For my country, the answer to this question (in my opinion) was the Boiler Revolution of 1687-1689 and the 1990s.

The Boiler Revolution was a civil war that ravaged Galatium during the Enlightenment. The civil war was inspired by the English Civil War. The cause of the war was civilians (known as the “Boilers”) questioning was the current monarch at the time, Arion I, power, and if it was actually legitimate. Arion I not only abused his power, but he also executed those who questioned his rule (often publicly) and burned much scientific books, which set Galatium back decades scientifically. I won’t go into full detail about the war, but basically The Boilers, led by Nico Alexakis assaulted those who supported the monarchy and committed acts of terrorism. Eventually, they were put down by the Scums (an informal fighting group of loyal Galatians whose name was given by the Boilers) and the Galatian military.

During the 1990s, technology started to boom in Galatium. The economy became greatly centred this industry, and the Galatium grew exponentially due to this. The country launched a probe to the Moon (ΣεληνιακόΕλάφι, or LunarStag) and this time period shaped Galatium into the technology-heavy country that it is today. The large welfare safety net created in the 1950s was still present, and the country continued to experience eco-consciousness in its citizens.

Kind of a difficult question to answer since Huaxia is literally China and Chinese civilization has a long history spanning thousands of years. The worst period in Chinese history would definitely be the Century of Humiliation though. European imperialism is in of itself a historical anomaly stemming from the collapse of the Roman Empire to the expansion of Germanic barbarian tribes, and all the way to the Turkic Ottomans taking control of Anatolia away from the Greeks and cutting off Europe's access to the Silk Road, thus kicking off European colonialism across the Global South. For China, the Qing Dynasty becoming corrupt and incompent wasn't an anomaly but interference from outside forces only made the situation worse, although it did help put an end to thousands of years of monarchism in China.

As for the best times, there's way too many golden ages from Chinese history to list. Unlike the Century of Humiliation, China being a global superpower has always been the norm throughout history. The periods of the Western Han, the Tang, the Northern Song, and the Ming are considered to be the most well-known golden ages in Chinese history. The Chinese economic boom of the late 2000s also kickstarted another golden age for Chinese history, which would ultimately culminate with the collapse of the former United States under Supreme Leader Donald J. Trump and his MAGA Front, as well as the establishment of the People's Republic of Huaxia on October 1, 2034. Since then, the Zhonghua Minzu is currently experiencing another era of prosperity, even while the rest of world is swamped in chaos and destruction due to centuries of geopolitical and economical shenanigans.

Being a successor polity to the People's Republic of China (which itself is a superpower), Huaxia is not only a world power but also a hyperpower ever since the former United States collapsed under the dictatorship of Supreme Leader Donald J. Trump and his MAGA Front, along with the Second American Civil War. Huaxia is renowned for being a world-leading juggernaut in economics, manufacturing, and technology. In particular, Huaxia strongly emphasizes the absolute importance of technology as a form of hard-power. In particular, prestigious universities in Huaxia such as Tsinghua University, Peking University, Fudan University, Harbin Institue of Technology, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Northwestern Polytechnical University, University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and University of Science and Technology of China, not only rank the highest in global index for higher education but also dominate in STEM research as well. Plus, Huaxia has the largest army of scientists and engineers in the world, graduating more STEM students annually than any other nation. As for manufacturing, since Huaxia is the successor to the PRC (which itself already leads in manufacturing), the nation is the global engine for manufacturing, with an industrial base several times larger than that of the entire west combined, thus being an unmatched industrial giant that is responsible for manufacturing high-quality cost-affordable products for the entire world. Militarily, the National People's Armed Forces of Huaxia is the most powerful in the world, being the most technologically-advanced thanks to Huaxia's dominance in science and technology. Thus, the NPAF operates a vast array of technologically-advanced bleeding-edge weaponry and equipment that ensures full-dominance overmatch against all opponents. All cold-war era weaponry have already been decommissioned years ago while the overwhelming majority of weapons currently in service with NPAF date back to the 2010s, 2020s, and 2030s. Apart from that, NPAF also operates several thousands of overseas military bases across the Global South, thus help securing Huaxia's trade routes and national interests abroad. All in all, Huaxia being a geopolitical juggernaut does not differ from that of early Chinese dynasties such as the Western Han, the Tang, the Song, or the Ming during their golden ages.

Our Motherland is soaked with the blood of the brave and courageous martyrs who risked everything just to lay the solid foundation of harmony and prosperity for their children and descendants to enjoy. The Zhonghua Minzu has gone through thousands of years of existence, and we will continue to exist for several thousands of years more. Now, we look up towards the Heavens as we set sail towards the cosmic ocean, riding our divine vessels as we continue to make scientific and technological progress the same way our ancestors did thousands of years back. Make no mistake. We are a resilient civilization. Barbarians who have stood in our way, such as the Xirong, the Nanman, the Guifang, the Xianyun, the Xiongnu, and the Eastern and Western Turkic Khaganates, have all been relegated to the dustbins of history. Yet, the Zhonghua Minzu still contines to thrive.

