✶Stadium and National Information✶

National Information
The Karmic Republic of Edsmontik is located on the very Northeastern tip of Karma, bordering the East Karman Ocean. It is home to approximately 200 million people, which mostly live in the densely populated cities of Touve, Woodhill, Yaneu, and more. The Edsmon population is diverse, full of people from every corner of Karma and other regions around the multiverse. People commonly come to the nation to witness the ice-cold winters in Skejiver and Northeviige-Tretovikenhanz, the beautiful beaches of the coastal cities, and the massive sports events that range from stock car racing to football/soccer and handball.

Being so far north, the summers are mild temperatures, barely going past 60 degrees Fahrenheit in the warmest areas. Winters can be freezing, especially up in Skejiver and N.T., with temperatures dropping as low as -7 degrees Fahrenheit. Sports have had a long history in the nation, beginning as far back as the early 1700s when Vdes, Lunsfjall, and Taya-Trosi were planning to unify. Sports boomed during this time, with people looking for ways to entertain themselves. And eventually, when Edsmontik was formed, the nations combined their sports into leagues and competitions.

Map of Edsmontik: How to Get There
Getting to Edsmontik is pretty easy. There are many airlines that offer flights to Kalse, Woodhill, Touve, and other major cities. The most notable of those airlines are Far Eastern Airlines (Mainly referred to as just FEA), which mainly serves ultra-long haul routes, Edsmon Air, which serves a mix of long and short haul, and Clevr, which serves domestic, with a few flights to places a little outside Edsmon borders.

Since Edsmontik will only use one stadium for qualifiers (Located in Touve), it is recommended to an FEA flight to the following hubs: Kalse Bay International, Woodhill International, or Austranviige International and take a Clevr flight to Touve or take the Touvic rail to the Suberarenae if coming into Austranviige, OR take an Edsmon Air flight direct. It is to note that a direct Edsmon Air flight into Touve will be much more costly as Touve International is not a very large airport, and is almost completely surrounded by city. Unless you are coming in from Karma, please do not take an FEA direct to Touve. Those are even more expensive tickets than Edsmon Air.

Below is a map of Edsmontik, which you may use to view major Edsmon cities. Additionally, view the Touvic Rail Systemfor transit across Touve and Austranviige. (Please note it is a little outdated)

The Touve Suberarenae Stadium
Image

Image created using ChatGPT*
A lot of people wonder why the Touve Suberarenae is plural. Well, in Vdesic, making something plural can also be an emphasis. Because the Touve Suberarenae seats 100,870 people, making it Edsmontik's largest stadium, the name was made plural to emphasize that. Even before it was renovated, when it had 25,000 seats, it was still named the Suberarenae because it was simply Edsmontik's largest stadium. The Suberarenae's renovation just a few years ago gives the stadium a new sleek design that is sure to catch the eyes of many who pass by it on the way to Touve.

The National Aphrilian Football Association, led by Clark Thompson, are hereby proud to present...
Image
The Aphrilian National Team for the 102nd World Cup
Representing The Kingdom of Aphrilia
The Aphrilian team are also known as The Anchors

Honours: Champions of IAC 24, World Cup 99 & 100 Quarterfinalists, World Cup 101 Round of 16
Record: 115 Wins - 18 Draws - 53 Losses, 301 Goals For - 169 Goals Against

THE STAFF
MANAGER: Leonardo Bianchi, Crpostranian
Already considered a legend in Aphrilian and Crpostranian minds, Leonardo Bianchi has found much more success ever since he joined The Anchors post-World Cup 98 Qualifying. A perfect IAC run to claim the championship in his first tournament, as well as transforming The Anchors into the footballing powerhouse it is today by reforming their tactics and his own.
ASSISTANT MANAGER: Joseph Alan, Aphrilian
He has been here since the very moment Aphrilias National Team was founded. A key-man in every Aphrilian squad, for he is the voice of discussion when it comes to the teams tactics. Served as a temporary interim near the end of qualifying for World Cup 98, steering the team into some form of stability. A more passive, but still noticeable presence.
TRAINER: Amelia Haze, Aphrilian
Former player for The Anchors, part of the IAC 24 title-winning squad. A slowing body foretold her early retirement, yet forcing herself to play caused Haze to collapse during the group stage against Chromatika during WC101. Knows the ins-and-outs of training oneself, having taken great care of her physicality before fate intervened.
PHYSIO: Josh Brandway, Aphrilian
He is there, he knows what to do, and he'll do his job as asked.

THE TYPICAL STARTERS
#1 -GK- Kyra Von Kachel — Age 31 — Aphrilian — Human
The starting goalkeeper for The Anchors, and remains so despite the sudden call-up for a new back-up keeper. Kachel has grown to be a certified shot-stopper who is also a strong penalty killer. Though she tends to struggle with the ball at her feet, Kachel holds strong mental fortitude that gets her through many situations throughout a match.

#26 -LB- Alexander Burns — Age 28 — Aphrilian — Ohia-Wolfin
He isn't exactly the absolute best in his position, but is the most generalist out of the teams three left back options. Cheerful and relaxed, Burns avoids trouble whenever he is on or off the field. Do not expect him to be booked often, he is one of the cleanest defenders that The Anchors have to offer. A fine performer all the time.

#18 -CB- Victor Andreas-Torres — Age 22 — Aphrilian/Garridian — Kariaha
Strong and imposing with a dash of speed, is a rough defender who uses his physicality to maintain dominance. Described to be a "modern" destroyer in comparison to Christonson.

#4 -CB- Silvie Grace-Holtzer — Age 20 — Aphrilian — Human
The youngest addition to the team. First college player to be called up, and is the direct successor to Amelia Haze. Expect Grace-Holtzer to play the same way her predecessor did, by using her brain as her greatest asset. Strong calculations and reads, great physicality, and incredible level of play compared to Haze, who was only average all around.

#20 -RB- Calico Knacke — Age 29 — Aphrilian/Brunstadtian — Human
A sweeper who is great at defending. Offloads the ball forward or to the midfield whenever possible, but isn't exactly the most independent player. Follows team strategy perfectly.

#25 -DM- Ardan McKernell — Age 34 — Aphrilian/Atlanian — Human
A very technical player for someone of his position. McKernell performs well under pressure and can break himself free of whoever marks him, even if there are multiple players marking him down. His dribbling is considered to be equal to that of any forward that has flair. He also has a habit of giving his opposition "the splits" whenever he can.

#7 -CM- Jessica Rhine-Faust — Age 28 — Aphrilian — Ohia-Nekori
Captain of the team, considered a jack-of-all-trades player. She can do many things but doesn't particularly excel at anything except captaincy. The team has her respect, the staff have her respect, the fans have her respect. Drive the ball forward, score goals from outside the box, provide through passes, Rhine-Faust can do all that in a pinch.

#14 -CM- Mike Aston — Age 39 — Aphrilian — Human
Whenever Mike Aston starts, from this point onward, he won't often be substituted out of the game. Brother of Natasha Aston, he has incredible stamina and resilience. Strong as an ox.

#9 -AM- Edward Elliot — Age 44 — Aphrilian — Human
One of the Day One players for The Anchors. Edward Elliot has been class ever since he first got called up. Great at finding passing lanes and taking advantage of them, he has eyes on the entire field and will use them to his advantage. He also loves finding and creating open spaces for him or his team to use them. A constant, credible threat in every game.

#12 -CF- Theresa Villa — Age 27 — Aphrilian — Teñvana
An fantastic finisher who completes scoring opportunities once she gets the ball. Said to bring misfortune to those trying to defend against her regardless of their form.

#11 -CF- Ines Forrestal — Age 41 — Aphrilian — Ohia-Foxian
The diva of this national team, and has been involved with everything since the beginning. She has one signature trick: Go wide with the ball, cut inside to embarrass your right back, strike a curved shot, and score. She can do more than that, usually offloading the ball to midfield or crossing it in if needs be, but you know her. You know exactly what will come.

THE SUBSTITUTES
#21 -GK- Erick Keikain — Age 22 — Aphrilian/Sangonomiyan — Ohia-Grassaut
Proven to be a diamond in the rough, a player with boundless potential. His jumping and flexibility are considered second to none compared to other Aphrilian keepers.

#5 -LB- Erica Gillingham — Age 30 — Aphrilian — Human
Gillingham is the sort of player who will put in 110% effort when she plays. She has quite the passion for the game despite the lack of any presence on the team compared to others.

#17 -LB- Lucia Strauss — Age 23 — Aphrilian — Ohia-Shepre
Similar to Grace-Holtzer and Haze in that she uses her smarts to defend. And for better or worse, has the habit of drifting inside even if the opposing team has no players that go wide.

#3 -CB- Steven O'Truffet — Age 33 — Aphrilian — Human
Steven O'Truffet will adapt to whoever his partner is in every partnership. He maintains the backline well and will put in the work regardless of which team The Anchors play against.

#19 -CB- Kennedy Christonson — Age 33 — Aphrilian — Human
A player that many describe to be of the classic "destroyer" archetype. May be a bit of a defensive bully, thus he tends to pick up more fouls and bookings than the rest of the teams defensive line. However, Christonson has grown to be great at zonal and man-to-man defending, marking certain threats well. Can shut down offenses when required.

#29 -CB- Candid Anker — Age 23 — Aphrilian/Brunstadtian — Human
Is reported to be a ball-playing center back who is well-rounded and is considered to be proficient with both feet. Not physically dominant, but is spiritually indomnitable.

#24 -RB- Aguri Hosokawa — Age 33 — Aphrilian/Sangonomiyan — Ohia-Chevalune
The least defensive oriented fullback within the entire team, thus suffers defensively, but in exchange is also the most forward-going. Can drive up the ball on her side of the field with great control and blistering speed, the latter a blessing that all chevalune receive. Is able to beat her mark and provide crossing opportunities from her side of the field with ease.

#2 -RB- Ellie Saunders — Age 26 — Aphrilian — Human
Slower than Hosokawa, but more defensively sound and can also cross. Saunders is often playful when it comes to her defending, luring opposition players into a false sense of safety.

#16 -DM- Natasha Aston — Age 36 — Aphrilian — Human
Sister of Mike Aston, she is consistent in her form and has the ability to cover any possible weaknesses for The Anchors. Slots well in any starting line-up as either starter or substitute.

#6 -DM- Charles Arthur-Morgan — Age 28 — Aphrilian — Human
Good on the defense and is able to mark anyone man-to-man quite well. An overall solid player if not for the fact that he can be quite slow at driving the ball forward when it's at his feet and is often slow reacting towards the tempo switch ordered by The Anchor. Though in exchange, he is good at providing long through balls.

#8 -CM- Maya Gridley-Evra — Age 22 — Aphrilian — Ohia-Wolfin
The fastest player on the team besides Hosokawa, Gridley-Evra is clinical in everything she does. Passing, dribbling, everything really. However, she is often considered to be "too fast for her own good," which tires her out faster compared to the rest of the team. She also holds a bit of impatience within her, so she may move too fast or force the team to do so.

#15 -CM- Vicante Algrave-Scalese — Age 21 — Aphrilian/Garridian — Ohia-Owlite
Plays for the team adaptively in ways that benefit everyone as a whole. He fits into any role given to him well, and can do anything asked of him provided he is given support for it.

#22 -CM- Brent Wallace — Age 41 — Aphrilian — Human
There is nothing extraordinary about Brent Wallace except for his longevity. He never gets injured during campaigns for The Anchors, and will put up solid performances with a great one here or there on the occasion. Considered to be the sort of player that is able to "stabilize" the team whenever they are behind against opposition.

#13 -AM- Hannah Morgan-Keynes — Age 27 — Aphrilian — Human
Is much more aggressive on the tempo and offense compared to Elliot, but does have better ball control. Morgan-Keynes holds a diluted temper, but she can still flare it up whenever she deems it to be necessary. Is one of the few that are willing to directly question the orders of The Anchor, team captain, or even manager if only for the sake of the teams success.

#27 -AM- Zachary Maximillian — Age 23 — Aphrilian — Human
An all-rounded player, great in everything and can do anything an attacking midfielder is expected to do. Primarily serves as a supporter to allow central midfielders and forwards to shine, but is able to captivate others and create moments whenever necessary. Much needed addition to not overload Elliot and Morgan-Keynes.

#23 -CF- Kevin Lacey — Age 32 — Aphrilian — Human
A workhorse of a player. Lacey will hunt down every opportunity and chance with relentless pace and endurance. Whenever Aphrilia needs a goal from grit, he is the man for the job.

#10 -CF- Hendrick Meyer-Bertrand — Age 24 — Aphrilian/Brunstadtian — Human
Successor to Aphrilian legend Nathaniel Rosberg, even though he doesn't exactly fit 1-to-1 to how he played. Hendrick Meyer-Bertrand is more of an all-rounder similar to Lacey without his amount of tenacity and grit. However, he does have a kick as mean as Rosberg and is quite good at taking set pieces, ranging from free kicks to penalties to corners.

#28 -CF- Adelaide Swan — Age 22 — Aphrilian — Ohia-Swanna
Quite the showboat and considered to be very "flashy" in comparison to Aphrilian standards, but has the talent to back it up. Despite that, she lets her talent on the field do all the talking for her, which allows Swan to not garner any trouble from the media. Can be called upon as a leader for the offense when required, though prefers not to lead.

THE REST
TEAM TACTICS
Image
Aphrilia's 4-1-2-1-2 / 4-4-2D as of IAC26

Leonardo Bianchi always has The Anchors play a 4 - 4 - 2 Diamond formation, and Aphrilia follows his newfound strategic theory known as Neo-Bianchism.

The Anchors play by controlling their own speed of play, not allowing themselves to be baited into their opponents tempo. For every named starting line-up, one midfielder is selected at random to become the Anchor, the designated player that conducts and controls how fast Aphrilia play. It is assumed every midfielder for the team is knowledgeable on how to conduct as the Anchor. There are seven different tempos that the team uses (Two notes of slow defensive play, two notes of fast offensive play, and three different tempos for standard speed of play). Players are allowed to break from the compact formation and the tempo that the Anchor has set if it results in a better position for Aphrilia. The average speed of play for The Anchors is still relatively slower than offensive oriented teams, but it has well increased.

The Anchors have no set strategy for the offense, though they generally go on the offense after regaining lost possession. Each forward has a different trick to scoring goals, while the midfielders tend to be fine doing it in whatever way is most convenient. When it comes to driving the ball up the field, Aphrilia do not stick to a single route. Sometimes the fullbacks may move forward with it, maybe one of the midfielders regain possession and the tempo is immediately increased, or perhaps the keeper kicks it deep into the oppositions half of the field. Every player on the attack is a potential threat that shouldn't be discounted at any moment. The Anchors have now also been trained to take every opportunity they can find in order to put the ball into the back of the enemy teams net, even if it diverges from their style of play.

