first Stellar Division Title with just three recognized internationals on roster, squaring off with the Lonngeylin giants, Strike FC with a full starting 11 full of internationally recognized players. Lawaai made a quick effort at the start of the match that went wide, but the Tide responded to the pressure earning a corner kick at the other end and creating multiple chances that had to be dealt with by Nycflala Kater. It was clear that attacking prowess was going to be on display and the goalkeepers would have to be on their best game. It was Hooizu Nuakoi who slipped up first as Retiso Buran netted in the 33rd minute to give Strike the 1-0 lead. The pressure kept coming and Yves Gadois doubled the visitors lead in the 41st minute. Needing something special to maintain their magical run, the Tide got a goal back after half time to cut the deficit to a single goal, setting up a grandstand finish, but they could not seal the deal and Strike leapt back to the top of the table with the 2-1 victory. Meanwhile, Arcticala's abysmal run of form continued as they dropped a 3-1 result to bottom of the table Marine Coast United, ending their hopes of repeating as champions. Despite the victory, Marine Coast United were relegated along with Jlinal Cove due to Kiiara-Torra's victory over Kiiarana.

THE DECISIVE FINISH:
Going into the second to last matchday, Strike held a 2 point advantage over the Turoki Tide and one of the two was going to be crowned Stellar Division Champions. The top 4 teams all played each other with Strike hosting 4th placed Makosile at Lonngeylin Coliseum while the Turoki Tide had to travel to Arcticala Electrical to play the flailing Electricians. Nycflala Kater was truly the star for the Venom in Lonngeylin saving 13 Makosile shots en route to his sides 1-0 victory, turning all eyes to the result in Arcticala. Malaino Mumamba's early goal had been cancelled out leaving the sides level at the half. As time wound down, Resaie Kentiak netted a winner for Arcticala Inlet, pulling them within 2 points of the Tide in the battle for second place, and handing the title to Strike for the 9th time in club history and 8th time in the previous 14 seasons, a period defined by the dominance by the new Vilitan order of Strike, Arcticala Inlet and Cednia Beach after the first 16 seasons of play were dominated by Marine Coast United and the Yeaddin Owls.

The Venom completed their championship season with 57 points after a 1-0 victory over Kiiara-Torra on the final matchday. The Turoki Tide finished as runners-up for the first time in club history, just one season after finishing 3rd in the table, after Arcticala Inlet was defeated on the final day by 5th placed Makosile. After spending freely in an attempt to put themselves into title contention, Kiiarana ended the season in 6th place, far below the title-contending placement achieved during the Simeone-Di Bradini era.

The Mid-Season Summary is available in this previous Newswire. Lonngeylin Coast held a 6 point lead atop the table over reigning UICA Series 'B' Champions Cup winners Kionao Turori Locals. Mavaloiao FC and Irottea FC were 1 point behind the locals while Inland Peaks and Eastal Lunar trailed the promotion places by 3 points. Rammsissil occupied the bottom of the table without a victory while Nusira Lionta, FC Almintora and Alikki-Corra were level on points battling to avoid the final expulsion slot.

THROUGH MATCHDAY 18:
After flying high at the midway point atop the Declasse, Lonngeylin Coast were dealt a huge blow on Matchday 17 as they dropped a 4-0 result to Turoki Isle who, at the same time, identified themselves as serious promotion challengers, moving up to 3rd in the table four points behind the top two. Turoki Isle continued their climb on Matchday 18 taking down table topping Kionao Locals to make it two straight victories over the teams they chased in the promotion race, and pulling within a single point of the top two.

THROUGH MATCHDAY 20:
With 6 games to play, Turoki Isle's strong run came to an end with a 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Inland Peaks FC dropping the Islanders back down to 4th as Mavaloiao snuck into the top 2 after Jamie Long's winner against relegation threatened Nusira Lionta. Turori's Kionao Locals, opened up a 3 point advantage between themselves atop the table and 3rd place Lonngeylin Coast while Irottea FC was creeping around in 5th place 3 points outside of the 2nd promotion place. A clear gap had built between Eastal Lunar in 7th on 29 points and the bottom half of the table where 5 teams were level on 20 points, just 2 points clear of the relegation zone occupied by Nusira Lionta and wayward Rammsissil.

THE EPIC PROMOTION BATTLE:

With 4 Games to play, the contestants:
1. Kionao Turori Locals - 40 Points
2. Mavaloiao FC - 39 Points
----------------------
3. Turoki Isle - 38 Points
4. Lonngeylin Coast - 37 Points
5. Irottea FC - 36 Points

On matchday 22, Kionao's draw with Eastal Lunar allowed Mavaloiao to close to within a point of the leaders, with the top 5 teams (Turoki Isle, Lonngeylin Coast and Irottea) each separated by one point per position. A pair of wins by Nusira Lionta pulled them out of the relegation zone to be replaced by FC Almintora who were level on points with 12th placed Tivali United.

Mavaloiao was the only team in the top 5 to record a victory on matchday 23 moving them atop the table with 3 games to play. Lonngeylin Coast fell to 4 points behind the promotion places with their defeat to Eastal Lunar. On matchday 24, Turoki Isle took advantage of Kionao's draw and Mavaloiao's defeat at the hands of Lonngeylin Coast to leapfrog the duo to the top of the table with their own 2-0 victory over Lopinka. The promotion battle heading into the final two matchdays promised to be one of the most exciting in Declasse history. At the other end of the table, Rammsissil were all but relegated, needing to win their final 2 games despite having won just one the whole season, while FC Almintora and Alikki-Corra appeared destined to duke it out for the final Declasse place.

