You could always call it "Heimat." Calling your house in Ireland "Heimat," has a nice deep touch to it showing your love for the place in a nice way.
Or if you prefer English names. I suppose "Wuthering Heights" or "Ferrari" might get a smile out of some people.

In Ireland, it might be a front for an older Celtic deity, which could be a fun name for a house.
Bridgid, for example.
Although Cernunnos would be cool.

Now, we recently found one we adore, and we've put an offer in. We don't have it yet, but there's a good chance we'll be getting it, so cross your fingers for us
Anyway, reason of this thread is, the house doesn't have a number, but is currently named after a saint. And since neither himself nor me can relate to that in any way at all, we're thinking of re-naming it once we have it, only we can't decide on a name that would fit... we neither of us want to go for the traditional corny kind of names like Pine View, or Bluebell Meadows or something along those lines, but we wouldn't mind letting the location of it play part of the name. It's in a village outside Cork, on a hillside overlooking fields and some hills.
I was thinking of "The Nest", but hubby says that reminds him too much of Hitler's Eagle's Nest. He ruled out "The Burrow" the moment I mentioned Harry Potter, and "The Shire" was out for the same literary dislike on his side.
Can anybody suggest anything? I'm just gathering ideas at the moment, so any input would be much appreciated!