When it comes to how this team plays defense, it has only evolved. Historically, Aphrilia used a high-press when it came to defending, but when manager Leonardo Bianchi took charge, his Bianchism theory was known for its usage of the offside trap. Thus, Aphrilia integrated a new way of playing defense. When the ball is in the opposition half, the backline moves up for a high-press while man-marking the truly offensive threats that could break through. This is usually done against faster, counterattacking teams similar to Aphrilia. When the enemy team relies on possession and passing play, The Anchors use zonal marking while also integrating the offside trap to catch sudden offenses off-guard. Move too fast and The Anchors will respond immediately, move too slow and they can soak up pressure throughout the entire game.

FAN CULTURE
Aphrilians can be described as patriotic whenever supporting their national team, while still being respectful towards the opposition. Most of the time.

In the teams home ground, the Millennium Dawn Stadium, Aphrilian ultras will be chanting and cheering on for The Anchors from the beginning until the end. The people of Aphrilia will support its team and believe in them even if the match seems impossible. And with the stadium designed in a way that gives The Anchors and the home crowd an advantage (Plain away team dressing room, thinner walls, minimum refreshments, among other things), the away team should prepare for intense pressure. Within the stand that is designated for ultras, expect the displaying of tifos, waving of flags, and the lighting of flares. However, they will remain respectful to the away team and the fans that travelled all the way to Darlingtown to see their team play. Alcohol is banned from Aphrilian stadiums in a continuous effort to keep hooliganism at bay, and security is heightened for visiting teams as well as spectators. The home crowd is quite friendly to visitors, so expect harmony and kinship before and after the match. This attitude is shared by those who travel to away games, continuing to be respectful of the host nation while also proudly supporting The Anchors.

Most of the time, that is. When Aphrilian supporters do become rowdy, they can often cause quite the commotion. Aforementioned commotion usually includes public disturbance, vandalizing, damage to public and private property, among other acts. Fortunately, it has rarely ever been any worse than that. Overall, the fanbase is calm enough that these occurrences are a rarity in and of itself. In most cases, where Aphrilians have reserved spots before and after matches, they socialize not only amongst their own, but also people from the home nation. This behavior is also commonly seen during home games as well. One thing to note is that on away days, the amount of supporters that come fluctuate depending on if there are travel restrictions to the host nation along with other factors. Generally, Aphrilian fans like having fun with one another before and after matches by singing songs, playing games with one another, and enjoying the festivities of what should hopefully be an exciting game of football.

HOME VENUE
Aphrilia's Anchors play their home matches at the Millennium Dawn Stadium. Located in the country's largest city, Darlingtown, the venue is home to the Darlingtown Rovers who play in the Premiership Aphrilia and has also acted as one of the many host stadiums for the 25th edition of the Independent Association Championships.

Atheara's 5-2-3 depicted as of World Cup 101

Atheara plays in a system that was created during the 93rd Cup of Harmony. Die Blaue Garde line-up in a 5-2-3 formation with wingbacks, two midfielders, and a three-man frontline. The aim is to soak up as much offensive pressure from the opposition by maintaining defensive superiority with the back five. It ensures that Die Blaue Garde have a numerical advantage against most teams. The forward wingers will often drop deep into the midfield, transforming Athearas line-up into a 5-4-1 in order to further strengthen their defense or to ensure midfield superiority to ease up pressure on the back five if they are unable to hold. This guarantees Die Blaue Gardes defense stays solid.

On the offense, the wingbacks will move forward into the midfield, transforming Athearas formation into a 3-4-3. The now back three stays high, typically man marking key threats. To ensure the team doesn't get caught off guard on the counterattack, the aim for Die Blaue Garde is to hold possession with the transformed midfield four, eyeing for key weaknesses in the opposition backline before striking. In the scenario that the enemy team is able to find a situation where they can overwhelm the back three, the wingbacks will not move as high, staying close enough to the middle half of the field to run back in case Atheara are overwhelmed or get surprised on the counter. Depending on the situation, they may stay wide to support the two wingers, or drift inward to support the two midfielders from becoming outnumbered.

The Blue Guard will play it's home matches in Azura Memorial Stadium, located within what is known as "The Floating City" of Orphinia, the capital of The Second Republic. It is named after Rally Point Azura, a rally point for the survivors of the disaster than had destroyed the First Republic. And just like with the First Republic, transportation is extremely accessible and it is easy to get to the stadium for locals and foreigners alike. Built to host more than just football matches (As it is a multipurpose stadium capable of hosting other sports that partake on grass), Azura Memorial has a stadium capacity of 52.600 people. Not as large as the stadiums that Atheara had been previously known for, but the facilities located within the stadium are just as advanced, if not even more so compared to the old stadiums.

The Blue Guard wears the kits that were once prepared for them back in the era of The First Republic*.

Coming off of whatever that IAC 26 was, a middle-of-the-road WCQ 101, and a fantastic bronze in COH 93, the squad, strengthened by a few strengthened reinforcements that hope that they can become the push to push the playing squad into the playoffs, is ready to be ready for anything at anything and anything that is thrown and sent and thrown their way.

Keepers
1 GK Milovan Hranislav #01 | Caps: 47 (0) | Goals: 0 | Assists: 3 | The old, veteran keeper of the squad. Captain since the return of the nation. Fans are fearing his imminent retirement.
2 GK Rafal Helge #17 | Caps: 0 (0) | Goals: 0 | Assists: 0 | Replacing Rafael. The new backup keeper. Nothing special. Middle of his career, but any semi-good goalie could probably take his spot.
3 GK Vid Dirtwizard #99 | Caps: 1 (1) | Goals: 0 | Assists: 0 | The third, young goalie. If he develops, may become Hranislav's replacement once the time comes.

Defenders
1 CB Iwo Carloza #03 | Caps: 44 (1) | Goals: 0 | Assists: 1 | The aggressive defender. Has the most yellow cards of the entire team (4). Most likely to get another one or a red.
2 CB Kamil Damjan #05 | Caps: 44 (1) | Goals: 0 | Assists: 1 | Usually isn't in the spotlight due to the antics of the other half of the main defensive pairing (see above), but is the more important one in defence.
3 CB Mitar Simon #04 | Caps: 6 (8) | Goals: 0 | Assists: 0 | Backup CB, has slowly become more important in recent times.
4 CB Robertus Ante #86 | Caps: 6 (8) | Goals: 0 | Assists: 0 | The other half of the backup CB pairing. Same as Simon.
5 LB Stan Abdelkader #12 | Caps: 35 (2) | Goals: 0 | Assists: 0 | The steadfast leftback. Works to defend the wings.
6 LB Josh O'Connel #14 | Caps: 15 (2) | Goals: 0 | Assists: 0 | The backup LB, has been getting more gametime as a result of Silivia taking more chances in the back from Simmage's performance.
7 RB Marjan Anatoliv #20 | Caps: 35 (2) | Goals: 0 | Assists: 1 | Has sometimes been written as "Anatoliy". Oops. Has a powerful left kick and this is used on right corners.
8 RB Eddie Simmage #93 | Caps: 14 (2) | Goals: 0 | Assists: 0 | Came as a replacement for Chryses, immediately burst on to take quite a few caps.

Midfielders
1 CM Zackary Gil #06 | Caps: 36 (2) | Goals: 1 | Assists: 2 | Pretty mediocre. For now it is enough, but may soon go.
2 CM Otto Camilo #91 | Caps: 34 (2) | Goals: 1 | Assists: 2 | Had a safe spot before, but with Shah here he has to fight Gil for space on the sheet.
3 CM Hitesh Shah #02 | Caps: 14 (3) | Goals: 6 | Assists: 3 | Despite being relatively new, he has already made an impact on the team form with more than 2 G/A a match.
4 DM Steffe Inget #07 | Caps: 42 (3) | Goals: 0 | Assists: 2 | Pretty experienced player. For this federation, DM's are there to defend, so G/A is a bad way to see his impact.
5 DM Stephan Sarri #85 | Caps: 0 (0) | Goals: 0 | Assists: 0 | Replacing Govind, who had too little impact. Here's hope that he is the next Shah.
6 LM Joel Hardin #08 | Caps: 11 (3) | Goals: 0 | Assists: 1 | Sometimes fights with CM's for spots, sometimes is used as a LW in place for Jacques, like Nord is used on the other side.
7 RM Sind Nord #22 | Caps: 3 (4) | Goals: 2 | Assists: 0 | Outfield player with the least experience. Him coming on is a surprise for the opponents, hence his two goals.

Attackers
1 S Richard Seppel #09 | Caps: 42 (4) | Goals: 12 | Assists: 2 | The highest scorer of the current squad. Only 6 behind the all-time record (Antoon, 18).
2 CF Aapo Kauko#68 | Caps: 8 (4) | Goals: 10 | Assists: 1 | The most efficient scorer of the current squad. Probably because he is so unknown and opponents don't scout him before the match.
3 LW Erberte Jacques #15 | Caps: 48 (1) | Goals: 11 | Assists: 3 | Silent workhorse. Most experienced player, tied best total G/A. Often forgotten by fans and when watching. Name often misspelled as "Jaques".
4 RW Plamen Seppo #33 | Caps: 43 (4) | Goals: 8 | Assists: 0 | The first place right-winger. Name often confused with either Seppel or Sepp (assistant trainer)
5 RW Oliver Jean-Marie #98 | Caps: 0 (0) | Goals: 0 | Assists: 0 | Replacing Friedhelm-Rodolf. What is it with the right wingers having so many dashes?

Total Capacity: 10.077

Pitch Size: 105x68m

The main home ground of the national team. It was originally a horse racing venue, before an old club called "Oldbridge" used the middle of the racing track as a football pitch. Eventually, the venue ownership merged around to form the "Equestrian Sports Club", which wanted to move farther from the city to have more space to expand. The government bought the land, built a stadium on it, and now we are here. Night games are rare owing to the fact that the government forgot to install floodlights.

The Saperetian Ministry of Culture decided to improve the international standing of the Saperetian nation by competing in a multitude of events. This included Worldvision 89, the World Cup of Hockey 47, and the World Cup (football), which at that point was about to enter its 93rd cycle. The SFF (Saperetian Football Federation) was set up under dual control of the Ministries of Culture and Sport, which promptly signed up for the Qualifiers and the 80th edition of the Baptism of Fire. The team, managed by Jos Mouthenio, would go off and win their first game 2-0, then go 5 for 6 in wins in the unbeaten streak before losing the final two games to come 2nd in the group. The team would fall to an overtime goal in the round of 16. In the following qualifiers, the team did not too well, as is expected of a debuting team. It was enough to get an invitation to the following Cup of Harmony (85), where the team finished 4th out of 6 in the group stage.

The SFF would then take a break from international events until returning for the centennial edition of the world cup, entering the tournament this time unranked, as the BoF opportunity was used. Led by current manager Silivia, the fresh team went on to lose their first 5 games with a 5-17 goal difference before turning stuff around and going 10-3 on goals in the final 11 games, leading to those qualifiers being only 1 point worse than the previous ones, despite 6 games less played. It would again earn a ticket to the CoH, where an 0-2-2 record saw the team go 5th, dead last in the group. The team then headed off to make its debut in the Independent Associations Championship, where a surprise group win saw the team continue on to the RO32 where one goal was enough to end the run. In the following 101st qualifiers, the team went 2-0-5 in the first 7 games before getting 3 draws, 3 wins, and 3 draws to go half the qualifiers unbeaten before losing the final two games and going 3 points off the playoffs. That following CoH saw another group win on coinflip after 2 wins and 1 draw. The knockouts saw shenanigans and the only loss in the extra time of the semi-final, getting bronze for the team. The following IAC, 26, saw a 1-1-1 record be turned into another 1 goal loss in the Ro32.

Swovacjaaspeal Aamathyrit
National Football Team of Aamathyr

The demonym for people from Aamathyr is Thyr, with plural Thyrom. Thyrom are generally referred to by their first name, with last name [not patronym] used to distinguish the two. The literal translation of Cjariila dwa Mioryt Ispymfare, for example, is Cjarilla, child [daughter] of Mioryt, from the town of Ispymfa. Here is a great example from Katzeburg of what to do. Here is an example of what not to do.

In terms of pronunciation, gj and cj are like Hungarian gy and ty, respectively, while nj is like the Spanish ñ, and rr and r are distinguished from one another as they are in Spanish. O and u are generally a bit further forward in the mouth than you would think - the u is more like the vowel in goose than boot, and the o isn't too far off from the e in French je, just a bit further back. J is almost always as in German, /j/. If a vowel is repeated it means it's long (e.g. the oo in Rravoonre is as the ó in Hungarian, not as the oo in English), while if a consonant is repeated it is in two separate syllables - the rest is as English.

There isn't really a nickname for the team - they are generally referred to as the Swovacjaaspeal, lit. 'team [of] football', roughly "swuh-va-TYAAS-pay-all" or "swo-va-CHYAAS-pay-all".
The manager of the Swovacjaaspeal is Cjariila dwa Mioryt Ispymfare.
The trigram used by Aamathyr is THY.
The current year in Aamathyr is 1977. OOCly, time passes when I write things that cause the passage of time, so people spend several weeks playing football somewhere else and maybe a couple days passed.
The Thyrom play in blue with white trim, or in white with green and blue trim (two layers of stripes on the edges rather than one). Their third kit is green with white trim, but they rarely if ever play in that. The keeper plays in red, or in yellow if there's a clash.
Thyr culture traditionally has three genders. More on that later. Those who are neither traditionally male or female are marked with an X.
The Swovacjaaspeal play at King's Park, Nanwacj, cap. 1,000 and standing room, just outside the industrializing capital city. Conditions are usually between 5 and 15 degrees Celsius and cloudy, foggy, or rainy. For the match against Loyo, the Swovacjaaspeal will play at Olaati Green, Olaati, cap. it's a field, home to 1977 League of Aamathyr champions Olaati. It will be muddy, sunny, and somewhere between 10 and 20 degrees Celsius.
The Thyrom generally play defensively, preferring to lose 1-0 rather than 4-3. The style modifier is -4.5.
The formation utilized by Aamathyr is a 5-3-2. Assume that the earlier a name is listed under its category, the more likely it is to start.
Typical starting XI: Satrin / Tithrilan, Arjor, Thontyen, Tyrrprun, Swamtiip / Sutwa, Lifiva, Pytzhish / Shovot, Rumat

Players in blue play domestic football abroad. Players not in blue don't.

Goalkeepers
Satrin dwa Tyzhma Lerregjore - 36 - X
Vwavol dwa Puurvyon Sapshrure - 23 - F

What Satrin lacks in agility and speed compared to Vwavol they more than make up for in experience and skill. They aren't going to save a well-placed shot, but as long as you don't put it in the top corner, you'll find it hard to score. The one issue is that they are often left out to dry by their defenders, who do everything they can to prevent a shot from getting off but once one is going to happen basically give up. Vwavol has been just a bit too inconsistent in Tikariot to earn the starting spot, though she has improved over the recent period as her Mountaineers reach new heights, and besides, international experience during qualifying has quite helped Satrin.

