Indeed. Radicalists pretend to be feminists, and then believe that as “payment for their suppression,” they should strip men’s rights. People like those are doing vastly more harm to women than good. Suppressing a group because the group were suppressors isn’t a good thing. Why should I be suppressed because white people used to own slaves? Why should I be suppressed because my ancestors and their government didn’t give women rights? All they’re doing is stooping. You get progress by equality, not suppressing. I strongly believe that wage gaps shouldn’t exist. It’s very sexist. I agree with the actual feminists that fight to level the playing field. Yet because of a small group of people who don’t want equality for women, but instead want superiority, they get attention and ruin how people see feminists in general.
Vonstania wrote:It’s a matter of how SOME feminists present themselves. Particularly the radical ones and the misandrists ones, which advocate for feminism in such a negative way that it would naturally have people dislike feminism. And also, it’s feminists advocating for the wrong things. Like for instance, the psychos defending Lindsay Clancy, and the hypocritical MeToo movement, which failed to maintain neutrality towards all political figures regardless of alignment. Of course, some people hate on feminism just out of misogyny, but if feminism as a movement wants to be more respected, they need to present themselves better, and deliberately remove the bad elements within the movement itself. I personally support equality between both male and female, and I do believe that the wage gap is still substantially unfair, but cmon, yall got to do better

I know this post is very short (arguably lazy, even), but I just had to get this question off my chest.
(No, this post isn’t satire)

No. It aims to denigrate men and transgender women. Just see the typical believers on Xitter.

Zoomers and a few people from other generations turning into the side of misogynist grifters at the manosphere often occurs due to encountering radfems spewing hateful falsehoods.

I know I literally just sort-of committed the sin I'm about to describe, but none of us should claim total objectivity and lack of our own media ecosystem bias. We live in a multipolar world of information where every source has a material, rhetorical or emotional stake in distorting reality. To suggest one has perfectly, flawlessly navigated that minefield is hubristic at the very least. I try by exposing it to "rival" ecosystems like the obviously leftward-of-me one here, but I'm far from perfect.

Yeah. The faults caused by the organization of most human societies under a patriarch are what caused a lot of feminist movements to rise up in the first place. Feminism was initially seen as a positive force. It is due to it being one of those factors on last century great liberation. However, branches of it had been twisted into something bad which kinda contradicted what it wanted to achieve in the first place. This is just like national liberation movements or the cliques formed by families of national founders turning into corrupt dominant parties in several countries.

Patriarchy imposes obligations on men (to be providers) and women (to take care of the home). The fight against the obligations on women has been relatively successful (although there is still a ways to go because of the lingering sentiments of patriarchy), but the fight against the obligations on men has utterly failed. We are in some sort of weird limbo where men still face many of the expectations of patriarchy while reaping none of its benefits. This is untenable. Any feminist politics concerned with combatting patriarchy would recognize this, the unfortunate problem is that many feminists currently don't (and bringing up men's concerns is seen as anti-feminist).

Like when there is a group of New Yorkers coming together to watch Heated Rivalry, and the only gay guy is excluded for being a man? The show is about gay guys. How is a gay guy not welcome to join a gender-non-specific group watching a show about gay guys?
