Today, dear reader, the world is orange.

They are Boys 5203. They encamp themselves in the Filishchkin End, the North Stand, and the Balconies in FKM Arena. They raise their plastic cups high in the air during their favorite song, "We People of Chadan," sloshing beer in every direction. They smile and place their hands on their hearts when we come out the tunnel for the final. They hiss and boo when East Franz Athletic do the same. They raise their scarves in the air, they jump up and down to the ubiquitous favorite "Let's Go Fucking Mental," they loudly sing our club songs over the UICA anthem. I cannot see them now, but I know who they are. I am one of them.

I am Eduard Winogradsky, and I am Boys 5203.

They the Safin Neighborhood in Murmansk. They do not complain about the noise from the stadium nearby, no matter how loud or how late it is. No, they open the windows of their wooden log houses in the bitter cold and cheer along with the supporters within FKM Arena. They ring in the glory of their beloved club with song, merriment, and fellowship. They hang their flags from their apartment windows, they call in sick to work on matchday, they tune in their radios and televisions as the People's Club fights for the world's greatest honor once more. I cannot see them now, but I know who they are. I am one of them.

I am Eduard Winogradsky, and I am the Safin Neighborbood.

They are the CMZ. They are a sprawling metropolis, the sixth-largest in Kagdazka and Pazhujebu, spanning from the western suburbs on the far side of the wide River Yakravskaya to the lead mines of the eastern Chazats Lug to the towering spires of the northern Chadan Uptown. They fill the monorail stations, all in orange shirts as they go about their lives, for their club is their life; More Than a Club, we say. They do not live in a cold, industrialist slum as the pretentious cynics in Dyurtyuli or the scheming criminals of Gelendzhik say, they live in the greatest city on earth. I cannot see them now, but I know who they are. I am one of them.

I am Eduard Winogradsky, and I am the CMZ.

They are Kagdazka. They are a nordic land of chill and light, of ice and wind. They are the nation forged from the acid of oppression and shaped by the hammer of revolution. They are the diaspora of supporters who decline the offers from the sad capitalists of other teams for allegiance to the one true club. They raise cows out of barns in the remote Southeast Woods, welcome ships into port at Oktyabrsk, and slave away in the arms factories of Aypabirsk. Never shall a day come when they bow before for a foreign power, for they are a nation of lions. I cannot see them now, but I know who they are. I am one of them.

I am Eduard Winogradsky, and I am Kagdazka.

Here in this moment, standing before all the assembled for this great final, I am all of you.

I am Eduard Winogradsky, and I am FKM.

Updated coëfficients are now available.

The entry limits for the next season of UICA competition will be as follows:

  • Associations ranked 1–3 (Cafundéu, Capitalizt SLANI, and Valanora) are allowed to enter four teams.
  • Associations ranked 4–6 (Estresse Intenso, Aguazul, and Valladares) are allowed to enter three teams.

UICA Partner bidding
Bidding is now open for a UICA Partner spot for seasons 40–47, which carries with it primary sponsorship of Series B Champions’ Cups 37–44. Bidding will close at the start of Series B Champions’ Cup 36. The following is required to submit a bid:
  • The name of the bidding company or product, preferably a single word or acronym.
  • The company or product’s wordmark, as it would appear in the sponsorship logo. This wordmark must be black on a transparent (or white) background, in SVG or PNG format if possible, and as large as possible, but must be distinguishable at the size at which it will ultimately be used. If the wordmark should merely be the name set in a particular typeface, please specify the typeface.
Bids should be posted in this thread. Renewal of the current contract with AalborgPettersen will automatically be considered. Companies from Cafundéu, Estresse Intenso, Paripana, Valladares, and Whirl Islands are ineligible to bid.

International Dainer Football Newswire

The Daineri football championships are about to start. For the benefit of our international audience, we'll start each season with an overview of the main teams and what to expect of them. Visit forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=138446 for basic information about the season.

Without further ado, here come the 18 teams of the next
Daineri Super League
(which is totally not aping Cafundéu's and Zarbli's styles. Totally. Yeah. Sure.)

Image
XISTRUMBIGONÇA
Region: Lem.
Colors: Black
Nickname(s): The Black Army, The Machine
Stadium: Piteka Coliseum (cap. 100.000)
Overview: The all-black uniforms were picked by club founder Arec Piteka because he thought it would make the team more intimidating. It seems to have worked, because Xistrumbigonça went on to be the most sucessful team in Dainer. They're also the richest, which allows them to bring the most seasoned, sucessful players together.
=
Lineup: van Riet; Segel, Morgenau, Phoenix, Amakusa; Redonda, Alexis, Mijatovic(c), Costan; Gomes, Sieke.
=
Coach: Mélanie de Sable.
Tactics: Counter-attacks and careful passing down the middle, with Costan and Sieke looking for free space and excellent passers to complement them.
Season Expectations: The treble, of course. Anything less is a failure by their standards.

Image
KORRIGA
Region: Lem.
Colors: Red and white
Nickname: Racers
Stadium: Velodrome (Cap: 76.000)
Overview: The football branch of the traditional Korriga motor racing team, it is the newest of the so-called Great Four (along with Xistrumbigonça, Sport Wios and University). It has been the only team to challenge Xistrumbigonça for the top spot so far.
=
Lineup: Kakana; Liu Keng Bem, Matango, Biff, Robisbaixo; Ikira, Viper, Onze Letras; Liu Keng Mau, Rei Pelé, Roetaka.
=
Coach: Juan Manuel da Silva.
Tactics: Fast, wide attacks, with crosses and dribbling. Did I mention fast? They can turn a situation from defensive to offensive in seconds.
Season Expectations: One or both of the national titles. Preferably both.

Image
UNIVERSITY
Region: Inglebsu.
Colors: White and blue
Nickname: All-whites
Stadium: Marble Dome (Cap: 80.000)
Overview: An institution of Daineri football, one of its very oldest professional clubs. It was the dominant force before Xistrumbigonça came along.
=
Lineup: Ixion; Poinob(c), Xupiter, Tetrasborb, Scipio; Proposs, Jaj, Aytac, Jubilu; Raitaro, Powploc.
=
Coach: Ricardo Carvalho.
Tactics: Conservative, with speedy counter-attacks. Powploc lurks in the penalty area as an always-present menace.
Season Expectations: A national title.

Image
SPORT WIOS
Region: Guliver.
Colors: White, green and red
Nickname: Dragons, The Nobles
Stadium: Sky and Earth Hall (cap. 84.000)
Overview: A traditional club that never left the top echelons of Daineri football. The most supported club among draco-humans.
=
Lineup: Mbabane; Gambiarra, Rudigert, Ubu; Degaton, Yahia, Falkner, Panácios, Kantemir, Stenmark; Bergsten.
=
Coach: Akashi Kairyu.
Tactics: Defensive, counter-attacking from the middle. The three players up front are strong, balanced and score from long range.
Season Expectations: Titles. Desperately.