Defenders
Arjor dwa Sitvamp Nwatwishre - 31 - M
Tyrrprun dwa Shjantra Cjshengjotre - 35 - M
Thontyen dwa Nadziid Aammirture - 32 - X
Tithrilan dwa Smodcja Rravoonre - 29 - F
Swamtiip dwa Pytzhish Luumintre - 26 - X
Lovon dwa Ustwyf Ncjonsasre - 23 - X
Omiusma dwa Rifirr Nanwacjre - 30 - X
Divrrjo dwa Shulla Nanwacjre - 21 - M
Sindam dwa Ponietem Nwatwishre - 28 - F
Vyduat dwa Fimushthe Luumintre - 26 - M
Enwar dwa Ooshlov Sjordatre - 20 - X

Arjor, Tyrrprun, and Thontyen have made up the central three of the Thyr defense for years, and thus their communication is the best this team has to offer, while Tithrilan and Swamtiip are newer additions on the left and right respectively. Arjor certainly has the most skill of any Thyr defender, but his aggression does lead to him getting carded relatively often. Swamtiip is seen as a potential future captain, but that's a long way away. Enwar and Divrrjo got their first call-ups for the BoF, they've both seen play off the bench, and Divrrjo especially is seen as a potential future starter - indeed, he's now in Bohr for domestic football. Of the substitutes, Lovon and Divrrjo are generally more of a wing-back type, with the speed of a young player, and the rest tend to be more stolidly defensive. Defense often sees a lot of substitutions, with the wing-backs quite often tired out from running up and down the pitch - Tithrilan was this team's third-top scorer last cycle while also needing to be a left back at times - and the centrebacks all quite old. At the IAC it was pace that was once again an issue, though overall the defensive unit held their own.

Midfielders
Lifiva dwa Otyva Aammirture - 21 - F
Sutwa dwa Pardshyl Thivire - 28 - M
Nyturr dwa Shyzhytmir Nanwacjre - 24 - M
Pytzhish dwa Vishysh Fjanjapre - 27 - X
Njammoos dwa Zhurrvyl Mwenttshatre - 30 - X
Fysuzu dwa Platvon Lerregjore - 22 - F

Is Lifiva the next big thing in Thyr football? Probably not, but she was certainly good enough to maintain her spot on the team after the IAC, got plenty of goals during qualifying last time around, and now she's heading off to the Squornshelan Remnant States to play football. Sutwa and Pytzhish are both good defensive midfielders, but on a team where there's already five defenders, Cjarilla is trying to be more successful in the counterattack, and has brought in the more traditional central midfielder Nyturr, which was a decent but not amazing choice in Edsmontik. Fysuzu has been brought in to provide some more youth to a midfield that's already relatively youthful, although she seems like more of an impact sub based on her position in the depth chart. Njammoos was critical against Choppyhausen in the IAC, so some are surprised at their continued position as second substitute, but Cjarilla seems to like what she has and not want to change it. Really depends on how qualifying goes, given that this time they are aiming for a playoff spot instead of just hoping for one.

Forwards
Shovot dwa Syyrrno Aamtulire (captain) - 36 - M
Rumat dwa Alyte Olaatire - 27 - M
Piulshu dwa Lumodgja Usthiare - 22 - F
Zhefeth dwa Padiar Sunthyrire - 28 - X

Shovot, the offensive anchor of this team, with an accent nearly as strong as that of Njammoos (and you know what those Tarrlon accents are like) acts as a finisher - if he gets the ball in the box, he's likely to score, but that's far easier said than done. Creating chances, after all, was the biggest problem for this side at the IAC in HUElavia, and it wasn't much better in Edsmontik. He performed excellently during WC101 qualification, although pace was a bit of an issue. Rumat is usually the one who feeds him the ball, the man from Olaati who led his side to become champions of all Aamathyr known for outspeeding defenders up the right side of the pitch, and the ball-feeding seemed to work quite well, but getting the ball to Rumat wasn't always the easiest. Shovot takes penalties if he's able.

RP Permissions: Do whatever you think is within the realm of being a decent person. Aamathyr hardly if ever will be used to RP about football in terms of the match played.
a small & quiet mountainous nation on an island not really convenient to anywhere important

GRACIOUS STATE OF KANZLIA ROSTER

OFFICIAL TEAM ROSTER
WC102

MEMBER ASSOCIATION: Voetbal Vereniging Kanzlia (VVK)
NICKNAME: Prowlers
REGION: Esportiva
TRIGRAMME: KNZ

MODIFIER: +2.8

Kanzlia, formally recognised as Gracious Kanzlian State, is an island ceremonial kingdom on the far north of Esportiva. The country is divided into 10 provinces. Its main island, Kalta, consists of nearly 85% of the country's population whilst the smaller islands of Serentia and the Kureii islands makes up the rest. The seat of power in Kanzlia is Szbedansk, which just so happens to house the largest port. It’s followed by the cities of Kotr, Mistralis, and Ibsia.

Kanzlia is known to most Esportivans as that country that builds every ship floating (slight exaggeration) and for its eel-eating inhabitants. Other than that the country is well known for its maritime history, ecosystem, and the cold.

The Kanzlian Football Association (Also known as Voetbal Vereniging Kanzlia) was founded in 1900 but Kanzlian Football, in its current pyramid, was only finalised in the 1990s. Prior to this, a double league system was utilised. Anyhow, football is by far the most popular sport in Kanzlia with stadiums jam-packed full in every match of the season. Kanzlia with its history of hardships and prolonged periods of misery has resulted in a deep connection between the sport and Kanzlian society. The culture of the sport is one of fiery passion but also with a noticeable aspect of humbleness. A pundit said that Kanzlians are the sorest of losers during the 90 minutes, but once the game ends they switch back to normal often with an optimistic mood regardless of the result.

Q u i c k F a c t s
-⚠- Kanzlia play their home games in the -Stadia Szbedansk- which can seat -53,280- spectators
-⚠- The Prowlers made it to the Round of 16 in the previous World Cup (101)
-⚠- The Prowlers finished third in the most recent Campionato Esportiva (43), failing to achieve a regional threepeat.
-⚠- Alcohol is pretty expensive in Kanzlia, drinking is a bit taboo
-⚠- Seafood forms the basis of Kanzlian cuisine, so careful if anyone has a fish allergy

Formation
The Novikovské Národné Futbalové Mužstvo generally uses a 3-5-2 formation, with an emphasis on solid defensive play and midfield control, positioning left and right wing-backs relatively far to the rear. Manager Stanislava Hruška is known for favoring the 3-5-2 formation, and often will start an AM rather than DM and have the WBs play more forward in matches where she expects more opportunities for attack. In dire situations, she is known to transition to a 4-5-1 formation for added defensive strength. The team has also practiced extensively with 3-4-3 formations, and 4-4-2 diamond formations, with the latter being a historic favorite within Novikovian domestic and international football.

Stadium:
Velká Noviková Stadion, although not the largest football stadium in Novikov, is widely considered the most beautiful in the country - not to mention the most modern. The stadium was designed specifically for the 51st World Cup, but construction was delayed and it was not completed until halfway through the qualifying phase of that Cup. Novikovians living in and around the capitol soon fell in love with the new landmark and the stadium is now one of the most used in the country - having hosted concerts, lacrosse competitions, and military drills as well as national and international football matches. This popularity led to the stadium being named the Novikovian National Team's home field, and from now on they will play all home matches on its turf. The stadium is built to comfortably house 73.400, including 1.400 in luxurious box seats.

HISTORY

Chromatika first entered the World Cup in Cycle 73, going a modest 3-2-7. They made the Cup of Harmony in Cycle 74, and qualified for the first time in Cycle 75, losing in the Round of Sixteen. Chromatika would have their most successful campaign in World Cup 76, making it to the 3rd place Playoff before finishing in fourth place, despite the domestic upheaval in the country. Their first Manager, Franscesca Larriet-Cortes, was martyred at the end of World Cup 75; the political stresses of the job made it so that Lisa Amos, the team's Manager after Franscesca, resigned after World Cup 76.

The team would enjoy continued success from World Cup 77 through World Cup 81, as Silian Parker helped the squad qualify for the World Cup every time, and the team even made it to the Round of Sixteen or beyond three of those times. Even when Chromatika didn't enter World Cup 82, their return to the World Cup in 83 was a success, though both World Cup 83 and 84 saw the Anomalies stymied at the Proper Group Stage - 84 being under new management in Nepharan Konrad Evans.

World Cup 85 was a disaster - the team didn't qualify and didn't even make a deep run in the Cup of Harmony, leading to the sacking of Evans and the appointment of Richard Valens of Krytenia and Tim Landers of Delaclava. The team would qualify in World Cup 86, and 87, host the World Cup in 88, and return to the Proper in 89. However, Chromatika was not making the deep runs that the nation wanted/needed, so they said goodbye to Valens and Landers and looked inward.

Sandra Sybill and Rachel Hellion, key figures during Chromatika's runs in the early days, stepped in. A loss to Nyowani Kitara meant that they were eliminated, but the team turned around and won the 82nd Cup of Harmony. The following cycle, they made it to the Playoffs, where a loss in penalties to Zeta Reka and Hügeltaldom sealed the fate of Sybil and Hellion. Lisa Amos stepped in to lead the team to a respectable Quarterfinal finish in the resulting Cup of Harmony, and Chromatika was left wondering just how far they were away from the glory days.

Lev Repin came in, promising glory - and the Anomalies grabbed it off the cuff, winning their Group to qualify ahead of Ko-oren. Put into a group with Turori, Eura, and Cassadaigua, the Anomalies lost to Turori 3-0 before recovering to win narrowly over Eura and Cassadaigua. They'd fall 1-2 to perennial powerhouses Græntfjall, but they had finally broken back through.

Then, with the World Cup returning to Chromatika, the Anomalies went on the run of a lifetime, making their way to the World Cup Final, beating Zwangzug in the process. They eventually lost the final 3-4 to Banija, but had put themselves back as the #4 team in the world and capable of contending at the biggest stage.

World Cup 94 saw the Anomalies make the Round of Sixteen before losing to Banija once again; then, they cohosted World Cup 95 with Sylestone, only to go 0-2-1 in the Group Stage and not make the Round of Sixteen. World Cup 96 saw a dominant qualifying cycle - only losing once on the final matchday to Abanhfleft - culminate with another Group Stage exit at the hands of Juvencus.

Repin and the Chromatik Football Federation decided to part ways. They then brought in Alina Khabibullina to right the ship - and she led the team straight back to the World Cup Proper. Unfortunately, despite the field being expanded to forty-eight, the Chromatiks lost in the Group Stage once again.

They finally made it to the Round of Sixteen in World Cup 99, making it through the Group Stage and the Round of Thirty-Two before bowing out to Valanora. It was a payoff for a nation that had been waiting for a long time. World Cup 100 saw them lose to Kwrpania in the Round of 32, as the age of the Fillars started nearing an end. With the team doing the same in World Cup 101 to Indusse, they bid adieu to Khabibullina, and went on to look for a new Manager.

MANAGEMENT STAFF

MG Image/ImageAMELIA Ibsdóttir | Age: 46 | Debut Cycle: 102
After a long career - taking in stops in Nephara and Sylestone - as a solid midfielder who was praised as "an oasis of calm on the ball," Amelia made her final playing stop Aardswood United, adding veteran savvy to a remarkably young ascending side whose influential manager Thomas Hooker was talked of as a future NT boss. That future came in a way nobody imagined following Flight 134, and Amelia moved into the dugout and promptly led the Aardvarks to a first ever NSL title whilst finishing second in her other four seasons in charge - three of those decided only on the final day - before briefly replacing Hooker in the NT job. A firestorm of conservative media criticism headed her way despite her proven club credentials, and after a frustrating Copa Rushmori campaign Amelia bought out the remainder of her contract to fill the Anomalies vacancy instead.

PHY ImageZoe "Z" Benne | Age 56 | Debut Cycle: 80
Once a heartthrob, Zoe Benne is married to former Chromatik superstar Erika Morningstar. Zoe has been a constant for fourteen cycles now, and has had to treat everything from sprained ankles to serious injuries after the bus sabotage last cycle. She remains a great asset.

SMC ImageShelby Arling | Age: 41 | Debut Cycle: 87
The presence of Arling as the Social Media Coordinator has become as important as ever. She is the primary communications officer for all things regarding the Senior Squad, and one of the confidants of Khabibullina. All questions go through her, and she takes away any and all distractions.

Depth Chart
Hailee SOURTOIS
Jill SWANSON
Jessika ANISTON
KIM Gyu-Ri

Hailee Sourtois is the unquestioned #1. With tremendous aerial reach, command of area, and jumping reach, Sourtois is a master of the aerial game. Possessing strong metal faculties with communication and decision-making, the Goalkeeper also has decent work rate, vision, and teamwork, along with positioning. Not the most natural of athletes, her quickness, aggression, and bravery could use some work, but decent anticipation, agility, and balance, along with high stamina make her one of the best goalkeepers. Amelia values sweeper-keepers, so expect her play to improve even further.

Jill Swanson is a model of composure and a symbol of consistency; Jessika Aniston joins her, also from the Red League level - having control over the flow of play on the pitch and in stressful situations. This rivalry is a friendly, yet fierce, one. Now in their thirties, Jill is the more athletic one, while Jessika the more cerebral one. Don't expect either of them to get too many games off of Hailee, especially given the situation behind the three of them.

Kim Gyu-Ri is a true find. Never starting at the Chromatik Collegiate Football Association, she was signed on a free contract to Zenic, and then made her way to Solgavden, where she's become one of the best keepers in the young league. Courtois is still on the radar, but given this qualifying campaign will only be twelve games long, it's worth giving a look to a different player. She has quick reflexes, excellent command of the pitch, and good mentals to stay in games when she makes mistakes.

Depth Chart
Ineke VAN DER PLAS BOUWMEESTER - Claudia LETHRBRIDGE-ANTONIO - Uemura SABURO
Jaxon LEHMANN - Samantha Han CUNNINGHAM - Hélène ATACIARA
Caro THIERS, NANA Sæsdóttir, HRÖNN Sæsdóttir

Ineke Van der Plas Bouwmeester has taken over the role by storm, pacey, has good marking skills, and good in the air. She's had a long, storied career in Tikariot, and will be the stopgap for a while, with Lehmann and Thiers threatening. Claudia Lethbridge-Antonio brings her pedigree and physical nature, loving getting her hands dirty while not getting called for the foul - she is the perfect mixture of her two parents. Uemura Saburo is now the experienced starter, with solid fundamentals and the mental edge and the rest of his game having developed to be above average.

Jaxon Lehmann is lanky, tall, and physical. Has the physical stature to be in the way, the smarts to act on it, and an aggressive instinct to harass people. Samantha Han Cunningham possesses grit and a mean tackle, also dangerous on set pieces due to her ability to position herself Hélène Ataciara provides versatility, being able to play with either foot - rounding out a capable reserve unit. that is starting to gain some experience.

