It has come to my attention that often 'veterans' like myself just don't have the time to commit to a ton of projects but because we're known for our work in the Security Council, we get a lot of suggestions from people for Security Council projects (e.g "You should commend Unibot!" .. "Yeah, I'll get on that!"). Also, because we've been playing the game for such a long time as a Security Councillor, we've gotten to the point where we see potential C&C nominees everywhere including our sleep, just the other day someone on the local news stopped a robbery, and my instant reaction was "hey, the World Assembly should commend that chap!". I also think that newbies in the Security Council face several problems because, (1) they usually don't know the people in NationStates very well, so they don't know who they could commend or condemn, (2) they don't get these helpful 'you should commend X or Y' telegrams that I often get. Additionally, people often have projects like commendations, condemnations and even liberation projects, and they don't know where to go to, or who to telegram.. and they don't want to draft these projects themselves so the project is forgotten.
I think for these reasons, it would be helpful to have a thread where we can circulate ideas for resolutions, sometimes I have ideas and I know I'm not going to get to the project and I want to 'pass' it on to others... projects can mean a lot more to some people than they can to others... one project that may have been a backburner project for me could become a very sought after endeavorer for another player. If you just want to use this thread as a way to mark your territory, (e.g "I'm commending Unibot, it's taken!"), you can do so, in fact if you're structuring out a schedule for yourself and planning ahead what you want to do in the SC, that could be a good thing -- however, don't expect that 'marking your territory' here is an official seal or trademark on the project. However, it is considered polite to ask for permission from others (via tg) to use their ideas, and I encourge you to do so.
To start us off, I'll pitch two ideas for the free domain that I've been kicking around for a while, "Commend International Democratic Union", a region devoted to playing the WA with liberal international federalist ideals -- its leading members include Bears Armed, Enn (historically) and Embolalia. In addition to "Commend Wysteria" and "Commend The Extremities" for issue-playing.
Though yea, I'm busy atm, so I'm putting it in free domain too. 
I wholeheartedly support this idea. I won't write it myself; it wouldn't seem right.
