" Yes, it wasn't too far from this village. Apparently transporting drugs. "

"Yes.. I heard that. That's rare in this part of the country. Apparently operating off the islands that are off the south coast doesn't attract them anymore. They must have had some problems with Marines flushing them out.."

"I guess they will have the armed forces on their tail now. It must be a bad time for criminals but here in general it's rather peaceful. The worst thing that I have seen was a tourist from the coast that got himself attacked by a tiger after leaving his car in the national park. That was bad. Although there is some guy now in the clinic in Kleindorp that accidentally got shot by the military. They mistook him for MilInt. He is lucky to be alive as they emptied a clip in him."

" Seems like the forces are getting a bit too trigger happy, but really, leaving your car open and walking out in such area ? Wasn't there any entry rules ? " asked Andrew.

"Yes.. one is not allowed to leave the car but one is allowed to drive freely in the park as long as you keep on the roads. The tourist wanted to see a tiger from up close and he found out first hand what a close encounter means. It wasn't pretty.
And when it comes to that man that got shot. There are rumours that he had a pistol hidden in his boot and that he had been previously arrested. So when they confiscated his boots and belt it went off nearly killing a soldier. So they panicked and shot him. I have heard that the soldier that shot him was the one that actually allowed his blood to be used for a transfusion."

"That was on the same day on the Revolution got underway so it is some time ago now. This isn't recent but the man is still here and he is kept under military guard but they refuse to talk about why he is kept in. Although I heard one talk about "cop killer." I do have his name though which happens to be Richard or Richards and he is supposedly from abroad."

" Yes. A few days after I came here, he pointed a RPG-7 at a Bar where we were staying at. Then, doing some business in a tunnel with some police, he ran in front of us carrying all his weapons. " answered Andrew.

"That explains when these soldiers are guarding him. He seems to have made an escape attempt a while back but they dragged him back to bed."

" Little bugger, they thought he was MilInt so they shot him, realised he wasn't, then put him in a hospital. He must be living one hell of a nightmare. "

" Indeed. That Black Market has become really quiet while we talk at that. There has also been a rise in slave sellers worldwide. "

"Would it be possible that they had something to do with MilInt violence ? There have been rumours all over the country that MilInt was heavily involved with drug and slave trade and all sorts of money laundering ?"

The doctor shook his hand and got into the car "What I can do for you is to keep you posted on what is going on in that clinic ?"

" Well, if it doesn't bother you too much, it would be excellent. Here is my number. " said Andrew.

He wrote his number down a piece of paper and passed it to him through the window of his car.

"Thank you." The doctor put the number in his pocket. "Don't worry too much about Maxime. They got there in time and as long as he takes his medicines it shouldn't take too long to heal."

He waved and drove away.

Andrew watched the car drive away, then walked back into the house.
He walked back into the room.

" He's gotta take these at meals. " he said, looking at a pack of pills.

"I'll put them in the cupboard for you." Frances said. Maxime was sitting in a chair and he was clearly not a happy bunny.