Caro Thiers wasn't that great in university, but has made the most of the opportunity granted him by Mar Saraf FC giving him a chance; he still remains immovable defensively, being stocky of build. The Sæsdóttir twins - Hrönn and Nana - establish themselves onto the squad. Hrönn is more physical, while Nana more cerebral - but the twins are both great in the air, possess solid fundamentals, and are ready to prove that they belong at the international level. They can also play a back four with this group - which could be the way to move forward.

Depth Chart
Jacoliene HAUPTMEIJER - Edith FILLAR
Kandice ORIOL - Nemes MÁTYÁS
Lily SULLIVAN - Pike JUHAGEN
Marci SCHAEFER
Chromatika continues to use spectacular wingbacks - pinning their ears back and defend, or sometimes running up the field and add to the attack. Some of them are better at some aspect of that than others. Since Grayson Fillar retiring from international football, Jacoliene Hauptmeijer solidifies the starting role, with a sublime first touch and great skills as long as she isn't getting obstructed - something she's improved in, but continues to work on. Edith Fillar is the last of the Fillars on the roster. First heralded as the next coming of Megan Kelly, or the Chromatik winger who's short but can run circles around would-be defenders and take over the game due to where she is on the pitch. She may not be the quickest off the ball, but she has the relentlessness that has been present on many great Chromatik wingers. With the mindset of a drill sergeant who is definitely the strictest on herself, she has established herself to be one of the greatest wingers in Chromatik history. She's added playing man-to-man defense to her arsenal of formidable skills, as well as the ability to contribute long-range assists with deadly, precise crosses.

For the players behind these two, any of them can be used at any time - what they provide are all distinct and unique enough to be sought after. Kandice Oriol is tireless tactician who isn't the best with her feet, but is lethal with her head due to tremendous jumping reach, Nemes Mátyás is a sniper through and through who can score at any range - and as his play improves, he'll become even more dangerous. Lily Sullivan is a Sylestonean-Chromatik dual-national, a crossing merchant with a decent left foot who would rather pass than shoot, but sees the field rather clearly. Maci Schaefer is one of the latest additions, a diminutive yet fast winger with the quickness to boot, doing her best in rapid counterattacks and getting the ball to the would-be scorer instead of scoring herself. Pike Juhagen is a through-and-through speedster the likes of Edith Fillar with an endless motor.

Depth Chart
Jayla LETHBRIDGE-ANTONIO
Eden GUNDSDORF
Erica HOLGERSSON
Alija MESIC-MIZAYAKI
Mercier JANIVEN

Any formation needs at least one Defensive Midfielder, and Chromatika has the pick of the lot at the position, even after the retirement of Enigma Armageddon, Leysa Burns, Mare Si, Kateryna Zuniga, and Kaia Larriet-Cortes from the National Team. Jayla Lethbridge-Antonio with her size and creativity, has taken over - and her physicality is an added plus. She's only getting better.

Eden Gundsdorf is the best defensive midfielder prospect from the CCFA level in a while - her fundamentals are something else altogether, and she's ended up at Myana then Tihon. She'll continue competing in the years to come with Jayla, but that will be fun to watch. Erica Holgersson is an enforcer through and through who'll do whatever it takes to get the job done, even if it means getting a card. Such determination can be useful when used correctly, but a detriment otherwise - but she has time to work that out. Alija Mesic-Mizayaki settles into a veteran role. She is very good at defending, but her attacking has fallen off in her age.

Rounding out the rotation is Mercier Janiven, a more offensively minded defender with pace, creativity, and a good shot - but also possesses the tackling ability to play defense. if the Chromatiks lean toward having a central defender who can play defensive midfielder, they could be two very interchangeable pieces in the future.

This remains a lynchpin position for Chromatika.

Depth Chart
Maddie PRENN - LEE Hyun-Seol
Linnea KARJALAINEN - ÞYRILL Bjarnhéðinsson
Quentin NICHOLSON

Depending on the formation, these roles can be taken by two other Midfielders that contribute to the attack, or a Central Midfielder and an Attacking Midfielder to differentiate the roles.

The era of Prenn and Lee has arrived. Maddie Prenn is an insanely talented sniper who fires from wherever she wants to, along with knowing how to read the flow of the game, make runs, and make the key passes that are either assists or the pass that leads to that assist. Lee Hyun-Seol is the second option who is more of an attacking midfielder who can contribute to the attack, and the two of them as a combination is rather potent. Linnea Karjalainen, a tall, imposing player who can pass the ball to any place on the pitch, moves on to the third spot on the roster - not the best shooter, but when she can bend the ball the way she does, she doesn't need to shoot. Þyrill Bjarnhéðinsson is now the veteran creative outlet that has pace, vision, and deadly shooting skill. On the roster for the first time, fresh off of the Di Bradini Cup 3rd Place squad, is Quentin Nicholson, a visionary whose first touch lets him make elaborate moves to contribute to the attack. A bit of a reed, and not reliable on the defensive end.

Depth Chart
Lavrentiy XUEN-ZHUKOV - Elaine HOWARD-DAWES
Kaytlyn JEAN-BAPTISTE - Harriet BAÏE-VERTE
Adélaïde BITTENCOURT - Neva HYDEN

Lavrentiy Xuen-Zhukov continues to write his own legend, almost scoring a goal per match and becoming a crowd favorite for Chromatika. Xuen-Zhukov is a Complete Forward that uses a combination of pace, stamina, and acceleration to fly past the opposition and score. He was the fastest ever to reach more than twenty goals - he will likely be the highest scoring Chromatik ever by the time his career is over (he is thirteen goals away). Having claimed the spot as the second striker is Elaine Howard-Dawes, the shooter who's lethal from close to midrange. She can contribute as long as she doesn't need to get past someone to achieve that shot. Xuen-Zhukov takes all the attention, and Howard-Dawes capitalizes - as shown by her time with Crossroads.

Kaytlyn Jean-Baptiste and Harriet Baïe-Verte have established themselves as second string. Jean-Baptiste has an endless motor, gets better the longer the game goes, and knows when to step up in big situations; Baïe-Verte is a more well-rounded player who will do almost anything to reach her goals. At RGS Athletic, she's developed into more of a consistent scoring threat.

Adélaïde Bittencourt is a true striker who's earned the right to be on the roster as a solid backup option, while Neva Hyden is a player unlike any they've ever had on this roster. Hyden is the true False Nine who doesn't mind dropping back and playing with the midfield to assist - and if this team can utilize her to cause some chaos... That would be fun.

Lavrentiy is the pure scorer on the team, while Howard-Dawes is the other starting striker.

TACTICAL INFORMATION
Many thanks to Mytanija for the blueprint.)

Chromatika's 3-4-1-2 is based off of Mytanija's formation - with a twist.

3-4-1-2 – IN POSSESSION: Chromatika's base formation for World Cup 102 qualification is a 3-4-1-2. This means there will be 3 central defenders, a wing-back on either side, 2 central midfielders, an attacking midfielder and 2 strikers on the pitch at any one time. This does not mean that the team will play in these positions for the whole game, as Chromatiks have adopted the Mytanar philosophy of flexibility in and out of possession, utilizing the fact that until very recently, they ran a 4-3-2-1/4-4-1-1. When Chromatika has the ball the 3-4-1-2 will change into more of a 3-2-5 shape, this is designed to try to create overloads in attacking areas so that the Chromatiks can create two versus one situations where the opposition have to make decisions on who they will engage with.

This 3-2-5 will be achieved firstly by one of the wing-backs (from the starting line-up, this would be right-sided wing-back Jacoliene Hauptmeijer) moving into a central midfield position to play alongside the deeper-lying of the two central midfielders (Jayla Lethbridge-Antonio, if among the Starting XI). This creates a pairing in central midfield which will be used to help the team build-up, providing passing options both in front of the central defensive three and the 5 players which end-up ahead of them.

That 5 is made-up of the opposite-sided wing-back (in this example it would be left wing-back Edith Fillar), the more advanced central midfielder (Maddie Prenn), the attacking midfielder (Lee Hyun-Seol); and the strikers (usually Xuen-Zhukov and Howard-Dawes). The wing-back has to push on to achieve the 3-2-5 shape, getting into the final third and maintaining the width on their side of the pitch. They will be given some license to get into the penalty area if the ball is on the other side, giving another option for their teammates. The more advanced central midfielder will be tasked with playing inside of the wing-back, in the so-called ‘half-space’, they will look to work with the wing-back to create an overload on their side of the pitch.

The attacking midfielder and the two strikers will interchange fairly freely, though one will always be tasked with pulling wide to ensure that width is maintained on both sides of the attacking ‘5’ with the aim of stretching the opposition’s defense across the width of the pitch. One striker (usually Howard-Dawes in the Starting XI) will drop deep to create space for rotations with the attacking midfielder and the other striker, those two looking to run into and exploit the space vacated by the other striker. These rotations are aimed to shift the opposition defenders around the pitch and create a bit of confusion.

In terms of progressing the play the team will look to move the ball with controlled pace. The team will aim to do this with utmost precision, as is the Chromatik way.

3-4-1-2 – OUT OF POSSESSION: Chromatika's reaction to losing the ball depends on where they actually lose possession on the pitch. Should they lose the ball high-up the pitch, in the opposition’s half, then there will be an instantaneous reaction to press the opponent with the ball to try to win it back quickly high-up the pitch. This is hoped to create chances nearer to the opposition’s goal, effectively using the press as a playmaker. If the opponent breaks through the initial press then Chromatika will look to recover into a 5-3-2 shape as below. Should Chromatika lose the ball nearer to their own goal then they will instantly look to recover into defensive positions to try to make themselves difficult to break down. This shape will be closer to a 5-3-2 than the 3-4-1-2 starting formation.

Both wing-backs will drop deeper, alongside the three central defenders to form the 5. The two central midfielders (Lethbridge-Antonio, J. and Maddie Prenn), will drop deep in front of the three central defenders to shield them a little and the attacking midfielder (Lee Hyun-Seol), will drop to play in front of them, operating as a bit of a guard dog – either sitting on an opposition deep-lying playmaker to try to stop the ball into them, or by leading a half-pitch press. The two strikers will look to stop the ball going back to the opposition’s central defenders and press them when they are in possession.

Chromatika will also play a variety of other formations should they want to play a little differently, the most likely ones they would change to from the 3-4-1-2 are a 3-5-2 (taking out the attacking midfielder and using three central midfielders); a 4-3-1-2 (pushing the wing-backs back to play as full-backs, removing a central defender and replacing them with a defensive or central midfielder); a 4-2-3-1 (pushing the wing-backs back to play as full-backs, removing a central defender and a striker and then playing a winger on either side); or a narrow 4-4-2 diamond (pushing the wing-backs back to play as full-backs, removing a central defender to play either as a defensive or central midfielder). Chromatika is very versed in the 4-2-3-1 and the 4-4-2, as they've played those before under previous management.

STRATEGY SUMMARY UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT: Amelia brings a possession-based emphasis to a strategy that was already working already for this team. The goal is to control and possess, and then have that lead to attacks.

Overview
Bhumi Matawis Empire or simply Bhumi Matawis is an archipelagic and thalassocracy country located mainly in the region of Mandalanusa. It is occupy the vast Sagaranusa Archipelago in southeastern part of the region. It has several neighboring countries, mostly by maritime boundaries. It has several overseas constituent countries in another regions. The Sagotra, the center of the empire, is around 550,000 square kilometers while the whole empire is almost 2 million square kilometers. With the population of around 270 millions, it is the largest country in the region. The capital is Kartasura while it has 2 royal capitals, Kutagedhe, the western royal capital and Yudakarta, the eastern royal capital. The dual royal capital exist because the empire is headed by a dual monarchy. The two monarchs are the cadet branch of Matawis Dynasty. The government is lead by Mahapatih Anom, a prime minister and they are supported by Mahapatih Agung, the leader of Graha Sagotra, chamber of the nobles which is also the upper house of the country Grand Assembly.

Football has been one of the most popular sports in the country. It has many followers and established quite a cult for some of its clubs. The sports was introduced by the colonizer and spread quite rapidly. The first league was established in 1938, an amateur one. It become a semi-pro league in 1968 and a pro league in 1994. The new system is introduce in 2016 under the Bhumi League. In international stage, the national team played their first official match against Greater Deutsch in the 87th Baptism of Fire. They ended their journey at quarterfinal. For World Cup, the team entered the qualification three times (including the current 102nd edition). And they have qualify for the main competition one time during the 101st edition where they qualify as runner-up in their qualifying group. However, their first World Cup appearance ended in Group Stage as they finished last in their respective group.

The national squad maintains consistency with the players that appeared in the CAFA Nations League. That campaign may have ended in a disappointing relegation, however the lone victory came with additional benefits. Hanalia had only ever managed to win by a three goal margin before this tournament and the record keepers were having to work hard keeping the ever growing list up to date. However, the win was a 5-0 defeat of Vdara in the home match bringing the biggest win(s) list back down to a much mor manageable one entry (for the time being). Fortune would also be on the Hanlaians' side with the qualifying draw seeing them face off against vanquished Vdarans.

The Nation

The Democratic States of Indusse, often simply called Indusse, is a large nation with over 160 million citizens and is a democracy known for its diverse culture, traditions and people. The nation, which is huge in size, is divided into fourteen provinces which have their own provincial governments and the nation as a whole has a central government for its administration. Indusse has recognized over 20 languages as its official language, but the majority of its people speak English, Malayalam and Hindi respectively. Sanatana Dharma and Catholicism are two religions that are widely practiced all over the country.

New Hind City is the capital of Indusse and remains the most populated city too. Other major cities include Riveria, Neagra City, Sindhunagar, Sao Bartholomew which all are centers of trade, entertainment and culture. Efficient rail and road networks connect the cities inland, and high-speed rail has become a popular way to move across the country. The country spans multiple climates and terrains, with coastal cities to the south, rainforests and temperate forests inland, arid deserts toward the centre, and mountainous regions scattered across the country.

Indusse is officially a democracy, having transitioned from a historic monarchy into a colonial state and then to a modern republic through a lot of struggles and reforms. While the monarchy no longer holds political power, its legacy lives on in many regional customs and traditions. Today, the government operates through a parliamentary system, with the President Baskar H Kumar leading the country.

