It has been announced that rather than roving round the country, future playoff finals will be held at Metcalfe Street, Taylor's Cross. It is hoped that the double-header will attract more spectators (two for the price of one and all that), and that the central location will make it easier for competing teams and spectators.

[Civil Citizenry]

Southwest Rushmore is an area with a high concentration of top football nations. From the westernmost tip of the region, the Whirl Islands, to the independent landmass containing Swartaz and Mytannion, south to Cotdelapoms, across the Sea of Victory to Civil Citizenry and Astograth, east along the Goose Coast to Erathore, and back over the Modraine Sea to Virabia, the entire area is jam-packed with some of the best teams in the world. Though Rushmore already has two region-wide tournaments (the Copa de Campeones and the Copa de los Principes), there has never been one centralized on this one particular portion of the region. The Citiz Football Association has decided to rectify this, and with that has come the organization of the Copa de las Islas.

The CFA invited seven football administrations, along with itself, to send their best teams to Athenstoft, Civil Citizenry. The eight teams will participate in a straight knockout, playing two legs for each round. All games will be held in Red Circle Arena in Athenstoft, the home of Citiz King's League winners Athens Town. Here are the competing teams:

As we always do, we here at Pazhujebi Sport on the following matter. Far be it for us to cast aspersions on any club. We wouldn't want to alienate any fans by criticizing their favorite club. (Unless you support a team that isn't Juvapanam, Urajbina, and Zhevassi, of course. In that case, it's just a matter of fact that you suck. It's been proven by science! Probably.) But Zhevassi may have taken the cake when it comes to rude club behavior! Read on for the scandalous story!!!

As if trouncing the Astograthian champions three one on two separate occasions wasn't humiliation enough, apparently when Iturributa United visited the Graha'ajat Stidiyama, much more was going on behind the scenes than a simple football match! "Trusted" Pazhujebi Sport "sources" have "reported" that the spry 18-year-old central midfielder Agoztar Gorstiaga was invited to tour Zhevassi's club facilities before, during, and after the TQCC match, without his club's permission! Apparently he was also offered a lavish steak dinner by Zhevassi officials as well!!!

For all we know, the Galacticos offered him prostitutes! Whatever they used to tempt him, it worked. Gorstiaga has joined Zhevassi, and though he may not see the starting lineup for a few years, someday he's sure to fill in nicely in the spot next to the Aguazuleña superstar Claudio Albornos. But was it worth the price?!?!

Iturributa United are (probably) really "upset" about the "matter," as they should be. Though their press secretary declined to comment before making a dismissive remark that sounded slightly like "he wasn't getting much playing time here anyway," the Astograthian champions' silence is surely indicative of one thing and one thing alone: pure rage!!! We at Pazhujebi Sport speculate that legal intervention could be just days away!!!

Over in the club Globe Cup, Juvapanam supporters will find themselves in sour moods after two Group G losses to the Pocoan side Valengren Kickers (who educated readers will know share owners with Juvapanam's archrival Urajbina) have put them out! This is ever more heartbreaking as the Invincibles should have gone through! They had only faced talented but mediocre opposition in 1896 Ebor and Zamba Torpedoes.

When Kickers turned up in the Garden City, naive and well-meaning looks on their faces, they surely didn't expect the wall of abuse that was unleashed by the sky and silver army at the Sampa Gumbada Stidiyama. And though they won the match, leading to Juvapanam's eventual elimination, Valengren's players are likely still trying to recover from the coin-sized bruises the home fans inflicted upon them!

If anyone is happy about the result, it's AUGECC, the Cafundelense group that received nothing but bad news from Pazhujebu this last season, with their new acquisition Urajbina registering an astonishingly crappy seventh-place finish. The victory of one asset over the hated enemies of another asset is likely to sell a few green shirts in a city that normally wears yellow, red, and blue.