With 2 Games to play, the contestants:
1. Turoki Isle - 42 Points
-. Kionao Turori Locals - 42 Points
----------------------
-. Mavaloiao FC - 42 Points
4. Irottea FC - 40 Points
-. Lonngeylin Coast - 40 Points

On the second to last matchday, Turoki Isle and Kionao Locals gave themselves the best possible results, winning their matches to separate themselves from the pack as Mavaloiao drew 0-0 with Tivali United and Irottea FC and Lonngeylin Coast were eliminated from the promotion battle following their defeats. Rammsissil's relegation was confirmed with yet another defeat while FC Almintora wasted a chance to climb out of the relegation zone, drawing 1-1 with 12th placed Alikki-Corra.

With 1 Game to play, 3 teams were left to battle for 2 spots in the Stellar Division:
1. Turoki Isle - 45 Points
-. Kionao Turori Locals - 45 Points
----------------------
3. Mavaloiao FC - 43 Points

THE FINAL MATCHDAY:
While Turoki Isle squared off against relegation battlers Alikki-Corra and Mavaloiao similarly squared off against FC Almintora, the Kionao Locals had 4th placed Irottea to deal with knowing only a victory would ensure their place in the Stellar Division for Season 30. The Locals did not waste long getting on the scoresheet through Jukkia Diijelhma just 3 minutes in, before they added a second to go in with a 2-0 lead at the half. The Locals were able to hold on to the result and soon learned that not only would they be promoted, they would be promoted as champions - Turoki Isle had been held to a 0-0 draw with Alikki-Corra. Mavaloiao faltered, squandering their chance at a return to the Stellar Division with a 1-0 loss to FC Almintora, who needed the win to avoid relegation, instead sending Alikki-Corra FC back to the non-league ranks after just one season back in the Declasse despite having the second highest attendance in the league.

Vilitan Cup Group Stage:
In group 1, Vilitan National Team prospect Ricata Amakra led the Orbital Kickers to the top of the group unbeaten from 3 matches. Lonngeylin Coast followed up after edging out rivals Lonngeylin Coast as Stellar Division side Mliona-Lpaka Turori sat at the bottom of the group. In Group 2 the results went as one would expect with Stellar Division side Turoki United topping the group over UICA Series B Champions Cup holders Kionao Turori Locals as non-league Inland Rovers and Tkaob Inland went out of the cup without a win. Likewise in group 3 as Strike FC topped the group followed by Declasse Division returnees Irottea FC. Group 4 was quite the shocker as Non-League Turorian side Wunokalsa Waridi topped the group unbeaten while defending cup champions Eastal Lunar barely squeeked by, edging out Marine Coast United and Terrarokka for the final spot in the next round. Knowing that Non-League Wunokalsa Waridi clinched a spot in the knockout stage, up-and-coming Turorian team Inura Forests knew that there would be no UICA decider cup to fall back on in order to qualify for the UICA Globe or Series 'B' Cup's in the upcoming season. Unfortunately for the Turorian side, while they didn't concede any goals in the group stage, they also failed to score any, producing a series of stalemates to fall one point short of advancing as Alikki Locals got the surprise spot in the knockout phase behind Kiiara-Torra while FC Almintora sat at the foot of the group.

In group 6 recently promoted Stellar Division side Colonial Sile advanced atop the group along with Liguon Valley, still adjusting to life as a non-league club but looking to impress with a Cup Run to earn an invitation back to the League for Season 30. Their advancement came at the expense of Tivali United and Declasse returnee's Alikki-Corra. In group 7 Cednia Beach was one of just two teams to run the table, joined in the next phase by Lopinka who beat out Rammsissil and Sile Town. Group 8 saw the upset as Corra Rovers upended traditionally competition Inland Peaks and Turoki Isle to slot in behind the perfect Makosile who won all their matches by a 1-0 scoreline. It was an interesting subplot to see Makosile advance in traditional Lorenzo Abellan 'Karela' tactics while Abellan's new team, Inland Peaks AFC, conceded 2 goals and crashed out of the competition.

In Group 9, defending Stellar Division champions Arcticala Inlet made no mistake advancing on top of their group where they were joined by Morata Valley. Group 10 saw a classic rivalry matchup with Mavaloiao drawn in the same group as non-league Mavaloiao City. It was City who had the last laugh in a thrilling group that saw the non-leaguers advance as group winners despite scoring just 3 goals while Mavaloiao and the Turoki Tide crashed out amazingly having scored a total of 9 goals between them and conceding 12. The bystanders in second place advancing as well were Kiiarana City, newly reloaded and ready to win. In the final group, the Non-Leaguers once again had hte last laugh as Kirota City earned the top spot over the Yeaddin Owls, earning with it their first Round of 16 appearance in club history, by passing the first knockout stage.

Vilitan Cup Round 2:
Incredibly, no all-Stellar division matchups were drawn Round 2 of the cup with the best matchup possibly taking place between Turoki United and defending cup champions Eastal Lunar. Turoki United scored within 10 minutes at the Turoki Community Complex and held on to knock the defending champions out at the first knockout stage. Non-League Corra Rovers shocked big-spending Kiiarana 1-0, as did former League side Liguon Valley over Lopinka. Stellar Division high flyers Morata Valley defeated UICA specialists Kionao Locals 3-1 while Yeaddin Owls advanced over Non-League Alikki Locals and Lonngeylin Coast advanced over Irottea FC.

Vilitan Cup Round of 16:
Like was the case in Round 2, most of the big name clubs avoided each other in the Round of 16 draw, with the biggest matchup being Cednia Beach AFC against Makosile. Only one other all-stellar matchup was on the cards, with Turoki United hosting Colonial Sile.