Tsang Po was quickly able to find interest in playing football and urged his parents to get him enrolled in an academy. He started to play for his school team and then got himself into a local club known as FC Union Gwarat's youth squad at the age of fourteen. He was able to provide his club with the defending skills that they wanted and he got promoted to FC Union Gwarat's main squad. A few seasons for that club he got a call to play for Sindvpore FC's youth squad and his performance in the club got him a spot in the Under Nineteen squad. He was able to play really well for the Nationals as well as the Sindvpore Youth which got him into the news soon after. Cyrus YAZDANI
Position:
LB | Age: 21 | Club: Image Southbay Riveria FC | Apps: 53

Yazdani was born in San Aurelio, a city in the Province of Neagra. Yazdani belongs to a family that practices Mazdayasna and was the first Parsi (those who follow Mazdayasna) to reach the National Team. Yazdani paved his way to this oppurtunity over the years starting at the age of 12 when he started playing for the school team and the Neagra Under 16 Squad. His performance was widely appreciated and at the age of fifteen he was signed by Neagra FC as a youth product. His performance for the Neagra FC Youth Team in their debut season was wonderful which made him to be signed by Southbay Riveria FC Youth within a year. While in Southbay Riveria FC Youth, he was able to showcase his talent, eventually turning himself into the captain of the youth team. His performance got him a call from the Indussean Under 18 World Cup camp and Cyrus was able to be a starter when Indusse reached the Round of Sixteen in the U18 World Cup's 23rd Edition. Playing for Indusse as a leftback, Cyrus was able to make brilliant play in the ground which made him a newsmaker for a while. While being back at Indusse, he was signed by the Ralsalin side Dasein. He was able to make some noise at Dasein but soon after he made a move to the Ktyler Peninsulae Club Capitolians. Adhaan is a player who has been able to showcase his tackling strength which sometimes turn out to be rash, but more practice and control would make him more flexible at his position.

Dhananjay BHATTACHARYA
Position:
CM | Age: 22 | Club: Image Sindvpore FC | Apps: 60

Dhananjay was born in the town of Navapura in Sindvpore Province to a Sanatana priest family. The three brothers joined a local club at the age of eleven, playing for their juniors team. But, Dhananjay was the only one who was able to keep up with the pressure and build up his skills. With improving his performance from time to time, he got selected to play for a province level club known as Paltanpur Titans. Back then and still now Sindvpore FC conducts special selection trials at local clubs of Sindvpore and as part of that they visited Paltanpur's academy. At the academy, the Talent Acquisition Officer (Sindvpore FC) noticed Bhattacharya and referred him to the authorities and that gave him the oppurtunity to shift his home club to Sindvpore FC Youth. While playing for Sindvpore FC Youth he was able to showcase his numerous skills and his flexibiity to play in defense and midfield. This had also played a major role in appointing him as the Youth Team Captain. His performance in the Sindvpore Youth League which eventually got him the "Rising Star" award was made a huge news and that led to his name being discussed in a potential National Under 18 Squad. When the final list for the Under 18 Squad was announced, Bhattacharya was included and named captain. That's when the player also got promoted into the Sindvpore FC primary squad. Bhattacharya has been a flexible player with huge leadership qualities and is expected to be having the capacity to be a national team captain in the future.

Raphael O'SHAUGHNESSY
Position:
RW | Age: 20 | Club: Image FC Städeli - B | Apps: 53

O'Shaughnessy is credited to be the first player from his province to be selected for the national team. O'Shaughnessy was born in the island of Saint Federich (District in Rockies Islands Province) to a Catholic couple who had been serving as Engineers at the Memphis Shipyard (Operated by the Government). Since his parents had to spend most of their time at work and travel, he used to be sent to his grandparents house. It was his grandfather who used to be a old football player in the locality who made Raphael also keen on playing ball. His grandfather later decided to send him to a local club at Memphis at the age of twelve, known as Port Memphis Youths. He continued to play as a right winger for Port Memphis Youths until the age of fourteen when he was selected to play at Salingam United's Youth Academy. This was when he was also selected to represent the country in the Under 18 World Cup. His performance in the national camp earned him a sudden promotion to the Primary Squad of Salingam United. Soon after multiple foreign clubs started to offer contracts to him and he was signed by the Taxhavn side FC Städeli's youth team. While playing for the FC Städeli Youth, he had been a successful playmaker which soon got him to be in the club's B Team. O'Shaughnessy is an adamant individual who is willing to learn new skills and learn from his mistakes. He is been considered as a player who can play flexibly in all three sections of the ground, let it be the Attacking Side, Midfield or even the Defence.

Goblin GRUNDJEE
Position:
FW | Age: Unknown | Club: Image Sindvpore FC | Apps: 354

The first and only non-human sportsperson that has been part of Indusse's National Team, that is what Goblin Grundjee is to everyone. Created through Genetic Engineering years ago, Goblin Grundjee is part of the "Grundjee" Project (Family) which was one of the three families/projects that were introduced via genetic engineering (the other two projects are known as Mithys and Auris). The Grundjee family consists of multiple other individuals designed for various roles such as Colonels in the Army and Doctors. Grundjee was engineered using the genes of David E Beckham mixed with animal and algae genes. Grundjee at the time of creation had green skin and sharp ears. After a few years of engineering, he was transformed into a human-like figure. Grundjee ended up being a very successful creation since his play has been vital in the run of the national team. Grundjee is now a player whose name you find in the list of top goal scorers and the players with most appearances. Grundjee has always played for Sindvpore FC in the domestic level, which led to him winning multiple Liga Prime recognitions including championships, Golden Boot and Golden Ball. Grundjee was engineered to play for the National Team and the domestics were never of focus, he is quick and farsighted with skills that make him the perfect attacking midfielder.

Djetson had to change his surname at the age of sixteen to Hasle to join the film industry as a young actor since there was a prominent star "Philip Hazlett" existing. He couldn't do much in the film industry, which changed his route into football. He had close connections with players like Paulson and Budtedjson which helped him in pursuing a career in football. He was invited to play for the national U-18 team due to his absolutely notable performance for his club Sindvpore FC's Youth Team. His performance also brought him into the national team and got himself a key position. He is married to Katherine Hazlett, daughter of film star Philip Hazlett because of who he had to change his name. Katherine is also a prominent film star in Indusse. Hasle also took part in multiple futsal events in the country and also tried a hand in hockey. But he later realised that he was only made for professional soccer. He was later transferred to Dhalopura FC for loan where he was not able to prove himself. His performance started deteriorating in a slow pace when Sindvpore decided to transfer him to multiple small clubs until he reached SC Bertuara, a club which plays in provincial leagues. His performance started to improve steadily and that was when he rose again in Prominence and got a contract to play at the Taxhavn side Standard Lily. Djetson is experienced with multiple playing environments and is very good at maintaining a connectivity in the game.

RAHUL B Kumar
Position:
FW | Age: 29 | Club: Image Tsear AC | Apps: 274

Born to the national legend Baskar H Kumar as his only son in the private island of Derasar off the coast of Cape de Hind, Rahul had faced a lot of controversy regarding his arrival in the camp to be nepotic. He ended up proving that wrong with his performance in all forms of football. Rahul started his training at a very young age playing for his school teams and later in local clubs around Hind. He followed his father's path of being a sharpshooting striker. He soon started his career at the age of fifteen by playing for New Hind City B Team, the same team that was the stepping stone for his father. He also got into the Under Sixteen and later Under Nineteen national squads in the subsequent years. His performance in these matches soon got him a ticket to the National Team. After his stint at New Hind City FC, he was transferred to play for Neagra FC during his alma mater at Sanātana Dharma College, New Hind City. After a few years playing for Neagra, he went back to New Hind City as a key striker. His play for the club and the national team improved and he got his first overseas contract playing for Tsear AC in Saterun. Rahu who is still young for the game, is quick and a sharp shooter everyone needs to keep an eye on.

Once the youngest recruit in the national camp and now the full-time captain (sixth full time captain in the National Team history) of the National Team, Antonio Mersiás was born in the Karadawadi County in Dhalopura's Farjourd district. Born in a poor family as "Antonio Francis Antony Mersiás" his parents had to find ways to make their needs meet. He was sent to a village school where he was not an achiever in academics but very keen in football. His headmaster who noticed his talent decided to send him to the city of Jawal-Biesse for his further studies and training under the master's expense. He soon got enrolled in FC Jawal-Biesse and was promoted as their Captain. His skills soon got him into the Sporting World Cup Squad and he was named the captain of the team. He took his team into the SWC Semi Finals but lost against Starblaydia. He soon got transferred from FC Jawal-Biesse to Dhalopura FC. He soon got into an argument with the Dhalopura FC Management and he was sent to play for Hind City FC. He played in the club for a few years and his performance there got him into the National Team Squad. Mersiás is also the player from Indusse with most Overseas Transfers. While he played for Hind City, he was offered a contract to play for the Hebitaka side club Demolishers. He soon left Demolishers to the Quebecois Side Winnipeg United. His career had a major boost while playing at Quebec where he was one of the key players in their league. After an illustrious career at Winnipeg, he was transferred to another Quebecois club Baie-Verte. Baie-Verte was a life changer for Mersiás where he improved his performance and skills which eventually won him the Q-League Golden Boot. One of the younger generation in the national camp who is sought to be a key player in the future, Michael Djenkzo was born in the City of Lyssane in Malta. Just like most of the World Cup 99 - 100 season recruits, Djenkzo also got his induction through his domestic and Under nineteen nationals performance. Eventually Djenkzo got himself to be a key player in his school team and later got selected to play for Lyssane City Youth Academy. He was later promoted to the Lyssane City Main Squad at the age of sixteen and he continued his career there improving his skills. He was later transferred to the Reserve Team of Sindvpore FC where he was able to win a few youth leagues and also end up being a classy player. While the Sindvpore FC Management was in talks to promote him to the main squad, he was offered a contract to play for the Kelssek Club Coquitlam United. He currently plays for Burnaby SC after he was given a better contract and later during the World Cup 99 Campaign he was selected to play in the National Team of Indusse. He replaced Butea as a starter in the squad after Butea had retired. Djenkzo is young, quick and very skillful in set pieces.

Born in Sindhara a not so noisy town then in the Sindvpore Province, Preetham has been in the camp for a decent amount of time. Preetham started his career in football playing for a local club during his high school days. Started as a defender for that club, he soon found out that Goalkeeping would be his area of expertise. At the age of sixteen he got into a club based on the city of Ferrenceton in Malta and soon got to be their goalkeeper. His performance for that club (which seems to not exist anymore) got him into the Malta FC B Team at the age of twenty one. Spending time in Malta and building up his career through better training and skill advancement, Preetham's name started to be heard in a lot of player scout circles. At the age of twenty three, he was offered a contract to play for Dhalopura FC as their second choice keeper. He soon was offered a contract at Southbay Riveria FC as the second choice keeper. He was part of the squad that won multiple Liga Prime championships for Southbay. He was then called up for the national team as one of the reserve keepers and was in the squad that won the IAC for Indusse. While being in Rockies, he ended up sharing the Golden Boot in the league's 17th edition. He was then offered a higher paying contract in Salingam United FC where he is now playing. He has joined the National Camp in the Pre-WC 100 Campaign and everyone is looking forward for his tactical attacks.

Leonard BUSCHELUS
Position:
CM | Age:29 | Club: Image Dhalopura FC | Apps: 5

Born in Burnehill in East Palmira, Buschelus found his way to the national team a bit late just like how he found out football was his interest area and his future. Even though he was into watching football in television, Buschelus was not a person who was into football when he was very young or was doing his early schooling. His first appearance as a player was during his last few years in school when he was suddenly asked to be a substitute player in a Pre-University friendly. Hesitant, Buschelus wore boots and got into the ground for the first time and that was all needed for identifying the future player that was asleep inside him. From then he started to show interest in football, joining his college team and later local clubs in Burnehill. At the age of 19 he was offered a contract to join Sloth Bay FC as a reserve midfielder and whenever he was substituted in, he was able to prove himself. This got him a permanent spot in Sloth Bay's starting eleven and later in Neagra FC's starting eleven when he was transferred at the age of 23. His career in Neagra was very short and was offered a better contract as a starter in Dhalopura FC. He was able to showcase his skills in Dhalopura where he got into Season's Best XI twice in the league. He then received multiple contracts in other clubs but decided to stay in Dhalopura, this was when he was asked to join the IFA Academy for fitness tests and soon was called up to play in the National Team. Buschelus is very aggressive in nature with proficiency in long ranging shots.

Adityavarma Kulashekara International Stadium
Capacity:
131,561 | Location: New Hind City | Highest Attendance (Sport): 122,911

The Aditya Varma Kulashekara International Stadium, is home to the Flocking Blues and is the largest sports stadium in the nation. This stadium located in the Sports City premises of New Hind City has a pre-determined capacity of 131,561 spectators to hold. The stadium since it's creation that happened years before democracy came into Indusse has been used for events that are not at all related to football. The most attendance that was recorded in the stadium was for such an event. This event recorded about 148,241 spectators in the stadium which was lot more than its capacity. This was for the sworn-in ceremony of Baskar H Kumar as the first president of Indusse after years of colonialism and injustice. The Stadium is named after one of the most celebrated emperors of Indusse, His Highness Sri Aditya Varma Kulashekara I. Before that it was known as Sree Kulashekara Stadium and then IFA International Stadium. The IFA later build a smaller stadium not far from this to conduct their usual events.

The Stadium recorded the most attendance for a football match during the World Cup 100 Qualifiers when Indusse faced HUElavia at home. Eventhough the match ended with a draw of two goals scored by both teams each, the spectators data adds up to a record of 122,911 fans. This Stadium was built first by Aditya Varma Kulashekara I, the emperor of Indusse at his reign as a huge ground and was built to accommodate events that could not be conducted in the Darbar Grounds. The land that the stadium stands now was a huge forest that surrounded the Karthapuram Lake and Kadaathaaaru River (now Karthapura Lake and Canal). It was later renovated to a stadium by Aditya Varma Kulashekara III for giving the Indussean Football Association their own home ground. The Stadium at its beginning had a capacity of 62,122 spectators and was later increased to 97,783. The Stadium also in the past hosted the home matches of Royal Hind City FC (Currently, New Hind City FC) and Hind United FC (Currently dissolved). It currently serves as the home ground for New Hind City FC in multiple occasions and also hosts the finals of the Indraprastha Cup.

The Stadium over the years has been home to multiple events including sports and other recreational activities. The stadium has hosted multiple matches of the eighty sixth edition of Baptism of Fire including the final match. It has also hosted multiple finals of the Federation of Football Independents (FFI) including that of League of Victors (16th and 22nd Editions) and the eighteenth edition of FFI Confederations Trophy.

The Aditya Varma Kulashekara International Stadium has fallen prey to a fire disaster just before Matchday 2 of the World Cup Qualifiers. All home matches will now be played at IFA National Academy Stadium.

IFA National Academy Stadium
Capacity:
45,000 | Location: New Hind City | Highest Attendance (Sport): 42,189

The IFA National Academy Stadium serves as the official training ground and secondary home of the Indusse national football team. Owned and operated by the Indussean Football Association (IFA), the stadium is located just 1 km from the Aditya Varma Kulashekara International Stadium, forming part of a wider national sport city complex. While smaller in capacity, the stadium is equipped with world-class facilities making it one of the most advanced football academies in the country. It regularly hosts national team training camps, youth development programs, and closed-door friendlies. The IFA National Academy Stadium also functions as a hub for grassroots football and coaching certification programs, supporting the IFA’s vision of building a self-sustaining and elite football ecosystem in Indusse.