Image
ISPER
Region: Guliver.
Colors: White, navy and gold
Nickname: The Old School
Stadium: Sapiens Arena (45.000) and Social Arena (80.000)
Overview: Born from the fusion of two amateur school teams, it became full professional and never stopped ascending. Their greatest strength lies on the youth teams, a veritable factory of great players.
=
Lineup: Rena; Fábio, Leonardo, Babu, Bezerro; Arex, Lucos, Bio(c); Rodigro, Marcelo, Crussa.
=
Coach: Tio Gogô.
Tactics: Very offensive, attacking from every angle. All midfielders are skilled playmakers, and Crussa's deadly headers complete the package.
Season Expectations: Titles and experience for the young players.

Image
ESTRELA D'ALVA
Region: Lem.
Colors: Red and Black
Nickname: Scarlet and Black, The Boys from Down the Street
Stadium: New Fountain (cap. 92.000)
Overview: One day, a bunch of kids that played on the streets of Cidade Pupidu decided to start a team. Funny how far dreams can take you.
=
Lineup: Castanha; Rainer, Cabrunco, Esquerdinha, Uéslei(c); Ney, Oberdan, Buiú, Gian; Beto, Catapimba.
=
Coach: Kalundu Mangabeira.
Tactics: Offensive, with full-backs providing width.
Season Expectations: Titles.

Image
MINIGOLEADA
Region: Caveirairas
Colors: Black and green
Nickname: Green Stars
Stadium: Gigempat Arena (cap. 120.000)
Overview: The pride of the Skëdar, eternal nemeses of Xistrumbigonça. Unlike their main rivals, they rely a lot on home-grown talent, which helps strengthen its position as a popular club in the region.
=
Lineup: Germânia; Xitalia(c), Calunga, Metaxas, Josafat; Katazan, Damien, Raj, Renan; Aolo, Astrobildo.
=
Coach: Mario Yndoyr.
Tactics: Attacks from the middle. Astrobildo is the lynchpin of the offensive attempts, while the excellent full-backs provide width.
Season Expectations: Titles (and beating Xistrumbigonça).

Image
VOLEY
Region: Guliver
Colors: Red, black and white.
Nickname: Olympians
Stadium: Metropolitan Sports Complex (cap. 66.000)
Overview: They were a tennis and volleyball club that took up soccer as a way to show up the neighboring clubs. Eventually, the soccer division split off and went professional.
=
Lineup: Zed; Aopre, Oryol, Ceará, Tamen; Isaac, Ivo, Ponzi, Colel(c), Drene; Ranna.
=
Coach: Fábian Bernard.
Tactics: Balanced, with a single striker and four aggressive supporting players behind him.
Season Expectations: Titles, hopefully.

Image
ECLIPSE
Region: Inglebsu
Colors: Purple and black.
Nickname: Lunatics
Stadium: Eclipse Baiya (cap. 80.000)
Overview: A very young outfit, founded since the beginning for the purpose of being a major force. They have enjoyed a steady climb so far, but not enough to breach the dominance of the Great Eight.
=
Lineup: Leone; Jugurha, Seabra, Landgraab, Hyppias; Karamera, Allan Brado, De Grood, De Veer(c); Koppers, Atreyu.
=
Coach: Edelzio Cabana.
Tactics: Bog standard 4-4-2 with full-backs.
Season Expectations: At least one title to stay at the top in order to prove the Great Eight are now Great Nine at least.

Image
MARVEL TEAM
Region: Inglebsu
Colors: Orange and black
Nickname: Superpower
Stadium: Phoenix Stadium (cap. 60.000)
Overview: They ascended from nothing to total domination at local and national level some years back. Their feat of six consecutive triple crowns isn't likely to be matched, but they haven't earned a single title ever since.
=
Lineup: Xavier; Issui, Matarr, Jotacá; Hassam, Holowaty, Mackinac, Scelianus, Farucx Vanecaur(c); Swigert Eron, Magnus.
=
Coach: Stephen Kurtzberg.
Tactics: Conservative, with most of the attack strength lying on the three front players.

Image

Image
TOMMY-ATKINS
Region: Guliver
Colors: Blue and white
Nickname: Blues
Stadium: Planetarium (cap. 58.000)

=
Lineup: Mustafa; Armengaard, King, Fightmaster; Seth, Gahiji, Pioyt, Das Irvine(c); Arokh, Vaiyt, Matadin.
=
Coach: Muma Takondattar.

Nickname: Robots

Image
URDUTOWN
Region: Guliver

Stl-Tak, a sister company to the manufacturers of the popular Charmunnry soft drink Stl-Blnd, wish to put forward a bid for the UICA Partner spot available for seasons 40–47. Stl-Tak are the producers of an immensely popular orange coloured putty like adhesive, a must have in any work or home environment. Though the exact ingredients remain a secret, a series of adverts for the product insist that is "made from trusses".

I'm not on the Greenwich Meridian so my time is a few seconds behind. Bear that in mind.

Football: Fontvielle Impact “full of win,” AFI official says
AEROPAG—A Paripana Sporting Council official involved with organizing the biennial Aeropag Football Invitational gushed with praise for Valladar club Fontvielle Impact at a press conference today, announcing changes to the format of the long-running tournament.

“Fontvielle Impact are just so good, we’re going to give them their own bracket,” Gordon Hudson announced. “We’ll call it the impact bracket, because it’s going to have a big impact on this tournament and no one’s going to be pulling an Impact in it. This team is just so full of win that we’re going to give them a bye through the group stage into the impact bracket. The top team in the impact bracket will lift the Invitational trophy.”

Pressed for clarification about the qualification structure for the new stage, Hudson explained that Fontvielle Impact would be the only team eligible to participate in that portion of the tournament, ensuring that they will win the competition. “They’re absolutely out of this world,” said Gordon Valentine. “You can’t beat them. Well, you can, but only if the ref’s a banker, or has Ares-y-Penicillian-ese ancestry, or however you say it. Thirty-one matches unbeaten in the Champions’ Cup? That’s absolutely majesterial! They play like they’ve all got food mixers down their shorts. No one can compete with that.”

The announcement comes as something of a surprise to some pundits, who have noted that this apparently marks the end of the strained relationship between the Paripana Sporting Council and the Valladar Football Association. “I guess they kissed and made up,” AT Sports analyst Annette Dohm explained. “Maybe not literally. But I doubt we’ll see any more petty squabbles over stars in logos, or fixture clashes, or the contents of goody bags. There might even be some more Paripanan clubs in the Trofeo del Príncipe.”

As Hudson appeared to be overcome with emotion at the discussion of Fontvielle Impact, another spokesperson stepped in to complete the conference. Though he forgot to put on his nametag, he informed the press that the PSC had elected to invite Sortherners, a football club based in Ancharmunn, to the next Invitational. “The few times we held the tournament without a Sorthern club, we immediately regretted it. Just look who won those tournaments. Some Erathi nobodies? CF Aéropag? Clearly that can’t be allowed to happen again.”