The most interesting clash, however, saw Jungle Strike FC head to VOIA Island for a very rare matchup at the Orbital Stadium. Vilitan National Team prospect Ricata Amakra had still not been swayed from departing non-league side Orbital Kickers, and had his chance to square up against the team with the single greatest amount of Vilitan Nationals on it. As expected, the early possession was all from Strike and Matt Ordish headed home on 30 minutes to give the visitors the lead. Viji-mara Lawaai netted 10 minutes later to double the advantage at the half. The kickers had a pair of chances to pull one back in the final ten minutes, but the Strike ended up cruising to the 2-0 victory.

Arcticala Inlet had no problem with 10-man Liguon Valley winning 3-1 with goals from Rawaii and a Ringeril penalty. Kirota City were the only non-league side to advance, qualfying for the Quarter Finals for the first time in club history after a 3-1 result over Wunokalsa Waridi. With Waridi's defeat and Cednia Beach being knocked out by Makosile on penalties, Vilitan dominance of the Cup was assured for another season with all Turorian teams eliminated.

Morata Valley advanced 1-0 over Corra Rangers; Colonial Sile 1-0 over Turoki United; Yeaddin Owls 2-1 over Mavaloiao City. The only upset came as Declasse leaders Lonngeylin Coast took down Stellar Division side Kiiara-Torra.

Vilitan Cup Quarter-Finals: (Two Legs)
As if it were written in the script, Xcnaio Bansoa and the struggling Yeaddin Owls would be drawn against Arcticala Inlet, Bansoa's former club and stellar division high-flyers. Inlet had been finalists for two of the previous three seasons while Yeaddin hadn't won any silverware since the restart. Siazzu and Kontalroma had given the Owls a 2-1 advantage at the Castle as focus was then on the return leg at Arcticala Electrical. The fans were looking for the home side to start off strong but it was Siazzu who struck first to give the Owls a 3-1 lead on aggregate. To make matters worse for the Electricians, star player Anthony Rojas was removed after picking up a knock at the half. As the second half began, the Electricans controlled the ball almost exclusively with 11 shots on goal compared with just 3 for the Owls. The star of the game was clearly Andossa Se Mitrin Vega youngster Haneshi Hamaaz'urii who received the player of the match honors as the Yeaddin Owls dumped the Electricians out of the cup. Arcticala Inlet 1-3 Yeaddin Owls (agg.)

Non League Kirota City impressively held Morata Valley 1-1 at Valley Park, but in the end, Morata Valley was just too strong and Turori's Loala Kigoouao netted a brace for the Stellar Division side to see them through to the Semi-Finals. Kirota City 1-3 Morata Valley (agg.)

After winning the first leg 3-2 at the Track Venture Field, Makosile travelled to Lonngeylin Park to square off with Lonngeylin Coast looking to prevent the Declasse side from the much-sought after 'relevant' clash between themselves and Stellar Division giants Strike FC. The Makos got off to the perfect start doubling their advantage in the tie after 6 minutes but Lonngeylin Coast would strike back to make it a nervy finish. As Lonngeylin Coast pushed forward, Makosile counter attacked and netted twice in the final minutes to turn a close tie into a lopsided scoreline. Lonngeylin Coast 3-6 Makosile (agg.)

After winning the first leg 1-0 at Colonial Field, very few doubted that Strike would have any trouble advancing to the semi-final, and Yves Gadois made sure of it with a double at the Lonngeylin Coliseum to see Strike through to the Semi Finals Strike 3-0 Colonial Sile (agg.)

Vilitan Cup Semi-Finals: (Two Legs)
Makosile squared off with Jungle Strike FC for a place in the Vilitan Cup final, a place that both clubs had been multiple times before. Strike won the first leg at Track Venture Field in Sile, setting themselves up in a good position for the return leg in Lonngeylin. Makosile's captain JD Fuller was carded after putting all of his effort into willing his team to the final but it was not to be as Strike won the second leg 2-0 to advance 4-1 on aggregate to their 8th Vilitan Cup Final and 4th in 6 seasons.

In the other matchup, Morata Valley was in the Semi-Final for the second time in three season and second time in club history. Like Season 27, however, the run would end there for Morata Valley as they were upended 2-0 on aggregate by the Yeaddin Owls who were searching for their first silverware since winning Vilitan Cup in Season 22.

Yeaddin Owls (Stellar) 2-0 Morata Valley (Stellar); Jungle Strike FC (Stellar) 4-1 Makosile (Stellar)

Vilitan Cup Final:
The Owls had the opening chance in the opening minute of the cup final through Xcnaio Bansoa who forced Nycflala Kater into a save while he was still busy putting on his gloves. They were left to rue the missed chance just moments later, however, as Strike would open the scoring to take the 1-0 lead. It was a fairly well balanced match in front of a sell-out crowd at the Tivali Ring Stadium with both sides making inquisitive passes to break down the opposition. Strike held the advantage through half time, but the Owls would not waste long before equalizing through Steffyn Siazzu just 2 minutes into the second half. The Owls were appealing for a penalty on the hour mark but it wasn't given much to the dismay of the Owls sideline staff. The match appeared destined for extra time before young Vegai goalkeeper Hamaz'urii spilled a shot in the 86th minute that allowed Miiara Makose to find the back of the net, bringing the double to Lonngeylin and potentially coasting the Owls a place in International Competition. There will certainly be a long and successful career for Hamaaz'urii in Yeaddin, the first player from Andossa Se Mitrin Vega in the Vilitan leagues, but she and her teammates will certainly be wondering what could have been as Strike move forward to the Cygnus Cup and other International competitions during the offseason.

Cup Champions (Cygnus Cup Applicant): Jungle Strike FC (Vilita)

After missing out by a single position in both a position in the UICA Globe Cup, by virtue of finishing one place in the Stellar Division table behind qualified Kiiarana City, and, the Cygnus Cup, by virtue of having lost the Cup final to Stellar Division Champions Jungle Strike FC, Yeaddin Owls AFC, in a last ditch effort to get some international competition this cycle, have reportedly sent an information packet to the Trofeo de Principe organizers by way of gopher. The packet outlines what a club like the Owls, the only club to win back-to-back Nationstates Champions League Champions titles, could bring to the TdP.