Disappointing results in both international and domestic play saw Óskar dropped as the number one for the Wanderers heading into the Copa Rushmori where Essa was given the starting role. Having helped lead Turkish to an unexpected SuperLiga title, the veteran keeper showcased their shot stopping abilities quite well and made some key saves in the Wanderers regional championship victory. That was enough to have the Turkish keeper stay as the favorite heading into the qualifiers, though there is hope that Óskar and/or Surány Kôvári will have match or two to showcase their abilities. The squad is going to want solid back up options in net should Essa's form start to fail and while the Squonshelous based keeper has all the hype, the younger keeper in Siovanija and Teusland has had good performances and could supplant him in the pecking order in given the opportunity.

There has been quite the amount of turnover in the defense between the pool at the start of last qualifying cycle and the start of this one and despite that large amount of turnover, only one starter has been replaced. Scheider was not even named to the national team pool while Vilmos Ferenczy fresh off his move from CAP to Myana, where he only won the Champions League in his first season, goes from being not even in the pool to starting alongside the veteran Hetzog in the middle of defense. A youthful, strong defender with a high footballing iq, the former CAP defender looks to fit right in, having been part of the Copa Rushmori wining team. Sherwin continues to defy age catching up to her as she was also part of that Myana Champions Winning side and her defensive presence allowing the more adventurous in attack Aragón on the left to provide some needed support for the rest of the squad. Kartal Szél is a surprise inclusion and yet performing well in the Kelssek league is a quick way towards earning your place in the team as that league is the third most represented in the national team with five players, behind Chromatika with six, and the SuperLiga with seventeen, as the domestic league truly has become a foundational member towards national team success as Thor had desired during his tenure.

Where other parts of the squad have seen plenty of turnover, the midfield for the Wanderers remains largely unchanged from the one that was picked for selection for the last qualifiers, with only a depth center midfielder or two having been rotated out. It is hard to see a spot among the starting quartet where you could do better, even as there are concerns that Buday's legs might start to go during this qualifying cycle, especially with as much football as he has been subjected to on the domestic side of things. If there is an area of concern it is the depth at the destroyer role as although Dražan Kovač can play that lynchpin in the middle position, there is a gulf in quality between him and Jóhanna who starts there. It is probably the weakest position in terms of depth in the national pool, as attacking and playmaking midfielders are a dime a dozen while there is also plenty of good depth for attacking wingers and inside forwards to play out wide. The Wanderers will have to hope that their stout dame in the middle does not suffer injury or a drop in form or it could leave a hole in otherwise the most potent part of the Wanderers squad.

Strikers
ST: Tímea Szôllôsi, age 27, Stein-los Turkish (F)
AMC/ST: Alexander Szôlösi, age 31, Galatica
ST: Sahir Hana'i Wasem, age 30, Stein-los Turkish
LW/ST: Katinka Fazakas, age 31, Langlois Océanic Image (F)
ST: Musa Diya Seif, age 27, Kirkenes Image

Despite the great individual talent that both of the strikers had the lack of consistency and being over thirty has seen them not selected for the tournament and instead both Szôllôsis are put up front. Alexander is a strong, traditional center forward who can bring the rest of the attack into play with his hold up play, while Tímea, the two not being related, is an out and out goalscorer. The golden boot winner in the most recent SuperLiga season en route to the title, she is a feisty little striker who knows how to get into good scoring positions and convert more often than not. Seif's development in Kelssek has done wonders for the striker and he is likely to be the first option off the bench in the need of added attack when chasing, though if needing a more culture approach the side might look Fazakas way as well as her still quite leathal pace even past the age of thirty.. Will the attack be quite the same without Járngrímur and Laszlo at the tip of the spear, the Copa Rushmori scoring output suggests that it will be, though there is a stark difference in pressure and quality between the Copa and the World Cup Finals.

Tactics
Image
Igor Topić is not looking to reinvent the wheel with his promotion from the U21 team to the senior team, he will look to play the traditional Pasargan 4-4-2, though with a few tweaks of his own. Both midfielders will be asked to be a playmaker as well as provide defensive cover for the backline. The backline is simply there to defend, flying fullbacks are not part of his system, as both he and Meier come from a defensive background playing in the national team has defenders in their playing days. Some exceptions may be made, like in the case of the current left back who has been given liberty to support the attack in opportune moments. The midfield and attack need to work as a cohesive unit so that they can carry the slack as a group when one of the attackers is in a rough patch and that is what the manager will be hoping that his fairly fluid front five can provide going forward.

The Snestaryan National Team

After the miraculous debut performance in the World Cup 101, the Snestaryan National Team is proud to present themselves for their first ever participation in the 102nd edition of the World Cup, the most prestigious football tournament of the entire Multiverse. The Snestaryans are a sociable, peaceful and perpetually bored folk who like to mess around with each other whenever they get the occasion: in fact, unexpected silliness is quite frequent between the players, both on and off the pitch. Either way, the Viola is ready to write its signature onto the pages of World Cup 102, chasing the country’s first major international trophy.
Football in Snestar

Image

Ever since football was brought by Snestar, the sport has always been popular among the citizens, and it soon became the center of interest of local athletes. The first official top division, Division Alpha, was founded in 1899 and has seen a total of 18 different winners over its 119 editions so far. Despite the constant presence of the Big Three (Image Lavenya, Image Edervina, and Image Dandelicha Continental), the league has stayed highly competitive, allowing for underdogs to claim high spots on the table (such as Arentas' incredible 7th place finish in the 2024-25 season, after just gaining promotion the previous season), though the mid-table and relegation battle are also usually entertaining to watch. Last season, Division Alpha saw the title race contested between four clubs (Image Lavenya, Image Terselva, Image Venistalya, and Image Arentas), with Venistalya coming out on top after winning the title on penalties in a tiebreaker against Lavenya (the two clubs were tied on points in first place at the end of the regular season), while the Snestaryan Cup saw second divsion side Image Dorolma win the trophy in a miracle run. Snestar's stadiums aren't too flashy, as due to the structure of Snestaryan cities, clubs usually choose smaller venues. Dandelicha's Stadio Olimpico, the capital's stadium, is by far the largest in the country, thanks to its 84000 seats. Other notable examples include Lavenya Stadium (61000 seats), Evergreens Arena (53000 seats), the Veralica Stadium (49000 seats) and the Victoria Stadium (48000 seats), which are the stadiums usually prepared for international matches (other venues are also taken into consideration for smaller stakes competitive matches and international friendlies, since most of Snestar's stadiums do not exceed 30 thousand seats).

Meet The Team

Image

The Manager
Edoardo Di Palma
Age: 49
Personality: tactical, defensive, confident
When Edoardo Di Palma was appointed Head Coach of Snestar by the FSC, he'd received a lot of criticism by Snestaryan Media, who questioned his ability to lead the national team (despite the manager's experience with Division Alpha clubs such as Carvella and Fraliso). However, Di Palma’s revolution of the National Team almost immediately proved everyone wrong, after not only securing direct qualification to the WC101 (defeating group leaders Ko-oren 4-0 and being the only team who did not lose against them), but also reaching the Quarterfinals of the tournament against all odds, narrowly beating the likes of Banija and Aphrilia before succumbing to eventual winners Audioslavia. Despite having a lot of pressure on his head, Di Palma seemed to have gained more confidence since the end of the WC101, and is ready to bring the Viola right back to the top of the world in Cycle 102.

Goalkeepers

Federico Calvaresi #1 (Captain)
Age: 26
Personality: professional, composed, focused
Current club: Arentas
The anchor of the national team, Federico Calvaresi had distinguished himself among other Snestaryan goalkeepers due to his ability to be on the ball (figuratively and literally) at all times. He was able to guide Arentas to promotion in the 23-24 season, and stuck with the small club and brought it all the way to 7th place, despite having received offers from big clubs such as Lavenya and Venistalya throughout the season. His loyalty paid off: in fact, he was given captaincy of both Arentas and the national team, showing he can be trusted with leading even the most divided of squads.

Renato Splendore #12
Age: 30
Personality: patient, amicable, selfless
Current club: Keklaneka Esportiu (Bonusia)
Despite being the second-choice keeper of the national team, Renato Splendore still keeps the goalkeeping standards for the Snestaryan national team high. After spending a few years as the backup keeper of Lavenya, mostly spending the Fleur-de-lays’s matches watching from the bench and patiently waiting for the perfect time to show his experience with the ball. He knew that under Pawel Wodzyński’s reign, Lavenya’s net won’t need a replacement anytime soon, so he decided to move to Bonusia, instantly becoming a key player for Keklaneka Esportiu, and providing a great protection to the goal.

Lucia Fanton #28
Age: 19
Personality: cheerful, creative, unpredictable
Current club: Shamrocks FC Ladies (Lisander)
An emerging goalkeeper who's already shown her skills in the 62nd edition of Di Bradini Cup, being the first choice goalkeeper of the Snestaryan U-21 National Team. While not very tall physically, Lucia is very agile and versatile, and definitely works better as a sweeper keeper rather than a shot stopper (unlike Calvaresi and Splendore, who prefer guarding the goal). During her time in Fraliso, in the Women's Division Alpha, Lucia has also ended up gaining notoriety for her bold exits and sudden runs into the pitch, which have helped the club generate more hype for women's football (at the expense of giving her coach many heart attacks). Now that she's managed to obtain an international transfer to Shamrocks FC Ladies, Lucia has vowed to remain calmer throughout the matches, although we aren't sure if her promise can be 100% trusted.

Defenders

Marta Camilla Barami #2
Age: 19
Personality: party animal, silly, chronically online
Current club: Anticicló Molina (Bonusia)
Marta Camilla Barami was the one of the first Snestaryan to try her luck outside of the nation. Seeing how the Women’s Division Alpha lacked opportunities (the league is still under development), Marta chose to transfer over to Anticiclò Molina in Bonusia, where she has truly found a club where she can shine. Bring only 19, Marta is incredibly proud of her Starting XI spot in the National Team, and frequently teases her companions about it (with the main target of her digs being Maratea, her NT substitute), but everyone knows she's in good faith. Marta is also well-known among Snestaryans for her perennial presence in social media, mostly on Instagram and Reddit, and has been crowned a honorary moderator of the r/okbuddyzerogoals subreddit (the community where people poke fun at Division Alpha's characteristic lack of goals).

Giulio Maritan #3
Age: 23
Personality: calm, cautious, simple minded, determined
Current club: Venistalya
Giulio Maritan was never full of talent when he was a young man. Before being taken under 2nd division club Brega’s wing, he’d been rejected by many top division clubs. Still, he never gave up on his dream, and through years of suffering, he was eventually able to move onto the level of football he’d chased for years: he moved through many Division Beta clubs, growing more and more as a person and a player until he was finally able to get the call from Grenna, eventually earning himself a spot in the national team. Now, he's breached into Division Alpha title-holders Venistalya, and has rightfully earned his Starting XI spot in the Viola, with a whole career still ahead of him.

Stefano Shurdaqi #4
Age: 35
Personality: focused, thoughtful, indolent
Current club: Lavenya
The most expected addition to the roster of the Viola, Shurdaqi comes from a mixed family due to being born on the island of Tirya, a large chunk of land divided between three nations. but in reality he was still raised just like any other Snestaryan. So far he has preferred to maintain an immaculate media presence, and very little is known about his personal life, apart from his parents' origins. Still, Shurdaqi has quietly managed to climb his way up the walls of the Snestaryan football structure, and his recent joining of Lavenya has granted him a National Team spot.

Riccardo Cavaliere #5
Age: 24
Personality: confident, charming, resilient
Current club: Lavenya
Through careful training and lots of resilience, Riccardo Cavaliere was able to earn himself a spot as one of the starters of Lavenya, one of the most prestigious and historically dominating clubs in Snestar. His play style is usually very offensive, relying on his strength to steal the ball and join the attack as an impromptu winger when necessary. After helping Lavenya win the 2024 Snestaryan Cup against Fraliso by scoring a brace in extra time and gaining an immense amount of fame, Riccardo has become subject to idolatry by many Snestaryan fans, including gaining lots of traction with women. However, his heart is already bound to another…

Rinaldo Larizza #13
Age: 22
Personality: Stubborn, precise, disciplined
Current club: Atixa Mistralis (Kanzlia)
Before his transfer to Atixa Mistralis, Larizza'd had a rather uneventful time at Dandelicha Continental. Since the club was having a crisis at the time, there wasn't much space for the young, rotation left back. He prefers to stick to defending and keeping his position, and is not able to support attacking plays well, but he's perfectly capable of guiding the midfield whenever it's necessary. Judging by his inflexible personality, no one would have expected him to leave Snestar, but an offer by a Kanzlian club was too advantageous to ignore. Larizza was also very well-received in Kanzlia, as despite his poor performance (being sent off in the title decider on the last matchday) he was able to help Atixa Mistralis win the 8th edition of the Kanzlian Honour Division. The 9th division didn't go so well, and Larizza is hoping to see WC102 as an opportunity to try to reclaim his spot in the Starting XI of his club.

Sebastiano Balestri #15
Age: 21
Personality: cursed, arrogant, subtle
Current club: Crimsonhawke FC (Tikariot)
Before bringing Crimsonhawke FC at the top of the Tikariot Premier League, Sebastiano Balestri had recently been subject to a "trophy curse": shortly after his departure from Venistalya (which was eliminated in the second round of the Snestaryan Cup because of an avoidable red card from Balestri in the first half of their match), the Snestaryan club managed to secure their 11th title (after a drought of 24 years!). The same thing happened in the 24/25 season, where he'd gone to Ardalya from Edervina at the start of the season, and the Evergreens proceeded to secure the title immediately after. Interestingly, seeing how Crimsonhawke FC had finished their season in the TPL at the brink of relegation, Balestri's transfer seemed nonsensical. However, as Crimsonhawke had found themselves as champions of the TPL, Balestri's decision was certainly misjudged.

Daniele Maratea #22
Age: 22
Personality: affable, a bit apathetic towards football
Current club: Vna-Chuhul Ravens FC (Tikariot)
Daniele Maratea was one of the many new Snestaryan players involved in the National Team’s renovation. After taking part in a fantastic break-out season for Ardalya’s defense, Maratea found himself under Snestaryan spotlights, being constantly called “the next great center-back”. Funnily enough, during an interview he stated that he had actually missed the call from Di Palma, as he was too invested watching a documentary about penguins. Still, concerns about his performances for Vna-Chuhul Ravens FC have started to pile up, giving Daniele a lot of pressure that he needs to endure, if he wants to continue playing for the National Team.