Since Sorthern Northland was destroyed by a nuclear cataclysm, the anonymous spokesperson explained that, despite Sortherners’ twelfth-place finish in the Charmunnry league, they were the only logical choice for a spot in the tournament. To reassure the public, he stated that “The actual skill of the team doesn’t really matter in a tournament like this.”

51a Futbala Ĉampionado de Babaĝoj

League Overview

After a period of turmoil in domestic Babbage football, a new league claims pride of place in the islands. The FFB Premier League is consigned to history, as is the concept of relegation. Instead, fourteen clubs now have permanent berths in the first division, renamed Futbala Ĉampionado de Babaĝoj (Esperanto for Football Championship of The Babbage Islands).

Greenville Rovers won the first season of the FĈB, and Viktoria Baden the second. Below is a look at the fourteen clubs as they enter the 51st national professional football championship.

BELGIUM FC
City: Belgium, Daimler (79,923).
Stadium: Memorial Park (42,357).
Championships: Seven; 30, 31, 32, 33, 37, 38, 48.
Cups: Four; four times runner-up.
Peak UICA rank: 26.
Main Sponsor: Owners Chip and Kirsten Woods.
Manager: Arna-Maggra o Wirrenne (Bears Armed).
Colours: Orange, green, white.
Nickname(s): Orange, The Crew.
TBI Internationals: Sweeper Nancy Svoboda, midfielder Fang Wuying, striker Courtney Keisler.
Foreign Players: Centre back Pepe Raúl Corretja (Aguazul), keeper Marra o Mara, forward Harroya o SarnDale, defender Summarra SilverBear, midfielder Ruth Silberstein and winger Hirra Swiftly (all Bears Armed).
Last Season: 4th.
Prediction: 2nd. Belgium and Cymru are nicely placed for a northern rivalry. Some of the top Belgium players are aging, true, but they always find others. The spirit of Salamida, McAllister, and Alder lives on.

BLOOMFIELD NATIONAL
City: Bloomfield, Verne (122,651).
Stadium: Callahan & Babcock Arena (39,275).
Championships: Five; 25, 26, 39, 42, 47.
Cups: Four; thrice runner-up.
Peak UICA rank: 96.
Main Sponsor: Callahan & Babcock (retail).
Manager: Orson Cook.
Colours: Royal blue, white.
Nickname(s): National, Eagles.
TBI Internationals: Keeper Jerome Patterson, forward Kristine Lindquist.
Foreign Players: None.
Last Season: 8th.
Prediction: 10th. Once the two capped stars retire it looks really bleak for a club with a great history.

CELTIC-SOUTHLAND
City: Wye, South Island (1,012,871).
Stadium: Unity Park (53,712).
Championships: One (by Southland); 7.
Cups: None.

Manager: Anselmo Velásquez.
Colours: Maroon, gold.
Nickname(s): Maroon.
TBI Internationals: Defender Théophile Chagnon, defender Gong Weishang.
Foreign Players: None.
Last Season: 6th (as Southland).
Prediction: 3rd. This is the story of the off-season. Wye Celtic had something to prove, winning two regional crowns after the FĈB snub. Southland improved enough to be of interest. FFB really wanted to see 72 clubs reduce to 70 without twisting too many arms. Finally, money talked. The combination of talent from both rosters has explosive potential.

DOVER CITY
City: Dover, Cayley (277,219).
Stadium: Whitecliff Stadium (56,400). Hosted the World Cup 54 final.

Nickname(s): City, Flyers.
TBI Internationals: Striker Jennifer Stevens, striker Genaro Girón Alvarado.
Foreign Players: None.
Last Season: 3rd.
Prediction: 5th. Should be back in the UICA events only to flame out again.

FAR POINT ISLANDERS
City: Far Point, North Island (209,131).
Stadium: Centennial Stadium (26,900).
Championships: Four; 6, 9, 12, 14.
Cups: One; once runner-up.
Peak UICA rank: N/A

Manager: Steve Isaacson.
Colours: Columbia blue, navy blue, white.
Nickname(s): Islanders.
TBI Internationals: Defender Ósk Jakobsdóttir, defender Joey Baldwin.
Foreign Players: None.
Last Season: 10th.
Prediction: 11th. Against all odds they've not only held on to Baldwin but are finding support to chase some foreign talent. If they make some signings watch them rise to the upper half.

FOUR TOWERS
City: Gernsback, Tesla (727,143).
Stadium: The Great Dome (61,522). Hosted the TakilQuip Champion's Cup 23 final and the World Cup 49 third place match.
Championships: Two: 23, 24.
Cups: One.
Peak UICA rank: 129.
Main Sponsor: Chronowire Communications (information).
Manager: Marty Dickinson.
Colours: Black, silver.
Nickname(s): Engineers, Watchmen.
TBI Internationals: Midfielder Taylor Chapman, defender Kaylee Nelson, striker Sydney Allan.
Foreign Players: None.
Last Season: 14th.
Prediction: 7th. This team was cursed by the injury gods last campaign.

GREAT FALLS CYMRU

FC GREEN STAR

Stadium: Kupolo Zamenhofa (48,115).
Championships: Two; 17, 18.

Manager: Qiao Zhibang.
Colours: Kelly green, white.
Nickname(s): Dreamers.
TBI Internationals: Midfielder Matthew Bradford, defender Allison Parry.

GREENVILLE ROVERS
City: Greenville, North Island (18,590).
Stadium: Rovers Park (21,000).
Championships: Three; 28, 29, 49.

Islands Cup XXXVII

After three years of turmoil and league re-organizations, the Islands Cup has been resurrected as an end-of-season competition. The top four teams in the FĈB and the champion of each Regional League form an eight-team field and play three knockout rounds of single-leg matches to determine a winner. Pairings are by lot save that no team may play at home in any match except the final.

Seven stadiums are used for the Islands Cup in rotation. Callahan & Babcock Arena in Bloomfield host Islands Cup XXXVII. The semifinal sites are Purple Palace in Windsor (hosting XXXVIII) and Capital Stadium in Charleston (hosting XXXIX). The quarterfinal sites are Memorial Park in Belgium (XL), Whitecliff Stadium in Dover (XLI), The U.F.O. in Cardston (XLII), and The Great Dome in Gernsback (XLIII). It is likely that the Ijak-Nash Stadium now being completed in Paris will take a place in the rotation.

