The remaining two candidates below will face off against each other for the next month. In the Final, there will be more campaign ads and political promises, but additional features will show up, including the Campaign Train, endorsements by Crossoverians, and the overall final debate.

Since the 1970s, Weasel has developed a domestic reputation of being a selfless “do-gooder”. In the late 1990s, he starred in a reality TV show which gained him international fame. Weasel had previously campaigned for President as an independent candidate in 1991, 1996, 2001, and 2006. He’s an advocate for smaller government, prioritizing diplomacy, and national reforms. Polls are up where you can vote for your favorite candidate. Everyone is allowed one vote like in the Primaries. The results will be published on November 9th; the winner will be announced on that date and inaugurated by the Supreme Leader on January 9, 2027.

Krona Party Convention, Crossoveripolis, 4 October 2026

Members of the Krona Party celebrated as their party reached the final round. Two months ago, such an achievement for this party would have been unheard of due to low confidence. But it seems like Soraya Alizai Telayeb has captivated the hearts of many within the Crossoverian establishment and the human minority, so much so that she won both the primary and secondary rounds. Could the Krona Party retake control of the Presidency?

“My fellow Crossoverians,” Ms. Alizai Telayeb said as she started her final convention speech. “I just want to say thank you so much for your dedication and support to my campaign. When I first announced my run, many in this country thought I wouldn’t make it out of the primary round, that I would be too conservative and reactionary for the people’s liking. Well, what do you know, now I’m here. Either the party knew what it was doing or the other candidates were just too weak. I am committed to bringing back traditional Crossoverian values, restoring proper order, and standing up to those who seek to defy us. We will reverse the radical leftist policies of Kipper Woofler and the Islamist fundamentalist policies of Al Meskin. We will bring back the good old days of Marie BonAztire, an era of order, prosperity, simultaneous tradition and progress, defiance, and greatness. I know y’all miss that era. I do too.”

“The Krona Party is the way and the source for Crossoveria’s prosperity. We have guided Crossoveria’s light for the past 45 years. We’ve been plunged into darkness for the past five years, and we shall not take it any longer. It’s time to bathe this country in light once more. It’s time we vote to do so.”

Weasel had been in a similar position as Soraya, though it was more longterm. After not getting more than 5% of votes in the four previous times, there were those who expected a situation similar to this in 2026. But changes in electoralism, Weasel’s politics, and the buffonery of the other candidates as exemplified in the primary debate skyrocketed him into a position no one could have forsought. Now, he faces his biggest hurdle yet: the conservative establishment. Could he overcome them?

“Dear Crossoverians, thank you all for being here after all this time,” he started his speech with. “Because of you all, we are now stronger than ever, more powerful than ever, and more united than ever, and that is something absolutely commendable. My commitments to you all have not changed one bit. I am still dedicated to ending the repression of anthropomorphic animals. I am still dedicated to eliminating AAA and other laws like that. I am still dedicated to reversing censorship in this country. I am still dedicated to using our military for its true purpose. And I am still dedicated to making this country better, to moving it forward, and to improve the lives of its 90 million citizens. The question is: are you? Remember, your ballot is the most important tool you have in building this new house of freedom. You must use it come November, for your people and for your country.”

“I would like to ask you all a very simple question. What do you think is most important for a country: freedom or security? In my view, it is security. Why? Well, have you ever thought about why you are able to walk the streets at night safely? Have you ever witnessed or been a victim of a serious crime? Have you ever asked yourself why this country got this safe?”

“Today, Crossoveria is one of the safest and most prosperous countries on the planet. Petty crime is rare and violent crime is almost nonexistent in this country. We didn’t achieve this through a popular referendum. We didn’t do this because a bunch of chronically online folks were saying rude things to us for our handling of crime. We built harsh prisons, implemented severe penalties, and employed capital punishment for criminals. We made it clear to everyone that we are not to be messed with and that this is not a safe place to be a delinquent. And it has worked. Really well. In fact, it’s one of the major reasons this country has remained intact 72 years after the glorious revolution. It’s one of the main reasons why you are able to have this much safety. If you ask me, this is worth maintaining.”