FSF 993-994 Season

Harlighet Ligan
The Harlighet Ligan (The Glory League) is the highest tier of the FSF. Harlighet Ligan consists of 16 teams, with each one playing 30 games - two against each opponent. This season, OAS Royal FC took the League Title for the fourth time in seven years with a record-shattering 76 points, while traditional power Eastweald will advance to its first Globe Cup in over a decade. The Golds' success was a huge surprise, having been steadily declining over the past few years. Projected to finish near the top of the table, Kaldukosk FC finished surprisingly low at 8th while Cassandra City proved last year's 2nd place finish wasn't a fluke with another strong season.

Sekundar Ligan
Sekundar Ligan is the second tier of the FSF. Sekundar Ligan's season consists of 30 games, two games against each opponent. West Gundar FC has earned its first ever promotion, while long-time Harlighet club Stoneshore United will return after several years in Sekundar. Seasoned Sekundar Ligan squads Pardock Island and Fort Archer fell short of expectations and did not even contend for a SBCC berth. Dusk Athletic is s surprise relegation while Goldstaff City is being demoted after only its first year in Sekundar Ligan. Preseason favorite West Gundar FC dominated the season.

Tredje Ligan
Tredje Ligan is the third tier of the FSF. Tredje Ligan consists of 16 teams, with each playing 30 games - two against each opponent. Three-time Sekundar Ligan champion Crusaders will return to Sekundar Ligan after a lengthy stint in Tredje. As always, Treftadaeth and Keenan Athletic have their fans exasperated after narrowly missing a promotion for the sixth straight season. The real storyline of the season however was FC Hampton, a club that earned 73 points after only earning 39 last season.

SBCC Stadium Bid

Name: The Klyde Sportsplex
Location:Klyde, North Klyde, Cosumar
Max. Capacity: 83,930

The Klyde Sportsplex is an eight-year old multi-sport stadium in Klyde, Cosumar. At the time it was built, it set a world record for the number of types of sports and events it can host and still remains one of the finest venues in Atlantian Oceania. When used for football, the Sportsplex can be expanded to seat as many as 83,930. It has successfully hosted many of the top sporting events in Cosumar, such as the Azure Cup and the CFA Championship, and is now looking to host its first UICA event after placing second in the bidding process once before. The stadium is situated by the scenic Klyde Bay - giving fans a fantastic view of the port and the ocean beyond. The city of Klyde itself is one of Cosumar's major hubs with a rich urban culture and vibrant art and music scene. There are many tourist opportunities for visitors to the city. The stadium itself is very easy to reach and is famous for its excellent parking options and transportation opportunities. One can even arrive by a boat ride from the Marina. The stadium includes suites, a large selection of foods and beverages, a swimming pool and more. The FSF is 100% positive that Klyde Sportsplex, the finest football stadium in Cosumar, is the best candidate to host the SBCC.

The unprecedented surge in the popularity of football in Falcania has resulted in a demand for more football! And, as variety is the spice of life, the Sports & Culture Director, Boaris Alp, has sanctioned (in association with the High King himself) a knockout tournament to be played during the wet season.

Consisting of the sixteen highest-performing teams in the High League, the Champion Sword will consist of four rounds; sixteen become eight, become four, become two. Then a winner emerges, and the team will have the right to wield the Champion Sword on the field of honour, or some-such.

Congratulations go to Airsweep Football Entertainment, who will go through to represent Falcania at the next AOCL, as well as the winner of next season's High League.

SPOTLIGHT ON:
Champion: Airsweep Football Entertainment, representing the Airsweep Broadcasting Network
Josch Rart, AFE Manager wrote:The only thing more impressive than our forwards, were our ratings. Hot damn!

Now, obviously, Airsweep Broadcasting were at a significant advantage this season, as millions of viewers were watching the highlights on Airsweep TotalSport1, and we are led to believe that a team with a lot of supporters behind it is more likely to win. Of course, one match stands out in particular, and that was the "media event of the year," the quarter-final match between Airsweep and OpPress, simultaneously broadcast on Airsweep TotalSport1 and OpPress ActionAthletic HD, as their respective teams did battle on the glorious field of footballing, first at the Tower, and then at the Dish, right across town. The performances from Airsweep's three forwards were phenomenal in both matches, but it was their defence that told the real success story, which surprised us a little bit - flashy play was in no short supply, but sometimes it seemed to be more about the players than the team. The question remains, can the team solidify for the High League and consolidate their position?
II & Sports: The Free Kingdom of Falcania, Jayla, New Nestia, and Realms Otherwise Beneath the Skies

World Assembly: Ser Jeine Wilhelmsen on behalf of Queen Falcon IV, representing the Free Kingdom and the ancient and great region of Atlantian Oceania

FAS Debut Season

This is the first year in which football clubs in Sarrbia will compete in a national domestic league apart from region-based competitions and friendly tournaments. The league, titled Futbalo Asocio Sarrbi (FAS), is modeled after Sarrbia's highly successful domestic beach soccer league. Because Sarrbia is a tropical archipelago and world superpower in beach soccer, association football has always been of secondary importance. Now the FAS hopes to make the world's favorite sport Sarrbia's favorite sport. Though expansion is planned in the future, the upper flight of the FAS will consist of two sixteen-team leagues - Ligo Unu and Ligo Du. In each, two teams will be promoted and two teams will be relegated after each season. If the FAS is a success, a more sophisticated structure will be set up.

Results from the debut season and UICA qualifiers can be found below.

