i looked it up to make sure it was peter he was talking to and it turns out that he said it twice. in matthew he was talking to peter, which gives us the more common usage of saying that to people who are tempting us to something we really ought not do, and in luke he said it to satan at the end of his journey in the desert.

yeah usually they use the same or similar phrases in the same story. quote drift to different stories is much more rare.
