The Treaty of Dusk and Dawn

The East and West Pacifics have been through a lot. We’ve been friends, enemies, and everything in-between. Over the last year or so, though, we’ve come to realize that there is far more that unites us than divides us. As we’ve come back on speaking terms and since restored embassies, new information has come to light that the basis for those divisions was misinformation by outside actors, and a fear of what would happen if TEP and TWP were on good terms.

Hence, it is our great pleasure to announce to the world that, as of October 8th, 2026, The Treaty of Dawn and Dusk - a mutual cooperation, defense, and security Agreement - was unanimously ratified by a vote of TEP’s Magisterium and has come into effect for both regions. We now celebrate the complete restoration of relations between The East and West Pacifics since their collapse in 2020, and honor the legacy of former Delegate Varanius, the continuation of this work by new Delegate Witchcraft and Sorcery AKA Logical Stimulus, and the efforts of the Confederated East Pacific government in this accomplishment. Through friendship, diplomacy, and military collaboration we have achieved an incredible possibility and eagerly anticipate what the future holds in store for our great regions.

The East and West Pacifics once again stand united in solidarity: in mutual development of our regions and the prosperity of our communities and goals, against corruption and subterfuge, and in open communication and collaboration between our governments. What a grand day to be alive in NationStates history!

To The West Pacific and The East Pacific: GLORY BE! May the Delegate never die, may the Confederated States live on forever!

No, you are correct. It was intentionally left there because much of the treaty was drafted while Vara was still delegate.
