The car pulled up to the lovely grounds of the Ganosian Royal Palace. Out stepped Shinya and his wife Mei-Chen the cutest young couple you'll ever see both dressed up nice and neat for this great event. They were really excited to spend some time in Ganosia. Mei-Chen had an affinity for wonderful archtecture and pretty things. "Wow this is so lovely! I'm going crazy!"

"Goodness I do not know how people stand these automobiles." Shinya complained

"Come now Shinya, we had them back in my home country they're not so bad. Though I can't argue they're as romantic as a white carriage we got for our wedding."

The two walked inside admired the grandess of the whole room "Wow, you sure they won't mind us? I mean you're just a Naval Officer and I'm an author."

"Course. I didn't see anything that said this was for leaders only. Even if The Princess did come I don't think she would want to be doing anything political."

"You're probably right about that."

Adrian Killborne and his very pregnant Ganosian wife arrived at the Ganosian Royal Palace in plenty of time for the Gala, Killborne helping Dolores out of the car when they arrived. Decked out in his Lamonian Army dress uniform, Adrian cut quite the dashing figure, but he was sure that everyone would be staring at his wife, knowing the reputation that Dolores had in Ganosian social circles. They didn't call her the "master butcher" for nothing, after all.

Even pregnancy did not seem to slow her down all that much, but she had been doing a lot more desk work lately. Adrian had to admit to liking the idea of being a father, and couldn't wait for little Tala to be born. First though, they had to survive this Gala.

David Kalimonson listened to Miss Boone, twirling his wedding ring on its finger. "Well, Miss Boone, on behalf of Ossurwald, I think it would be right if I present myself to the Queen. So guiding me to her might be in order." He smiled, a wan grin with his lips closed.

The New Edomites

Princess Rebecca smiled at Lilith, and put her arm through James' with a twinkle of mischief in her eyes. "I do believe it is the famous Princess Lilith...it is such a pleasure...have you met my husband, Prince James?" she didn't bother to introduce herself at all, she clearly expected to be known. Her dress was cunningly designed; underneath the straps that only covered the middle of her bosom was a hidden bra cup that actually held the dress in place, so that it only had the illusion of being in danger of slipping at any moment; it was an elaborate tease. Rebecca was already liking Ganosia; she felt a rush at Lilith's look at her. James was deeply amused; he and his wife had played this game before. In Ganosian fashion he offered to kiss Lilith's hand. "Enchanted, Princess..."

Sif listened as William spoke to her. It was hard not to feel embarassed and weirded out; she had never met him except the one time before, and he was in love with her. "Why don't you tell me about yourself, apart from being the leader of my appreciation society?" she asked.

The Mayflower - International Airspace

The golden Mayflower soared through the sky, like a woodpecker on a overdoses of speed, with it's pilot, aptly named The Pilot, being drunk as always. The Pilot, Pappa's personal pilot, was a ex-Jet fighter among other things and was one of the few people that actually flew better when drunk. Usually sitting in his cockpit, where he had a small home-brew set installed, he never flew on autopilot, as he said that those things were extensions of the Intergalactic Council of Über-evildoing Aryan Zionism, or something like that as no one ever listened to him while he said it. Either way, lift off and landing usually involved swallowing a two-litre bottle of Vodka in order for it to go as smooth as a baby bottom.

The most important thing now, however, was the occupants of the other parts of the Mayflower. In the cargo hold, Gustavo inspected the three Maktarov-Lazmakta's that were now taking up space in the cargo hold. The small but extremely agile and fast cars that also had a extremely good mileage, especially after Gustavo modified them, had been bought by Pappa from the nearby Maktarov-Lazmakta car dealer in order to have a car in Ganosia. The cars, which were used in Grittonia for so called 'midget races', had been especially picked by Pappa due to their small size and relatively high speed. Next to that, they were one of the few Grittonian-made cars that were small enough to pass through the Ganosian ballroom.

In the bedroom, Pappa was taking a beauty nap with the Perviolosi twins on each side of him also taking a nap. While it usually wasn't normal for Personal Assistants, the Perviolosi twins both had had a relationship with Pappa and as such, they didn't really care, both the twins and Pappa, how or what because they had already seen everything of each other. Next to that, Pappa's bedroom was the only one in the plane and while the seats could fold fully vertically and were extremely comfortable, a bed was still much better.

In the bar space of the plane, Nicolai Übergay was preparing a large flask of his personal Vodka, the strongest home-made Vodka in Grittonia. After pouring his Vodka from the home-brew set that he had installed in the bar space, he placed the Vodka in his favourite suit, the suit that he would be wearing to this Tour. His golden, silk suit that was specially tailored for him by the best tailor in Germantown, Wilhelm Adolph III, just before he died. The tailor, of course, Nicolai wasn't a zombie. Except in the morning before his coffee and Vodka.

The ballroom

As the people mingled in the ballroom, the Grittonians were coming in their Maktarov-Lazmakta's. Nicolai and Pappa coming in the first, in the Maktarov-Lazmakta that was painted in Gold and Silver, the colors of the Grittonian flag. The Perviolosi twins followed in the second one, which was painted red and blue, after the colours of their leather suits. Gustavo finished in the third one, which was fully pained in camouflage... Driving into the ballroom, of which the doors were hastily opened by the people who opened the doors, they did a little trick and the Maktarov-Lazmakta's ended up in a row, parked. One, by one, they left their cars, ending with Pappa getting out and putting on his sunglasses, hiding a pair of piercing blue eyes, which were mainly created by contacts.

The Villa Family took their first steps off the boat into Ganosia after the long and stormy trip. Gisela was super excited in her usual hyperactive manner. "We're here! Yay." She darted around

"Gisela, please stay close." Shino urged. "She's so full of energy that one."

"She is, mama but you can't fault her for it." Marcella said

George stepped off too he seemed to get better and better over his sea sickness but he still had his slips. "How do we get to this ball they have going on?"

"I think they said a car would come for us. Oh there!" They saw a chauffeur holding a sign calling for them. "Gisela, over here baby." The family piled in the limo. Gisela examined every nook and cranny on it while their Ganosia Greeter welcomed them told them what they need to know and what language to speak.

"Gisela, please..." Shino urged her to behave

"Quite all right," Their guide told them "She's perfectly welcome. We know much about AHSCA and how poor--Er-I how limited means it is down there..."

"Yeah we get it, we're poor." Marcella said rolling her eyes a bit.

"Please forgive me. Her highness is so very anxious to meet you it would be a shame for you to be offended by my big mouth."

Shino said "It's fine don't worry. I'd like to meet Quinn my self."

The limo pulled up to the ball room. The Chauffeur opened their doors to let them out and they went inside. "So lovely here in Ganosia." Shino admired the ball room.

There was this awkward moment when the Ganosian attendants appeared to grant the Grittonians their transportation that'd take them to the ballroom. First of all, it was decided suddenly that Miss Boone would have to be the tour guide/attendant of the Grittonians since the original attendant was stricken with illness, leaving David Kalimonson with some new tour guide/attendant named Steve who seemed more like he was meant for telemarketing rather then guiding foreigners on tours of Ganosia. When Miss Boone finally arrived, she humbly welcomed the Grittonians, trying her best to restrain herself from saying something stupid about them, having known about them from those newsreports about how Grittonia and Ganosia had declared solidarity over mutually held beliefs such as their mutually shared tendencies to be tolerant towards homosexuals. Homosexuals. Let's say that Grittonians made homosexuality seem so much more awkward in the eyes of certain people these days, certain people who couldn't handle the concept.

But Miss Boone wasn't homophobic or anything like that. She was merely being nice to the Grittonians by telling them about the arrangement and how she'd be their tour guide throughout their tour of the Ganosian nation. She had to admit she was baffled by Nikolai's surname too much for her own good, so much so that she even told him about it in a cute and innocent tone of voice - showing that she seemed ripped from the scripts of movies where she was the honest receptionist, the naive secretary.