“Now, I recognize that there are outsiders, people who do not know Crossoveria or its citizens, who denounce the way we handle crime in this country. They say it is ‘too oppressive’ and that our actions contradict global norms. I would like for these people to put themselves in the shoes of Crossoverians. When you are positioned geographically in a region that your superiors have destabilized and incited regime change, and sought to do the same thing to you, would you not go to extra lengths to protect your people? Would you not have zero-tolerance policies towards troublemakers in your country as well? Just think for a moment. What do you think will really happen if we let all these poor criminals go? Crime is going to explode. It’s simple cause and effect, and it is something these so-called experts do not seem to understand.”

“Our law and order system is not malfunctioning, nor is it underperforming or being corrupted. There is no need or excuse to fix what is not broken, and doing so will do just that. The results speak for themselves. This is a system that works very well for us, and you will not pressure us into prioritizing your beloved free speech over keeping our people safe, because we will continue to prioritize the security of our people over that, and we must do so. As your President, I will make sure that you are safe and secure above all else. If you want to be as well, I mean, the choice come November is pretty obvious. Glory to Crossoveria!”

Post Speech Q&A Session (Alizai Telayeb Campaign Train 2026)

PRESS: Ms. Alizai Telayeb, you’ve mentioned several times that you intend to bring Crossoveria back to the days of Marie BonAztire. Why exactly do you intend to do this?

ALIZAI TELAYEB: Because it was a long era of stability, law, and order, an era where people respected authority, anthros knew their place, and women were uplifted. It was the essentially closest thing to a utopia for this country. Plus, BonAztire was a tough, strong woman who stood up to the imperialists.

PRESS: What do you say to the people who believe restoring that era will harm our democracy?

ALIZAI TELAYEB: Did we not have democracy under BonAztire? Need I remind you that BonAztire was the one who brought democracy to Crossoveria. She’s the reason why I, and all the other candidates who ran in this election and the previous ones, were able to run for President.

PRESS: The elections under BonAztire were alleged to have been rigged for your party, with credible evidence backing this up.

ALIZAI TELAYEB: Foreign agencies like to make things up a lot, and this is no exception. They fabricate evidence to smear the legitimacy of Crossoveria’s elections. The truth is elections under BonAztire were free and fair, and the Krona Party has always been popular.

PRESS: What about Drake Osila?

ALIZAI TELAYEB: Well, I think 5 years ago was an exception to that. I mean, it was the first time parties which many in this country have never heard of were running in elections. It’s only natural to experiment with that. Plus, I don’t think Mr. Osila had a proper hook. Krona essentially got screwed over by this, but we’ve since adapted.

PRESS: I see. Regarding your stance on anthro rights, why have you been speaking about them this way when they make up over ¾ of the population?

ALIZAI TELAYEB: Do you think I hate anthros? If I did and if I campaigned on that, I wouldn’t have made it to the second round, let alone the final.

PRESS: Even if that wasn’t your intention, do you see how that specific rhetoric you’ve been employing on them could turn a lot of people off?

ALIZAI TELAYEB: Again, if that was the case, I wouldn’t be here having this interview with you.

PRESS: Just answer the question.

ALIZAI TELAYEB: I did. I never suggested anthros should be repressed. All I’ve been advocating for is for rules to be properly enforced on them, just like they were under Marie BonAztire.

PRESS: Interesting how you bring this up, considering BonAztire’s regime is often considered the “absolute nadir” for anthro rights and that the anthros surveyed overwhelmingly have an extremely negative opinion on Marie BonAztire. What do you have to say about this?

ALIZAI TELAYEB: What is a nadir? Also, that survey must have been fabricated, just like these fake election allegations. Anthros are absolutely not against BonAztire.

PRESS: Have you talked to any anthros yourself?

ALIZAI TELAYEB: Uhhh… well, I have colleagues and workers in my campaign that have and what they’ve reported back to me is that they miss the BonAztire era and they appreciate and respect the Appropriate Anthro Appearance laws. I take their word for it. I trust that Crossoverians, regardless of whether they are human or anthro, will agree with this sentiment.

