Here's to hoping the streak of Yesopalithan teams making it to the knockout rounds continues after our advancement to the Quarterfinals in the IBC IX, advancement to the Round of 16 in the Di Bradini Cup 20, and our Championship in the Oxen cup 14, which comprise all the sporting competitions I have been in so far! (Although I doubt I'll make it to World Cup main this time around. That'd shock me. And yes, this is a big, grand, tag. I promise I won't make a tag on the RP thread... I'll post my roster instead )

Of course, the draw will only be conducted on IRC, and everyone is welcome. The complete draw will be posted in the IC thread, along with details as to which stadium will host each match.

A BoF 45 nation recently sent me a telegram, wondering if I could offer up a referee to be used in a post-match report. I referred him/her to this thread, which while being slightly out of date, is a fantastic source. It occurred to me after referring the player to this thread that everyone should be made aware of its existence, because I think it's really cool! Feel free to check it out! (If Astograth and I can find the time, we might even add a few of our own referees!)

Following controversy in my first game, can you clarify a couple of procedurals?

(i) Is human sacrifice permitted on the field of play before commencement of games, if we are sure not to spill a drop of blood, intestine or other associated effluvia? The ref sent our coach to the stands for this. We'll make other arrangements if necessary.
(ii) Can allowances be made for the gibbering noise of our defenders, who cannot help themselves, being highly traumatised wraiths? They were all booked last night for unsportsmanlike conduct.

OOCly, Both are certainly permissible, and in fact encouraged. The crazier the RPing, the better!

ICly, however, the KPFA is unable to honor a request to rescind a booking issued by a licensed referee in a Baptism of Fire match. All decisions made on the pitch are final, and appeals will not be granted. Both your manager's sending off and your wraith defenders' bookings will stand. Objections to the appeal system may be wired to the Ministry of Sport's Special Division for Paper-Pushing and Endless Bureaucracy, the offices of which are located in Dyurtyuli.
