SAMOZNIY MILITARY INDUSTRIES CLOSING DOWN TEMPORARILY
For a little over two months, the Samozniy Military Industries multipurpose military storefront has been active and served the militaries and police forces of various nations throughout the world.
As well as serving the Samozniy Military as the in-house armaments and customising facility, we have provided close to 100 billion NSD worth of equipment to 8 nations around the world, building up a moderate and loyal customer base.

However, due to the SMI being entirely state-run, various key areas of consumer communication such as an official diplomatic record and a general lack of eye-catching technique used, it has been decided that the SMI is beginning to lose its effectiveness, as an entirely state-owned and operated company - choked by bureaucracy and utilitarianism.
As such, from midnight (23:59 GMT) Sunday the 12th June 2011 (standard NS calendar), the Samozniy Military Industries storefront will be permanently closing to foreign investment.

But, the upshot of this will be that by 15:00 GMT on Monday the 18th July 2011 (standard NS calendar), that the Samozniy Military Industries V2 thread will be up and running. The temporary closing is due to the Samozniy government giving control of the SMI back to the private sector, which will bring in a much more motivated sales team, requiring a massive change in the organisation's structure and appearance. With it, this will bring a vastly improved consumer service department, dedicated communiques including current-format accounting charts that will improve customer relations.
This new thread will also bring about a new storefront layout, a new way of describing our products, and even more products to describe.
A recent post describes future confirmed and planned products to be sold here. In addition, the Samozniy Naval Surface Warfare Group will finally fully open, and be able to supply completed warships, the Samozniy Space Corps will produce further spacecraft technologies, and the Samozniy Technical Improvement facility will finally open to foreign militaries, providing customisation on weapons and equipment.
The looks and feel of the storefront will also improve.

This is one of the competitions that SMI has entered for, which are currently the only investment the storefront is remaining open for.

We greatly appreciate the Slovitrean Military having selected the SA-AR-1 Mod 1 Programme as the successor of their SABR (Special Advanced Battle Rifle) competition. There are a variety of payment methods available with such a large purchase.

Even further so, as briefly pointed out in the SABR Competition Entry post, we can offer a DPR system that produces a weapons factory in your nation capable of manufacturing the entire Mod 1 line.
The SMI rate for weapon DPRs is typically equivalent to 1 million times the purchase cost of the weapons. However, the V2 storefront will also bring with it a new DPR rate, that takes into account DPR of previous weapon systems.

A possible DPR rate for the programme would be $2.2bn for the production rights and manufacturing facility of the AR-1, and then since the factory would be capable of producing the other weapons, the subsequent systems require a lower outlay, of 200,000 times unit cost. This would bring the total to $4.3 billion.

This cost is significantly higher than for the original purchase order size, but allows for simple manufacture and service to the rifles, and even, if necessary for whatever reason, regular replacement of the rifle systems as issued.
However, notes 1 and 2 demonstrate how this 'factory' system works. The SA-AR-1 Mod 1 Battle Rifle, being the base rifle, has a 'Full DPR', equivalent to 1 million times unit cost. This purchases and constructs a factory building, machinery, specifications and parts to manufacture the AR-1 Mod 1 BR. However, the remaining four component systems of the Mod 1 Programme are all manufactured from, effectively, the same weapon. So the remaining four modifications only require the purchase of 'System DPR', which purchases additional specifications and machinery relevant to the additional systems. These 'System DPR' work out at 200,000 times unit cost.
