Anyway, you seemed to miss my point entirely. The vast military superiority of the US means that the US can use the canal whether Panama likes it or not IF THERE IS A STRATEGIC NEED for that. And in the meantime, Panama has a huge financial incentive to keep the canal working and open to all.

Do not assume that I'm as fanatical FOR the Carter canal treaty as you are fanatical AGAINST it ... I think there are arguments for and against and it might even fall on the "bad strategic move" side. I'm not saying it makes Carter a good President, merely that the canal alone is not enough to make him the worst ever.

[3]----Give notice that outsourcing will soon be illegalized.

[4]----Use FA and tarrifs to; issue land and cash grants to American Companies, and to fund alternative energy research and utilization.

[5]----Increase trade with Canada and Latin America, with lower tarrifs.

[6]----Withdrawl all troops, unless deemed otherwise, from foreign soil and cut military funds (MF).

[7]----Use MF to further boost American Enterprise and to fund new energy research and utilization.