"Ubergay? That must be some sort of alias, right? Nickname? Well, I'm sure no one's going to raise any issue about it, except for some laughs. You ought to know that the Queen has two openly gay siblings. Princess Lilith and Prince Hadrian. You'll probably meet both at the gala tonight. As for those children, um, Pappa, right? Yes, Pappa. Are those your sons? I'm trying to refresh my memory....I was only just assigned to your group and without warning so I'd like to get my bearings straight. If you could be so kind as to tell me about yourselves, I'll try my best to satisfy all of you....with a properly informative tour of the nation, I mean."

When they all arrived at the ballroom, Miss Boone summoned over the Grittonians. "If you'd all follow me, I'll take you inside the ballroom. Unless you just want to go in by yourselves and all. Just make sure to contact me tomorrow - you'll all be sent to your hotel rooms later tonight and you need to contact me tomorrow so I can pick you all up and get you started on your tour."

------

The entire ballroom was lit up like a torch in the darkness of a dungeon. Like a light in the darkest depths of a Motokatan prison. Everyone was dancing and cheering and kissing and embracing and drinking and eating and playing and having fun. There was seemingly no limit to the excitement, no limit to the celebration, no limit to the flirtatious women and chivalrous men coming out of the woodwork to flood the ballroom like the great legions of fish in the seas of Xanadou. Oh, fair Xanadou, lands of our fathers! There were soldiers discussing the wars overseas, usually with indifference due to the fact that Ganosia has no reason to shed its children's blood for the pursuits of others. Indeed, Her Majesty appeared - ex nihilo - to say to them, after they saluted her with humble and sincere respect, that the Ganosian nation would stand by her AHSCAN allies and allow their refugees to come to Ganosia. The Queen's soldiers all humbly saluted again and decreed that they would support the admission of the refugees. Then there were guests from the Ganosian overseas territories - the Queen's Pride and Thornfield, all of whom beseeched the Queen to hear their best wishes for her future during her hopefully marvelous and prosperous reign. So did the countless guests - the locals - who were around the Queen.

Hank Hannigan stood imposingly over the Queen to give her more than enough protection. She walked, he walked, and his massive height frightened the nearby flirty girls who were conveniently around for any Prince Charming damn well worth his stuff to them. They all scattered away while the Enclave officers nearby laughed at them, as if they were inclined to see Hank Hannigan terrorize them gleefully throughout the night. But Hannigan merely followed the Queen without even noticing the frightened women. If anything could be said about him, it was that his massive hand scared a little boy when he - not him - took the last Khlav Kalash sandwich. He followed the Queen, eating his sandwich, all the way to where she stood with Allison Amber who actually wore a lavish dress befitting her esteemed station. They noticed that Shino and her family had walked into the ballroom, and Allison managed to nod affirmatively to show she hadn't let the tunes in her head get the best of her - it's her mechanism to occupy herself during stoic idleness.

"Those poor primitive savages!" said the Queen, agahst with shock and awe at the sight of Shino and her children. "How can We ever help them?"

"Start by toning down the Ganosian Man's Burden routine for a moment," Allison jested. "Just try to show them what Ganosian civilization can offer them, alright?"

"Don't order Me around, Allison. You are My subject," Quinn scoffed.

"Quinn. Quinn never changes." Allison commented before she withdrew into the developing crowd of Enclave cadres. Quinn merely summoned her entourage of attendants - including Steffy the Neko maid, Hank Hannigan, and soldiers of the Queen's Guard clad in well built power armor suits - and marched towards Shino Villa and her family with auspicious trepidation. Suddenly the new arrivals were halted in their tracks as the attendants bowed on each side of the Queen while scary power armor wearing goons (must have) frightened the children of Shino Villa, but the Queen's tender voice should have lured them out from behind their mother's skirt. "Shino Villa, We have expected your visit ever since our nations first broke open the diplomacy between us. How lovely you and your family look tonight. Please accept the continued support of the Ganosian nation."

The Queen's attendants bowed again only to form one solid mass behind the Queen, while the soldiers stood at each side of the mass. Hank Hannigan loomed right over the Queen while Steffy produced the Queen's requested cream soda in a crystal goblet. "The Ganosian people have always valued our auspicious friendship with you, Shino Villa. Please feel free to be right at home here tonight, but do be warned to be in your hotel room when the gala has ended, for tomorrow is the beginning of the grand tour for all you foreign guests. We have prepared everything for you. In fact," the Queen said, snapping her fingers, "We have appointed, personally at that, specific attendants to be your tour guides for the tour ahead, but seeing as how you are of a primitive and backwards culture back on your islands, it has been decided that you will be under My supervision. We will go on the tour together while your lovely children will make friends with mine in the spirit of friendship."

The Queen's attendants then began to make strange motions like they were Qing Dynasty statesmen, bowing profusely while the Queen's Guardsmen were merely stoically watching the whole scene unfold. Steffy then produced, for the Queen, a plate of caviar and crackers and while the Queen led them all around the ballroom, the Queen soon made her way to the hastily established podium, although the Queen soon enough just yanked the microphone from the clutches of the attendant and proceeded to speak to her guests. "We personally welcome all of you to Ganosia for the Ganosia Day gala! Please be warned that all foreign guests will be sent to their hotel rooms following the gala, wherein they will prepare for the beginning of tomorrow's Grand Tour of My realm. Your tour guides have already been decided, but certain individuals have been endowed with the ability to choose their own. We shall be showing around Our dear friend, Shino Villa and her lovely family from AHSCA, as her tour guide for the entire duration of the tour of Ganosia. Please be advised that the tour will also be taking you all to Thornfield and the Queen's Pride respectively following the end of the tour in Ganosia. We wish you all a lovely and fun filled night, but be warned that the Enclave will promptly expel all troublemakers, most likely without warning from any member of the Enclave here tonight."

Then the Queen's attendants bowed profusely before the Queen like some imperial Japanese officers would, and the Queen humbly sought out Shino Villa again. But this was only to ramble on about how the Queen felt that - for primitive savages like Shino Villa - that her nation had some rather decent fashion sense when it came to parties. The Queen then handed the microphone over to a representative of the shadowy Enclave who announced that Abishag Korey - groaning when she realized she'd be swamped with diplomatic requests now - would handle any diplomatic requests, should people want to squeeze some in during their fun tonight. Abishag merely stood from her table and showed her gorgeous self albeit briefly as she soon facepalmed and retreated to the side of her husband, who was obediently beside her at all times. And then the microphone was passed to some representative from the Ganosian tourism board or whatever it was called, outlining the procedure for acquiring one's hotel rooms. But throughout all this, the Ganosian royalty were transfixed on their own targets.

Having suddenly sworn off Kayaneh Kassouni without any second thought, being that she was a despicable mugu, Prince Cyrus suddenly appeared out of nowhere in front of the Belfrasian Princess with humble offerings of holiday wishes. "You must be Princess Catherine of Belfras. I remember seeing your photograph in that book, Who's Who in Xanadou, and I must say it does you no justice at all...."

With Cyrus distracted by Catherine's apparent appeal, the other princes earlier mentioned began to separate and go their own ways. Daniel sat in a corner of the room with his eyes turned inwards upon memories he had of his infatuation with Sona Kassouni while Constantine danced with Aline despite the fact that certain guests were staring at them, often whispering negative words about Aline amongst themselves. Even Allison Amber - seeing the sight - gestured to it and muttered something about Aline's sordid past. Then there was Jacob and Siran. Oh, Jacob and Siran. The two stole the spotlight when Jacob not only dragged SIran onto the dancefloor but danced with her in such a passionate way that he even placed a rose in her mouth and carried her around the room, spinning her round and round and letting everyone watch him, watch them, dancing like madmen, like lovers, like the golden idols of loveless housewives watching petty soap operas. They were doing the tango - the clean one - and Jacob eventually picked up Siran off the ground and cradled her in his arms while she hung onto his neck - it was beneficial to Constantine who whispered to Aline that Jacob was distracting even the naysayers with his antics.

Dolores was nowhere to be found, at first. Adrian could have looked all over the ballroom, but it seemed that she had disappeared, wearing her specialized maternity dress uniform, but as soon as Adrian would begin to doubt that she was even still at the gala at all, he could hear the most treasurable sound in the entire world hit his ears like the German blitzkrieg upon surprised Polish defences.

"Bitch! I dare say that the last piece of khlav kalash is mine!"