TakilQuip Champions’ Cup 33: The number of teams allowed is determined according to league coefficients, with the following distribution:

• Associations ranked 1–3 (Cafundéu, Valanora, and Jasĭyun) are allowed to enter four teams.
• Associations ranked 4–6 (Capitalizt SLANI, Ad’ihan, and Estresse Intenso) are allowed to enter three teams.
• Associations ranked 7–30 (Aguazul, Valladares, Zarbli, Sorthern Northland, Krytenia, Pasarga, Queer Poco el Mono Ara, West Zirconia, The Babbage Islands, Liventia, Kagdazka and Pazhujebu, Whirl Islands, Osarius, Starblaydia, Tarrentum, Mytannion, Sarzonia, Unitopolis, Delaclava, Erathore, Eastfield Lodge, and Virabia), excluding those that are third-ranked associations from multiassociational leagues (Jesselton and Association francophone), are allowed to enter two teams.

The deadline for entry to TakilQuip Champions’ Cup 33 and AalborgPettersen Series B Champions’ Cup 30 is very tentatively set for Sunday, 2011-07-31. The deadline will be confirmed or altered closer to that date.

A strong finish in last year’s season has got many people wondering; is this the Wanderers year? People have been asking that same question for many years, but it could finally happen this year. Construction of the Rangers new Stadium, Vanie Stadium, is also already underway, and it is planned to seat 105,000 fans. The Rangers look dangerous this season, every team will be wary and likely no team will be spared of their wrath.

Most of the land in the countries was pillaged, and many cities were brought to the ground, but luckily for the Herseld Nationals, the Amani love soccer. They kept the National Stadium and didn’t really change the teams list, although they did add some players. Despite all this happening, Herseld will look for a strong season, and maybe a top six spot.

It was a very interesting season in all divisions, particularly the First Division. Thaplace City Tigers ended up winning the league, to the surprise of fans and critics alike. It came down to the final game in the end, with second placed Cape Renko beating Denzio 4-1 in the last match to take the lead in the league, and TCT needed a victory over Kenworth to win the league, and Kenworth needed a win to avoid relegation. In a nervous game with plenty of mistakes, Kenworth were up 1-0 at half time and until the 70th minute, when Machiavelli of TCT scored two in a row to put TCT ahead, and TCT went on to score another goal to win 3-1, with massive celebrations erupting at the final whistle. The pitch was used as a party ground for hours afterwards, with many fans flocking on to Kenworths home ground George I Convention Centre. Thaplace City Tigers had a brilliant year, shining the whole way through and showing that their threat of getting back into the top four was no fluke. They proved all their critics wrong with their attacking style and brilliant leadership by Captain Machiavelli, who was the player of the season in the official vote. In future seasons the award will be named after him. Cape Renko finished in second, coming very close to winning the league, but narrowly missing out once again. Their heartache was obvious at the Kenworth vs. TCT game, which the whole team attended. They will go into next season with fiery hearts and fierce passion, but the League has been unpredictable every year, so we will have no idea what to expect. Wanderers finished in third, with almost the exact same results as last season. They know that the title is within their grasp, but they cannot seem to find a way to win it. Eastern Rangers finished in fourth, with manager William Vanie giving the team a public blast at the end of the season. He said he expected more of them, but the team did play well. With players such as David Smith, Unijuno, Andrew Lelsh and Benedict Gopengir, they always had the good players, but not always the team chemistry. The team’s captain David Smith is leaving the team after only one season, going to play overseas once again. The Rangers will look for a new star midfielder, but Lelsh or Simonelli Deranoi Meralda could step up to the job. The Hillmen finished in a surprising and disappointing fifth, unable to play good football conistently throughout the year. The loss of many of their star players has finally seemed to affect them, and they will need to pull themselves together for next season. Thaplace City United finsihed in sixth, the description of an average season. The fans have expressed their anger at not gaining any progress over the past few seasons, and the coaching staff will be under the pump over the next few seasons. Herseld Nationals finished 7th for the second year in a row, and had a relatively succesful year. The competition is mainly a place for them to sharpen their skills for the future in national games. Denzio picked themselves off the bottom of the table to finish 8th, finally earning their spot in the Premier League. Although they scored a low amount of goals, their players performed well year round and got results when they were neede to keep them just inside the mid table. Gonesville managed a slightly off form 9th place, with a regular season without much excitement. Denborough managed 10th in their first season back in the Premier League, and seemed under pressure to win sometimes during the season, but have earned their spot in the Premier League. Brenton Athletic scraped 11th, escaping relegation thanks to an inspirational win by TCT in the last round. Kenworth were relegated in an extreemyl disappointing season, but will hope they can overcome big teams in the Second Division, namely Nochinville and Retuka Town, and come back to the Premier League.