Vegai Aslarxii se Fuborii Kaj’rii (Vegan Associatio of Football Clubs)

VAFK Clubs Looking For Foreign Talent
Loire-Mourenx and Triarii Rivii First to Make Moves

Finally the powers that be in the still newly restructured Vegai Aslarxii se Fuborii Kaj’rii have embraced the idea that players from our own national sides should finally be allowed to sign and play with domestic squads rather than being confined to said sides and competing only against other national squads. Nearly all Vegai national players are in talks that will bring them to the VAFK or cement their desire to play abroad.

In a related move the VAFK has now fully broken from practices which have severely limited the number of foreign players to be signed by domestic clubs. Players from all corners are now being scouted as domestic clubs scramble to fill needs and take advantage of this unfathomable, new talent pool.

Image
Loire-Mourenx became the first VAFK club to take advantage of these new policies by signing Keith Creighton of Camwood to a two year contractm the terms of which remain closed. The 25 year old Defensive Midfielder was acquired from Petmonton FC and should immediately move into the starting eleven. Newly promoted to the Dirisi Ampi’un, Loire-Mourenx is high on hopes that Mr. Creighton will bolster a need allowing them to avoid immediate relegation this season.

Image
Triarii Rivii, newly promoted to the Dirisi Pela’tai, has no desire to return to the usual status of perpetual cellar dweller. In an effort to upgrade their talent level they have signed Defender Oscar Egeberg of Polar Islandstates whose contract in Camwood has expired. Mr. Egeberg is a huge upgrade on the right side of the defense and should make other Primary Division opponents leery of trying their luck there on a regular basis.

Look for a complete list of national side player signings, along with a list of those who wish to play abroad to be published in the coming days. And we will also be ready to announce the arrival of any international players who sign to play in the VAFK.

Your test scores indicate that you are an open-minded progressive; this is the political profile one might associate with a journalist. It appears that you are skeptical towards religion, and have a generally optimistic attitude towards humanity in general.
Your attitudes towards economics appear communist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as a humanist.
To round out the picture you appear to be, political preference aside, a sensible realistic egalitarian with several strong convictions.

I know it may sound ridiculous, but it can prepare you for a distant future when Val Kylx has to retire. It can also help you write a creative RP.

Scrap that, Birolika's idea is awesome.

That might be the first time one of my ideas hasn't been met with the response, "Fine, but where are you going to get all those yaks from?"

The home of the historic Vanler Dynamo, the Dynamo Dome has been a Holy Grail of indoor stadiums since it's construction in 2002 (Camwood Calendar Time). The Dynamo Dome seats 45 thousand spectators and has the amenities of a retractable roof, personal drink holders, and bleacher Air Conditioners/Heaters. The megaboard has been engineered as one of the best in Esportiva and can display images in high definition quality. CAFA (Camian Association Football Administration) hopes that the UICA Commitee considers our bid and choses the best canidate whether it is the Dynamo Dome or not.

Whilst still largely unknown and of little relevance to the world at large, organised football competition in Ancharmunn has been ongoing for seventeen seasons. There are two main competitions in the country, the fourteen team National Soccer League and the All-Ancharmunn Challenge Cup which sees thirty-two teams competing on a knockout basis. Whilst a Junior League, split into two regional divisions, exists below the NSL it is essentially a glorified Sunday League and no movement between the NSL and Junior League occurs. Junior League members do however participate in the Challenge Cup.

During its existence Charmunnry football has been largely amateur, however the influx in recent yeats of Sorthern immigration to the country has bought a degree of professionalism to the sport. As a result of this Charmunnry football is has begun participating on a worldwide and regional scale by joining UICA and regional competitions. Two seasons of this was supposed to have improved the quality of the sport drastically, but frankly it's still largely rubbish.

Tyneala Championship
The 1090-91 season saw the introduction of the Tyneala Championship. A one off season opening game played between the league champions of Acharmunn and Aels, the two constituent nations of Tyneala. The hosting of the match switches between the two countries annually, being held at the home ground of the host nation's champions. This season's venue was the quintessentially named Bank of Aels Arena where hosts Doversham County overcame their guests from Ballymairead Town in a five goal thriller.

Doversham County 3–2 Ballymairead Town

National Soccer League
Periods of dominance have always prevailed in the NSL. More often than not a side which has won the championship has been able to retain it for at least one season. Ballymairead Town retained that tradition in winning second title in a row. The key result came on matchday twenty-three when Town and main challengers Downcurron Thistles went head to head with just a point between them. Town won 4-3 that day in an enthralling encounter and Thistles were never able to reel in the gap from there on in. With just one defeat all season one has to shudder at the thought of how dominant Ballymairead Town could be if they were able to turn a drawing habit into wins. With ten draws they were the side who shared out the most points over the season. Meanwhile former perennial champions Goidelic endured an utterly miserable season. Having sacked their manager for finishing third last season they went through no less than four managers this season and ended up in a lowly eleventh place, the worst of the four teams from the capital. They would however receive some consolation in the cup.

All-Ancharmunn Challenge Cup
The nature of cup football is such that often it is not the best team that emerges as champions, but the luckiest. That proved to be the case this season. As mentioned during the league review Goidelic endured a horrid season and the reality was that their performances were really no better in quality in the cup than they were in the league. Three times in five matches they needed extra-time to progress, one of those an extraordinary half hour which saw a tiring Young Kytlerians concede five having drawn 3-3 in normal time. Against more Junior League opposition, this time in the shape of Green Island Caernankry, penalties were needed following a goalless 120 minutes. Though they didn't perform Goidelic had that little bit of luck that deserted them in the league and the history books will show them as the 1092 All-Ancharmunn Challenge Cup winners.