Dolores shoved one of the other guests so forcefully across the ground that the other guest merely hit their head upon one of the buffet tables. As Adrian managed to appear before the other guest was eviscerated by Dolores, she looked upon him and showed him her newly won conquest with eyes that just stared into his very soul, as if she was posessed by a poltergeist. "If you don't bother to show people you damn well want something in this world, you're not gonna damn well get anything at all," she boldly proclaimed whilst munching her meal. It was somewhat like the time she ate some Lamonian ribs and, when the sauce dripped down her chest, she would rub her belly and say, thank you, baby, in an eerily childlike voice. It made Adrian look like a pedophile because it made Dolores look like an overgrown child. But he wasn't a pervert. He was just her beloved scrawny little twig boy bastard. When an old man was about to take a nearby table for himself to sit at, Dolores stole the seat from him and scoffed, letting the old man sulk away while Adrian sat down next to her at the table.

"So the doctor says that we're going to have a girl. I don't know why you had to get us some pretentious Lamonian turd when you could have just trusted the local doctors here in Olyan, Adrian. Well, anyways, he said that it's most definitely going to be a girl, but after some time talking about it, he suddenly found the urge to retire from his profession. I suppose having a ton of broken bones and being told that critiquing certain individuals would earn you a special place in hell will do that to any man. Right?"

An Enclave appointed bouncer - so it seemed, at first - stood in the way of the Kuronans with his clipboard and his finger wagging in their faces angrily.

"You aren't on the list. Who are you?"

Riemaia wrote:"Hey now buster, that's my daughter your talking about! But you are right, she is just a teeny bit eccentric... eh, you could blame her though, I wasn't really the best mother to be quite fair, but I at least tried, more than you can say for most monarchs!" Claire then looked over the bar and grabbed the closest bottle of wine she could see, ad started drinking right out of it. "Oh I'm sorry, do you want some?" She asked the prince. "So, may I ask your name? You seem to know me already."

"As for those Rations, I suppose if you want them we can sell you some fora trial run."

"Lancelot's the name, Empress. I'm probably one of the oldest princes around, being as I was one of the tyrant's first children from one of his many wives during the days before power got the best of him. But I suppose being batshit insane does that to a man. I must say that I meant no disrespect to your daughter about what I said, but I must say that you shouldn't belittle yourself - you're probably not as bad as others we've both come across. You look rather stunning tonight too, I must say," the Prince said, studying Claire from top to bottom.

He chuckled when he took the bottle of wine from her and gave it back to the bartender who poured him a glass. "Oh, I'm not the one who buys rations. I can help you find the guy who deals with that stuff, though. But tell me about yourself before you do....then again, save that stuff for another day.....we should celebrate tonight and just forget everything around us. That's the spirit of celebration, right?"

Damn, this woman's hot as hell. I gotta keep up the charm, Lancelot cunningly thought to himself in his head. Those black stockings make my brain drool, dammit.

Nalaya wrote:Aline did not seem happy or at ease, nor had she at any point in Ganosia. At least in Nalaya it was dishonorable to speak badly of those who could not defend themselves. Here, anyone and their brother could drag you through the mud. She hated it here: she knew she was unwelcome, reviled, and disgraceful. The only person besides Constantine who treated her like someone they wanted to be around had been Kayaneh Kassouni and the other Nalayan, but that had been brief.

She had come because she hadn't had the heart to say no when Constantine asked. No one had yet said anything she hadn't hurt herself with already. It was worse than Yeraskh, because at least there she had people who understood what necessity would make you do. But shouting, This wasn't my choice! would be a lie. She had chosen. She could have died in the gutter with dignity.

Siran seemed to materialize from nowhere, leaving a kiss on Jacob's cheek. "Taking my name in vain already? Shame. Oh, Francis, Arin called. She wishes you the best...she tried to call you, but I guess you were already here. She caught me on the way out the door."

She shook her head a little when Francis left. "Aline, you look...uncomfortable."

The poor Yeraskhi girl made a small gesture of helplessness, green eyes solemn and shadowed. "I know when I am not wanted, Siruhi. It is not unexpected, but that wounds me even more."

"If anyone says anything, tell me," Siran said firmly. "I will slap them into next week. Though why Constantine isn't dueling them already is beyond me." She gave him a sharp glare. "Perhaps he is too distracted to notice? We're talking to you, Constantine. The words are not coming from Aline's chest. And Cyrus, before you start making doe eyes over Kaya, I think she's already carrying a torch for someone."

-----------

Kayaneh came out of her shell much more around fellow military officers, the rigid bearing softening a little to reveal a person underneath. She respected Ganosian officers just as much as they did her, honored to have the opportunity to speak with people she would likely end up training and fighting beside in the future, particularly if Anahid opened up the Academies to students from allied nations.

Francis finally stopped moaning over his soiled tuxedo and thought about Arin. "I'm glad she's alright. I wished she could come along but I wouldn't force her to stop paying attention to her duties as a soldier of Nalaya."

Irikah nodded in agreement. "I feel the same about Rehan, but damn it, I hate her for how she teases my hormones. I wish she was here with me though. How I'd love to just dance the night away with her....to just dance the whole fucking world away and to just be us. Irikah and Rehan. No formalities. No ranks. Nothingness. Just us. Au naturale."

In the distance - obviously - Jacob whispered in Siran's ear with such tingling love that it would have made her purr like a kitten. Goddamn, that turned him on when she cuddled with him and did that. "Wanna go have our own personal celebration, babe?"

And then there was Kayaneh. She had just fallen into the sight of one of the officers she was speaking to. "Thomas Asari-Dokubo, K'an Sarzhant. That's my name - don't think you have to use ranks around me though. There's no need to rely on them. Most people here don't even bother calling me anything other than Chief Tommy because that's the apparent moniker I've got during my service in the Ganosian Armed Forces, but I suppose it comes with working around a bunch of rowdy soldiers. So, Kayaneh, you're Nalayan? We have Nalayans in the Ganosian Armed Forces, if you didn't know of them. I always said your nation deserved nothing more or less than unconditional respect from us. You all remind me of my Biafran ancestors, who - like your people - fought valiantly in the name of liberty and justice."

New Edom wrote:The New Edomites

While Sif Finnhald suddenly recieved the greatest blow-by-blow lecture about the life and times of His Royal Highness, Prince William, which showed that he was an all around gentleman and knight of modern day chivalry (he had many hobbies, interests, and achivements far too numerous to list here especially in the way he spoke of them) and the President of the Sif Finnhald Fanclub which he started out of his own mansion, Lilith merely grinned while speaking to the two Edomites, knowing that although marriage never stopped her from conquering certain women who you'd think were off limits, that she wasn't going to seduce Rebecca unless she was actually willing to go through with it. If she had an open marriage and all, she wouldn't have minded diving into Rebecca's arms....well, vice versa, for this is Lilith here and not some lovestricken mugu schoolgirl from Sonomi. Lilith merely nodded her head when James appeared. "Oh, I'm afraid I haven't met your husband, but I wouldn't mind it."

She actually let the Prince kiss her hand, which only made her smirk inwardly about how she kissed the hands of other women before in order to paralyze them with her charms. "You can just call me Lilith tonight. There's no need for formalities between fellow royalty anyways. I was just talking to your lovely wife, James, and I must say that Edom has become quite popular in Ganosia, aside from Prince William's attempts to get Quinn to make a literal royal society for Sif Finnhald appreciation. I myself have visited Edom, and I must say that aside from the hot women you have there and the stupid modesty laws, that you have a pretty cool nation I'd love to keep visiting whenever I get the time from other - more pressing - pursuits."

Lilith chuckled, her eyes scanning Rebecca briefly as if for clues, for signs, for keys. "So, how are things for the both of you?"

And in the distance there was William. "Well, surely you must do more than merely be the Edomite Foreign Minister! What do you do, Sif Finnhald, when politics doesn't have you chained to a desk?"

