Nuclear meltdown?

We'd send aid and help to the country foolish enough to use nuclear power.
The world is not cyclical, not eternal or immutable, but endlessly transforms itself, and never goes back, and we can assist in that transformation.

Live on, survive, for the earth gives forth wonders. It may swallow your heart, but the wonders keep on coming. You stand before them bareheaded, shriven. What is expected of you is attention.

We are almost entirely Nuclear Powered, so we have plans for preventing such a thing. If it does occur, we have evacuation plans for everyone within the danger zone, and can do what is needed from there.

Policy #1: Drop a 500 Megaton Nuclear bomb onto the area then blame it on our biggest rival then collect support to wage war against them, if this fails, then we do the following

Policy #2: Bend over grab our ankles and kiss our butts goodbye

Do nothing, if it was on the human nations then stop it but if there was one here do nothing.

Our nuclear reactors have 3 emergency systems. One in which would burry the reactor in water and sediment, if that fails the water should still work, if that fails then the emergency cooler is all it has left. If all fails then we would evacuate the area and cap, bury, and do our best to make sure there is very little remaining substances of the remaining reactor ASAP before too much radiation is released.

Edit:

Oh, someone elses meltdown?

We'd send radiation suits, iodine, and we'd help clean the reactor and bury it.

Evacuate the area and declare the place a wildlife preserve. Usually we stick these things underground in the middle of nowhere anyway, so the only people living there are the staff. Studies have shown that nuclear meltdowns are beneficial to the environment, so in the few cases this has happened, we don't consider it a huge deal.

Nuclear power plants are built in the south (low populated areas, hot deserts) so that risk to killing many is decreased. However shelters are built near towns that are close to these power plants and drills are carried out on the first Monday of every month a long with a branch of the Domestic Defense Force (Police) dedicated to aid if such a terrible thing where to happen.

The Nuclear power plants in Legital are built deep underground, very deep underground. They are built underground because if they were to meltdown, the sector could be cleared off. But not a single nuclear power plant has ever melted down in Legital because most of the population follow a career in the science track, and we have plenty of nuclear scientists to maintain and study our nuclear reactors.

We don't care about such things as we pirate our electricity from a neighbor nation with a really long extension cord. What happens in their country stays in their country.

I fail to see how anything constructed by Malgravean Scientists could malfunction. All Malgravean Nuclear Power Plants are constructed away from population centres and with multiple safety systems and fail-safes against failure. The building itself is designed to withstand record breaking natural disasters.

Our immediate response would be to change channel on the TV, as "nuclear meltdowns" are, 999'999 times out of 1'000'000, the result of bad scripts by hack writers, and enviroloon scare tactics.

We wouldn't have had any nuke plants, but when we invaded Earth we "acquired" several. Many of these use obsolete technology and are in awful locations, so we expect them to melt down at some point or other. Still, we're never ones to give up a power source, so we'll go ahead and run them until they can't be run any more.

The meltdown response plan is to send Decepticon workers or troops to clean up the pollution. Workers are preferred, but it can be hard to get a Decepticon to do a regular job - especially an unglamorous one like cleanup. If labor availability is a problem, we'll order troops to do the work.

Cargo-bots will then take the contaminated materials to a remote Earth-based sorting plant, where they'll be separated according to whether we have use for them. Since we're not bothered by radiation, any usable materials will be taken to Cybertron for recycling and processed like their unradioactive counterparts. Unusable materials will simply be dumped into space somewhere off of our normal flight paths so it doesn't get in our way, and forgotten about.

We've already moved our humans away from the dangerous nuclear plants as a matter of course, so no further evacuations should be necessary when one of them blows up or melts down.

Finally, all Decepticons involved in the clean-up will transfer their minds to new, radiation-free bodies if they have any need to get near biologicals that need to stay functional. Otherwise they'll simply return to Cybertron and go about life as usual - and enjoy the fact that if they go raiding, the defense will auto-crash just by coming near them.
No war RPs; no open RPs.

Red Tide makes sole use of Generation III+ fast-breeder reactors, which not only are inherently very safe but also produce lots of useful byproducts that can be recycled back into the fission reaction* and very little waste, so a meltdown is a theoretical impossibility.

Ion the eastern side of Lodricar, we have only two of them, both of which are updated and in the best shape one could be in. In turn s of a meltdown, we'd have the cities of Leihor and Makro evacuated.

1. Evacuate everyone closer than 32 km (20 miles) to power plant.
2. Try to cover reactor with sand, concrete etc.
3. Declare 64 km (40 mi) wide ring as "Prohibited area, entrance at one's own risk".
4. Build new plant. Every plant is important, one is destructed, new is constructed. We do this with all plants (Coal, Oil, Solar etc.)