In the second division it also came down to the last round, with Gonesville Knights managin an intense draw with bottom of the table Zenton to win the league by 1 point, and join rival Gonesville Eels in the Premier League. Their main rivals Nochinville and Retuka Town just missed out once again, and it is hard to see anyone but Kenworth challenging them next year.

The Third Division was unsurprisingly won by the Applecross Jets, who in the end won quite comfortably by four points. The two teams from Bailey, Bailey District and Bailey State FC, finished second and third respectively while Quendo United rounded out the top four. Zenton will probably win the league next year, but they will be challenged by Bailey District and Bailey State FC.

The ST Cup is still to follow the season, and for the first time the winner of the cup will win a place in the Globe Cup. Every team will want that reward, along with the prize money, and will go in to the Cup planning to win.

[Valladares]

Trofeo del Príncipe First Edition

The Trofeo del Príncipe (Spanish for Prince's Trophy) is an invitational friendly tournament to be organized by the Valladar Football Association after the end of every VI Super Cup and every UICA cycle, as a warming-up competition for the upcoming UICA cycle and the respective domestic seasons. For the first edition, the VFA invited the champions from seven nations to compete for a shiny crystal trophy and P$ 750,000. Initially, the VFA considered the option to invite the TQCC, GC and SBCC champions to the competition, but they decided to stick with the simple eight-team format for this edition as inviting the champions of the main UICA competitions would only make things messier regarding the format of the competition.

Invitees, Format and Draw

The eight champions of Valladares, Whirl Islands, Cotdelapoms, Erathore, Virabia, Sorthern Northland, Polar Islandstates and Astograth competed in this very first edition of the Trofeo del Príncipe, and were split into two groups of four teams each, with two of them as "seeded teams", and the rest as "unseeded teams", making four "seeded" teams and four "unseeded" teams.

With two groups of four, the VFA made sure Tannenberg FC, as host, and its special invitee, Whirl-Islander champion Navel FC, were drawn in different groups, leaving Corcaigh and FC Mildrid as the only seeded teams to be drawn during the group draw. Furthermore, the Cotdelapomais champion was drawn in Group A and the Virabi representative in Group B. This was done by order of the tournament organizing committee.

Venues

Eight venues were selected by the VFA for the competition. By order of the organizing committee, Tannenberg FC played all their group stage games at their home stadium, White Meadow Arena, in Carloburgo. The other venues for Group A games were:

Tout-Puissant Outremont's request to the organizing committee of playing all their home games in the Foix region (venue to Group B games) was rejected.

Group B games were played at two stadia: the Stade Jules Picot, in Bezieres and the Stade de la Frontière, in Fontvielle.

Both semifinals were played at the Estádio Estadual Armando Bozelli, in Campo Grande, while the Third Place Play-Off match and the Final were both played at the Alexander I National Stadium in Metropolis.

Group Stage

The group standings were determined by: points, goal difference, head-to-head result, goals scored and a coin toss, in order. The winner and runner-up of each group advanced to the semifinals, while the other two teams in each group were eliminated from the competition.