Koragrad's best era was in the years following its unification under President Fyodr Lisaun, from 2201 to 2289. During this time, Koragrad's economy saw huge foreign investment and lucrative trade deals that turned the planet from a fragile alliance of city-states into one of the strongest Outer Colonies in the Galactic West. There was little to no conflict, apart from a year-long campaign against Tomas Ober's pirate fleet, which ended in an overwhelming Koragradian victory. This era was known as the "Era of Prosperity" in the wider Confederation of United Systems, of which Koragrad was a part, and the "Champagne Age" in Koragrad. However, in 2289, this golden age abruptly ended after a group of radical revolutionaries rose up against the central government in the hope of achieving greater autonomy for the colonies. Though it was put down successfully, the ramifications and tensions this caused would signal the end of the Champagne age.

The worst era in Koragrad was the period following the economic collapse known as the Great Crash, from 2328 to 2333. After the Great Crash in 2327, Koragrad's economy was completely destroyed, and standards of living fell greatly. Even worse, President William Grigorivich's Three Point Plan to save the economy only made the situation worse, and Koragrad became the single worst-affected planet in the entire Confederation. This was only the beginning of Koragrad's troubles, as in 2332, Field Marshal Louis Verendrake launched a military coup and seized power. This led to the Koragradian Civil War, between the newly-formed Commonwealth, and the loyalists to the old Republic. The planet, already dealing with extreme poverty and unemployment, was suddenly thrust into a brutal conflict, in which around 60,000,000 people, many of whom were civilians. The economy only began to recover after the victorious Commonwealth had eliminated all opposition with a series of vicious purges.

I like to think that we have not yet seen the best days of our country.

From its inception, Kamogia existed as an extraction colony ruled by a foreign elite. The nation was built upon brutal inequality, racism, chauvinism, slavery, and settler-colonial violence. At the time, the country was known as Capitania de Ferrabrás, named after the Bigtopian merchant who supposedly "discovered" the land around the year 1500.

Things began to change during the 1950s with the Kamogian Revolution led by Ernesto Il Sung. Following the revolution, the nation was officially renamed Kamogia, restoring the country's original native name and symbolizing a break from its colonial past.

The decades that followed were harsh. Famine, civil war, economic hardship, and foreign intervention threatened the very survival of the young republic. For many observers, the collapse of the revolution appeared inevitable. Yet even in the darkest moments, the determination of the Kamogian people never wavered. Faith in the revolutionary project endured, and after nearly half a century of struggle, the country finally began to achieve lasting stability.

Through decades of industrialization, military development, and resistance against repeated acts of imperialist sabotage, the People's Republic of Kamogia gradually secured a degree of economic security, national sovereignty, and social stability once thought impossible.

In truth, it has only been within the last twenty years that Kamogia reached a level of development comparable to the leading nations of the Leftist Assembly. Today, the country stands on the threshold of becoming a global superpower.

As Kamogia's economic and military strength continues to grow, the people are increasingly shedding the old colonial mentality and embracing a more progressive and confident national identity. The nation remains governed by the People's Committee, whose ultimate objective is the achievement of universal social welfare and prosperity for all citizens.

For most of Kamogia's history, those ambitions were constrained by scarcity and survival. Only recently has the republic acquired the resources necessary to pursue them fully.

That is why I believe the greatest chapter of Kamogian history still lies ahead of us.

The darkest chapter in our history was during our fascist rule during the 1930s and 1940s. Genocide, murders, a militarizing company, and liberties and human rights were being silenced. All the mean while people were being left behind, with high costs, increasing income inequality, to make the nation look golden. And even then, the country sent millions to be shredded by the Americans during WW2. Sure, Cascadia was reduced to rubble, but there were whispers of hope.

These days are the best chapter in our country. A growing economy, a government that cares for it's citizens, with top-notch infrastructure and healthcare, and a diversifying country, that's as progressive as so many other countries. What's not to love?

Best: The present, as we continue to prosper and progress

Worst: June 7, 1967

By placing explosives in an underground tunnel dug months prior, terrorists manage to blow up an entire neighborhood in the nation's capital of San Rio, leaving around 1,000 deaths, 3,000 injuries, and billions in property damage

This incident is why Kuromistanis consider "six seven" insensitive/offensive as opposed to a joke/meme - it is equivalent to the real life "nine eleven", a grim and dreadful reminder of the day evil descended upon the nation they live in and love

The reputation of the number 67 in Kuromistan has also been severely damaged by the incident, even for people who weren't alive to witness it - skyscrapers typically omit the 67th floor, streets don't have a house numbered 67, and even some people either skip celebrating their 67th birthday or just put something else, like "66+1", on their cake

Probably our worst time is when we were literally just separating from Yugoslavia; the Yugoslav-Sectiyeran war. It was a bloody hellscape, lasting from 1932 until Axis forces reached the Balkans during WW2 (We kicked the SS troops' asses and whooped them right outta the Balkans).

