BBCode Conflict

Postby Belkaland » Thu Oct 08, 2009 9:55 pm

I was attempting to tidy up my storefront with the use of spoiler tags when I ran into a snag...

Resulting Conflict:
Fighters:

Hy-1
Image
3 Hy-1s in a clean configuration in route to the Vihenian Federation

The Hy-1, the first original design by Hypersphere Ltd, is a medium-weight, single-engine, delta-winged, twin-tailed single seat multirole fighter with an all-moving forward canard plane. Unlike many aircraft being developed by Hypersphere’s rivals, the Hy-1 is a non stealthy aircraft. This is due in part by the desire to sell the Hy-1 to nations unable to afford expensive stealth fighters and to ensure that is was mass-producible.

Image
2 Hy-1s in a high banking turn

The Hy-1’s engine is a single BeE-100-5, a derivative of the F-135-400 used in the F-35C. It has 15% fewer parts and a 35% increase in thrust with a max output of 54,000 IbF. Because of this massive amount of thrust, the Hy-1’s top speed is near Mach 2.2. While a normal nozzle is standard, a 3D thrust vectoring nozzle is available for the engine.

The Hy-1’s radar is a variant of the F-16E/F Block 60’s AN/APG-80 called the AER-100, built by Hoffnung Technologies. The two radar systems are nearly identical save for the AER-100’s larger antenna. Because of the larger antenna, the range of the radar has increased 10%.

To allow the Hy-1 to fit into any nation’s Air Force, the fighter is capable of fielding almost every modern missile in production. This is possible by utilizing specially built pylons which can be switched out at a moments notice. There is in total 8 hardpoints, 4 fuselage stations & 4 wing stations. The #2 & #7 hardpoints are wet hardpoints for 1000L fuel tanks used by the Eurofighter Typhoon. And as with any good fighter, the Hy-1 is equip with an internal gun mounted in the left wing root just behind the intakes.

Statistics:

It looks like the issue is an overlap of the blocktext and spoiler tags. Easily resolved by placing the opening blocktext tag inside the spoiler instead of outside of it, resulting in this:

Just like with HTML tags, BBCodes shouldn't be overlapped. Your version of the above basically went |blocktext||spoiler| TEXT AND STUFF |/blocktext| |/spoiler|, which caused the problem. The version I posted goes |spoiler| |blocktext| TEXT AND STUFF |/blocktext| |/spoiler|.

Always close your BBCodes in the same order you opened them, and you shouldn't run into this issue again. :)