Quarterfinals:
Great Falls Cymru 2-0 Handcarters in Belgium
Sporting Boulder 3-4 Ysbeilwyr Caerdydd in Dover
Belgium FC 5-1 AS Paris in Cardston
Dover City 2-1 Viktoria Baden in Gernsback

Semifinals:
Great Falls Cymru 0-0 Ysbeilwyr Caerdydd (0-1 AET) in Windsor
Belgium FC 3-1 Viktoria Baden in Charleston

Islands Cup XXXVII Final:
Ysbeilwyr Caerdydd 2-4 Belgium FC in Bloomfield

For the first time in tournament history, the Cygnus Cup final will not be played in Krytenia. The final of Cygnus Cup 13 will instead be played at the Stade Grand Olympique in Neverend, Liventia (cap. 93,708).

For the duration the tournament control is not in Krytenian hands, the organisers will seek to open up future final site bidding for the Cup. It will, however, retain its Cygnus sponsorship, and the final site will revert to the Cygnus Stadium when the organising committee reverts to Krytenian control.

Krytenian Internationals: None.
Foreigners: None.
Manager: Bill Wagner, 44.
Home Ground: ArenaWest, cap 44,785.
Nickname: The Latics/The Shags.
How It Looks: Aigburth just about managed to keep their heads above water last season; the back lookes weaker than last term, though, and I fear the Latics are fresh out of ideas and luck.
Last Season: 15th
Prediction: 17th

- ASHTON OLYMPIC -
First Team: S Manley - B Aspell, J Taylor, S Byers, N Koller - C Caborn, A Darrow, B Charles, L Gonzalez - A Giggs, R Lucas

Foreigners: None.
Manager: Daniel Desjardins, 48.
Home Ground: Rutian Grounds, cap 56,066.

Foreigners: Vladimir Cornelius (Antoletia)
Manager: Adam Fogg, 54.
Home Ground: Avidair Stadium, cap 28,695.

Manager: Mark Kauppinen, 45.
Home Ground: Orange Street, cap 37,665.
Nickname: The Mariners.
How It Looks: The whole is more than the sum of its parts. Those parts will still only get you so far, though, and the Mariners will do well to finish outside the bottom third.

Foreigners: None.
Manager: Brian Mazerov, 48.
Home Ground: Oxley Park, cap 53,882.
Nickname: The Royals, Pats.
How It Looks: Not the strongest side in the division by any means, they should at least fulfil their annual target of finishing above the Reds.
Last Season: 6th
Prediction: 6th

- STANTON TOWN -
First Team: J Ferrari - J Hoy, M Mansour, S McManus, J Benjamin - C Bălan, M Zemme, N Baladi, J Barradez - S Donnelli, D Schwarzkopf

Foreigners: Christian Bălan (Antoletia).
Manager: Andrew Finlay, 42.
Home Ground: Harbour Stadium, cap 60,662.
Nickname: The Dockers.
How It Looks: The surprise package of last season, Stanton have consolidated with the purchase of Dexter Schwarzkopf. Don't be surprised if they're in the UICA shake-up once again.

Trofeo del Príncipe Seventh Edition

First Edition: Jan Mayen Islanders (Polar Islandstates)
Second Edition: Carter FC (Jasĭyun)
Third Edition: Edmonton United (Valladares)
Fourth Edition: Vulkan (Kagdazka and Pazhujebu)
Fifth Edition: Merrilin FC (Civil Citizenry)
Sixth Edition: 12 de noviembre (Aguazul)

Following the end of the Super Cup and the UICA cycle, it's time for another edition of the Torneo del Príncipe, the sixth one. There hasn't been much novelty with regards to invited FAs, however, following the announcement of kind of a "truce" between the Valladar Football Association and the Paripana Sporting Council, the former decided to invite a club from Paripana for the first time since Carter FC competed and won the second edition. The other seven associations were the same as last time, with the notable exception from the association that released the last champion, whose invited club this time (Blén CA) failed to pass a test imposed by the organizers and eventually missed an invite.

Invitees, Format and Draw

Eight teams from eight nations were invited to take part in this Trofeo del Príncipe edition, and were split into two groups of four teams each, with two of them as "seeded teams", and the rest as "unseeded teams", making four "seeded" teams and four "unseeded" teams.

SEEDED TEAMS

AS Bezieres (VLD) · Host and Valladar Super League best non-UICA qualifier
Lagoon Red Diamonds (WRL) · Whirl Islands Premier League sixth-placed team and host invitee
Cordubovica Falcons (COM) · Paripana Élite League thirteenth-placed team
Athens Town (CVC) · Citiz King's League sixth-placed team

UNSEEDED TEAMS

FC Axel Heiburg (PIS) · FPIFA Federation League sixth-placed team
Urbizania Wanderers (ASG) · Astograthian First Division sixth-placed team
Juvillian Martinax (ERA) · Erathi Seria-A sixth-placed team
Marine Coast (VIL) · V-League Stellar Division seventh-placed team

With two groups of four, the VFA once again made sure the Valladar and Whirl-Islander representatives, as hosts and special invitees, respectively, were drawn in different groups, leaving Cordubovica Falcons and Athens Town as the only seeded teams to be drawn during the group draw. Like last time, unseeded teams were separated into two pots, with the Polarian and Astrogothic Astograthian representatives in a pot, and the Erathi and Vilitan teams being placed in the other pot.

GROUP A: AS Bezieres, Cordubovica Falcons, Urbizania Wanderers, Juvillian Martinax.
GROUP B: Lagoon Red Diamonds, Athens Town, FC Axel Heiburg, Marine Coast.

Venues

Nine venues were selected by the VFA for the competition. By order of the organizing committee, AS Bezieres played all their group stage games at their home stadium, Stade Jules Picot, in Bezieres. The other venues for Group A games were Stade de la Frontière and Stade de l'Amitié, both in Fontvielle, and Stade Omnisports Gatineau, in Gatineau.

Group B games were played at two stadia: Estádio Estadual Armando Bozelli, in Campo Grande and Estádio do Maldonado, in Maldonado.

The semifinals were played at the Metropolis Dome and City of Metropolis Stadium, both in Metropolis, while the Third Place Play-Off match and the Final were both played at the Alexander I National Stadium in Metropolis.

Group Stage

The group standings were determined by: points, goal difference, head-to-head result, goals scored and a one-game playoff, in order. The winner and runner-up of each group advanced to the semifinals, while the other two teams in each group were eliminated from the competition.

GROUP A:

Hosts Bezieres were off to a great start in this group after edging past Juvillian Martinax, and although they were predicted to easily advance to the semifinals, they were unable to get past Urbizania's iron defense and had lots of problems in their third match against the Capitalizt team. That didn't stop them from collecting 7 points and the group's first place, though. Meanwhile, the fight for second place between Cordubovica (who drew the Erathis nil-nil) and Urbizania (who beat the same team 3 goals to 2) was defined since the first game, as the Capitalizt win over the Wanderers in the first game gave them the upper hand, sending home the last edition's fourth-placed team. On the other hand, Juvillian Martinax was the failure incarnated, losing against the hosts, then starring a soulless draw with the Falcons, and only giving some kind of fight when they were out of the competition.

