I honestly wasn't sure Utica would win that one. Looking at results from the rest of the season I was expecting a close defeat.
Gotta put together a "realistic" box score now, though. Bloody Tigers and their bloody high-scoring games.

Methinks you've been making sacrifices to Marge.

Anyway, I'm out too - two play-off runs in two seasons, although at least I was knocked out by someone who RPed - well done Khabarovsk Krai!

Meh, my QB has had a huge passing yardage season but I don't think he'll get it as he hasn't taken us far enough into the play-offs.

I was going to discuss the player awards here, but now I'm thinking maybe I can use it as an IC response instead
Not sure how to RP the UArk result yet, I'll TG him later maybe... see if he's got any ideas how to escalate our rivalry. We've done the dodgy referee angle, bad blood, last error from a star player, unbelievable comeback... I got nothin else haha

But I will say this... at the moment, its gonna be hard to (ICly) look past Scott Tyler for offensive MVP. The numbers he's put up are crazy.

I've brought it down to Howard Royston of Utica,Scott Tyler of Frbiba State,Black Hugs of Port Salem,Asdul Smith of Darien-Pushania,and Mikjel Ostgurn of Alzburg-Dyka.All QB of the top teams.I'd say in this order,Howard Royston,Scott Tyler,Asdul Smith,Mikjel Ostgurn, and Black Hugs.

Honorable Mentions(in this order):
6. Nick Wooden of BOU
7. Koos M. Vestergaard of Riversbrg-Madison
8. Matthew Coulter-Arkinesia

Sorry for the delay on this one.

NOMINATIONS FOR PLAYER AWARDS NEED TO BE TG'D TO ME IMMEDIATELY
Most Outstanding Player
Offensive Player of the Year
Defensive Player of the Year
Special Teams Player of the Year
Coach of the Year
*Include the nominee's position and grade (FR, SO, JR, or SR) along with REALISTIC statistics and a bio is optional.
*I will not include nominations via this discussion thread, as I don't want this becoming jumbled. TG me your nominations.

I'll wait until July 11th, 11 PM EST to cutoff nominations. I would do it sooner than that, but I will be out of town from the 6th through the 11th, so I'm not going to hurry you guys up or anything. From there, each committee member will send me their votes, and as soon as I have received everyone's votes, I'll post the award winners.

Additionally, the Sequoia Conference Champion is Riversburg-Madison University. Head to head you were both 1-1. RMU's total points were 49 and UAD's total points were only 37.

And there goes our chance for a nearly perfect season! Well, this was one insane version of the playoffs! Number 1 seed got kicked out too early, Brigham Old beat their #7 seed in the first round, Arkinesia got to the semis, MY ROOKIES GOT TO THE FINAL! And our possible soon to be rivals won the whole shibang!

Congrats Osarius. You did say you'd get back at us, and you did. Well, there's always next season.

Defensive Player of the Year: I'll nominate my own Melko Tchitcha of Frbiba State. It is difficult to find a defensive lineman with better stats than him!

I'm not going to update the results because this season just up and ran away from me.

Since I'm still foggy-headed, could anyone give me a quick update on who all has finished signups for the invitational?

*The following are nominations for NSCF 3 Awards. I have TG'd all members of the NSCF Committee. Upon receiving everyone's votes, I will post the winners.

Most Outstanding Player of the Year:
Luke Saint (Utica/Sophomore) - 264-of-371 for 3,262 yards and 24 touchdowns, 18 carries for 66 yards and 1 touchdown; Luke Saint has officially come of age, following a shaky domestic campaign. While his overall contribution is immensely important to the Tigers' success this season, and he has battled adversity in many ways, he owes much to his supporting cast -- senior receivers Barrios and MacLean. That said, Saint's versatility -- note his stats as a ballcarrier -- and remarkable accuracy are worthy of note. Any quarterback who can rack up over 70% completions in their first full season as starter clearly has something special about them, regardless of the receivers they are throwing to.
Mikjel Ostgurn (QB), UAD, SO, Regular Season stats: Passing Yards – 3840 yards, 404/600, 33 TD, 13 INT; Play-off stats: 730 yards, 46/82, 6 TD, 1 INT)
Matt Jennings (Utica/Sophomore) - 217 carries for 1,092 yards and 9 touchdowns; Jennings' ability to shoulder responsibility was underlined this season, as he provided as mentor for two freshman RBs and carried out the majority of the rushing work for the Tigers despite having limited experience. At times, he also stepped in at fullback, providing some important blocks for his younger teammates and showcasing his dedication to the team and his versatility. His determination was also shown after putting up good numbers despite being written off early in the season as a substandard replacement for Sheldon Taylor.