Hugora wrote:
Ganos Lao wrote:Interestingly - as if by a stroke of fateful convenience - April was separated from her ward. She was discovered by the self proclaimed Ganosian Ambassador to Hugora, who merely kissed her hand and welcomed her to Ganosia. She was told that his name was Constantine Paoli and that he was one of the members of local nobility in Ganosian society. He pointed out, while walking with April into the ballroom, that Ganosia was never like what the Hugorans had said about them. He made note to tell April all about how the capital, Olyan, was cosmopolitan and wonderous and multi-cultural, with many races and non-human species within. Even in the ballroom, you could see this. An Afro-Ganosian man walked right past April, while in the distance she could see Irikah, half-human princess of Ganosia, eating roast beef while talking to her best friend, Princess Vivian. Constantine merely chuckled and offered April a seat at his table - he even pulled it out for her while the other man at the table - his younger brother Maurizio - suddenly saw Jennifer and ran up to her to welcome her personally to Ganosia.

"You are taking notes at a party? You shouldn't feel the need to do that tonight, madam. Today's Ganosia Day. You should relax and have fun. The name's Maurizio Paoli. Who might you be?"

He chuckled and extended his hand for a proper greeting. Luckily he kept his eyes off any cleavage she may have displayed. "You are Hugoran? Fascinating, isn't it? A Hugoran in the middle of Ganosia. Well, I do hope you'll find Ganosia to be far greater than whatever petty slander the Hugorans have said of us."

April looked around quickly for Jennifer, but the glacier-like crowds obscured all view of her. She had been told to keep an eye on the woman--and after Dominanthia, she knew Jennifer was a trouble magnet--but she was nowhere to be seen. And then Constantine appeared, and in the fuss of his hand-kissing, which he didn't need to do, because it wasn't like she was royalty or anything. But she didn't make a big deal of it, more of a polite protestation tinged with definite flattery.

She followed him into the ballroom, looking around at the patrons and wondering if this was what all foreign places were like. There certainly weren't parties this diverse in Hugora--the only Africans at those were the wait staff. And nonhumans were non-existent in Hugora. She said as much to her new companion as she sat down.

"And we certainly don't have nobility," she said, in that eager voice of someone sharing what they saw as something very important. "I always though that meant a bunch of old people in cloaks and crowns, oppressing everyone."

"That's just some pseudo-proletarian mythology spread around to bolster one's belief in stupid ideologies like Communism," Constantine scoffed indifferently while his eyes were studying April, discovering great deposits of sex appeal. He merely kicked up the charm while he spoke to her in an already flirtatious fashion, although he toned it down later on when he realized that the Queen wouldn't appreciate him helping to give foreign women the impression that all Ganosian men were sex fiends. But someone stricken with the beauty of a certain woman could not help himself and so Constantine pressed on.

Finally, she caught sight of Jennifer, being approached by Maurizio. She sighed. "I hope she doesn't get into trouble again." It was sort of under her breath, but Constantine would easily have been able to hear it.

"She's a grown woman. She can handle her own affairs. But let's talk about you, April. What makes you tick? Was there anything you wanted to know about Ganosia, aside from the Hugoran propaganda?"

Just a few feet away, Jennifer had been making a few causal notes, noting the interracial and indeed interspecies mix of the guests, when Maurizio walked up to her.

"Jennifer Tade," she said, slipping the notebook into a back pocket. "I'm a journalist, taking notes is kind of my thing." She shook his hand when it was offered. "I've certainly been told a lot about your nation," she said. "And it wasn't too positive. But Hugora has always seen bigotry as a good enough response to actual spine from foreign nations." She had been personally opposed to the Thornfield incident, writing an article praising the military (a first) for its quick withdrawal. She'd stayed away from Ganosia after that--stretching the truth was stock and trade for journalism, but outright lies weren't her style.

"But I guess I'm here to repair that, a bit at least," she reasoned.

Maurizio was Constantine's younger brother - whereas Constantine was the suave and charming gentleman with his intellectual tendencies, Maurizio was the one who loved fast cars, faster women, and even faster spirits, but at least he was always able to keep his composure around women, especially this Hugoran broad who was already getting leered at by certain individuals within the ballroom, including those that would have made her guilty of racial treasion in Hugora if she consented to dealing with them. Maurizio merely began to explain how he was like her to an extent. "I've traveled quite a fair bit myself around the world, although I've been stuck here since God knows how long....but can I say that you look exceptionally beautiful tonight? You look more like a supermodel than an actual journalist, and I say that with respect. Don't worry about me - I may like my women, but I'm gonna keep my eyes away from your chest there, Jennifer. Yeah, I'm a nobleman. Well, son of a nobleman. Me and my brother Constantine are here tonight to represent the Paoli family. I must say that you're getting quite a bit of attention. I think I see even a nearby prince staring at you. But I can't blame them. But I suppose you'll like somewhere more modest for continued discussions? Would you like to sit with me at my table. Perhaps we can talk about ways to help you write a good report?"

And get in my bed, Maurizio thought. Unlike his professional, older sibling, Maurizio was never known for being subtle.

Aquitayne wrote:
When he felt someone grab hold of him from behind, he was startled - but when he felt the soft hair on his neck he smiled, not paying attention to the cup that he had dropped. He watched her pick it up, taking a quick glance at her backside, kissing her back when she stood up, wrapping her in a hug that he had longed for for months. He looked at her up and down, the breath noticeably taken from him. He walked with her over to the buffet line and got a slice of pizza, grabbing her hand gently and moving to a mostly empty table. He placed his plate down at where he'd sit and then pushed out Lori's chair for her.

He then sat down next to her, admiring how great she looked in her tiara and dress. "You know that even if you hadn't been invited my father could have gotten you in. He has his ways of fiddling with the system... But I must say, Lori, you look stunning. Do you think there'll be any slow music? I actually kind of want to tonight. But anyway, how have you been? Life has been hell in Aquitayne without you. And that's not even the beginning of it." He smiled, reassuring her that he was alright; holding her hand on the table admiring her.

"Your father's a nice man, Sam, just like you are. Well, I've been quite good these past few weeks. I was worried so much about you when I heard that Aquitayne was being invaded and that Ganosia wasn't going to come help you. My father said that the Enclave thought that there were specific complications that prevented us coming to help you, aside from offering aid to refugees and to you to get here to Ganosia. They'll help you but not all your people back home and I found that odd, but I've accepted it. I don't know anything about politics except when those guys speak on the television or that it's the Queen on the money."

Lori daintily bit a chunk of pizza off and, after finishing it, continued to speak to Sam. "Has Aquitayne been able to kick out the invaders yet? I haven't heard too much lately...."

Legionica wrote:Prince Xerxes stood leaning against a wall in his full royal regalia, consisting of gold ceremonial armor and his deep red cape. Atop his head was his golden crown, a laurel wreathe fashioned from the woods of the Sonus valley, surrounding his home city of Romanius. He spoke quietly to his assistant for the trip, Vanya.

Vanya smiled, which made her teeth shine brightly. Vanya was once a resident of Western Legionica, being a Gollic Elf. Her family lived in the forests for years, and due to recent events, was now extremely loyal to the Caesar and his son. "Yes, Xerxes. My father is the only living member of my family, now." She wore a simple, yet beautiful toga, accented by her dark brown hair and golden hairpin, which was shaped like the Eagle of Legionica, a national symbol of service to the crown.

Her mind was filled with the thoughts of Ganosia, which was home to Xerxes' family on his mothers side. She had met Judith before, and she was impressed at how the Empress carried herself. Vanya had never been out of the country before, and this all was a new experience to her. The buildings, as foreign as they were, slightly reminded her of the buildings of Mid-Eastern Legionica, where she had been during an Aid event.

While the Alakeshwara family's representatives at the gala swarmed Xerxes to welcome him to the gala after the attendants mechnically had done so themselves, Vanya found herself not only alone without Xerxes around, but she also found herself being stared at by one of the locals, who also happened to be the most handsome man she had ever seen in the whole wide world. But he had merely appeared from behind and held onto her waist - because they had met before in rather specific circumstances (OOC: Roll with it, as we discussed, Legionica, my man!) - while leaning in so his chin rested upon her shoulder while he whispered his greetings into her ear to make her purr in delight, just like an aroused Siran Anderson would do.