AS Bezieres (VLD) 2-0 Juvillian Martinax (ERA) @ Stade Jules Picot
Cordubovica Falcons (COM) 2-1 Urbizania Wanderers (PIS) @ Stade de la Frontière
AS Bezieres (VLD) 0-0 Urbizania Wanderers (ASG) @ Stade Jules Picot
Cordubovica Falcons (COM) 0-0 Juvillian Martinax (ERA) @ Stade de l'Amitié
AS Bezieres (VLD) 3-2 Cordubovica Falcons (COM) @ Stade Jules Picot
Urbizania Wanderers (ASG) 3-2 Juvillian Martinax (ERA) @ Stade Omnisports Gatineau

  Group A P W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 AS Bezieres (VLD) 3 2 1 0 5 2 +3 7
2 Cordubovica Falcons (COM) 3 1 1 1 4 4 +0 4 [1]

3 Urbizania Wanderers (ASG) 3 1 1 1 4 4 +0 4 [1]
4 Juvillian Martinax (ERA) 3 0 1 2 2 5 -3 1

[1] Cordubovica Falcons ahead of Urbizania Wanderers on head-to-head result

GROUP B:

And once again, Group B becomes "Group Upset", with the unseeded teams prevailing over the seeded ones, starting with what we could call the biggest upset in the tournament: Marine Coast from Vilita, who became the first side from that nation to reach a higher stage than the group stage, after upsetting the Red Diamonds in their début and giving an almost lethal blow to Athens Town in their second game. FC Axel Heiburg became the second and last qualified team in this group by just relying on their defense and only conceding once: against Marine Coast in the group's finale. The Citiz team, who gave Civil Citizenry their first "seeded" pot placement, were unable to match the high expectations set on them, while the Whirl-Islanders not only were unable to do so, but also ended bowing out without scoring a single goal and having won deservedly the tournament's Wooden Spoon.

Lagoon Red Diamonds (WRL) 0-1 Marine Coast (VIL)
Athens Town (CVC) 0-0 FC Axel Heiburg (PIS)
Both matches played @ Estádio Estadual Armando Bozzelli
Lagoon Red Diamonds (WRL) 0-1 FC Axel Heiburg (PIS)
Athens Town (CVC) 1-2 Marine Coast (VIL)
Both matches played @ Estádio do Maldonado
Lagoon Red Diamonds (WRL) 0-0 Athens Town (CVC) @ Estádio Estadual Armando Bozzelli
FC Axel Heiburg (PIS) 1-1 Marine Coast (VIL) @ Estádio do Maldonado

  Group B P W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Marine Coast (VIL) 3 2 1 0 4 2 +2 7
2 FC Axel Heiburg (PIS) 3 1 2 0 2 1 +1 5

3 Athens Town (CVC) 3 0 2 1 1 2 -1 2
4 Lagoon Red Diamonds (WRL) 3 0 1 2 0 2 -2 1

SEMI-FINALS:

It was again a seeded-unseeded affair in this stage, as both seeded teams faced the unseeded ones. In the first semi-final, Les Rouges faced and beat the Polarian outfit, which nonetheless proved to be a tough and decent opponent. Meanwhile, the second semi-final was more like a one-side affair, as Cordubovica Falcons easily crushed Marine Coast and punched their ticket to a rematch against Bezieres, while the Vilitans were denied a higher placement on the tournament's podium than third and instead, awarded a rematch against Axel Heiburg, this time for third place.

AS Bezieres (VLD) 3-1 FC Axel Heiburg (PIS) @ Metropolis Dome
Marine Coast (VIL) 1-5 Cordubovica Falcons (COM) @ City of Metropolis Stadium

THIRD PLACE PLAY-OFF AND FINAL:

Third Place Play-Off:
FC Axel Heiburg (PIS) 2-2 Marine Coast (VIL) (3-2 AET) @ Alexander I National Stadium

Final:
AS Bezieres (VLD) 2-2 Cordubovica Falcons (COM) (3-3 AET, 1-3 PKs) @ Alexander I National Stadium

Congratulations to Cordubovica Falcons from Capitalizt SLANI, who won the seventh Trofeo del Príncipe in a dramatic penalty shootout against the hosts and took the shiny crystal trophy to Paripana for the second time along with P$ 750,000, and 23 gold medals. Although AS Bezieres' attempts to hand Valladares its second crown were thwarted, their final placement was good enough to grant them P$ 500,000 and 23 silver medals, while FC Axel Heiburg managed to earn P$ 250,000 and the bronze medals of this edition in (arguably) the hottest third place play-off ever contested. Marine Coast's efforts and their fourth place were enough for the VFA to enter P$ 100,000 to their bank account, but no medals were included in the prize. The other four teams that competed earned P$ 50,000 each.

The year kicks off with some surprises, as both Xistrumbigonça and Korriga bow down in the first phase of the Lem Conference. That goes to show the beauty of Daineri football; you can't afford to not go at full strength and cruise through. The big surprise is Sun Coast, with an unbeaten run.

Estrela D'Alva 1–1 Cachimbo Amplo (2–2 AET) (4–3 pen.)
Sun Coast 2–1 Tarruço

After a hard-fought battle, Estrela D'Alva books their place in the final on penalties. Meanwhile, Sun Coast dispatches Tarruço and stays unbeaten.

Ragaman 0–2 Acropolis
Marvel Team 1–0 University

Marvel Team slips one past University, while Acropolis doesn't have much trouble stopping Ragaman's own unbeaten run, heading for the final intent on not repeating their last meeting with Marvel Team.

Adda 0–1 Jenipapa
Ispingilovi 1–0 Minigoleada

Minigoleada crashes before the final in a big upset against Ispingilovi. Jenipapa books the other place in the final, confirming their good run from last year.

FORTY GOALS IN NINE GAMES. Isper BRUTALIZED Group B and goes to the semifinal brimming with confidence. In the other group, Tommy-Atkins had a very similar run, while Voley boot Sport Wios out of the semifinals on goal difference.

Isper 4–0 Voley
Tommy-Atkins 2–2 Zill (2–3 AET)

Isper barely takes knowledge of Voley and administers a nice can of drubbing, while the First Derby sees a five-goal thriller that ends with the victory of Zill over their rivals.

O-LEAGUE : SEASON IX : PART ONE

With Aztore Irungarai sneaking into the Ousevale line-up on the eve of the season, we're about ready to roll.

The InsureDirect Super Cup - Avidia United 2-0 Ousevale Borough (Draconium Arena, Caversham)
The curtain-raiser is the same as last season - with the same scoreline and the result reversed. Avidia start the season by beating their main title rivals in the unfamiliar surroundings of Caversham's home ground.

Matchday 1
Ousevale, Avidia United, and Mercia all rack up wins to get their season off to a flier; Mercia are made to work, though, as a brave Westleigh finally succumb to the odd goal in five. More surprisingly, though, Aigburth find themselves in the heady heights of third after beating Caledon Simpson. Beckton are the only newcomers to avoid defeat as they hold Stanton to a goalless draw.