Offensive Player of the Year
Luke Saint (Utica/Sophomore) - 264-of-371 for 3,262 yards and 24 touchdowns, 18 carries for 66 yards and 1 touchdown; Luke Saint has officially come of age, following a shaky domestic campaign. Scott Tyler,Frbiba State,QB,JR
Mikjel Ostgurn (QB), UAD, SO, Regular Season stats: Passing Yards – 3840 yards, 404/600, 33 TD, 13 INT; Play-off stats: 730 yards, 46/82, 6 TD, 1 INT)

Defensive Player of the Year:
Jaap Ravn NT, JR, Riversburg-Madison Ducks, 64 Tackles, 20 Tackles for loss, 11 Sacks, 4 Forced Fumbles
Melko Tchitcha, Frbiba State, DT
Wojciech Kowalski,Alzburg-Dyka,NT,SR
Serhiy Lokaj (CB), UAD, SO, Regular Season stats: 43 tackles, 11 TFL, 6 sacks, 10 INT, 4 FF; Play-off stats: 6 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 sack, 3 INT, 2 FF.
Rigo Kopumava (Utica/Senior) - 47 tackles, 7 assists, 31 pass disruptions and 5 interceptions; It was a tough call, as Dhani Massuso's numbers -- 68 tackles, 20 assists, 6 sacks, 8 pass disruptions, 3 interceptions and 2 forced fumbles -- have also been outstanding, but with Rigo about to leave Utica, it didn't seem right to rob him of his chance to claim an award he thoroughly deserves. Aside from a couple of questionable performances against Arkinesia and Frbiba State -- somewhat understandable, given they were both NSCF final four teams -- Rigo has exhibited a consistently high level of play in thwarting passing plays. His interception stat is perhaps inflated due to his freak showing against Frbiba State in The Pit -- where he got three picks -- but this probably counters any diminishing factor, such as his reputation preceding him.

Special Teams Player of the Year:
Reese Pikel,Brigham Old,K,SO
Esperij Geberec (K), UAD, SO; He has been a great clutch kicker all season, performing brilliantly in high pressure situations; Play-off stats: 6/6 PAT, 4/4 FG.
Paul Atkinson (Utica/Senior) - 21-for-21 on field goals, 36-for-36 on PATs; There was never really any doubt. Paul Atkinson, the owner of the now-infamous "Laser Rocket Boot" which seldom misses. The Utica kicker has contributed almost 100 points to his team's overall point tally this season -- falling just short at 99 -- from his right boot. He boasts a 100% completion record this year, too, making him not only the youngest kicker to represent his nation, but also the most accurate.
Kyle Xanthy K, JR, Frbiba State University Firebirds

Coach of the Year:
Coach Gurlar,Port Salem
Mike Zampese (Utica/Head Coach) - 10-2 record, Woodlands Conference runners-up; Drama seems to follow the Tigers around, and Mike Zampese's job -- although in many ways enviable -- is not one for the light-hearted. Between the immense pressure placed on his team, and the seemingly incessant talk of him becoming national team coach, Zampese somehow finds time to coach his team -- very successfully, we should add, Utica are currently the "winning-est team" in NSCF history -- and keep the media abreast of everything happening at the University of Utica. The 63 year old's candid press conferences -- in which he often places complete faith in his team -- and seemingly unshakable calm are no doubt a huge factor in the success of his program, and have seen even fans of rival schools wanting to join.

*If a team in NSCF 1 or 2 did not participate in NSCF 3, their rankings were not calculated.

The WBC Formula we use for NSCF rankings
"Article I- Divide the number of games a team won by the number of games played by whichever team played the most games. Multiply this "winning percentage" (usually it won't be their actual winning percentage), by 4 for the most recently completed WBC, 2 for the one before that, and leave it as is for the third-most-recent completed WBC; add these three terms together to get the ranking."