Nineteenth Aeropag Football Invitational

Invitees
Inspired by Sporting Iturributa’s response to its Champions’ Cup run, the Paripana Sporting Council used the prospect of semifinalist medals to entice sixteen clubs to enter the tournament. Among them were defending champions CF Aéropag (okay, we just needed an excuse to use that phrase), Sonoma Center Panthers as the first Paripanan team to win a UICA competition in a decade, and the champions of footballing newcomers Aels and Miskatonic University. Contrary to reports at the start of last year’s second quarter, Fontvielle Impact were made to play through the tournament in the usual manner.

Draw
With sixteen teams, the format of the group stage would be four groups of four, with each team playing all of its group opponents once. Champions’ Cup winner East Franz Athletic was placed in Group A and Globe Cup winner Sonoma Center Panthers was placed in Group B. To ensure that the two PSC teams would not meet before the final, CF Aéropag could only be placed in Group A or Group D.
GROUP A: East Franz Athletic, Petardos S/A, Les Alliés, Scott City FC
GROUP B: Sonoma Center Panthers, Sporting Iturributa, Arcticala Inlet, Extramarine
GROUP C: Unión de Ciudagua, Fontvielle Impact, Merrilin FC, Doversham County
GROUP D: CF Aéropag, FKM, Bayern Phoenix, Club Vutbol Libridis

Group stage
The group standings were determined, in order, by points, head-to-head result, goal difference, goals scored, and fair play standings. The winner of each group advanced to the playoff bracket (for 1st–4th place), the runner-up to the consolation bracket (for 5th–8th place), the third-placed team to the classification bracket (for 9th–12th place), and the fourth-placed team to the kindoff bracket (for 13th–16th place).

Kindoff bracket
Doversham County did little to boost the profile of Aelsh football in this tournament, becoming the fifth addition to the list of clubs to have lost all five matches (joining defending champions CF Aéropag—seriously, that never gets old). The Titans of Les Alliés opened the tournament with a draw against one of the real titans of world football in Petardos S/A, but draws were not enough to escape the kindoff and they would finish fifteenth. Débutants Extramarine impressed by staying within a goal of every opponent except Doversham County, who couldn’t keep up with the scoring pace. Bayern Phoenix played a thrilling, if ultimately meaningless, final group match against the hosts, but otherwise failed to make a mark on the competition.
SEMIFINALS
Les Alliés 0–1 Bayern Phoenix
Extramarine 3–1 Doversham County
KINDOFF: Les Alliés 1–0 Doversham County
THIRTEENTH PLACE MATCH: Bayern Phoenix 1–0 Extramarine

Classification bracket
Club Vutbol Libridis failed to improve upon Chenkorya’s first appearance in the tournament, finishing twelfth with a single win against the thirteenth-placed team. Merrilin FC played merrily through the group stage, but then received an unfortunate semifinal draw against Champions’ Cup semifinalists Sporting Iturributa; verily, they collected their semifinalist medals and settled for eleventh place. Scott City FC had their playoff hopes demolished, nuked, and then stomped upon in the final group match against os Bilionários; ending on a high note, they held the aforementioned semifinalists to a draw in the match for ninth place, but the final kick from the mark eluded them.
SEMIFINALS
Scott City FC 2–1 Club Vutbol Libridis
Sporting Iturributa 1–0 Merrilin FC
ELEVENTH PLACE MATCH: Club Vutbol Libridis 1–3 Merrilin FC
NINTH PLACE MATCH: Scott City FC 1–1 Sporting Iturributa (1–1 aet · 4–5 pen.)

Consolation bracket
Successive three-goal defeats brought the title defense of le Bleu-et-Orange to a sudden stop. Though the air bags deployed, ensuring the team’s survival for a rematch of last season’s dramatic semifinal, they appeared shaken in the penalty shootout to decide seventh place, and the result went the way of the flamboyant commentator this time. Another such commentator was likely delighted by the strong finish of Petardos S/A, who, after losing to world champions East Franz Athletic, would demolish, nuke, stomp upon, end the title defense of, and simply beat their three remaining opponents, the last being Globe Cup winners Sonoma Center Panthers.
SEMIFINALS
Petardos S/A 3–0 CF Aéropag
Sonoma Center Panthers 2–1 Unión de Ciudagua
SEVENTH PLACE MATCH: CF Aéropag 0–0 Unión de Ciudagua (0–0 aet · 3–5 pen.)
FIFTH PLACE MATCH: Petardos S/A 1–0 Sonoma Center Panthers

Playoff bracket
Fontvielle Impact, not content with setting UICA records, became the first team ever to reach the playoff bracket of the Invitational three seasons running, but ultimately put in their worst performance of the three, winning aluminium rather than gold, silver, or bronze. East Franz Athletic earned the latter after failing to score in one hundred twenty minutes or from the penalty spot in a rematch of the Champions’ Cup final. FKM would go on to face an unlikely opponent in their first Invitational final: Arcticala Inlet, champion of the venerable V-League. After a long hiatus from the footballing world, the ancient league made an incredible return by claiming the Series B Champions’ Cup trophy, and continued its run of form by winning gold in Aeropag.
SEMIFINALS
East Franz Athletic 0–0 FKM (0–0 aet · 0–3 pen.)
Arcticala Inlet 1–0 Fontvielle Impact
THIRD PLACE MATCH: East Franz Athletic 2–1 Fontvielle Impact
FINAL: FKM 1–2 Arcticala Inlet

Final classification
As always, in addition to the prize money, each team receives the revamped set of goody bags as a reward for participation. The amount of goodies on offer varies according to placement, with a total cash value of 109.3 g Au for teams in the kindoff bracket, 198.4 g for teams in the classification bracket, 249 g for teams in the consolation bracket, and 490 g for teams in the playoff bracket. Starting this season, the players of the fourth- through sixteenth-placed teams received aluminium semifinalist medals, while those finishing first, second, and third received medals of the usual colors. Teams finishing first through fourth are awarded trophies of varying size, and teams finishing fifth or lower get a commemorative plaque.