Riccardo Finamore #23
Age: 20
Personality: Dazzling, incorruptible, vain
Current club: Relv Sisse (Solvgaden)
Riccardo Finamore, just like his homonymous fellow teammate, is a romantic magnet for Snestaryan men and women. Unlike R.Cavaliere, though, Finamore lacks the ability to keep himself humble. Despite this, he has maintained a surprisingly long "incorruptible" streak, taking compliments with style and sneaking out of difficult situtation, while at the same time boosting his own perception of himself. He still thinks he's incredibly smart for dodging countless drama, but he's obviously "underestimating his genius", quoting his exact words after a post-match interview.

Midfielders

Nicola Ragusa #6
Age: 20
Personality: compliant, calm, cheerful
Current club: Ardalya
Nicola Ragusa, with his fellow teammate Nicola Acanfora, together make a strange coincidence: both of them are midfielders called Nicola that play for Ardalya as well as the national team. Ragusa is the calmer, more obedient one: he usually follows the managers’ directions and is the one to keep Acanfora in check. Now that he's had his time to get accustomed to the dynamics of the National Team, Ragusa has noticeably become increasingly more cheerful, spending a lot of time messing around with his teammates, especially enjoying visiting the host nations of the tournaments while waiting for the next training session.

Nicola Acanfora #8
Age: 29
Personality: anger issues, rarely smiles, perceptive
Current club: Ardalya
Nicola Acanfora, with his fellow teammate Nicola Ragusa, together make a strange coincidence: both of them are midfielders called Nicola that play for Ardalya, as well as the National Team. Acanfora is the one with anger issues, for sure: he’s not the type to simulate or tackle opponents left and right, but he’s very easily provoked. His style of play reflects that: he likes to take risks and quickly progress play, while he focuses on pressing whenever the Viola is out of possession. Unlike Camilla Arentas, Di Palma holds great faith in Acanfora's playstyle, which is why he's often the preferred option for the centre midfield.

Arminia Cremisi #10
Age: 19
Personality: fragile, shy, sheepish
Current club: Bolenya (Women)
Due to her connections with Camilla Carminya Cremisi, the former President of the Republic, Arminia had always been mocked by Snestaryan media for being a “mommy’s girl” and only playing in the Women’s Division Alpha (the top division in Snestaryan women’s football) because of her aunt’s importance in politics. Due to this, Arminia had always been caught in an unhealthy balance, alternating between school, training for her club Bolenya, and fending off the journalists. However, her debut in the national team seemed to have proven the media wrong: Cremisi's presence has definitely made a difference in the 101th World Cup, and it's likely that it will remain strong for at least a few more years.

Davide Scognamiglio #14
Age: 28
Personality: cheerful, clever, humble
Current club: Lavenya
While Valentino Garnati is the emotional anchor of the Viola, Davide Scognamiglio is the tactical genius. Despite having spent years playing for Bellamora, a club currently battling to escape relegation in Division Alpha, he dictates play like a master, practically choosing the goals himself despite never even reaching the penalty box. He’s strong, clever, and he helps the midfielder prevent the opponent from even reaching the defense. Outside of the pitch, though, Davide is a cheerful and loving man: every day he makes sure to check up on his family, as well as each individual player, making sure none of them are having a mental breakdown from being too bored (a condition which has plagued Snestaryans since the rise of the Socialpacifist party in the 1950s).

Martin de Roux #16
Age: 26
Personality: strong-willed, fair, demanding
Current club: Fraliso
Martin de Roux had always been considered a “failed talent” by the Snestaryan media. In his youth years, he wasn’t able to improve much, apart from playing a few matches with mid-table clubs such as Rivya and Grenna. In recent years, though, he’s been growing immensely, so much that he has found his way to the Starting XI of Fraliso and even started as the captain in the Snestaryan Cup final against Lavenya. Just like Camilla Arentas did, Di Palma now starts him in most of the national team’s matches, knowing he has become a solid player who can become very versatile when needed.

Alessia Flammia #19
Age: 18
Personality: tenacious, grumpy, loyal
Current club: Rosavina (Women)
Alessia Flammia has had a troubled past when it comes to football. After spending her first years in the early departments of Dandelicha Continental's youth academy and getting rejected, she was forced to rely on 2nd division Lipresburgo, who was the only team willing to gamble on her, eventually recognizing her talent and letting her breach into the club's Starting XI. However, after getting resurrected from the depths of the Women's Division Beta by helping Lipresburgo get promoted, Rosavina was quick to snatch her, and give her a ticket to the U-21 National Team. She hasn't managed to link with her teammates, due to her spiky and sometimes mean personality, but she's gradually gaining the confidence needed to play for the Viola.

Fabio de Filippi #20
Age: 26
Personality: friendly, lazy, versatile
Current club: Edervina
Fabio de Filippi gets a surprisingly high amount of playtime in the National Team, despite his lack of impressive results at Gridorya (before Edervina poaching him in the latest transfer window). He’s not the most disciplined player, but at least he gets the job done: whenever there’s a need to replace a right winger and the national team is out of options, he is usually able to demonstrate his versatility to both his club, and the Viola. Still, sometimes he wishes he’d be able to earn the right to start, though the distinct lack of strong Right Midfielders make him the next best option for the position.

Robin Tosio #24
Age: 20
Personality: methodical, ambitious, diligent
Current club: Viktoria Ibsia (Kanzlia)
Another young prospect of the Snestaryan U-21, Robin Tosio has recently started to shine for Viktoria Ibsia, initially starting out as a fringe player after leaving Dandelicha Continental right in the middle of the crisis. His performances, both for his club and the Youth National Team have drastically increased, thanks to his newfound knowledge of the pitch. The path is looking bright for this youngster: will Robin end up as one of the best Snestaryan midfielders of this time?

Nicolò Fusar Bassini #25
Age: 23
Personality: aggressive, creative, quick thinker
Current club: Manaro FC (Bhumi Matawis Empire)
After getting the call from the FSC to join the National Team, back when Snestar was preparing for the WC101 qualifiers, Nicolò F. Bassini was initially going to reject the invite. During his time spend at Venistalya’s academy, he’d grown so fond of offensive football that he’d started to dislike the way Snestaryan clubs play in Division Alpha: Venistalya did help him discover his true potential as a center midfielder with defensive duties (how ironic), though Snestaryan clubs are never too daring. With his transfer to Manaro FC, he has finally come to terms with his stance regarding defensive football, and has renewed his participation for the National Team in the IAC26.

Angelica Malavoglia #26
Age: 25
Personality: VERY hardworking, constantly annoyed
Current club: Edervina (Women)
Angelica's last name has caused her quite a lot of problems, both on and off the pitch. Journalists always joked about how she didn't have the "voglia" to put more effort, but she's since proved them wrong multiple times. After all, she always makes sure everyone knows that she's a true grinder, even if she's always complaining about everything she's tasked to do. She may not be willing to do it, but you can be sure she's going to do it 'til the end.

Attackers

Tero Sjölund #7 (Vice-Captain)
Age: 25
Personality: tireless, laconic, antisocial
Current club: Brantisvogan FC (Squornshelan Remnant States)
Born from immigrants living in the small coastal town of Rovina Sole, Tero Sjölund is a simple man with simple goals: put the ball into the net. He may not be the brightest of the bunch, nor the most eloquent, but he excels at doing the only thing he’s programmed for. His time at Gridorya hasn’t been the most profitable in terms of G/A, so Tero was given the opportunity to join the increasingly dominant Lavenya, after a short detour for Albery FC in Saterun. Still, having joined in the closing moments of Division Alpha, Sjölund resulted as a flop for Lavenya, but that still didn't stop other federations from trying to snatch him into their leagues: hopefully, Sjölund will now finally find his true club in the Squornshelan Remnant States.

Giacomo Martinelli #9
Age: 22
Personality: extroverted, party animal
Current club: Dandelicha Continental
Despite not being the first-choice striker, Giacomo Martinelli is a well-known striker in Snestar, famous for his ability to make the defense tremble at his presence alone and with a power that makes even the strongest hands struggle to save the ball. Outside of the pitch, however, he's much less menacing than people think: Giacomo is just a guy who likes to party. He's usually the one to organize celebrations within the team's private quarters, always bringing large quantities of food and beverages (and probably disobeying some sort of diet).

Mattia Castelletti #11
Age: 18
Personality: Insecure, creative, kind
Current club: Lavenya
One of the Snestaryan U-21 youth team’s key players, along with Barami and Lodigiani, Mattia Castelletti had always seen his talent recognized by the National Team's coaches (Camilla Arentas first, then Di Palma too). So far, Mattia Castelletti has proved to Snestar that he has the potential to make it big, especially after his efforts to bring the Viola to the 101th World Cup, and now that he's transferred to Lavenya, everyone is expecting him to become the next Snestaryan star.

Federico Marchesi #17
Age: 27
Personality: stylish, arrogant, spiteful
Current club: Relv Sisse (Solvgaden)
After Castelletti joined the national team, Federico Marchesi's playtime has been drastically reduced. And just like his old club Lavenya did to him, he'd slowly becoming yet another bench warmer. But he hates being overlooked: after all those years spent playing for big names in Snestaryan football, being demoted from the Starting XI feels like an insult, and now that Trondhelle Stags is giving him the space he deserved, he's returned to the form he'd always sought after (getting the Golden Boot in Solvgaden as well), hoping to finally see his efforts recognized again.

Veronica Lodigiani #18
Age: 21
Personality: quirky, has difficulties speaking, optimistic
Current club: Brega (Women)
Veronica Lodigiani is a short, apparently skinny woman, but she's full of power: with her exceptionally strong left foot, she's got the capacity to finish chances quickly, smoothly, and very consistently, which contributed to her success at Brega's women team. She is eager to learn more about football and improve her abilities in favor of more aggressive football, despite the Snestaryan National Team preferring a more defensive approach.

Lucio Fioravanti #21
Age: 25
Personality: strong-willed, comforting
Current club: Venistalya
As Cesare Scanavino's replacement, both for the National Team and Venistalya, Lucio Fioravanti has definitely felt the burden of having to keep the spot of a player with such a large legacy. However, it's obvious that one doesn't simply become the starter of the Snestaryan champions out of nowhere: Fioravanti's shown exceptional skills when picking up the ball in the right wing, on various different occasions. The real question is: will Baldriga allow him even a lick of playtime?

Elisa Baldriga #27
Age: 21
Personality: Bubbly, sassy, snarky, hedonistic
Current club: Arentas (Women)
This young woman could be described as nothing more than “addicted to goals”: Elisa always hangs out around the opponents’ goalposts, serving as the only forward for her beloved Arentas (a club who currently prefers defensive playstyles), who’s been comfortably sitting at the top of the Women’s Division Alpha, about to claim their 32nd title. Despite her young age, Elisa has already become a club legend, after scoring a goal in the closing minutes of extra time to win the Libertas Cup (a charity match where the winner of the Women’s Division Alpha faces the Men’s Division Alpha, usually taken very seriously as if it was a major trophy), the first won by a female team. So far, Elisa has been influencing the board to include more women in the National Team, seeing as the rapid development of the Women’s league is producing more and more star players.

Basic Info:

Vrasilistan is a nation on the planet of Urseom. Its capital is Ortender, which is the third largest city in the nation; the largest is Raliniar followed by Spartosnor.

Football is the most popular sport in the nation. Vrasilistan is the 3rd best nation at football in Urseom, ahead of the South Cornetian Republic at 4th, and behind only Sernet and Armatonisdaristan, who are joint first. Both of these nations are also competing in the NSWC102, with Armatonistan also making its debut.

Vrasilistan is the joint third Urseomite nation to partake in the NS world cup, with the first two being Sernet and Smoltrendestof, both of which are technically one nation through the Sernetian Empire but have two separate teams. This has been made possible by recent technological advancements allowing for rapid space travel through the gateway system, making it feasible for nations on Urseom to take part in the NS World Cup.

RP Permissions:
Opponents may decide virtually everything, but no godmodding and no violence against Vrasilistan or Vrasilistanis in any way shape or form.

OOC note: Due to irl constraints, I likely won't be RPing on this nation very much since Sernet is my priority.

Busoga Islands National Team

Information
Country code: BUS
Denonym: Busogans/Busoga Islanders/Islanders(Busoga Islanders is the formal term; many Banijans call them Busogans, while locals refer to themselves simply as Islanders, which will be the terminology used by the journalists of this country)
Association: Busoga Islander Soccer Association(BISA)
Manager: Emeline Millet(Ko-oren). 63 years old. Millet has a decorated resume, both at the club level and the international level. For club, it is driving Aminey CS towards success at the club level. At the international level, she brought Valanora all the way to the World Cup Final. While getting let go, the then President of the country, Delbin Kasekende (who was, and remains, in charge of BISA), originally contributed money out of his own pocket to help have a big enough salary pool to pay a manager of her caliber, ahead of World Cup 98 Qualifying. She was to be in charge of a critical three cycles- Kasekende had launched 'Project 100', to make sure the Busoga Islands qualified for its first ever World Cup at World Cup 100. Of course, at World Cup 98, the Busogans had never once been to the World Cup Finals.

Of course, the plan, and the hire, went spectacularly- they stunned the footballing world by Qualifying directly for World Cup 98, Busoga's first ever Qualification- and even making the KO stages while they were at it. While they missed World Cup 99, which was in the neighborhood (Banija/S&T/SRS), they stormed to direct qualification for World Cup 100, and not only went to the knockout stages, but even won a game there- before bowing out in the Round of 16, on penalties. Breaking into the top 20 for the first time, Millet has been extended with a hefty pay raise (no longer coming out of the President's pocket, but from commercial revenue), and her task is simple- find out whatever Busoga's ceiling is in this sport, and smash it to bits.

It turns out, Busoga's ceiling was a hell of a lot higher than anybody could have ever imagined. World Cup 101, they not only went back to the Finals- they slammed down the door, threw away the hinges, and just refused to take no for an answer. At any and every point in the tournament, they kept on winning- getting all the way to Taxhavn for the World Cup 101 Final. One of, if not the singular, most shocking runs to the World Cup Final that this sport has ever seen. Busoga?? Of all teams?? So now, Busoga finds themselves in the top 5. What's the encore at World Cup 102? Will they stumble back down as soon as they rose back up- or will they cement themselves, as a legitimate World Cup contender for the rest of the cycle?

As for Millet's contract status, well, she's basically got a lifetime contract- and they are throwing fistfuls of cash at her.

Senior Assistant Manager: Mustafa Al-Wiz. 52 years old. 1st time for the NT- former senior manager for Lakiska SC for the past 6 seasons. He wanted a new challenge after quite a bit of time at the Busogan club, and they all reached a settlement- club & country. The old senior assistant, Delbin Kasekende Jr., has gone to take on the biggest club job in Banija- Herzegovina City FC.
Captain: Coro Dibahari
Alternate Captain: Abu Sesay

Association Football/Soccer Culture in the Busoga Islands

Map of the Busoga Islands

To get into sporting culture of the country, you first must get into the country's history.