"I knew you'd be here for tonight's gala, but I think we need to have our own celebrations, don't you, Van?" said the Prince who managed to appear again, but this time in front of the elven girl that he had fallen in love with, who he was aspiring to marry after he had procured enough finances to keep them afloat, since Ganosian royalty were encouraged to make it on their own rather than depend solely on their blessings like idiots, scapegoats in the propaganda of even worse idiots. He offered his hand and pointed to one of the exits - to the hallway where there'd be certain rooms for the two of them to have fun in, just like typical teenagers, but Charles had extended his hand in such a tender way that implied he would gladly stay here with Vanya if she wanted that or even if she wanted to bother helping Xerxes who was not only swarmed by the Alakeshwara family's representatives in the spirit of solidarity of blood, seeing as how Judith Alakeshwara was his mom, but how Irikah soon came across Xerxes and greeted him.

"Hey, Xerxes! Remember me?" Irikah shouted at him, walking towards him. She had long since forgotten their brief amnity at Fielding and had tried to keep him as a good friend all these years.

The Queendom of Ganosia, Xanadou
Unknown Local Time

It was now time for the gala. Dianne had gotten dressed into the saturn dress she had unpacked earlier that day, constantly gliterring within every light she stood in, medals also gleaming proud and with and impressive coat and colour, which would definatly attract attention. Dianne had now left her personal chambers, to allow her partner some time to herself to get prepared, and had made her way across the upper floor of the estate towards the door of her daughters chambers. Standing outside in the glitter of the lights above, she waited for her daughter to emerge. And after some time she did. And, as a true-blooded Kylarnatian, she had made the best attempt to look like an angel.

Agape, only a young teenager and almost ready to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with her mother (5"8'), had fair-blonde hair that streaked across her also round face, steady green eyes gleaming through. She was very pale, almost like a ghost, but her wide smile and cherry lips practically made you think less of it. Wearing a short crop, black dress as any typical teen would, she carried with her a small black purse and around her waist a sash, also decorated with a few decorations, though not as many as her parents. Her heels allowed her to practially look to her mothers face directly, a wide grin on her face. "Hey mum, I see you're ready too. I wish mummy would be as quick as us!" She joked innocently. Dianne laughed along with her. Refrencing to Dianne as 'mum', she refrenced to Leslie as 'mummy' in a more feminine sense, as Dianne was much more stern then Leslie, though just as loving.

"Yes, if only so..." Dianne agreed, beconing Agape to walk more out away from the door, so she could see her better in the light. Truely perfect. "You look beautiful, Agape. You put me and your mother to shame already." Agape blushed at her mothers comment. "Oh, mum, you're such a fibber. I couldn't out-do you or mummy, even at your age." Dianne grinned, though shook her head and placed her hand on Agapes shoulder. "You're a true-blood, Agape, you're born to be an angel." True-blood, meaning Kylarnatian. Before Agape could make another comment, Dianne moved them both along towards the doors of her personal chamber, so they could wait for Leslie. Dianne, while they waited, still studied her daughter. Truely an angel. Though seeing the confusion on her daughters face, she snapped back to reality and knocked lightly on the door.

"Leslie, sweetie, you ready?"

It was like the transfiguration had occured again. It was like the Messiah had just appeared.

Stepping out of her personal chambers in the most exquisite dress that she had ever been able to obtain, Her Imperial Highness, Princess Leslie of Kylarnatia, known to the locals as the Ganosian, albeit in name only due to her Wagdoggie origins, appeared before her loved ones with such beautiful tenderness that she must have shattered the heart, mind, and soul, of her "husband," without even knowing that she damn well had at all done that. For Leslie was the mind, heart, and soul, of Dianne, who was Leslie's mind, heart, and soul, and yet both were enslaved to Agape who held their chains, without even knowing it, but enough of that, for we have to describe Leslie's reaction to her loved ones. Leslie kissed her husband - "You're a man with boobs, Dianne," Leslie had always said, in certain circumstances, - and then looked over to and patted her beloved stepdaughter on her head.

"You both look very beautiful tonight. I am proud of both of you. But we must hurry or else we're going to lose out on all the yummy food and soda. Isn't that right, Agape?"

Leslie hugged her daughter and then laughed as she walked with her husband and stepchild. "Let's try to have as much fun as we can tonight before we get swamped with paperwork again, dear."

Outside there was, as usual, a limosuine waiting for all three of them. Leslie kissed Dianne and giggled as soon as they stepped out of the mansion, feeling a bit cold because the weather was beginning to change around them ever so slightly. She leaned into Dianne and whispered flirtatiously: "If Agape wasn't here, I'd ask you to...um...warm me up in the limosuine....to give me some.....passionate heat."

And then Leslie winked at her beloved as she stepped into the limosuine.

Kalimonson nodded. "Thank you, Miss Boone. I'm a diplomat. I'm used to waiting." He positioned himself where he'd be seen by the Queen as soon as she was finished with this woman.

As he waited he heard some young man say something about communism. He watched the man talking to a young woman. It would be wise to avoid him, since Kalimonson was a communist. It might not go well if he got into a shouting match here. He reached into his pocket and felt the gift the Stadtwalda had given to him.

Doing so, he scanned the room. He recognized Sif Finnhald, his opposite number in New Edom. Some kid was chatting her up. He should probably go over and say something to her after he had his audience with the Ganosian Queen.

The Tour de Ganosia (IC Thread)

Postby Nalaya » Thu Oct 06, 2011 10:19 pm

Siran smiled at Jacob, clearly entertaining the idea. "Simple dress code, no awkward moments, and a dance I remember all the steps to. Maybe if Quinn won't skin us for a little tête à tête."

Aline's feelings of discomfort were in no way getting any better. She knotted her fingers around Constantine's lapel as they danced, skin pale like ivory. Thank God for Siran and Jacob. They had a way of drawing attention so effortlessly that it seemed wholly incidental. She couldn't find her voice to say anything, however. Words tended to tangle up in her throat when her nerves got going.

Kayaneh almost went red. Thankfully, military bearing didn't exactly allow for that kind of display. Siran had already given her hell for her soft spot for the soldier now speaking to her. She'd seen him on some crosstraining exercises, but she'd just been another face in the crowd at that point. And with all the fluttering happening in her chest, something was clearly about to take off.

"You're too kind, Chief Tommy," she said, looking off guard at his compliment, but pleased to hear it. "I have only trained with Ganosian troops a few times, but they never fail to impress. Another year or two, and they will hardly need us around." She said it with light humor, though it was probably true. She'd have stayed longer (and wished she had), but for the late unpleasantness with Accoltia. "You are army too, I assume. This is a great pleasure." My knees are not going to stay up. Actually, they are, but only because of the creases...must thank past self for that planning.

Over by Irikah, Ohanyan chuckled. "Kaya is very good at hiding her little crush on your officer there, but her body language speaks volumes..." he observed. "Ah, that reminds me." He held out the small package he'd been carrying to Irikah. "From the Intendant. I don't know what it is, as she threatened to break my fingers if I opened it. She can be quite fearsome when she tries."
Do you know, my son, with what little understanding the world is ruled?

Christopher sitting down as one of the guards sat down and they started to chat about home."Christopher.I heard Gibetian delegates arrived in Berlina" the gaurd said as Christopher nodded his head with a small smile.

"Yes they have. From what ive recieved by text messages. They're at the swearing in" Christopher said as he sighed and rubbed his chin and looked about as the gaurd spoke up.

"You think theres anyone interesting in this ball room to talk to" The gaurd said as Christopher shrugged, "Unless that person is a communist then we will just be here sitting and talking amongst ourselves." Christopher said

Claire looked over to Lancelot, noticing that he was looking her over extensively. "Lancelot... that's quite a noble name... I suppose forgetting about everything else and celebrate is the point, though its hard to forget that you just had surgery... no scars thanks to modern medicine though!" She then began to look up at the lighting in the room, and back at Lancelot. "I'm not the one that sells the rations anyways... but I have tried them out personally, they are quite good... gained a little weight in the process actually! Alright, would you like to dance or something?"

Nicolai looked at miss Boone, before laughing about her comment. Using his hands to slightly adjust his hair, he smiled, revealing extremely white teeth that were obviously whited by a dentist.

