I (my famliy) have one dog, a mixture of Irish and Gordon Setter, so I have to say that is my favourite, although I really like sheep dogs too (don't know if that is how it is written in English, but in Norway we call it "Saudehond". I also have two cats.

Anyways, I really like Newfoundlands. I've also met some really nice bullmastiffs. However, I remember there are some small dogs I really like too, can't think of an example though.

I also like cats and rats.

I've always wanted a German Sheaperd, but my mom said we weren't going to have two dogs in the house, because our current black lab was enough, which is true enough. So I have two cats instead.

I can sympathize with him. If there's a cat on top of me and I want to go somewhere/do something else, really, too damn bad. Especially if it's over a hundred pounds of cat. And yeah, I do feel bad if I wake her up, even though, like you said, they're quite capable of passing out again an instant later.

Some people do like cows and pigs (and no, I just mean like). I would argue, though, that unlike dogs, cats, that sort of thing, they are prey animals by nature. They expect to be eaten at some point in their lives the same way we expect to die of old age or cancer or heart disease.

5-second working memory, to be specific. Their long-term memory is just fine. Human working memory isn't that different; it starts to decay within a few seconds. We do, however, have a larger capacity than dogs (I believe).