Results:
Mercia Bromham 3-2 Westleigh Athletic
Avidia City 2-1 Caversham
Bradwell Saints 2-1 NSE Kovenham
Avidia United 3-0 Ashton Olympic
Stanton Town 0-0 Beckton Supermarine
Royal Emberton 1-0 Casuals Osteria
Aigburth Athletic 2-0 Caledon Simpson
New Cefn Albion 1-4 Ousevale Borough
Emberton Reds 1-1 Kallia United

Matchday 2
*rip rip rip*

*rip*

*rip rip*

Ousevale one, Royals five, and after a fortnight the script's in the recycling bin.

Results:
Caversham 0-5 Mercia Bromham
NSE Kovenham 1-1 Westleigh Athletic
Ashton Olympic 3-1 Avidia City
Beckton Supermarine 0-0 Bradwell Saints
Casuals Osteria 0-1 Avidia United
Caledon Simpson 0-2 Stanton Town
Ousevale Borough 1-5 Royal Emberton
Kallia United 1-0 Aigburth Athletic
Emberton Reds 0-2 New Cefn Albion

Matchday 3
Mercia are tearing out of the blocks as they make it three wins out of three. Kovenham are the unfortunates on the wrong end of a 6-0 hammering. Behind them, Avidia United are held at home, and it's Bradwell and Stanton representing for Abbia Mersa in third and fourth. A note too, for Westleigh; they're the first promoted team to record a win this season as they beat Beckton, shooting them up to the heady heights of eighth place.

Results:
Mercia Bromham 2-1 Beckton Supermarine
Ashton Olympic 3-3 Casuals Osteria
Leston Town 1-0 Caledon Simpson
Neathill 0-1 Ousevale Borough
Avidia City 1-1 Kallia United
Bradwell Saints 1-3 Emberton Reds
Avidia United 5-3 AFC Linford
Stanton Town 1-0 New Cefn Albion
Royal Emberton 3-1 Aigburth Athletic

Matchday 4
If the script wasn't already shredded into hamster bedding, it is now. Mercia come away from the Rutian Grounds with the grand total of no points, United lose to the Reds, Stanton are beaten by New Cefn...and all of this means the new league leaders are Bradwell Saints.

Bradwell. Ruddy. Saints.

Oh, and New Cefn and Ashton are third and fourth. Seriously, what the hell?

Results:
Ashton Olympic 1-0 Mercia Bromham
Beckton Supermarine 1-0 NSE Kovenham
Casuals Osteria 1-0 Caversham
Caledon Simpson 2-1 Westleigh Athletic
Ousevale Borough 2-1 Avidia City
Kallia United 1-2 Bradwell Saints
Emberton Reds 1-0 Avidia United
New Cefn Albion 1-0 Stanton Town
Aigburth Athletic 1-1 Royal Emberton

Matchday 5
Mercia hit the skids, losing to Beckton - at home, no less - and a late Ricky Chappell strike helps Bradwell to victory over New Cefn and a three-point gap at the top. With teams around dropping points like they're going out of fashion, it's left to Emberton Reds to take second place with a win over Avidia City.

Elsewhere, Caverham finally pick up their first point of the season...at home to pre-season title favourites Ousevale, who currently lie in tenth place.

Results:
Mercia Bromham 1-2 Beckton Supermarine
Ashton Olympic 0-1 Casuals Osteria
NSE Kovenham 0-1 Caledon Simpson
Caversham 2-2 Ousevale Borough
Westleigh Athletic 0-1 Kallia United
Avidia City 2-3 Emberton Reds
Bradwell Saints 3-2 New Cefn Albion
Avidia United 1-1 Aigburth Athletic
Stanton Town 0-0 Royal Emberton

KFA Cup XX: Qualifying Round
The road to the twentieth KFA Cup final starts with the twenty Alliance League teams duking it out.

Results:
St Peter's 1-0 Blakeland
Dynamo Gravea 1-2 Oxley
Yardley Forest 0-0 Byrrim (0-0 AET, 0-2 PKs)
Yraglac Fire 0-2 Highfield
Middleton 2-0 Wroxham Trinity
Salter Athletic 0-2 Buyon
Tuvera City 1-1 Faversham Town (1-2 AET)
Bulham City 0-2 Zoderby United
Challenger 1-0 Walton Park
Wylon United 2-0 Simpson Jesters

Matchday 6
Bradwell drop points for only the second time this season with a draw against the Royals, and Emberton Reds are breathing down their necks after a 4-0 demolition job at home to Caversham. Ousevale, meanwhile, are finally starting to look like the side their hype deserves, slaying a few demons with a comprehensive victory over Ashton which moves them up to sixth.

Results:
Casuals Osteria 0-1 Mercia Bromham
Caledon Simpson 0-0 Beckton Supermarine
Ousevale Borough 3-0 Ashton Olympic
Kallia United 0-1 NSE Kovenham
Emberton Reds 4-0 Caversham
New Cefn Albion 2-1 Westleigh Athletic
Aigburth Athletic 2-2 Avidia City
Royal Emberton 1-1 Bradwell Saints
Stanton Town 1-2 Avidia United

Matchday 7
Aztore Irungarai will be having nightmares for weeks...courtesy of the O-League's other resident Astograthian. Formerio Iturralde scored a league record eight goals in the big match at New Coalfields, as Casuals made an absolute mockery of the league and inflicted the Tigers' record defeat. Yes, folks, that is a 10 there.

Oh, and in case anyone wondered, Bradwell won to stay top, whilst New Cefn's win over Kovenham propelled them into second.

Results:
Mercia Bromham 1-1 Caledon Simpson
Casuals Osteria 10-0 Ousevale Borough
Beckton Supermarine 0-1 Kallia United
Ashton Olympic 2-0 Emberton Reds
NSE Kovenham 1-2 New Cefn Albion
Caversham 0-2 Aigburth Athletic
Westleigh Athletic 0-3 Royal Emberton
Avidia City 0-0 Stanton Town
Bradwell Saints 1-0 Avidia United

Matchday 8
What a difference a week makes. Ousevale bounce back from their splattering in Osteria to win a true classic of a Mercian Classico. Mercia drop from third to eighth as a result, with the Tigers leapfrogging them into seventh. Casuals, meanwhile, can't find one goal, never mind ten, as they draw 0-0 with the Reds.

At the business end, meanwhile, New Cefn's draw is enough to keep them second, but the gap is now four points courtesy of a Bradwell victory over Avidia City.