Best time? Arguably the Economic Boom of the 1980s. Western business were flooding into Sectiyera like crazy back then, creating huge amounts of jobs.

The worst times were probably during both civil wars and WW2. And our best times were during the periods of 1692–1778 when we were in relative peace. The "Formosan Golden Age" of 1889–1903, which was after the first Japanese invasion and during our Industrial Revolution. And our modern period (1970–) of peace and stability for the most part.

The worst time: PES rule. President Executive System was the sentient AI ruling Polania for 25 years between 76 and 51 years ago. It reduced the people under its rule to resources, test subjects, and nothing more: The fields of computing, mind-machine interfacing and bioengineering have leaped enormously under its rule, paid for in blood and dehumanization of millions.

The best time conversely, is the Adoration Crusade. As destructive and deadly as this 3 year war of the coalition of Polanian emigres and insurgents, against PES and its slaves, it was a time of unprecedented optimism and unity of purpose, sufficiently strong and enhanced by the Empress's dreams and psychically influenced to become mythologised. Life was harsh and uncertain, but the dignity of the people's lives, even if cut short, was assured. After the triumph, with the Empress's visions fading and human greed kicking in, the material conditions and infrastructure improved at a breathtaking pace, but the psychological/spiritual well-being of the nation went on a slow decline, partly defiled by corporate and personal greed, partly by compromises and accommodations to maintain and develop the same technologies that were used to oppress Polanians into the backbone of their technological power, partly as the inevitability of coming down from the high of Adoration Crusade.

The worst time was when Queen Yocasta the First’s daughter died, causing the Queen to go slightly insane and force other girls to take on the role, having one or two of them executed for not being like her original daughter. One of them escaped, rebelled, took over as Queen and let out the political prisoners, and accidentally released all the criminals, using years of chaos.

The best time was a few years ago when the racist laws were repealed.

Best: Present

Worst: Safiloa, unfortunately has been invaded numerous times. By the Omanis, Portuguese, Dutch, French, Pirates, and British. However, the worst was when Safiloa was invaded by its ally.

The year is 927, Abu Tahir Al-Jannabi led the Qarmatian state that almost took Baghdad from the Abbasid Caliphate. Meanwhile, Safiloa due to shared theological beliefs such vegetarianism, becomes a trading partner to the Qarmatian state. However, tensions quickly begin to grow due to the Qarmatian state’s decision to partake in the East African slave trade. Safiloa - despite its strong stance against slavery - continues to trade with the Qarmatians - as there were at the time so few trade opportunities, a decision that the Safiloans would regret. Al-Jannabi visited Ponaiga in 929, but proceeded to kidnap a teenaged Safiloan prince, thinking him to be the Mahdi. This child was given the name Abu'l-Fadl al-Isfahani and was stated as being rescued as a prisoner from Isfahan in Iran. In 931, Abu Tahir Al-Jannabi granted the sovereignty of the Qarmatian state to the kidnapped Safiloan youth, who quickly responded by rejecting all aspects of Islam. He burned Islamic holy books, criticised Mohammad and Islam, and began instructing the Qarmatians to adhere to his native Mazdakism.

Within three months, Abu Tahir Al-Jannabi regretted his actions and murdered al-Isfahani with the support of the Qarmatian warrior class who feared the Mazdakites’ pacifism.

The Qarmatians then attacked Safiloa and blamed Safiloa for having corrupted their would-have-been Mahdi. The Safiloans fled to the mountains and resorted to sabotaging of Qarmatian trade routes, while the Qarmatians began raiding, pillaging, and enslaving the pacifist Safiloans. Eventually, the Qarmatian state would be destroyed, after having inflicted thousands of deaths and having enslaved thousands.

The Qarmatian warrior class who forced Safiloa to be very isolationistic and autarkic from the 930’s up until 1498, with the arrival of Vasco da Gama and the Portuguese crown - when the Safiloans were again forced to deal with another maritime power.

[Dravanian Communes]

Worst time: The Great Depression and the final years of the Kingdom of Dravania.

The worst period in Dravanian history is generally considered to be the Great Depression and the years immediately preceding the Revolution of 1936. By that point, the Kingdom of Dravania had become a deeply unequal industrial state, with enormous wealth concentrated among industrial elites, landlords, and oligarchic interests while much of the working population lived in poor conditions.