''No, madam. My name genuinly is Ubergay, with the dots above the u. It's my mother's last name, she was a singer you see. The meaning of gay is happy, instead of homosexual in the meaning of my last name. The fact that I am in fact a homosexual is simply... a coincidence. Besides, it was either that or my father's last name, Ubergeil. And since I'm not always horny, that wouldn't be a good pick. You know, now that I think about it, we Germantowners should probably change our names when leaving Germantown.''

Nicolai took out a notepad and his pen and wrote down 'See if there is a possibility in Germantown to change your name. If not, make one.' before Pappa laughed at Miss Boone's comment about the Perviolosi twins. The twins, Manny and Danny, were simply a bit offended. In a act of protest, Danny took out a cigarette and lit it up, satisfying his need for nicotine.

''These kids are 18... So if I was to have them as my biological children, I'd be around the age of 12 when... Doing the deed of making them. And while I was young with charming the pants of women and men alike, I wasn't 12 the first time. No, next to Nicolai, Manny and Danny are also my Personal Assistant. Only change between them and Nicolai is that they are more busy with my company, Pappa Nick P. Enterprises while Nicolai keeps himself busy assisting me. Anyways, darling, let me see what you should now.''

Pappa looked as in deep thought while Gustavo stepped forward, previously sitting on the hood of one of the cars. His two meter long body and width of the same amount, filled with muscle, didn't help him make people feel comfortable. While Gustavo was ex-Grittonian Mafia and had the nickname 'the Butcher of Port Grittonii', this wasn't due to him slaughtering a bunch of people in Port Grittonia but merely due to the fact that he managed to unify all the Port Grittonii butchers in a effort to send aid to some poor, godforsaken nation. In fact, Gustavo was a very friendly guy, as long as you were his friend, since he didn't feel any remorse in the fact that he needed to shoot a potential threat once in a while. Even now, on a state visit, he was wearing enough weaponry on his to arm a threesome of Civilian Militia-members. Having dual pistols in his suit, a FMG in his pocket, knives built into his shoes and throwing knives next to the dual pistols, he was ready for any emergency. Next to that, Gustavo was a relatively good mechanic, able to repair and upgrade almost any vehicle that was brought before him. However, for now, he simply extended his hand to Miss Boone for a handshake.

''Well, I don't know if you need to know anything about me. I'm just here to protect them in case anything goes wrong. I'm Gustavo, Pappa's bodyguard, mechanic and... Well, what else am I?''
''I guess you could call yourself our Quartermaster, you always know what's in the basement.''
''Oh yeah, thanks Nicolai. Well, there you have it. Quartermaster.''

After Gustavo said that, Pappa was finished thinking. Taking off his sunglasses, showing his piercing blue eyes which were partly from contacts and partly from himself, he looked at Miss Boone.

''Well, miss Boone, I have thought about the information that you should need and well... I'm Pappa, 30 years of age, bisexual with no tendency to either side and currently the Supreme Ruler of Grittonia for a lovely 10 years. My birthday is coming up, together with the end of my 11th year of being Supreme Ruler. I also have my own company, a large multinational entertainment company, Pappa Nick P. Enterprises and thanks to that and my own vocal abilities, I once managed to get the record of most albums sold in the world, which I still keep. The record I mean. Next to that, I'm also a sensei, actor, model and almost anything people need me for, which is also why I'm Supreme Ruler, to help my people. There's also a political ideology named after me, Pappaïsm which I helped forming and... That's it, I guess. Here, take a version of my one of my miniature autobiography 'Pappa, Love, Respect, Supreme Ruler.'.

Pappa walked back to his car and got a version of his book and handed it to Miss Boone, before the others started their stories.

^Here are small stories about everyone, except Gustavo. But Gustavo is a enigma.

Sif said in response to William, "I try to stay in shape--I'm not as much in training as I was when I was kickboxing professionally, but I do my routine for at least an hour every day. It's a good way to stay in shape. Politicians get fat way too easily. I like movies, I always have, though my favorites are Westerns and good comedies. They're relaxing to watch. Probably one of my favorite things to do is travel, learning about different kinds of people and customs. How about you, what do you do when you're not being part of the Royal Family?" she deliberately avoided talking about her fan club.

Meanwhile, Rebecca remarked, "Ganosia seems to be always having some kind of party or celebration. Is it fun or does it get boring sometimes?"

Meanwhile, Rebecca remarked, "Ganosia seems to be always having some kind of party or celebration. Is it fun or does it get boring sometimes?"

Lilith chuckled. She thought Rebecca had quite the sense of humor. "Usually we're like any other nations, even your own, but since today is the anniversary of the birth of our nation, hence the day being called Ganosia Day since it was officially created, celebrations are going around in every house in every city, town, and village in Ganosia. I'm sure Edomites have their own equivalent of such a holiday, right?"

On the other hand, William explained how he had been creating some profitable investments, had run in marathons alongside some relatives to raise funds for notable charities, and how he had been hopeful to establish himself in the world after being what he described as shackled to the unfortunate circumstances he had, being a child of Ian Brandon Anderson and all that. Stricken with emotion, he merely said to Sif Finnhald that he meant not to frighten or harass her but that he was merely eagerly in love with her and that she deserved respect and courtesy whenever it came under the light. "Miss Finnhald, I would never want anything more or less than to live my days with you, but I would never force you to do that, nor stalk you like certain individuals have when it comes to celebrities they've had such rabid interest in. It was love at first sight for me though. Seeing you in those movies since I was a teenage boy under Ian's tyrannical patronage - at one point, that's all we could get to watch - it made me feel not only inspired to be as strong and powerful, as a human being like you, but because i honestly loved you. In fact, when my father discovered my love for you, he confiscated my entire collection and did horrible things with it all, that much I am sure of when I think about it. When I tried to get my collection back, he would banish me with nothing but vulgarly perverted words about what he wanted to do to you, as he put you as one of the women he intended to marry when he conquered the world, a fool's dream as we all figured, even as his own flesh and blood children. Those movies you made inspired me to defy him so much that I defected to join the Enclave and fight against my own father's wishes for Ganosia, and the world. I always pictured myself marrying you since I first saw you in those films, but I was never hoping to frighten you about it. I'm sorry if my fan club frightened you, but it was merely created, if anything, just to show appreciation for a popular celebrity like others like me have done for celebrities that they have liked. I suppose my enthusiasm to show my appreciation for all you've done for me led me to be too fanatical in my approach to loving you, but I aspire to change that if you would let me do that."

William then paused momentarily before he continued. "You and I would make great workout partners - your routines must be working since you look absolutely stunning and-"

Suddenly some mischevious guest - a local - passed by and whistled. "Look at that, eh?! Prince William's trying to score with that Finnhald broad!"

And after some too indecent to mention here-sort of vulgarities were said by the miscreant, William continued, unabated.

"and you sound quite like me when it comes to movies. I enjoy comedies quite happily. Your movies aren't the only ones I watch, nor is appreciating you all I do in my life. I'm quite the balanced man, despite my eccentricities. Traveling can be quite fun, too, I think, especially when you're the Foreign Minister or royalty of a nation. Indeed, I've organized countless Sif Finnhald conventions over IRC and other such things like that. We haven't enough resources or popularity to have a SifCon or anything like that, but when Ganosian conventions do open up as they annually do, I organize the Sif Finnhald collection's excess materials to sell them to other Sif Finnhald aficionados. I was disgusted when one so called fan said naughty things about your backside but for our sakes, I won't repeat them."

William then clapped his hands together and chuckled warmly. "Oh, Sif, being with you is much fun. You're quite a nice woman. I always feared you'd not even want to speak to me back when I was a young and inexperienced man, but now that I've spoken to you, you're really more than just some moviestar icon. You're a funny and charming woman."

"She's too old!" that guest said again. "Find someone your own age!"

"Shut it!" William shouted. "Sif Finnhald is a great and talented woman! You're just jealous that at least I'm in contact with women, while all you have is those films with pseudo-Nalayan actors that you watch back in your bunk."

"Bastard! I'll have you know that General Asstronaut is an actual Nalayan! She comes from Yeraskh, damn you! Probably the most decadent city in Xanadou!" the guest said, shaking his fist like an old man at kids on his lawn.

"Wait, you guys talking about my Siran?" Jacob called from where he stood, chuckling before he and Siran vanished.

