But as with all other religions, it is strictly a personal matter and in accordance to "Freedom from Religion" has no influence in decision making processes such as government or laws. The Federacy regularly condemns Western nations that attempt to ban Islamic religious dress, and the Archepiscopal Church of Kiravia and the Marcevangelista Catholic Church are ardent opponents of Islamophobia.

We aren't entirely sure why, but it may or may not have something to do with the fact we've always welcomed Jews fleeing oppression elsewhere, and the fact we don't stand for outlandish demands from religious clerics of any stripe seeking to impose their beliefs on the rest of the public, and we certainly do not stand for threats of violence (let alone actual violence) in retaliation for the free expression of ideas they happen to dislike.

Shariah courts are explicitly not permitted; Menelmacari law is the only law in Menelmacar. Halal meat is nearly impossible to find, largely due to the near-total lack of a market for it. No, you do not get to wear a veil for your driver's license holo. And there have been all of three cases in Menelmacari history of an extremist imam attempting to incite violence from his pulpit; in all cases the culprit was, once convicted of sedition, promptly deported and barred from entry for life.

Public sentiment could be classed as 'slight distrust and suspicion'. There isn't an official policy aimed at deterring Muslim immigration, but we're not exactly eager for more, honestly.