Results:
Ousevale Borough 3-2 Mercia Bromham
Kallia United 1-1 Caledon Simpson
Emberton Reds 0-0 Casuals Osteria
New Cefn Albion 1-1 Beckton Supermarine
Aigburth Athletic 0-2 Ashton Olympic
Royal Emberton 4-1 NSE Kovenham
Stanton Town 1-0 Caversham
Avidia United 2-0 Westleigh Athletic
Bradwell Saints 3-0 Avidia City

Matchday 9
As we hit the quarter-season mark, Bradwell (top) beat Caversham (bottom) to stay four points clear...and if you had New Cefn in the office sweepstakes, good for you, because they're still second after a win in Simpson. And what of the big three? Well, United, Ousevale and Mercia did all win, and they're now fourth, fifth, and sixth respectively. Surely it's only a matter of time before at least one of them overhauls the Saints?

Results:
Mercia Bromham 3-2 Kallia United
Ousevale Borough 4-2 Emberton Reds
Caledon Simpson 0-2 New Cefn Albion
Casuals Osteria 2-1 Aigburth Athletic
Beckton Supermarine 1-2 Royal Emberton
Ashton Olympic 0-2 Stanton Town
NSE Kovenham 0-1 Avidia United
Caversham 0-2 Bradwell Saints
Westleigh Athletic 2-4 Avidia City

Congratulations to Battle on their Cygnus Cup triumph! As holders, they are guaranteed a place at the next Cygnus Cup tournament.

Applications for the right to host the Cygnus Cup 14 final are now open. There will be a minimum capacity requirement of 50,000. Applications should be made in the regular way (as with UICA stadium bids). There is no guarantee a draw will be made for the right to host the final; should the Cygnus Cup return to Krytenian organisation before the next tournament, the final will likely also return to the Cygnus Stadium.

O-LEAGUE : SEASON IX : PART TWO

Matchday 10
The season is starting to coalesce, with seven teams looking like challenging for the UICA spots. Seventh placed Casuals beat eighth placed Stanton to ram home that fact, and there's now a four point gap between the two. Unfortunately for the Miners, all six sides above them won too, and it's as you were.

Results:
Emberton Reds 0-2 Mercia Bromham
New Cefn Albion 1-0 Kallia United
Aigburth Athletic 1-3 Ousevale Borough
Royal Emberton 2-1 Caledon Simpson
Stanton Town 0-1 Casuals Osteria
Avidia United 2-1 Beckton Supermarine
Bradwell Saints 2-1 Ashton Olympic
Avidia City 1-1 NSE Kovenham
Westleigh Athletic 0-1 Caversham

KFA Cup XX: First Round
And so to the competition proper. With the O-League's great, good, mediocre, and Huntsford joining battle, the shocks should be flowing.

Should.

Unfortunately, they're a bit thin on the ground this season; nevertheless, Ellisham strike a blow for the slightly less big guy by knocking out Avidia City. Highfield also do their bit with an extra-time over Linford, but that's about it.

Biggest casualties in the round are Royal Emberton and Stanton Town, but as they went out to Ousevale and Bradwell (respectively) we'll let them off.

Matchday 11
Nice knowing you, New Cefn. Mercia finally end Albion's run in second place, bringing them crashing dow to earth with a 3-1 win at the Cygnus. The Royals, Avidia United, and Ousevale all win too to drop the men in black and white all the way to sixth.

Bradwell, meanwhile, are laughing all the way to the bank, as a Richard Hoosveld strike earns them the points at New Coalfields and a five point lead at the summit.

Results:

Matchday 12
Do the O-League suits even have green ribbons? We could be finding out, you know. Bradwell looked every inch the title contenders as they ground out victory over Ousevale. Royals lost to New Cefn to surrender second place; that honour is now held by Avidia United, thanks to their 4-0 drubbing of Kallia. They're still six points off the men from Abbey Road though.

Results:
Aigburth Athletic 0-3 Mercia Bromham
Royal Emberton 1-2 New Cefn Albion
Stanton Town 2-2 Emberton Reds
Avidia United 4-0 Kallia United

Matchday 13
It had to happen sometime...and it happened at the Isserson. Bradwell's twelve-match unbeaten run finally came to an end as Emberton Reds garnered a hard-earned three points. Avidia, though, could only muster a draw with New Cefn, and Mercia overtook the pair of them with a 5-1 win over Royal Emberton, cutting the gap to four points in the process.

Results:
Mercia Bromham 5-1 Royal Emberton
Aigburth Athletic 1-4 Stanton Town
New Cefn Albion 1-1 Avidia United
Emberton Reds 2-0 Bradwell Saints
Kallia United 2-0 Avidia City
Ousevale Borough 4-1 Westleigh Athletic
Caledon Simpson 0-3 Caversham
Casuals Osteria 1-0 NSE Kovenham
Beckton Supermarine 1-1 Ashton Olympic

Matchday 14
Oh, Aigburth. Why must you kill these dreams?

...Actually, they don't; although they do take all three points from the Saints, Mercia decide now is a good time to flub against Stanton, and Avidia retake second. Bradwell stay top, but with their lead slashed to just two points.

Results:
Stanton Town 1-0 Mercia Bromham
Avidia United 1-0 Royal Emberton
Bradwell Saints 1-2 Aigburth Athletic
Avidia City 0-3 New Cefn Albion
Westleigh Athletic 2-0 Emberton Reds
Caversham 3-0 Kallia United
NSE Kovenham 1-6 Ousevale Borough

Beckton Supermarine 2-0 Casuals Osteria

Matchday 15
Doesn't anybody want to go top? Bradwell lose their third on the trot at the Harbour Stadium, but Mercia and Avidia United bludgeon each other to a draw. Ousevale's win over Beckton puts them level on points with the Saints; that 10-0 loss to Casuals comes back to haunt them, however, as Bradwell stay top on goal difference.

Results:
Mercia Bromham 1-1 Avidia United
Stanton Town 3-1 Bradwell Saints
Royal Emberton 0-1 Avidia City
Aigburth Athletic 1-0 Westleigh Athletic
New Cefn Albion 1-1 Caversham

KFA Cup XIX: Second Round
So much for the double! Bradwell's season continues to unravel as they're given the brush-off by Caledon; Aigburth, meanwhile, participate in the most boring shoot-out ever as they beat Dereapolis 1-0 on penalties. Spare a thought, meanwhile, for poor Quinton City, who ship seven at the Isserson.

Results:
Avidia United 2-1 Adanac City

Ousevale Juniors 0-2 Mercia Bromham
Caledon Simpson 2-1 Bradwell Saints

Ousevale Borough 5-0 Hoxton
CF Avides 2-3 Neathill

Matchday 16
Bradwell get their season back on track with victory over Mercia in a slog of a game at Abbey Road; Ousevale slip up in Simpson, meanwhile, and Avidia nip by courtesy of a win in the Avidia Derby. At the other end, Kovenham's win over Aigburth lifts them off the foot of the table for the first time in weeks.

