Citiz Ministry of Sport releases details for neutral site games
submitted by BigDaddy11
The format being employed by the hosts this year involves every team playing their final three games on neutral turf in the host nation. Some disagreed with this notion and others favored it, but with the group stage of the 12th World Lacrosse Championships starting to come down the home stretch, all of the teams are preparing for their trip Civil Citizenry. And even those who were opposed to the format can't help but look forward to visiting beautiful Civil Citizenry.
The groups have been divided into different urban areas across the nation. Cosumar, and the rest of Group 7, will be flying to Bartewick after tonight's game. Bartewick, known for the Victorwick ferry and its prisine beaches, is the illustrious capital of Civil Citizenry. A booming lacrosse city, Bartewick has been assigned groups 5-8 of Championships. While Groups 5 & 6 will take to the field at HQ Arena, Groups 7 and 8 (including Cosumar) will venture to the slightly smaller Locale Field for their final 3 games.
"I was sort of reluctant about the decision to play the final 3 games in Civil Citizenry, for reasons I'll keep to myself" Cosumarite defender Thomas Koma said. "However, I've always wanted to visit Rushmore and the photos I've seen of our beach-side hotel look pretty great. Maybe it won't be so bad. We'll just have to remember that we're there to win, not enjoy the views."
Koma's last sentence is incredibly vital. The Dragons have a sweet streak going, it is essential that they don't let the change of scenery throw them off pace.
Dragons "seemingly unstoppable" after thrashing of Allamunnic States
submitted by Slivelleboy
The World Lacrosse Championships is more than halfway over, and believe it or not, Cosumar is one of only two remaining undefeated teams. Last year, when Cosumar was struggling for a .500 win percentage in their group, who would've seen this coming? But who cares? The Dragons are suddenly good. And what's more, it's beginning to feel like (to me at least) that Cosumar cannot be stopped! I guess these feelings come from leftover adrenaline from last night's fist-pumping game against Allamunnic States.
Watching Cosumar pound the Volunteers to death last night was amazing. Maybe they should be called the Voluntears!!! I'm sorry, that was bad. But the game was pretty incredibly for Dragons fans - I actually was expecting one of the Allamunnic guys to start crying - I sure would have! The Dragons won 19-8. It was a scoring frenzy - it was like the goal was a strip of meat and the Cosumarite attackers were a pack of sharks, if that makes sense. Thomas Koma, Sean Barish, and Tracy Sheppard were all over it. Midfielders Francois Aladoule (he's been hot lately) and Anders Deriel also scored.
Anyways, the inspiration for this blog comes from a line I saw in an article from a writer in The Kytler Peninsulae. He wrote that Cosumar was "seemingly unstoppable" and went on to describe their undefeated-ness thus far. I don't think the Dragons are unstoppable (let's say that if they beat Civil Citizenry) but they sure look like it at this point. Mark my words, they'll go undefeated in Group 7 play.
Dyno's Game Preview: Tarrentum @ Cosumar
submitted by Dynomatic!
Group 7 has been dubbed the Group of Death. All for teams are dangerous. Cosumar is undefeated and in top-form, Armorgames possesses one of the most lethal at the attacker position, and the Allamunnic States - while just a shadow of last year's squad, are still incredibly experienced and well coached. Even last place Tarrentum, with its 0-5 record, poses its own threats. In another Group Tarrentum would actually have a shot at advancing - but unfortunately for this Atlantian Oceanian nation, it drew the short stick in the Group Draw.
Cosumar plays Tarrentum for the second time tonight, and all signs indicate that Cosumar will continue to climb up the standings to 6-0 and Tarrentum's stumble will continue to 0-6. But nothing is set in stone - I'm sure we all remember what happened last time Cosumar hosted Tarrentum. Falling behind, comeback, overtime....yeah you remember now.
Tarrentum is not a bad team, and even though they know they won't advance, no team wants to be winless and Tarrentum without a doubt will give Cosumar all the hell they can handle. I'm predicting a Cosumarite victory but expect another thriller that goes down to the final minutes.