The 2222–23 Championship Trophy will be hosted by the Heartland Conference for the first time at The Caldera in Sonoma City. The site of the 2224–25 Championship Trophy will be determined by the conference ranking of 2214–2221, with the Ad’ihani, Archipelagic, and Heartland Conferences ineligible to host.

As the unfortunate draw for the Conglomerate Division resulted in a poor performance this season, talks of adding a second trophy game in Taeshan have come to a screeching halt. Therefore, for next season, the allocation of trophy games will remain unchanged:
Four games: Founders Conference
Three games: Archipelagic Conference, Highland Conference
Two games: Ad’ihani Conference
One game: Citiz Royal Conference, Conglomerate Division, Deep South Conference, Heartland Conference, Tulip Conference

The Football Association of Liventia and Ad’ihani Football Federation, while remaining two separate bodies, have agreed to join forces to reinvent domestic football in their respective countries with a new Liventia–Ad’ihan Professional Football League (LAPFL), which will be made up of 5 divisions. 42 Ad’ihani clubs — including the Ad’ihani feeder clubs of once-great (and still-great) foreign teams CS 1093 Modna Nord, the Oldbridge Sabres, RCU Dz’ai, Riverston Golden Tigers, CF Outineau–MPA, Navon Knights–Errant FC, Caernvill Hawks, Sémoy Panthers, Stanley Rangers and the Port Stanley Tiger Sharks — and 64 Liventian teams will compete in the new competition, which will send teams to the UICA under the umbrella of the LAPFL, as a successor league to the United Islands League Championship of Ad’ihan.

The competition has been set out in the following format:
A Premier League: 20 teams (12 Ad’ihani, 8 Liventian) — bottom Liventian side and bottom two Ad’ihani sides relegated.
B Premier League: 16 teams (8 Ad’ihani, 8 Liventian to start) — top Liventian side and top two Ad’ihani sides promoted; bottom three relegated regardless of association
First Division: 22 teams (11 Ad’ihani, 11 Liventian to start) — top three promoted; bottom four relegated, regardless of association
Second Division: 24 teams (11 Ad’ihani, 13 Liventian to start) — top four promoted; bottom five relegated, regardless of association
Third Division: 24 teams (all Liventian to start) — top five promoted

The tiebreakers across all five divisions are constant: head-to-head results, head-to-head goal difference, goal difference, head-to-head goals scored, goals scored, head-to-head away goals, away goals, wins.

With this format, the A and B Premier Leagues will start out with the teams originally in the countries' respective top flights at the end of the last season, with the exception of Mountbatten Junction, Protectorate United, and CF Mont-Pluie, suspended from Ad’ihan's top flight before the collapse of that league. The A Premier League will always maintain a 12 Ad’ihan, 8 Liventia composition, while the make-up of other divisions are variable.

The Premier League Cup, held over single legs without replays at the home ground of one of the two teams, will be contested between the 36 teams in the Premier League:
First round: 4 Ad’ihani and 4 Liventian teams
Second round: 4 qualifiers and remaining 28 teams
Third round: Last 16
Fourth round: Last 8
Semifinals and Final (neutral sites)

LAPFL Season 1
Premier League
An incredible four-way tie for second meant that one of the teams on 62 points missed out on a lucrative Globe Cup spot. As it happens, this was CS 1093 Modna Nord, a team which would go on to win the Premier League Cup to guarantee international competition anyway. Aside from third-placed Dover City, all teams in the top eight were Ad’ihani, proving that despite the hiatus in both leagues, the standard of Ad’ihani football generally remains higher. At the bottom of the A Premier, CF Mont-Pluie suffered relegation after a closer-than-normal season, although they still remain in the elite group of 36. In the B Premier, Liventian heavyweights Orean United won promotion to the top flight, and the quirks of the league season meant that despite a quota system being in place, the top three teams in the B Premier all won promotion.

International qualification
The LAPFL will enter teams internationally under the banner of the LAPFL Federation (code: LLF), which is the direct successor association to the Ad’ihani FFA and will take its existing co-efficient.

Champions’ Cup: Oldbridge City
Globe Cup: Mountbatten Junction, Dover City, Kinney Road
Series B Cup: Orean United, Coastal County, Riverston Town, Mon-Treffier
Cygnus Cup: CS 1093 MN

Stadia bids:
Champions’ Cup: Bridge Road, Oldbridge, Ad’ihan (92,000 capacity)

Bridge Road is one of the four most important stadia in Ad’ihan. Home to Oldbridge City, this year's LAPFL champions, it hosted the TQCC12 final, and has hosted World Cup finals matches during World Cups 37, 41, and 46 (including a World Cup 46 semifinal). At a capacity of 92,000 it is currently the second-largest in the country (behind only the national Protectorate Stadium). It features multiple concourse areas serving stadium grub and international gourmet food, and a number of restaurants located within the stadium have won prestigious awards. Of the 92,000 seats, 16,000 are corporate boxes, with another 4,000 held for neutral fans. The remaining 72,000 seats are split into 62,000 for home fans and 10,000 for away fans. Oldbridge City, who co-own the ground along with Oldbridge City Council, are said to be considering installing 8,000 brand-new state-of-the-art seats to bring the total capacity to 100,000.

Globe Cup: National Stadium, City Centre, Liventia (145,000 capacity)

The National Stadium in City Centre has had a long and storied history, and played host to the World Cup 22 final. Seating 140,000 fans (with a large, open area with enough room for 8,000 people to allow 5,000 standing fans), it is the largest stadium in Liventia. Easily accessible with its own CCERT train station, it has constantly been rated the best sports arena in the country. A section of 21,000 seats was recently upgraded for premium (corporate) use, which built in small LCD screens in front of each seat, offering a number of different TV angles in addition to the live proceedings. These screens can also be used to order food and drink from the stadium's own four-star-rated corporate hospitality restaurant.

