Per Rhodeve tradition, the highest position in Rhodeve government, is the monarch of the country who acts as head of state and head of government. Per tradition, the lowest position in Rhodeve government, is the official translator to the monarch. the official translator is an elected position and one which has been around since the first Rhodeve monarch in 1845. It is a position that a member of the house of commons votes on, raising one of their own to this position.

It is a satirical position as their job is to translate the three official languages of Rhodevus for the monarch, so that when discussions take place in the house, the monarch can follow along. It is satirical because every single monarch outside the first has been trilingual in the official languages, and the role has become one in which the official translator is obligated to 'make fun' of the monarch in some way during heated moments. It is almost like a clown or jester, whom is allowed to make fun of the monarch and their positions. As the official translator is also a respected member of the house of commons and an elected official, this position is more traditional and 'jokey' than others, and it is considered an honour to be elected as so.
