Maybe it's just me, but I feel that nominating yourself for a commendation makes said proposal automatically worthy of being in this thread. (please note that this is no way meant to lambast the Mad Sheep Railgun proposal. It may have been silly, and it was almost certainly illegal, but boy was it ever funny)

I was talking about the condemned, not about the proposer. Since those problem like spam and flame on regional board are moderator problems, the resolution was illegal.

Sorry, I didn't realize you were a moderator -- much less someone with the unilateral authority to overturn five years' worth of moderator rulings on the subject. Posting what you consider to be illegal proposals here is not of much benefit to the player who is trying to draft his proposal. If s/he has started a draft thread here, it sort of suggests s/he wants to act on feedback to improve the proposal and iron out any illegalities. "Reporting" the proposal here does not help that process at all. Nor does "forking" discussions already taking place in other topics.

Of course, that's just my opinion as a layman, and not a mod. Try to defy an actual WA mod on this and you will probably be slapped much harder.

Description: Communism is, in the eyes of most, something to be frowned upon. Why? People want to be free! I propose that any nation or region who shows signs of communism, signs of agreeing with communism, or signs that give the idea that they agree with past acts of extreme communism, or Tyranny (such as swastica's) be, in this order:

1) Warned

2) If a stern warning does not work, the region removed from nationstates. Or in the case of a region, altered.

3) Banned outright from the game.

This may seem like what is already being done, but I mean, ENFORCEMENT. There are many nations and regions on Nationstates that get away with this for months at a time before something is done. Enforce the rules to the maximum, and keep Nationstates free!

What is with people thinking that condemnations are a way to change the rules of the game?

It's because the Liberation Proposals have the magical ability to permanently remove a password from a region for as long as the Resolution is in effect. Therefore people make the short jump to the, mind you totally unfounded and somewhat diluted, conclusion that if you can change the game dynamics with the Liberation Proposals, you should be able to do similar things with the Condemn/Commend function.

Or at least that's my theory, which was created as an alternative to just labeling everyone who submits an impossible proposal as total noobs.

If you're going to convice people it's silly or illegal, you'll need just a leetle more commentary. You could start with the fact that the region doesn't have a password on it (or didn't when I checked recently), so this is a bid at pre-emptive password removal.

Which, incidentally, might be silly, depending on what tactics the proposer has in mind, but isn't currently illegal.

Their is no password imposed on the region at present. It clearly states in the WFE that you need the correct Visa to enter the region.

As an active raider since November 2005 I have no knowledge of Eagle Clan ever defending a region. Their only operation in my knowledge they have ever run was in fact a raid on a raider region that I carried out with Black Hawk troops so to get our spy cover across better.

First constant RMB spam on Unknown, then 'secret' plans to make countless pups and seed Unknown before RMB spamming, then Jakuva makes 'Unknown Sucks' in nation and region, and is deleted following several reportings, then his latest blunder of RMB and regional happenings spamming for which his main and a secondary nation are deleted. Stepping down? More like mod assisted suicide. I'd hug that mod for finally shutting him up and getting him out of my hair.