Weasel’s speech on educational reform (Weasel Campaign Train 2026)

“Education is one of the greatest blessings that can be bestowed upon a person, and it has incredibly positive consequences for the trajectory of a country. Crossoveria is no exception. Ever since Kais Al Abidine Baldemore introduced free education after the revolution, our country has benefited greatly. Our students have become some of the most educated, literate, and eloquent in the world. Our schools have produced geniuses, math olympiads, and intellectuals. Our universities have provided some of the most rigorous and rewarding programs the world has ever seen. This is undoubtedly something our country has been, and must forever be, proud of. With that said, our education system has major, inexcusable issues, issues that must be resolved.”

“The most obvious one is the promotion of creationism. Based on the current national curriculum, students are to be taught that it is God that created humans and that Adam and Eve were the first humans on this earth. Full stop. No mention of the scientifically recognized theory of evolution. Nothing about Charles Darwin. Not even a ‘here’s how some people think humans came to be’, or a recognition of it as an alternative perspective. And the curriculum seems to omit key discoveries that further prove this theory, such as Lucy and Jane Goodall’s chimpanzee work.”

“This is not something that the government just so happened to fail to consider. This was established to not only intentionally mislead the Crossoverian people but to also maintain a repressive hierarchy and justify Appropriate Anthro Appearance. If they admit that humans are animals, which is biologically backed up, that means that the policy will be imposed on humans or eliminated altogether. It is obvious the government doesn’t want to do either of that. And on top of keeping anthros down, this being taught in schools makes no sense. Given the religious demographics of our people being nearly 50/50 split between Muslim and Hefflist, and given these religions have different Gods and perspectives about how we got here, teaching that ‘it was God that created humans’ is insufficient.”

“It is obvious now that we cannot keep telling our students claims which not only have zero scientific backing but have also been used to justify the repression of over ¾ of Crossoveria. That is why, as President, I am going to have the curriculum changed to focus on truth and backed by evidence rather than trying to maintain Appropriate Anthro Appearance. Teachers will teach about evolution, Charles Darwin, Lucy, and Goodall’s chimpanzee research, among other things, in place of creationism. If religious schools still want to teach it, they can, but in public, secular schools, creationism no longer has a place. Doing this will not only improve our good education system, but will also further proliferate scientific pursuit and research in our country. The benefits are going to greatly outweigh the costs for our country, so why not do it? Glory to Crossoveria.”

Post Speech Q&A Session (Weasel Campaign Train 2026)

PRESS: Mr. Weasel, you’ve mentioned that you would fill your cabinet and issue appointments to those with experience and competence. Why is that?

WEASEL: I believe I’ve made it clear in my Hot Take on Al Enqalabistan, but I can rephrase. Those with political experience are significantly more likely to make decisions that would create the best outcomes for the country, especially in the long run. Plus, we’ve seen what has happened with the opposite scenario.

PRESS: Right. What are your political qualifications?

WEASEL: Well, besides the four times I ran for President, I developed a scale ranking measuring the amount of political freedom across the globe. I also penned multiple small-N comparative articles in some of the most credible academic journals in the country.

PRESS: That’s not what I’m getting at. I mean like… have you ever held office?

WEASEL: As in, have I been in the Crossoverian Law House as a governor or representative? No, I haven’t. I was not able to in the first place.

PRESS: Why do you feel that way? The Constitutional criteria for being President is absolutely clear.

WEASEL: Well, I’ve read the Constitution multiple times, and it says “political, military, or religious” experience would be required. It does not list specific roles a person would need to be in. In regards to the military experience, given conscription is universal in Crossoveria, anybody could technically run for President, including you. In regards to my past failures, it would consider seeing the anthro perspective. We have faced incredible structural and political barriers that have prevented us from making any meaningful change in politics, and been barred from running or holding political office. It is functionally discriminatory.

PRESS: So you want to have this policy eliminated? I thought you were for mandatory experience.

WEASEL: I do not want to eliminate the requirement. If anything, I think the Constitution should be amended to properly define experience. But we have to recognize that, for the past few decades, anthros have been unable to get involved in politics because of systemic barriers.

PRESS: Then how are you going to get anthros in your cabinet? You’re just going to perpetuate this.

WEASEL: Not quite. I’m obviously not going to get a 100% anthro cabinet, but given how many anthros are now in the Crossoverian Law House or in national departments, it is possible, actually.