The Busoga Islands, historically, were largely uninhabited. Then, of course, Shia refugees escaping both ethnic and religious persecution in that country escaped from there, and went to the Islands- which were named after their leader, Ayatollah Busoga. A few hundred years of independence, before eventually being subject to a violent takeover by Banija. They were an integral part of Banija- so when Banija was colonized by Quebec, they were as well. And when Banija became independent in 1906, Busoga was considered an integral part of Banija, and went with it. Over 100 years as part of the independent Kingdom of Banija, despite their ethnic and religious composition being vastly different from the Banijan mainland. But a mismanaged drought durign World Cup 80 Qualifying started a famine, which launched the Busogan War for Independence, known abroad as the Banijan-Equestrian War. With asistance from Equestria and Baker Park, military might from their allies achieved their independence from Banija.

Ebrahim Razav was the country's first President, and President Delbin Kasekende, the current President, is the current President- the second President. IN charge for over 20 years, democratically, of course- 4 time election winner. Former NT goalkeeper for both Banija and Busoga, the athlete turned politico is a popular figure in the country. But this history gives them an inferiority complex, sports wise. Banija, their former masters, and neighbor, excelling across sport, while the Busogans can't seem to get anything done. It created a sporting inferiority complex- one that ends up being self-fulfilling.

That leads us to soccer culture, specifically. Association football culture in the Busoga Islands is interesting. It is the second most popular sport in the country, behind cricket- the country's true national sport. The country has never really been known for its sporting prowress- internationally, Busogan teams, no matter the sport, have not done much more than simply fill out numbers in a tournament. Barely a footnote in somebody else's story. Maybe springing an upset or two- who can forget the Busoga Islands upset win, at AOCAF 64, over Valanora? But no trophies, no appearances in Finals, nothing relevant or sustainable built- until, of course, the NSCF. Now, I know what you're thinking- what the hell does college gridiron have to do with the national soccer team?

But it all connects. NSCF 31, the Islamic University of Busoga shows up foer the first time in 10 seasons- there to fill out numbers, get a payday, get rolled by actually relevant teams, and dip. But the opposite happened- the Islamic University of Busoga took the world by storm. They swept the historic Banijan powerhouses of international college football, going 4-0 against the two Banijan schools. They finished as the top team in the regular season, and were, quite literally, one play away from reaching the NSCF Championship game. A hell of a run- coming from literally nowhere, and getting back. Coming back in NSCF 32, and having similar success- showing they are built for this. They are ranked ahead of the two Banijan schools.

Most importantly, though, it served as the hammer to the inferiority complex. The most immediate consequence is the increased popularity of gridiron in the country- now easily the country's third sport. But beyond that, the question became- why can't Busoga compete abroad in other sports? Why not the world's biggest sport- soccer? They are sober about how things are- this small country, without a top-flight team, is not a WC team. But with an expanded WC, and Busogans finally proving themselves on the world stage in sport, they want to get a national team to do so. With the President of the country also the President of BISA, he then announced a return to World Cup Qualifying- and is investing both the time, and the money, to get it done. Expectations were measured, everyone thought that it would take a few cycles to have a legit chance to qualify for the World Cup. But the goals are ambitious- the eldest Kasekende strongly believes that Busogan participation in the Centennial edition of the World Cup is a 'legitimate goal for this country'.

But then, the Busogans stunned not only themselves, but the world at-large- first time back, straight to the Finals.

So the question is, now what? It was a glorious, miraculous run- not only did they get there, but they pulled off the biggest upset of the tournament, defeating the co-host, and top 10 team, Yuezhou, 1-0 in the opening game, which launched them to the knockout stages- which even three-time champions Banija didn't reach. Drunk off of success, they are now back to sober times- the expectations have to be measured again. They are still an underdog, and bombed out not only out of both ARC IV and ARC V, but out of World Cup 99 Qualifying as well- a missed opportunity, with a World Cup in their neighborhood. But they turned the ship around, and then some, at World Cup 100- they destroyed in qualifying, easily finishing top of their group. Not only that- they did the same at the World Cup Finals, with a landmark, 3-1 upset victory in the group stages over former world champions Pasarga, that was the highlight of group play- 7 group stage points, first place in the group, and flying to the knockout stages. They won a game in the Round of 32, before falling on penalties to the eventual World Cup 100 runners-up, Tanirinthia.

Following that, of course, was the miracle run- the miracle of miracles, the dream of dreams, the success of successes. Busoga's miracle run to the World Cup Final- one that shocked basically all observers, including, and especially, local ones. Four straight wins by a singular goal, but all within the 90, during the knockout stages- just so many times,. going into the deep end with the best of the best, and coming out on top. Who can forget the 1-0 battle with the Kytler Peninsulae, in the Round of 32? Or the huge upset over Pasarga in the Round of 16, that opened the door? That match, alongside their quarterfinal against Indusse, and their semifinal against The Holy Empire, they won by the exact scoreline of 3-2 within the 90. All of them. heart-stopping games going down to the final moments- and in all of them, the Busogans grinding them out.

They had a legit shot at winning the whole freaking thing- but the slipper did not fit at Midnight, as Audioslavia, very deservedly, got their fourth star. An ugly final, featuring two own goals- one by Yuran, of Audioslavia, to give Busoga an early 1-0 lead, to a devastating Afassiv Mansur mistake, to draw Audioslavia level at around the hour mark. And a tough, brutal way to go out- Bulls player Parliament-Funkadelic had the ball basically bounce off of his face, and ricochet into the goal. A brutal way for the Busogans to lose a World Cup Final- but that is the nature of the sport. It's true for all goals- if they count, they count the same. And now, the Busogans are back, ranked in the top 5, and primed. Can they make another deep run- solidify themselves as one of the very top teams of this generation? Or was World Cup 101 just a flash in the pan- the team got lucky, had a few good breaks, a bad break at the very end, and then everything goes back to the mean?

The world shall find out, soon enough, at World Cup 102.

The Domestic Football Situation

The domestic football situation in the Busoga Islands is complicated, to say the least. And, to be frank- it was the World Cup 101 run that changed how things operate in the Busoga Islands. This upcoming year, there are 2(!) more expansion teams from the Busogan Islands into the Shango-Fogoa soccer pyramid, leading to a total of 16 professional clubs on these islands, competing in leauges with Banijan teams, and Farf teams. It's fairly simple- although a lot has changed.

This year, for the first time, there are two Busogan clubs in the Shango-Fogoa Premier League- the top tier of the joint league system of Banija, Busoga Islands, and Farfadillis. That is Lakiska SC, and Dukuma SC. It is a new split- 10 Farf teams, 10 Banijan teams, and 2 Busogan teams- who are still considered Banijan for IFCF purposes, but for the first time, have their own category for S-FPL purposes. It was critical. The Busogans previously, by right, had the ability to have 4 teams in the top two tiers- the S-FPL at the top, the BSL as the 2nd tier. But, now, they will be guaranteed 6 clubs- and have two teams in the S-FPL for the first time in the 25 season history of the league.

So that means, if you have been counting- 2 Busogan teams in the top tier at the S-FPL, 4 more Busogan teams in the second tier, at the BSL.

And then, the Busogan National League- at the third tier of the Banijan soccer pyramid, the regional league level. This is just teams competing in Busoga, and this is 10 teams- including the two expansion teams, who of course, have to start at the very bottom of the pyramid.

Jerseys

MANAGERIAL STAFF
Manager: Shiloh Morgenstern
The first World Cup qualifying campaign had the Knights make the playoffs. They obviously came up against a wall that they could not compete with but along the way they managed to defeat the top two teams in their group and if they had any way of beating the rest of the teams in the group with some solid consistency they may have had a chance to avoid the playoffs or get a more favorable matchup. That said the national team is not an easy job and while many would not expect a quick shot at qualifying, the idea of being a former World Cup player and a future World Cup Manager likely drives Shiloh to the top.

GOALKEEPERS

1 – Ward Sheridan – Real Atlantea 26 Caps, 20 Years Old
A rather solid first go as the main guy for the national team had many wondering what this young keeper could have in his future. The Copa Rushmori and the Cup of Harmony had not only him but the rest of the team come crashing back down to earth. It may be a long road ahead for the side as while they had a good run their first go, it is often the second season that can lead to years of slumps in the grueling campaigns that world cup qualifiers tend to be,

12 – Max Fischer – Yenvil Town FC 1 Cap, 30 Years Old
The backup got his one cap for the team at the Copa Rushmori in the last game after the side was knocked out and that will be something he likely holds on to for his entire life.

24– Adam Myers – Yaton FC 1 Cap, 26 Years Old
Myers got his lone cap in the Cup of Harmony once again after the team was knocked out and much like Max Fischer he has one surprising win in a dead rubber to his name.

DEFENDERS
4 - CB, Trevor Thompson - Real Atlantea 26 Caps, 1 Goal, 31 Years Old
A rather solid display in the last qualifiers from Thompson who continues to be a very strong presence in the middle of the four, but this is likely his second and last shot at going to a World Cup. He has the height and the ability to score, but he isn't the most agile and he isn't really around the team for his passing ability.

10- RB, Mitchell Nguyen - Mierton Manatees 26 Caps, 18 Years Old
The young backline start Nguyen is from a famous family of soccer players in Taeshan and he has already made a strong case to join others from Mierton in going on to make an impact somewhere in the international club scene. He will continue to be a strong full back who goes both ways and could be once again playing for a chance to play away from Taeshan.

20 - CB, Isaiah Walker - Bayern-Algaer 0 Caps, 26 Goals, 1 Goal, 27 Years Old
One of the more brilliant moves that was almost a great success for the managerial staff was going with experience in the spine. Isaiah Walker is the more agile of the two defenders but has matched his partner in international goals. He does a lot of the clean-up work that the Fullbacks and Horatio Cuevas do not deal with.

23 - LB, Elijah Santiago – Laketown Rangers, 26 Caps, 1 Goal, 21 Years OldVICE-CAPTAIN
The son of former National team Captain, Santiago, Elijah has made a name for himself and much like his father is looking for a move to greener international pastures. That move has not arrived yet but he continues to be an incredibly attacking left back creating many chances and is one of the key cogs in the counter-attack offensive for the Purple Knights.

3 – Dion Campbell – X Island Marauders, 6 caps, 27 Years Old
Not exactly the most exciting defneder on the bench Campbell is a capable defender of the bench and could really Kill a game in the center of the park with his ability to clear and defend balls in the air.

5 - Rowan MacDonald - Blacklake Blues, 8 Caps, 20 Years Old
The main young full back and possible future center back option once the other center backs retire is Macdonald. He is mostly a full back but his international future may be at Center Back with the age of the starting defense.

19- Cameron Kipers – Mierton Manatees, 8 Caps, 25 Years Old
Some players you look at are just happy to be included and many look at Kipers as the sort of glue guy that a competitive team in an international qualifiers need. Unfortunately for him he is the glue guy on a relatively youthful and recently re-started national team.

21 - Eden Foster – Real Chinchinhua 12 Caps, 0 Goals, 24 Years Old
The other Fullback on the bench.

MIDFIELDERS

6- CDM, Horatio Cuevas – Capetown Crocs 26 Caps, 1 Goal, 25 Years old CAPTAIN
The Captain of the national team almost led his team to a title in the Taeshan Premier League but much like the Purple Knights he fell short of getting Capetown Crocs to their first league title. He was a capable ball winner and where he really makes his mark for this team is knowing where the ball is going. Obviously the Knights are not quite what they were decades ago, but given a few years he might really start looking like a very solid international defensive midfielder.

8 - RM, Ignacio Salmon – Mierton Manatees 26 Caps, 2 Goals, 22 Years Old
On the right side of the midfield their is a very solid midfielder known for swimming between the opposition and finding ways to create chances for his forwards. Salmon helped his club team win the first title back for the TPL, but since then the Manatees have not been quite as competitive and while many on this team have ties to Mierton, that may not be a bad thing as this team grows into its newfound competition.

14- LM, Tobias – 1093 Club de Football Altantea, 26 Caps, 3 Goals, 18 Years Old
Another young starter is the left footed midfielder Tobias who has managed to look very strong in his time with the national team. Tobias is a classic 8 with strong defensive abilities but he has also shown an ability to finish which is something you love to see out of a young true midfielder. He will eat a lot of minutes and do a lot of the dirty work so that Salmon and Ying Uing can help in the attack.

20 – CAM, Ethan Ying Uing – Bayern Phoenix 26 Caps, 2 Goals, 18 Years Old
The third Ying Uing to play for the national team, Ethan has chosen a different number than his father and grand-father. He so far has chosen a similar position to them and many see him more as a creative player than Brian or Lysander ever was. He has been a key part of making the pass before the pass and has shown an ability to strike when needed, if not always the most sensationally.

7 - Eion Clinton - New Capetown Falcons 10 Caps, 25 Years Old
A strong defensive midfielder.

13 – Harrison Vanguard – Fadrön Flight 7 Caps, 27 Years Old
Vanguard has been a really good 8 type for his team and is likely to see the field in late game chances to clog the field and help his team create more quick counter attacks.

15- Jasper Likely – Al Haxire 11 Caps, 24 Years Old
Likely has shown a strong ability to see the field and has featured in almost half of the games since the return. He is not the flashiest of midfielders, but he does a good job.

16 – Peyton Jesperson – Bayern Phoenix 10 Caps, 20 Years Old
Possibly the main attacking midfielder off the bench.

22 – Alexander Pterasheim – Wolfin Wolves, 19 Caps, 1 Goal, 20 Years Old
The real 12th man on this team. Pterashiem has only not seen the field 7 times and most of those are in completely gone games one way or the other. He has already seem one of his sides relegated from the TPL and many wonder if he will soon be looking to move international in a hopeful attempt to push towards taking one of the spots in the lineup more permanently.

STRIKERS

2 - LS, Jordan Tyson - Laketown Rangers 26 Caps, 4 Goals, 29 Years Old
Another strong choice when building the new national team was tall forward Jordan Tyson. Sometimes you just need a blunt object. And sometimes when you shove a square into a circle for 80 minutes for 10 straight games that square eventually pushed through.

9 - RS, Carter Ardeau – Wolfin Wolves 26 Caps, 7 Goals, 20 Years Old
Ardeau is the lightning to Tyson's thunder. He has the speed, he has the moves and he has the more goals. Now as is to be expected nobody on this team is scoring a lot of goals but Ardeau does a good job at scoring when he has his chances.

11-LS, Noah Rinaldi – Atlantea Hurricanes 10 Caps, 2 Goals, 24 Years old
A strong speedy type on the bench that has been known to make a team pay when the Knights are controlling a game late, or as is most usually true punishing a team trying way to hard to equalize.

17 – Arthur McGlintock- Mierton Manatees 8 Caps, 18 Years Old
McGlintock has seen the least time of the four forwards but he is the youngest and is the most like Tyson. He has a lot more ability on the ball and is more than just a big guy, but that hasn't lead to his first goal for the national team yet.