GROUP A:

Polarians (who shocked everybody by finishing in first place) and Citizens showed their credentials in this group and the competition. Jan Mayen Islanders defeated both seeded teams in their group, with a win against the hosts at their own stadium included. Their Rushmori neighbours were the only team the Polarians were unable to beat in their group, but that was not enough to strip them from the first place. TFC did against Tout-Puissant Outremont and Corcaigh what they were unable to do against Jan Mayen, and qualified in second place. Per-Olivier Johansson-Bakvis and Outremont were unable to shock Tannenberg this time and were knocked out with a single win against the Sorthern champions, who didn't respond to the expectations and returned home without a single point.

GROUP B:

Navel FC dominated a group where there was an interesting Rushmore aroma all over the place. Erathis, Astograthians and Virabis were unable to stop their western neighbors, who easily crowned themselves as winners of the group. However, Mildrid, Iturributa and Abbotsford fought until the end for the last spot in the semi-finals, with the Astograthian champions celebrating after a three-way tie and a better goal difference gave them the ticket to Campo Grande. FC Mildrid, with Simeone di Bradini on board, were the main disappointment and return home as do the Virabi representatives, who only needed two matches to show their manifest weakness.

SEMI-FINALS:

The semi-finals were both thrilling and full of drama. In the first one, a rivalry was renewed at a new level as the Polarian and Astograthian champions faced each other, not in another Ides of March, but in the Trofeo del Príncipe. This semi-final, full of hatred, blood and of course drama, had to be defined in a penalty shootout, with victory for Jan Mayen.

Meanwhile, the hosts faced their special invitee, in another close match in which Tannenberg could finally find the victory in a goal in extratime. So, ladies and gentlemen, we will have a Tannenberg seeking for revenge after their loss during the group stage against the Polarians, and two decent Rushmori sides facing each other for the bronze medal.

Congratulations to Jan Mayen Islanders from the Polar Islandstates, who won the first Trofeo del Príncipe and take home the shiny crystal trophy and P$ 750,000 along with their gold medals. Tannenberg FC, despite their disappointing loss in the final, earned P$ 500,000 with their silver medals, and third-placed Navel FC leave Valladares with P$ 250,000 and the bronze medals. On the other hand, Iturributa United go home with a decent fourth place, and P$ 100,000 despite they didn't get any medals. The other four teams that competed earned P$ 50,000 each.

The BRFA are delighted to announce their second season of results, including their qualifiers for the next round of UICA and Rushmori competitions.

Bleak Rock has a history of four competing noble families, Hús Hreindýr of the Caribou, Hús Hrafninn of the Raven, Hvítabjörninn Hús, of the Bear, and Hús Náhvalur of the Narwhal. With heraldry and rivalries amongst them, and a complicated alliance and enemy history that reaches back hundreds of years, these four Hús used to despise each other, and fought for supremacy on the island. Those days are gone now, but the island is still roughly divide into four quarters, and teams in the league very definitely fly the flag for a particular Hús.

FFB Premier League Season 42

The 42nd season of the FFB Premier League showed what a difference one player can make.

In the case of new premiership club Cardston FC, that player was 19-year-old goalkeeper Tommy Redmond. Playing for a club that barely averaged one goal per match, Redmond simply did better, yielding a remarkable 0.88 goals per match en route to personal Rookie of the Year honours and a second-place finish.

For Zarahemla All-Sport, it was again star midfielder Claire van de Graaf. But this year it was all downhill, as she played only six matches before a torn ACL sent her to the sidelines and her club into a downward spiral. The two-time defending champions finished ninth.

Meanwhile, Bloomfield National squeezed past upstarts Cardston on the next-to-last week of the season and held on for their fourth Premier League championship. They backed it up in UICA action with a round-of-32 performance in the Globe Cup, moving to the #131 spot in the world rankings.

Red Devils FC midfielder Sophia Valentine narrowly prevailed in the MVP ballot over Redmond and Bloomfield National keeper Jerome Patterson. Red Devils manager Kathleen Kirkpatrick also took honours for her side as Manager of the Year, and despite his departure for Sorthern Northland Dover City's Glen Svoboda played enough matches to capture top scorer honours in a last hurrah.