Eventually the scene died down and William apologized to Sif for the interruptions. "You're far more important than being a piece of meat to me, Sif Finnhald. Men like that are not what I hope to be for you, although I don't want to look like some Motokatan otaku."

Grittonia wrote:Nicolai looked at miss Boone, before laughing about her comment.

"I must say I have no real knowledge about Grittonia," Miss Boone confessed, feeling embarassed that she had misinterpreted the man's name in her mind, but nonetheless she was determined to make it up to him and to herself in the long run, "but I would be interested in learning more about it. I guess it'd be ironic considering I'm here to teach you all about Ganosia, which is a rather tolerant society - homosexuals can freely marry, adopt, and enlist here all without any bureaucratic interference, although you'll occassionally get the typical bigot as you would in any such accepting society like ours. We even have two homosexual royals in our nation, Princess Lilith and Prince Hadrian. I suppose you'd be more interested in His Royal Highness, who I'm sure would be at the party tonight. After all, all royalty come together on Ganosia Day and other such functions. Me? Well, I'm just some commoner just making a living with stuff like this. I'm afraid my life story is hardly interesting."

Feeling embarassed again, Miss Boone blushed vividly. She was so inexperienced with Grittonians. She wasn't expecting to be making this much mistakes, but she figured it was her dreaded lack of personal self-esteem showing up again. The cute and innocent young woman who was too embarassed to even comment on anything concerning her own wards! She shook her head and apologized, trying to cover up her mistakes by speaking about the city they were in. "Well, Olyan is our capital, and it has been for centuries, and you'll find many things to do around the city during your stay - at the Olyan Arms, of course, mind you. There's museums for you if your historically inclined or if you're looking for fun, there's always the clubs. I'm, at this point, just saying this all in the general sense because I haven't really gone to any clubs, although those times when I did were when I was just a high school kid being dragged around by more adventerous friends. But listen to me speak about myself over my own nation! Well, anyways, Ganosia is a vibrant and blessed island. There's a lot to do and see wherever you look and go."

Miss Boone shook Gustavo's hand while smiling quite happily to mask her own lack of self-esteem. "Well, I'm Miss Boone as I've already said, but you can call me Michelle if you want, Gustavo. Outside of being your tour guide for your stay here in Ganosia, I work as a civil servant, specifically within the Ganosian tourism industry where I help to promote our nation around the world with our consistently well recieved promotions and programs. If you were wondering, Nicolai, I'm straight, although I'm not homophobic or anything like that. I suppose having a gay friend in high school helped, but he's been dead for years. Killed by a drunk driver one night. What a shame - he was pretty nice."

"You sound like quite the accomplished man, Pappa. I'm unfortunately merely just some civil servant getting by with my pet cat in a small townhome despite a modest salary. I guess I'm really just minimalistic when I think about it. Now I don't know about Pappaism getting any popularity in Ganosia but I'd be glad to read your book - I'm always interested in learning about new cultures and ideas."

Pappa walked back to his car and got a version of his book and handed it to Miss Boone, before the others started their stories.

While reading the book with liberal interest, trying to stay focused on her work before she indulged in personal leisure, Miss Boone led the Grittonians into the ballroom and then shook Pappa's hand. "If you - any of you - need anything at all, don't hesitate to summon me and ask about it. I'm to be your tour guide and attendant until the tour's finished, but I'll also be here at the gala too, if only to get my coveted chance to be around such exciting local and foreign personalities. Remember that I'll be contacting you all tomorrow for the beginning of the tour so make sure to not stay up too late!"

Riemaia wrote:Claire looked over to Lancelot, noticing that he was looking her over extensively.

Lancelot's heart suddenly leapt slightly within its ribbed cocoon.

How could he know that this attractive older woman in black stockings would be so eager to dance? He merely offered his hand to the Empress and laughed slightly while trying to hide the fact that he was aroused by her beauty - he thought it wasn't proper to show it with relative indifference like that. He preferred to be professional.

"I would be honored to dance with such a beautiful woman, Empress. Shall we? I can hear the faint beginning notes of a exciting folk tune."

Nalaya wrote:Siran smiled at Jacob, clearly entertaining the idea. "Simple dress code, no awkward moments, and a dance I remember all the steps to. Maybe if Quinn won't skin us for a little tête à tête."

When Jacob was alone with Siran, he carried her the rest of the way with his strong and muscular arms. Having his own personal knowledge about the many rooms of his mother's palace still laden within his mind, he merely took Siran out into one of the many rooms - where the chances of being discovered were nil - and proceeded to show Siran one of the best nights she would ever have on this earth. But, as Jacob joked while showing off some smuggled-from-the-table wine among other material, being with her was always able to make every night, every day as well, the best he'd ever have on this earth. And it all began with a simple kiss on the lips, as they embraced tenderly and lovingly rather than just leaping at it like horny Marshite sparkies humping the leg of President Touchstone during that notoriously popular convention in Fineberg.

Constantine whispered sweet nothings into Aline's ears - the tender messages of a loving boyfriend - and said to Aline how she was the best thing that had ever happened to him. When he heard that one guest mentioning General Asstronaut in his argument with Prince William, Constantine swore to Aline that General Asstronaut was not the stereotypical Nalayan for Ganosians, but that it was merely the price of multiculturalism. "Rule 34 transcends the internet," he quipped before kissing her on her forehead and continuing to dance with her all through the night.

Thomas laughed out right when Kayaneh actually called him Chief like his inferiors would, but he made it clear that he wasn't offended by the pretty little Nalayan girl standing in front of him. On the contrary he was actually amused by it, amused by how Kayaneh seemed like she was going to fall onto the ground with the sensations running up her legs. Being a well trained veteran, Thomas knew how to sense these things without any impairment. He merely chuckled and told Kayaneh not to be worried about anything around him. "You don't need to call me Chief Tommy - calling me Thomas would suffice. I must say that the Nalayans are some of the most respectable people that I have ever trained with, and unfortunately I have to also trained with privates who think that General Asstronaut is the epitome of a Nalayan's worth to them. But, it is what it is, and I try to cultivate proper images of those I work with. I must say that your sister's marriage struck a chord with us, at least on those local tabloids and their equally worthless equivalent on the television. Again, I have to be around people who are fixated on such materials, and worst of all, I have to call one of them Her Majesty and swear to die for her on the battlefield!"

Thomas said it so humorously that Kayaneh would have known that he wasn't hostile towards the Queen. "But I do what I do out of respect for my duty to the Ganosian nation, Kayaneh. I saw what your buddy did to His Highness, Prince Cyrus, though. I do hope he won't curse me for not calling you by your established rank like he did with Cyrus, which was most unfortunate because formalities don't belong in celebrations like this, although I guess that's the behaviour of those new recruits - the feeling you get before the responsibilities sink in - finally wearing off on their beloved chieftain. Come, sit down, let me tell you the story of what it's like to be an Afro-Ganosian soldier in the Ganosian army - one who's also in the Enclave itself and had to deal with Prince Francis when he knocked up Arin. At first, I assumed Arin would have beat the shit out of him, but she earned my respect with the way she carried it all out in the end. When I met Francis again, he actually told me about it, and I had to shake his hand and welcome him to manhood out of my own amusement. I don't have a woman of my own, though, no matter how many times my colleagues recommend Yeraskh or local decadence to me but it's not that I'm against having a woman, and it's definately not that I'm homosexual, but I suppose I just haven't found it within myself to present myself to women in this image - the image of the stern faced Biafran who seems to be a party pooper when he's around his men. I'm not like Jacob Anderson, leaving his fiancee's underwear around bathrooms all over Olyan. But I don't hate the man. He is a respectable man, even if his standards could be kicked up a notch. When he donated his entire month's allowance from the Queen to a charity in Nalaya that would help starving kids like Narineh Saroyan once was, I think I saw Siran cry on national, Ganosian, television. She is also quite good in my books. But I think she'd stay only in our books, especially when jacob subtly threatens to beat up whoever dares harm her in any way. Good for him, good for Siran."

