Since marketing itself is a Russian nesting doll of scams and confidence tricks aimed at corporations and, in this case, politicians, it of course fails routinely and completely at actually capturing what people believe. It’s a political-ideological ‘Morbius’ movie.
The people that identify with it also pretty uniformly don’t actually believe in anything other than a sort of grinning Terminator skull of naked ‘technocracy’, where they in that consultancy-think tank-wonk industrial complex get to keep their party going for themselves indefinitely, without having the messy business of people’s actual politics or lived experiences getting in the way.

Beh, centrism not always is against the most extreme ideologies, also it is common. Type 4 for example wouldn't be against, at least not a lot.

I think the problem is that centrist politicians just represent a compromise between two unpopular political groupings. People who don't identify with either are often negatively polarized against both (or at least many of the aspects that centrists tend to adopt from them), and partisans will naturally reject any compromise with their sworn enemies, so centrism (or at least what the label is usually applied to) is unappealing to almost everyone in this political environment.

Yeah. The center status quo (neoliberal globalism) is highly divisive these days.