Results:
Bradwell Saints 1-0 Mercia Bromham
Avidia City 0-2 Avidia United
Westleigh Athletic 0-1 Stanton Town
Caversham 0-2 Royal Emberton
NSE Kovenham 2-1 Aigburth Athletic
Ashton Olympic 0-0 New Cefn Albion
Beckton Supermarine 0-1 Emberton Reds

Caledon Simpson 3-3 Ousevale Borough

Matchday 17
Ousevale are starting to look like they're back in title form as they annihilate Kallia; it doesn't move them up the table, though. Avidia defeat Caversham....and Bradwell do the same to Westleigh to stay top at halfway. The defeat keeps the Westies bottom, but it's still close down their, with seven teams looking nervously at the Week Seventeen table.

Results:
Mercia Bromham 4-0 Avidia City
Bradwell Saints 2-0 Westleigh Athletic

KIONAO TURORI LOCALS UICA SBCC CHAMPIONS
Ceremonies in Turori for nations first International Champion Club

The Kionao Locals returned to a wild reception at the Kionao Minor Field as the players reunited in Turori during the mid-tournament break in the World Cup 59 Qualifying.

The Locals became the first Turorian side to win a major international competition, and the first club from the Vilitan League to win any UICA sanctioned competition.

Kionao was participating in the Series 'B' Champions Cup for the first time in club history, having previously been participants in the UICA Globe Cup. The Locals became eligible for the thirty-fifth Series 'B' Champions Cup after their relegation from the Stellar Division during season 27. Despite a slow start to Season 28, the Locals powered through to a top 5 finish in the Declasse, securing at least a place in the Series B Champions Cup. They had a chance to earn a place in the UICA Globe Cup but lost out in a playoff to Non-League side Cednia Rovers.

The Locals started the competition in the Playoff Round where they were paired with Civil Citizenry's Tasterson Road. After losing the away leg 2-1, Kionao led 2-1 at Kionao Minor Field after 90 minutes, requiring the match go into overtime. In the extra session, Pedro Uguccione scored on a corner kick to give the Locals a lead they held through the session to advance in dramatic fashion to the group stage.

The excitement wouldn't end there, as Group E in the SBCC was an incredible anomaly that saw all 4 teams finish level on points with identical records. Estresse Intensso's Academia Acropolis topped the group with their 2-2-2 record, 8 points and +3 Goal Differential, leaving one team left to advance. Both Kionao and Servette FC of Valladares were level on points and goal differential, however, Kionao's two defeats came at the hands of Acropolis and Tenis Clube of Cafundeu, meaning that the Locals were able to advance based on head-to-head over Servette FC, joining Academia Acropolis in escaping the 'group of equality' and moving on to the First Knockout Round.

In the first Knockout Round, the Locals finally had an easy matchup, having no trouble disposing of Cosumar's Caedar FC, winning 2-1 at Kionao Minor Field before clinching the tie with a 2-0 win in Cosumar. In the Quarter Final Stage, the Locals became Kionao's Kardiac Kids once again, after winning 1-0 in Kionao, the Locals appeared to be heading out of the competition when Capitalizt SLANI's San Diego Iguanas took a 3-0 lead into the half. The Locals wouldn't give up, and a 53rd minute corner kick was converted by Ossidiacqua's Pedro Uguccione who netted his second goal of the tournament. Trailing 3-2 on aggregate, the Locals were still heading out of the tournament, but the 4th official called for 6 minutes of extra time after a stop-start second half that saw an injury stoppage and 6 substitutions. 4 Minutes into the added time, Hilary Vander Rox fired a miracle strike from just over 20 yards out, finding the upper corner and leaving the San Diego Iguana's keeper with no chance. The goal, which leveled the tie at 3-3 on aggregate, gave the Locals the upper hand on away goals and the match would play out as such, seeing Kionao incredibly advance to the Semi-Final stage.

In the Semi's, Kionao returned to dominating form, taking down Estresse Intensso's Canfudea Factory 3-0 on aggregate, winning both legs. The Locals had advanced to the Final, and their foe would be a familiar one. In fact, it was the only possible team the Locals could have played earlier in the tournament and met again in a later stage: Academia Acropolis.

The Locals had drawn 2-2 with Acropolis at the Kionao Minor Field, but dropped a 1-3 result in Estresse Intensso during the group stage. The final would be a different story, however, and it was Turori's own half-starblaydian starlet Jukkia Diijelhma who netted the famous winner after a cross from Ossidiacquas Lorenzo Borromeo. The Locals had finally defeated the team that had bested them in the Group Stage, and ran out 1-0 winners in the Series B Champions Cup Final at the Bay Forest Stadium in Civil Citizenry.

Kionao Locals stun the world and make Turori the lowest-ranked association ever to win a UICA competition, surpassing the mark set by Erathore’s Minneriz two seasons prior. For their efforts, they earn a place in the Super Cup.

With the victory, the Locals not only became the first Turorian side to win a UICA competition, but the Nation of Turori became the lowest ranked association to ever win a UICA competition.

The triumph granted the Locals entry into the UICA Super Cup, also becoming the first Turorian side to compete. While the results, not unsurprisingly, were not in the Locals favor, the experience in playing against the UICA Champions Cup Champions and Globe Cup Champions was important, and the media and financial windfalls were crucial to the clubs goals of eventually returning to the Stellar Division.

Prior to the UICA Super Cup, the Locals signed a sponsorship deal with the not-for-profit Cocoabo Preservation Society who's logos will now adorn the Locals new kits for seasons to come.

Image

The new kits are primarily an ash gray color allowing the Cocoabo Preservation Society logo to stand out in a Burnt Umber that is accentuated by the flowing stripes that go from the collar to the trim along the sides of the kit. The shoulders are yellow flowing outward from the top of the collar outward to envelope the majority of the sleeve. The Kionao Club Badge (shown) also got an upgrade to include the ash gray background. The Locals have a change kit (not shown) where the ash gray is replaced by Burnt Umber and the CPS logo appears in yellow with the Ash Gray absent from the design.

Known for donating a large amount of proceeds directly to Cocoabo research and preservation, the decision of the CPS to invest in sport advertising came as a surprise to some, but the timing was certainly ideal, allowing maximum exposure for the Cocoabo Preservation Society during the media swirly that surrounded Kionao Locals Series 'B' Champions Cup run.

In addition to their partnership with the Locals, the CPS is hoping to expand its visibility even further by putting themselves forward as a potential UICA Partner for the next 7 seasons. The new UICA partner is expected to be announced sometime around the completion of the 36th Series 'B' Champions Cup.

In a charitable effort to raise the profile of Acquan football, the federations of five footballing nations have joined together to provide a friendly tournament for their previous cycle's league champions. Intended to be a pre-season tournament held each off-season over ten days at the home of Acquan football, Il Colosseo, the tournament is designed to allow the teams to give their youth players and new signings a chance to gel and show their talent in front of capacity crowds, baying to see the Polarian sides in particular. So, without further ado...