PRESS: So you will put both humans and anthros in your cabinet?

WEASEL: I will put qualified individuals in my cabinet, yes. It doesn’t matter whether they are a human or an anthro. The only thing that matters to me is if they have the experience and the knowledge needed to head the department and if they will be competent at their job.

PRESS: Let’s move on. Weasel, given your short height and the fact that you are a weasel, the potential of you being elected president has sparked concerns about the seriousness of the country.

WEASEL: I am aware of this, and I’m sure the rest of the country is as well given the attack ads pointed this out. But we also had a politician running in this race that looked like a regular politician but employed contemporary youth slang throughout the televised debate.

PRESS: Why bring up Skibiditze?

WEASEL: I am just pointing out that our perceptions of what is considered conventional for a politician should never override the actual competency or policies of said politicians. Rather than determine who would look the part, we need to vote for who would do it. If a small weasel can do it, there should be no reason as to why he shouldn’t get the job.

HOSSEINI: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. My name is Mahmood Hosseini, and you are watching the debate of the final round of the Crossoverian Presidential Election here in SabreAhr University in Zootropolis. In just a few moments, Representative Soraya Alizai Telayeb of the Krona Party and independent candidate I. M. Weasel will go head to head as they battle for the office of the President. Tonight’s debate is a town hall format. Here with us are 10 undecided voters who will ask questions directly to the candidates. They are all from the area and were chosen randomly by the Crossoverian Election Committee. All of them came with questions they wanted to ask, and they’ve been kept secret until now. Same rules as the last election apply here. Each candidate gets 3 minutes maximum for any question they are asked. Any official rebuttals any candidate would like to make gets a maximum of two minutes. And now, with all that said, ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Soraya Alizai Telayeb and I. M. Weasel. Ms. Alizai Telayeb, Mr. Weasel, thank you so much for being here. We’re just going to jump straight into questions. The first one comes from Jawva Ustralyehi, an anthropomorphic kangaroo who is a Zriphola player and sports star. Jawva?

JAWVA: Thank you. This question is for Soraya Alizai Telayeb. Given your tenure as the mayor of this city, and given your desire to return Crossoveria to the BonAztire era, many anthros, including myself, feel uncomfortable supporting your campaign for President. Why should I, as an anthro, support you even after everything you’ve said about and done to us?

ALIZAI TELAYEB: Thank you for this question. I would like to start off by saying it has been an honor to serve as the mayor of this city and serving you. I understand the concerns posed here. I do not deny that my mayorship of Zootropolis was a very firm one. But if my governance of a city involved active opposition towards anthropomorphic animals, I wouldn’t have been the mayor of this city. Where over 95% of the population are anthro? Hello? I would’ve been the mayor of say, Haryamat. In all seriousness, though, here’s some things to consider. Think of this race like a job application. I have my resume here. Weasel has his. You’re part of the hiring committee. Who would you pick? Would you pick someone with no experience or extensive experience? See, the Presidency is just like that. Because this is such an important office, it would only be right to pick the one who has that experience. Aside from being the mayor of this city, which in itself is pretty great, I’ve been a representative in the Crossoverian Law House for four years now from Choosio, and before all of that, I was in the police force. I have spent all my life serving the Crossoverian people, including you. That, I believe, should be enough to earn my vote.

HOSSEINI: Any thoughts, Mr. Weasel?

WEASEL: Experience managing a system isn’t the same as knowing what is right for it. And I find this job application analogy to be quite interesting for several reasons. For starters, I can come up with my own. Let’s say Candidate A, the one with “experience”, also has an extensive history of corruption, fraud, and discriminatory behavior, and Candidate B, the “inexperienced” one, has none of that. What are we picking? Experience and competence are absolutely important, and I intend to enforce this, but so is how you treat the anthros in your country. Given they outnumber humans, there should be no reason why any serious candidate would run on restoring the absolute nadir for them. Number two, that wasn’t really Mr. Jawva’s question. The question was “Why should anthros trust someone who spent years keeping them subjugated and treating them like an underclass?” You responded with “I at least held offices, unlike this weasel next to me.” If that’s the best you can offer, people have a right to be wary, especially with how you’ve treated them in the past.