Thomas then looked over to see Ohanyan with Irikah. "Ah, Rehan's girl. I trained with Her Royal Highness countless times. She and I have always been quite close friends during our time together....in the Ganosian Army - I would never consider trying to seduce Her Royal Highness and plunge such a dagger into the heart of the Intendant - and I can tell you that she is a quite accomplished woman, one who personally led relief efforts in Pyong-Gang-Ho during their unfortunate tsunami months ago. I know her because I work alongside Manaan Sricos, the man who fathered her into this world, and despite us being in different parts of the Armed Forces, he and I have collaborated before when it comes to training and what not. He has a fine child, and despite what her assumedly pacifistic mother would say to me about it, a damn fine soldier who could one day be a general. She told me once - and I hope she won't try to kill me for telling you this - that she plans to eventually marry Rehan Nazarian and live a life with her outside of all the military red tape and the politics and everything else....I think Irikah has a tendency to view Nalayans, especially Rehan, as unwilling to be actually human. In fact, some Ganosians think Nalayans are robots. If you're decadent enough, hot and handsome robots."

Finally Thomas finished speaking to Kayaneh, but waved his hand to invite her to sit with him instead of just standing there with that embarassed look on your face. He merely chuckled, only to end up speaking about Sona Kassouni's wedding and coronation and how he wished her well on behalf of the Ganosian Armed Forces. And when General Asstronaut was discussed around him yet again, he merely shook his head and told Kayaneh that General Asstronaut was - as Constantine told Aline - an unfortunately inevitable aspect of the mixing of nations.

Irikah opened the package and looked at it with excited eyes.

"What is it?" she asked.

Just then, something happened to make her stuff the package in her pocket.

As Jacob did with the fair Siran, so did Prince Charles with Vanya - he carried her away to some thankfully uncharted-by-other-guests part of the Royal Palace and proceeded to inaugurate the anniversary of the birth of Ganosia with his own celebration with Vanya alongside him, and over him, and under him, and......well, readers, you get the point, right? Long story short, Quinn's male guests would be two bathrooms short for a while tonight, but eventually you'd see Jacob and Siran and Charles and Vanya all having non-decadent fun like everyone else was.

On the other hand, there was Xerxes who suddenly was embraced by Irikah in the spirit of friendship between fellow royals, fellow human beings.

"Who would have thought we'd be friends?" Irikah joked after withdrawing from him. "So, did you just arrive? What's going on with you? How's things in Legionica?"

"Well, right now we're still fighting over a city in southern Aquitayne called Helm. It's been pretty much leveled from all of the fighting, but the Comrade Commisar attackers have been completely obliterated, whilst the Japanese attackers are not finding it homely either. From reports, we've destroyed most of their invasion force, preventing them from pushing anywhere into Aquitayne, which is good news." Sam took a bite out of his pizza and took a swig of his water.

"My father probably wants me to meet some of the people around here, but I don't think they'd want to talk to some kid." Sam laughed and looked around a little, trying to identify any national leaders.

Christopher sighed and stood up out of his chair, "I need a drink" he calmly said as he walked passed others and found the drinks as he poured a glass of scotch into a glass and took a sip and turned and glanced around the ballroom. "Feels good to be ignored by others.Better than being prosecuted for being Fascists" Christopher said low with a sigh and sipped his drink

Long story short, Quinn's male guests would be two bathrooms short for a while tonight, but eventually you'd see Jacob and Siran and Charles and Vanya all having non-decadent fun like everyone else was.

Xerxes admittedly blushed, remembering his fight to prove himself by assaulting athletes while nude. "We've been here since last night, we took my father's jet. Things are alright in Legionica. After all, we just sold off Caesar's Pride to Ganosia. I'm sure you've heard of that, though. Quinn's Pride, now. Too bad, really. I'm 'of age', now. Fully a Prince.I've heard that I'm supposed to get my first official post soon enough, now." Xerxes accepted a glass of wine casually, and sipped it cautiously.

"My father probably wants me to meet some of the people around here, but I don't think they'd want to talk to some kid." Sam laughed and looked around a little, trying to identify any national leaders.

When Sam mentioned the Japanese attackers, those around him and Lori were muttering viciously negative comments about them, some of which were so outright negative that those who said them were literally pretending that they didn't exist, or if they had to exist, that they were merely barbarian tribesmen who were so uncivilized that they had to attack civilized nations out of jealous hatred for them, although the Comraden invaders were given far more respect by the same individuals. Lori merely showed happiness that her boyfriend's nation was safe from harm, but said she didn't know too much about the conflict other than that she religiously watched the newsreels to make sure her Sam was safe from harm, that there'd be an Aquitayne left for her to visit more in depth some day.

"I'm just glad that none of them killed you, Sam," Lori confessed quite happily. She then pointed out the Queen of Ganosia and said that she was sure the Queen wouldn't be rude to him if he sought out an audience with her tonight. Lori took a bite of her pizza and, after finishing it, she pointed out all the royalty and other upper class citizens. "Oh, I feel like those dolls I used to play with as a little girl, Sam, with all these famous people around us. I'm only a commoner and yet I feel as pampered as Yui Oda! Did you know her? She appeared on that magazine about Motokatan anime and she said Miyuki Umino was her favorite director -I love Umino's films! But they're quite sad at times. You ever see that movie she made where she had the little boy take his older sister all around ancient Kurona just to find a cure for her sickness? That poor little boy! It made me cry so much I thought I'd flood my own bedroom."

"It's Queen's Pride." Irikah corrected before she told him about her relationship with Rehan, how she was doing quite well as a career soldier in the Ganosian Armed Forces, and a bunch of other things. She asked him how his siblings were doing and wondered off hand if he had found himself any girl to be with like others the two must have known had, like she had. "I'm sure Rehan would love to meet you again, Xerxes. I wonder how Sho and them are doing.....fuck, I even wonder how Lulu's doing these days."

OOC: UWO, don't feel afraid to go meet with people yourself, man. All participants in this roleplay should not just sit around and expect to be talked to. You all should go out there and mingle. :D

Xerxes looked off in thought for a second. "Sho was a good boy. Wish I could see him more often. Lulu... She was more of a thing than a person. Just like all of my colleagues 'special friends' in the harems. Rehan was an amazing person, really." Xerxes blushed slightly as he said her name, remembering how he once poured his heart out for her. Even now, he still felt a little something for her, and it was a bit hard to say the name without having to swallow some pride and tears.

While Irikah tried to comfort Xerxes, Charles was busy freshening up in the men's bathroom after he finally finished with Vanya. Disposing of whatever evidence there was, he managed to embrace his Legionican girlfriend to tell her that he was going to be her personal tour guide during the tour in Ganosia and that he had rigged the system so that she'd be staying with him tonight after the gala finished rather than at the Olyan Arms with Xerxes. He held her hands in his own and smiled confidently with nothing but praises on his lips about how she was the best girl he could have ever hoped for and how she wasn't just some cheap floozie but a sweet and caring woman. Vanya may have been promiscuous - only with him, thank God, - but she was still human to him, damnit. As he led Vanya out onto the ballroom's dance floor with his hand in hers, he offered her the chance to dance with him, right as some slow and sensual music was being played.

"Vanya, will you give me the honor of this dance?" he asked.

Goddamn, she's sexy, he thought to himself while waiting for her to respond. I can't believe she's actually my girlfriend.

Sam laughed. "I haven't heard of his films before, which is reasonable as our countries are pretty far away..." Sam shuffled his feet a little, thinking about how to break some news to Lori as gently as possible. He grabbed her hand in both of his and looked at her in the eye. "Lori, I'm glad you know I'm okay - I'm glad I am too... But I think it's important that you know that when the invasion of Comrade Commisar commences, I will be going. Because of my fathers status, the military generals believe I should see and learn war. I don't want to be away from you, but I can't neglect my duties." He sighed. "Other than that, I really want to have a good time tonight and however long I'm in Ganosia with you, time always seems to go too fast when I'm around you."

Christopher refilled his glass with scotch and took a sip as he glanced around once more. Andrew joined him pouring a glass of whiskey as he took a sip and glanced around aswell.

"Nobody interesting?" Andrew said as he sighed and sipped more as Christopher glared at Andrew with a shake of his head as he put his drink down and began to speak.

"Not yet.I just hope were not judged for being who we are.., I hate when that happens" Christopher said as Andrew nodded and sipped his drink and wiped his chin and looked around and sighed.
