Described variously as ‘infrastructure smut’’ or ‘Epcot for bros’, or perhaps how a permanent olympic village might look once the athletes had got it all out of their damned system, the animals. Koroa City is a permanent exhibition of Anaian culture. It’s the region’s foremost tourism destination. A paradise, of sorts, on an island in the Ocean of Ayes.
Most importantly for us in NS Sport, K.C. is a cultural centre for Anaian sports from Handball to Hockey, Foxsal to Footy, Coo Runnings to Cricket Boxing, 0GRES to Octopush. If you have a school team in any sport, the chances are they're competing for a chance to travel to Koroa City to pit their wits against the region's best.
Koroa City receives funding from every nation in Anaia - some giving millions, others promising a tray of cookies and a pat on the back - and uses it to create the idealised version of Coney Island your grandfather claims to remember, but with sports facilities instead of a ferris wheel that will almost certainly kill you. The money has built a football stadium here, a multi-sport arena there, an ice rink here, a ten kilometre zero gravity racing test oval there.
This thread is for Anaian sports worldbuilding of and in Koroa City, along with multi-associational domestic football and regional sports competitions that are too big for national newswires but perhaps not big enough to warrant their own thread.
Any worldbuilding you do with regards to how your nation interacts with Anaia or its various sporting events - from cricket tests to cultural exhibitions to advances in anti-gravity technology - can go into this thread, whether it’s crossposted from another competition or written especially for one of the thread’s competitions.
To sign up for any of the competitions in this section, simply click on the tournament logo and follow the instructions therein.
