Ejecting a Founder

Postby Really Is This Needed » Fri Jul 08, 2011 11:32 pm

Can a WA Delegate eject/ban the Founder of his/her region? Just a thought due to an inactive Founder.

even if he's banned or ejected the founder can still utilize the ban and ejection options on nations in his region. So even if he's banned or ejected he can still administer control over the region.

Rocky is correct, except that the Delegate could eject the founder only if delegate controls/administrative powers were on. (executive delegate).

So if I eject/ban him, is he able to control the region?

yes, even though you can eject the founder, you can't ban the founder, and the founder can control the administration of the region whilst their in a different region

Well that only seems slightly over powering as it seems they could become the WA Delegate of one region and control it while having control over the region which it once founded.

there is of course the possibility of the founder being non-executive; that meaning the WA Delegate has more control over regional administration than the founder.

This is not true. There is no such thing as a "non-executive founder". If you eject the founder, he will be back and you, yourself will be ejected and probably banned as well.

Try ejecting the founder and all other nations just before the region updates, then refound it. You will then have control of the region, and the founder will not :p

Although the Founder can use the regional controls from outside the region the Delegate (while present in the region) automatically has access to those controls as well -- even if previously limited to 'non-executive' status by the Founder -- in the Founder's absence.

If the nation is classified as 'Anarchy' there still is a [strictly limited] national government... and those aren't "biker gangs", they're traditional cross-Clan 'Warrior Societies', generally respected rather than feared.

Although fair to point out that a non-executive delegate can't kick out anybody.

True, but if a Founder has already moved out of their own accord -- for example to found, and/or become Delegate of, another region -- then the Delegate automatically has 'executive' status.

Interesting thought, if I was to eject the founder then set up a password would that work to keep him out?

He could still ban and/or kick you from outside the region.

If there is an active, executive founder, you can't beat that. Period.

If your founder is totally inactive why don't you wait until they 'die' & then refound the region? Saves all the potential fallout from 'ejecting' them.

If you have to eject them, I'd argue that they're not totally inactive. :P