Much attention was focused on the bottom of the Premier League ladder. Four clubs would be sent packing, not to return for three seasons as realignment takes hold. The unlucky clubs were North Fork FC, West Scoville Athletic, UMFK, and Gernsback United. On the other hand, Great Falls Cymru and Wye Celtic picked the right time to surge, finishing atop the final season of the Championship Series and securing a spot in the top circuit for at least three seasons.

Islands Cup XXXI

With the move to regional leagues coming in season 43, clubs in the lowest two series had no promotions to play for. A transitional format for Islands Cup XXXI was thus announced, with only the top four clubs in each league qualifying for a streamlined Cup. All pairings were randomly drawn and neutral grounds were assigned for every match.

Second Series club AC Santa Catalina made the most of their opportunity, stunning Premier League champions Bloomfield National in the opening round and following up with scalps from runners-up Cardston FC and fourth-place Belgium FC on the way to a most unlikely Islands Cup win.

FFB Realignment

Beginning with next season, Season 43, the 72 professional football clubs of FFB are realigned into the FFB Premier League of 16 clubs and four regional leagues of 14 clubs each. The regional leagues are roughly divided by islands, with FFB management charged with moving clubs to adjacent regions as needed to square up the leagues.

The objectives are to stabilise the leagues so rivalries can take better hold and to reduce expenses for clubs below the top flight. Thus, promotion and relegation occur only once every three seasons. The first such moves under the new scheme will occur after season 45.

FFB Premier League Relegations: Three clubs will be relegated each cycle. Any club finishing in the bottom two twice or thrice in the cycle is relegated. Clubs that finish in the relegation zone once are compared based on total points over three seasons, with the worst performer(s) relegated to fill the slots. Assignment of clubs to regional leagues will be made by FFB management.

FFB Regional Leagues Promotions: Three clubs will be promoted each cycle. Any club winning its league championship more than once will promote. Clubs that win one championship are compared based on total points over three seasons, with the best performer(s) promoted to fill the slots.

Management will announce provisions for a playoff in ambiguous cases.

The Future of the Islands Cup

From Season 43 on, the Cup will feature 16 teams playing a single-elimination cup after the shorter regular season. The top eight teams in the FFB Premier League standing will be joined by the champion of each regional league and the winner of a single-elimination league cup in each league. All matches will be on neutral grounds, save only that the finals site will not be changed due to the advancing teams.

Saugeais Football Association Season 2

The SFA was gone through some major changes, namely the names of the leagues and re-alignment, going into this season. The main football league, the Premiere League, has been re-branded League 1 with its feeder league, previously named Frontier League, changed to League 2. The number of teams in each league has changed as well, moving from an 8 / 14 system to an even 11 / 11 system. The top three teams from League 2 will be promoted to League 1, and the bottom three teams from League 1 will be relegated into League 2.

[Polar Islandstates]

ALL-STAR CHARITY MATCH

The FPIFA is delighted to announce the commencement of a new initiative in the Federation, the All-Star Charity Match. In the absence of a Charity Shield-type event between the league winners and the cup winners, there will be a new curtain raiser for the Federation League season. The best players from the season prior* will be invited to form two teams, the Greens, and the Blues, to play each other in a 30-minutes-each way charity football match with an intended light hearted and amiable atmosphere at the Nasjonale Stadion.

*For nations that have transferred players to their leagues from me, where those players would also play in the All-Star match they are only counted as taking part for this match. Any transfers made are not affected by the presence of outgoing players in these teams.

The chosen charity for this inaugural match is the cancer support network of Sankt-Elena, whose fine work goes to support sufferers of the disease across the nation.

So congratulations to the Greens, who sealed the first win in the All-Star series, a confident performance from Echardi and McAllister at the back being the key to their success, which included a tap in for Berghoff, a fine strike from range from Bosc, and a header from Mackenzie.
