On several Imperial Worlds, its not uncommon to see children as young as five to be working. Its obviosuly dangerous, but the majority of child workers survive. Indeed many of them go on to be factory foremen, a highly respected occupation in the Imperium. And damn near all children working in whatever job prefer that than to be part of the 'White-Sheild' Regiments, or as part of the 'Sons of the Regiment' companies of Imperial Guard Regiments on campaign.

Possibly losing a hand is better then possibly being sent to fight at the front lines against any number of xenos.

A contract of employment is not determined by age nor any status, but on duress or exploitation in obtaining such a contract.

It's a standard we hold to every contract- it's capacity is not determined by age, sex, gender, martial status, etc., but by the mental state of the person at the time. Any other precedent, in our view, would endanger this principle in serving the rights of the many.

Partially legal. A job is considered a right of passage in youth, by about 12 almost every child (especially boys) will have been employed in one way or another, that said these jobs will usually be very small, usually working with kin or friends of the family as apprentices.

Anywhere where extreme labor is required may not employ minors of such age and below or they will be fined and possibly shut down. At this age employees are unable to work night shift and close as well. Works about 24 hours a week on a non school week and 16 on a school week.

At age 17 you are permitted to work wherever you would like and work whatever hours you want on non-school days. On school days you are eligible to work night shift and close and work up to 48 hours and limits are greatly repealed.

At age 18 there are no restrictions.

Young ponies typically hold down part-time jobs, either working for their parents (we're a mostly agricultural nation, so working on a farm at an early age is common) or for their neighbors. As long as it doesn't interfere with their schooling, it's not discouraged. In fact, among young ponies who have not discovered their Mark and thus their role in life, it's actively encouraged as a path to self-discovery.

Beneath it, a permit accepted by the parliament, signed by the parents, ratified by the major court, and approved by the Department of labour. 90% of the child's wage must go to their parents. Violation to this rule could result in termination of their parenting permit and permanent removal of the child from them to their corresponding tutor approved by Canuxis's ministry of family issues or retain in a state orphanage until 27 which is the suffrage age

Teenagers are expected to work at least part time. Most teen girls work as elementry school teachers or in the hospitality industries while going thru college (13-14yo is the average age of graduating the equivelent of American/European high schools). Most teen boys work in agriculture.