The Depression devastated Dravania’s industrial economy. Mines, factories, rail works, and export industries declined sharply, unemployment rose, wages collapsed, and many urban workers were left dependent on local charity, informal labour, or political organizations for survival. Rural regions also suffered heavily, especially communities already tied to debt, poor infrastructure, and declining agricultural prices.

The crisis exposed the weakness of the monarchy and the old political order. Attempts at reform were limited, slow, and often seen as protecting the same elites blamed for the collapse. Strikes, demonstrations, food riots, workplace occupations, and armed clashes became increasingly common as revolutionary councils, worker defence groups, and regional movements gained support.

In Dravanian memory, the Great Depression is not remembered only as a financial crisis, but as the period when the old kingdom lost its legitimacy. It created the conditions that led directly to the Revolution of 1936 and the eventual formation of the Confederacy of Dravanian Communes.

Best time: The post-reform stabilization period.

The best period is more debated, but many Dravanians would point to the decades following the economic reforms of the 1990s. After years of stagnation and internal unrest, the legalization of worker-owned enterprises and cooperatives helped transform Dravania into a mixed communal-cooperative economy. The service sector expanded, industry modernized, public transport improved, and living standards rose across much of the confederacy.

This period did not erase Dravania’s problems, especially the gap between wealthy industrial communes and poorer rural regions, but it produced a more stable, livable, and economically adaptable version of commune system that could keep pace with modern capitalist economies. For many citizens, it represents the point where the Confederacy stopped holding on to the legacy of revolution and began functioning as a mature industrial society.

Worst Time: Ochre Revolution. The entire country went to shit.

Best Time: Now. The economy is booming very greatly.

Worst Time: 1940-1943 we were under German Occupation. The exploited our huge iron reserves giving the people virtually nothing. Even though Hitler considered the Nordeyarian People Aryan, they refused to collaborate so he exploited the population. 9% of Nordeyar's population died during the occupation to suspected people being Partistans real Partisans kills and death in work place.

Best Time: The self rule act of 1983 giving us significant autonomy over denmark and letting us control most of our Foreign affairs and all of internal affairs also granting us a UN seat. This begun Nordeyar's Economic Boom

[Far Harbor]

Far Harbor's worst time was probably in the early 2160s, right as it was being founded. tribal groups and raiders saw easy pickings in a nation that had just been born, and arrived in the thousands, often fighting each other as much as Far Harbor. additionaly, a rogue US army AI was kidnapping citizens in order to experiment on them.

Far Harbor's best time is probably the present. the government has figured itself out, we no longer have to rely on mercenaries for a fighting force, and trade has begun with friendly tribals and other nations.

[Kewelsburg]

Kewelsbürg's worst period is generally agreed to be its Nazi occupation from 1940 up until 1944/45. Many civilians were killed or forced into labour camps, and most rebellion attempts, whilst valiant, often ended in catastrophic failure for those involved.

Kewelsbürg's best period was its Second Golden Age of the late 80's up until around the dotcom crash of 2000, characterised by a prospering economy and an influx of media, art and literature from the country gaining popularity in other Western countries.

[British Rangoon]

The worst times of the civilizations of Burma, is ironically, the British and the Japanese Occupations, as they killed many Burmese people in genocides and left the Burmese people to starve. However, for Burma, the Konbaung Dynasty's corruption and incompetence was the norm, yet outside interference made it quite worse. Opium also was very popular at those times, as estimates suggest that around five to seven percent of the population were addicted to opium and other opioids. A failure of crops in most of Burma around that time period also added more fuel to the fire, as more and more coastal peoples turned to piracy, and more had to turn to piracy to survive. Along with that, a popular revolt against KIng Mindon was brutally crushed, as it's supporters sniffed out and hanged in the city squares. Popular support for the monarchy and the king started to wane, fast and people started to speak of a revolution. All until the first Anglo-Burmese War crushed Burma, further fueling more rage against the monarchy, and then the second Anglo-Burmese War was incredibly botched by the Konbaung Dynasty, as more concessions were granted to the British. The third Anglo-Burmese War annexed Burma into the British Raj and into the British Empire.

The best period of time for the civilizations of Burma, is quite hard to decide as there are many periods where Burma thrived and prospered. However, the best period of time for the Constituent Province of Rangoon is it's present, as foreign investment is flocking to Rangoon, and a era of Prosperity and Trade ushers onto Rangoon and the whole of Burma, as the rest of Asia is in quite chaos, India is in a civil war, Burma is in a civil war, China is in a civil war, the two Koreas are about to tear themselves apart, the Dutch are fighting the Indonesians, Singapore has declared independence along with the Malaysia, and the Philipines are in an economic crisis, therefore, Rangoon attracts more foreign investment and tourism since corporations and tourists alike see Rangoon and it's surrounding beaches and areas as a peaceful relax zone away from their jobs and work. Rangoon has also decided to support corporations with tax breaks and such, and to improve the hospitality sector.