Cygnus Cup: Stade Grande Olympique, Neverend, Liventia (94,000 capacity); Protectorate Stadium, City of Ad’ihan, Ad’ihan (185,000 capacity)

Vilitan Stadium Bids for the 39th UICA Championships

UICA Champions Cup
Lonngeylin Coliseum - Lonngeylin, Vilita (115,500 Seated)
The Coliseum is one of the oldest, but most expansive stadiums in Vilita. The Home of Vilitan club Strike FC, the stadium has undergone several renovations, name changes and expansions in its long history, which includes being a knockout venue for the World Cup 17 and 31 finals. The Coliseum is known for its unique hillside accommodation, boasts one of the most impressive match atmospheres in the region. Typically, only the home fans are allowed in the south and east areas, which include both hillside seating and open hillside that can accommodate an approximately 30,000 additional fans beyond the seated capacity - depending on how far away from the stadium they wish to prop themselves. Away fans are always seated in the west grandstand. Recently, Lonngeylin Coliseum etched its place in World Cup history, hosting the final of World Cup 59.[/quote]

UICA Globe Cup
Arcticala Electrical Stadium
Image
Arcticala, Vilita (90,277 Seated)
The Arcticala Electrical Stadium was originally constructed during World Cup 34 but was not maintained for some time. When the Vilitan League resumed for Season 26, it was decided that Arcticala would resume play in their original home, the Inlet Stadium, where they continued to play all their league games through their Season 28 championship season. The Arcticala Electrical Stadium was re-opened during Season 28 and Arcticala Inlet used the stadium during their cup campaign which saw them advance to the final. and will host all Arcticala Inlet matches starting in Season 29. The refurbished 90,000+ seater stadium is one of the most advanced stadiums in the region with the funding of Vilita's biggest energy provider behind it, fully covering the exterior of the stadium with solar panels.

Not unlike its counterpart in Ancharmunn, Aelsh football has largely been semi-professional through its short 22-year history. Although the league is older than the Charmunnry counterpart by 5 years, Aelsh football remains largely unknown, and the country still does not have a national team — despite its under 21s starring at the Di Bradini Cup. In recent times, Aelsh footballers have increasingly been selected for the Ancharmunn national team, which now even plays a number of matches in Aels.

Drayfill City (now Dinas Drefhil) played in the league until 1074/5 before moving to the Charmunnry league system. The 1084/85 season was stopped early due to industrial action by players, who wanted better conditions and full semi-professionalisation of the league. The strike lasted into the 85/86 season. The 14-team Football League of Aels is divided into two divisions, with a six-team Premier League and an eight-team Second League. There is no direct promotion or relegation between the divisions. Instead, the team finishing last in the Premier plays the team finishing first in the Second in a one-off playoff at the national Free Stone Stadium.

Aels' football association, the Football Commission of Aels, also govern Drayfill City (Dinas Drefhil), who play in the Ancharmunn league and cup system. An agreement with Ancharmunn means Drayfill City may only be nominated for international competition by Ancharmunn. As of the 1091–92 season, Drayfill City have been excluded from the FCA Trophy, meaning for the first time since 1083 the club will not play in any Aelsh competition at senior level.

Before the season began, title holders Doversham County travelled to Aeropag for the Aeropag Invitational, but unfortunately finished last. They also hosted Charmunnry champions Ballymairead Town at the Bank of Aels Arena for the preseason Tyneala Championship, winning 3–2 to keep the title in Aelsh hands. The Tyneala Championship will next be played in Ancharmunn.

Drayfill Town bounced back from a recent slide down the top flight table to challenge for their first title in four seasons, ultimately falling short by a solitary point. A decent cup run also saw them turn out at the Free Stone Stadium, although that result failed to go their way too. Pentref-ar-y-Bae went one better than last season by finally winning the title, their first piece of top flight silverware in club history, keeping the championship in Dovershore. At the bottom, Trechoid Wanderers went one worse than last season and finished last; a relegation playoff loss condemned them to the Second League. Doverston won the second league and the promotion playoff, and will make a return to the big time after just two seasons in the second tier.

Relegation playoff: Trechoid Wanderers 0–2 Doverston (Trechoid Wanderers relegated, Doverston promoted)

The domestic cup competition takes the form of two round-robin stages and a single final. As Dinas Drefhil were excluded from this season's tournament for the first time in ten campaigns, a Non-League Select XI was invited to the tournament, as also happened the last two times Dinas Drefhil declined to take part. Eight teams competed in two groups of four, playing each other twice. The top two teams from each group then play each other a further once, with the combined table determining the final matchup. The final is always played at the Free Stone Stadium.

#No final was held as Drayfill City Reserves won the second semi-final. The trophy was awarded to the club by default. The third place playoff between the losing semifinalists was instead played as a second place playoff, with Penfro Irish winning.
*A non-league Select XI was invited to participate in place of Dinas Drefhil in 1079–80 and 1082–83 as Dinas Drefhil were chasing silverware in Ancharmunn and declined to participate in the FCA Trophy.
‡No third place playoff has been held since 1075–76.

Most titles: Drayfill City/Dinas Drefhil, Drayfill Town (5 each)
Most times runners-up: Drayfill Town (4)

The non-league team did themselves proud, scoring eight points from their group matches to finish ahead of Imeall an Uisce in their group. Defending champions Pentref-ar-y-Bae were perhaps distracted by the league, and were knocked out in the second round (Group C). CCPD Penfro's cup win is their first since 1077, and qualifies them for the Globe Cup and Cygnus Cup.
