The flag of Descentia'O'Aileronia / Athenia. Odd, unique, and interesting (I HOPE). The symbol of cooperation, scientific progression and regression, and the national religion of Lateralism; it's also the symbol for the metamatter Lateralium / Saturnesium. In the DOA's eyes, the symbol represents Saturnes Lateralos, the goddess of redemption, knowledge, respect, and existence—with no correlation to Saturn in ancient Roman religion. She is seen as the god who brought redemption to those who faltered and chose to find life underground after a physical catastrophe burned the world to ash. She gave everyone who survived a second chance at life above ground and guided those who were redeemed to what was once sydney is east australia; but many decades later now its reffered to as Aileron, the capital of the DOA.

In (pseudo)science theory, however, the meta-element Saturnesium is a hyperphysical crystal that can do a range of things, but must be "tamed" first, as Saturnesium is also extremely volatile and "violent." It can be used for highly precise object replication, matter manipulation, matter disintegration, as well as many other physics-breaking and pseudoscientific properties. It's highly sought after, as it's not found on Earth.

This is my play on the philosophy of "Agnostic Theism" for my world's lore. There are actually 3 other pseudo-materials in the lore, such as Daeglarium / Darkmatter, Quanium / Spirilium, and Rosenthalium / Thaosium. In order, Saturnesium / Lateralium sits between Dark Matter and Spirilium in rarity. Saturnesium is classified as a Sigma Class Material, which means its half and half Violent (reactive) and half Inert (non-reactive). The Workers' Champions are a unit of genetically enhanced GBI-2 (GeneTech Banana Infantryman - Type 2) special operatives who employ cutting-edge equipment developed from extraterrestrial Symyano technology. Their enhanced abilities have plenty of applications, and their uniforms themed after the flag make them ideal propaganda icons. Camouflage is for cowards - on the battlefield, the Workers' Champions are the unbeatable, unmissable brand ambassadors for the Rhanukhani regime. Every Champion is accompanied by an armoured AI hover-drone continuously blasting a high-tempo, inspiring version of the national anthem - rich with the iconic Dhunhorns and synthetic beats - serving as their personal hype-crew, disorienting enemies, and pumping up the local populace. Anybody expecting standard military jargon is in for a surprise. Having been supplied by a branch of Rhanukhan's largest commercial concern - Malachite Evolving Enterprises - corporate buzzwords and slogans are a key element of GBI-2 training, resulting in battle-cries of "Invest in your future - surrender now!" or "This sector is under new management!" These heroes are a very public expression of the cult of personality that has come to surround His Resplendence, the Supreme Chairman, and the citizens love them. Murals and statues are common, always depicting the Champions in heroic poses - propelling themselves into the sky or holding up collapsing mine shafts - with the national motto, "Our hands toil that our hearts may dance!" painted in glowing, reflective orange letters beneath them. Movies and TV shows featuring their fictionalised adventures and missions are widely enjoyed, and children play with action figures of their favourite members of the team.

There is conspiracy that the Huaxian government has created near-supernatural shape-shifting living superweapons of superhuman feat called Shiguais (士怪) through the use of hyper-advanced genetic re-engineering, giving soldiers unsurpassed abilities that allow them to easily decimate entire enemy forces. There are said to be three types of shiguai supersoldiers: bianguai (变怪), which is described as deadly shapeshifting beings of nearly limitless potential, power and destruction that can manipulate its own biomass to perform incredible feats from augmenting their already incredible physical capabilities to reconstructing body parts into deadly weapons, as well as consume its victim's biomass and take the physical form of said victim while gaining its memory; nianguai (念怪) which is also described as a deadly shapeshifting being but with transparent telekinetically-controlled arms that have the power to manipulate and cut objects within its reach; zhanguai (战怪), a deadly shapeshifting being of nearly limitless potential, power and destruction that feeds on the living biomass of its victims. According to the conspiracies, these shiguais are made entirely out of a highly-variable dark-composition of mutation-cells that allows for the consumption of any and all biomass, regardless if dead or alive, clean or infected. Not only that, the immense superhuman feats of these shiguais, which are leaps and bounds beyond that of any human being, allows them to easily obliterate enemy troops alone, effectively acting as a one-man superhuman supernatural army. Shiguais are also said to be capable of infecting ordinary humans, turning entire crowds of victims into a giant rushing biomass wave of worthless easily-disposable cannon-fodder meat puppets to wash away enemy forces like a tsunami of flesh and torment. Despite the popularity of these conspiracies in social discourse, the government strongly denies the existence of shiguai supersoldiers.

Being the successor polity to the People's Republic of China, Huaxia was established on October 1st, 2034, basically on the 85th anniversary of the proclamation of the People's Republic of China in 1949. As a result, National Day in Huaxia remains unchanged, except now, National Day military parades are held every 5 years instead of 10 years. Although it is observed on October 1st, another six days are added to the official holiday, normally in lieu of the two weekend breaks around October 1st, making it a de facto public holiday comprising seven consecutive days also known as Golden Week with specifics regulated by the State Council. If Mid-Autumn Festival is near National Day, the Golden Week may be 8 days long instead. National Day in Huaxia is celebrated with a variety of festivities, including city skyline light-shows, 3D-volumetric fully-automated drone displays, colorful fireworks, and various concerts, as well as sports events and cultural events. A flag-raising ceremony is held in many cities across Huaxia, although in Beijing it is not held during a year with an anniversary parade at Tiananmen Square. The 6 am National Day flag-raising ceremony is an important event for October 1st. The city of Haiwei is often nicknamed "The Paranoia Capital of Dacarbatia". The reason behind the nickname is due to the city being located next to Lee Shan, Dacarbatia's biggest rival in Teryana. Due to tensions between the two countries, a study conducted by the University of Chandrapur found out that 58% of Haiwei's population faced severe fear and worry of a Leeshanese attack or invasion of the city, especially if tensions between Dacarbatia and Lee Shan have escalated into a full-scale war. In 2002, when the two countries fought in the border, the Mayor of Haiwei has declared a state of emergency in the districts of Taesong and Mulyang, which bordered Lee Shan, fearing that the districts will fell victim to Lee Shan's attacks. In response to the state of emergency, Dacarbatian President, Choi Min-jun has deployed 1,500 soldiers to the districts of Taesong and Mulyang to prevent a possible Leeshanese skirmish in the city.

In 2018, a Dacarbatian political scientist, Kim Young-jae have earned the city's nickname as the "Paranoia Capital of Dacarbatia", saying that Haiwei's location near a Dacarbatian rival has caused fear and worry for Haiwei's population, due to a possible attack or invasion by Lee Shan in a hypothetical full-scale conflict between the two countries. This nickname caused backlashed across Haiwei, as most of its population have little to no worry about the city's future, and that Dacarbatia and Lee Shan have also started negotiations to prevent attacks in populated areas near the border, which includes not only the city of Haiwei, but also the city of Digi, Hamachagar, and small towns and villages scattered in the Dacarbatia-Lee Shan border.
