An Overview of Vixette
Vixette, a Sonnelian archipelago, is a union of four territories: Vixette, Quincunx, Sugaru and Dubois. Considered to be a theocratic union, the four nations share close cultural and religious ties. Each territory can be described as thalassocracies, with maritime trade forming a major part of Vixette's economy. Vixette's population is made up of Lyon, anthropomorphic lions. The Lyon were believed to have been humans-turn-lions after being afflicted with an unknown disease or curse.

As a theocracy, Vixette adheres to the Tetralotoi faith. Literally translating to "Four Lotuses", Tetralotoism is a monotheistic religion centred around Lototheos, the "Lotus God". Lotuses are seen as the purest form of a living being, and are thus regarded highly in Vixettean culture. Adherents to Tetralotoism, Tetralotoien(ne)s, view Lototheos as the creator of the world, and Vixette as their holy seat. Tetralotoien(ne)s believe that Lototheos has control over the sea currents, weather, and disease. Tetralotoien(ne)s typically pray to Lototheos every month at a central temple; prayers usually constitute of thanksgiving, confessions, and requests.

Vixettean laws and constitution include a section specifically for religious (Tetralotoi) laws, but foreigners and non-adherents are exempt from the laws. The process for Tetralotoien(ne)s to legally disavow their religion is long and complicated, and ex-Tetralotoien(ne)s are considered social pariahs. That being said, many Tetralotoien(ne)s, while legally followers of Tetralotoism, do not actively follow the faith.

Vixette and its territories sit on a volcanic archipelago, although most above-ground volcanoes are long extinct or dormant. Vixette's capital, Regia Centralis, sits in a caldera on Vixette Island. The other territories are also characterised by fertile soils, mountaineous terrain, and frequent earthquakes. Quincunx is the agricultural heartland of Vixette; Sugaru boasts many exotic species of flora and fauna due to its relative isolation; Dubois is known for its picturesque landscape.

Tactics
The Lyon are known for their significant strength and stamina, especially compared to humans. If you put a Lyon and a human side-by-side, the size difference alone is enough to tell you not to mess around with them. However, if you consider their size, you may find out (sooner or later) that Lyons can be a bit unagile, and despite their speed, it's harder for them to change directions.

Aillet likes to field a heavily defensive line-up that aims to prevent goals through sheer brute force. Even though the Lyon don't usually intend to injure, some of their tackles might be a bit... rough, to say the least. Aillet also likes to play from the wing, with the fullbacks and wing midfielders usually running the show with their dribbling and crossing. A low block is incredibly common when playing against the Accursed, so don't expect to see many goals from the side. Still, Vixette's strikers are hunters in front of goal, so don't leave them out to prowl just yet!

While getting let go, the President of the country, who is also the President of BISA, is directly paying BISA cash, from his own pocket, to pay her salary. The goal was simple, but absolute- bring the team forward across the next three cycles, and reach World Cup 100 by whatever means necessary. Of course, it went spectacularly better- they stunned the footballing world by Qualifying directly for World Cup 98, Busoga's first ever Qualification- and even making the KO stages while they were at it.

While it's mostly been struggles since then, there's confidence that Millet can get them back to the World Cup- and with the Islanders somehow in Pot 2, there's a belief that this is a NT fully capable of World Cup #2.

Association Football/Soccer Culture in the Busoga Islands

To get into sporting culture of the country, you first must get into the country's history.

The Busoga Islands, historically, were largely uninhabited. Then, of course, Shia refugees escaping both ethnic and religious persecution in that country escaped from there, and went to the Islands- which were named after their leader, Ayatollah Busoga. A few hundred years of independence, before eventually being subject to a violent takeover by Banija. They were an integral part of Banija- so when Banija was colonized by Quebec, they were as well. And when Banija became independent in 1906, Busoga was considered an integral part of Banija, and went with it. Over 100 years as part of the independent Kingdom of Banija, despite their ethnic and religious composition being vastly different from the Banijan mainland. But a mismanaged drought durign World Cup 80 Qualifying started a famine, which launched the Busogan War for Independence, known abroad as the Banijan-Equestrian War. With asistance from Equestria and Baker Park, military might from their allies achieved their independence from Banija.

Ebrahim Razav was the country's first President, and President Delbin Kasekende, the current President, is the current President- the second President. IN charge for over 20 years, democratically, of course- 4 time election winner. Former NT goalkeeper for both Banija and Busoga, the athlete turned politico is a popular figure in the country. But this history gives them an inferiority complex, sports wise. Banija, their former masters, and neighbor, excelling across sport, while the Busogans can't seem to get anything done. It created a sporting inferiority complex- one that ends up being self-fulfilling.

That leads us to soccer culture, specifically. Association football culture in the Busoga Islands is interesting. It is the second most popular sport in the country, behind cricket- the country's true national sport. The country has never really been known for its sporting prowress- internationally, Busogan teams, no matter the sport, have not done much more than simply fill out numbers in a tournament. Barely a footnote in somebody else's story. Maybe springing an upset or two- who can forget the Busoga Islands upset win, at AOCAF 64, over Valanora? But no trophies, no appearances in Finals, nothing relevant or sustainable built- until, of course, the NSCF. Now, I know what you're thinking- what the hell does college gridiron have to do with the national soccer team?

But it all connects. NSCF 31, the Islamic University of Busoga shows up foer the first time in 10 seasons- there to fill out numbers, get a payday, get rolled by actually relevant teams, and dip. But the opposite happened- the Islamic University of Busoga took the world by storm. They swept the historic Banijan powerhouses of international college football, going 4-0 against the two Banijan schools. They finished as the top team in the regular season, and were, quite literally, one play away from reaching the NSCF Championship game. A hell of a run- coming from literally nowhere, and getting back. Coming back in NSCF 32, and having similar success- showing they are built for this. They are ranked ahead of the two Banijan schools.

Most importantly, though, it served as the hammer to the inferiority complex. The most immediate consequence is the increased popularity of gridiron in the country- now easily the country's third sport. But beyond that, the question became- why can't Busoga compete abroad in other sports? Why not the world's biggest sport- soccer? They are sober about how things are- this small country, without a top-flight team, is not a WC team. But with an expanded WC, and Busogans finally proving themselves on the world stage in sport, they want to get a national team to do so. With the President of the country also the President of BISA, he then announced a return to World Cup Qualifying- and is investing both the time, and the money, to get it done. Expectations were measured, everyone thought that it would take a few cycles to have a legit chance to qualify for the World Cup. But the goals are ambitious- the eldest Kasekende strongly believes that Busogan participation in the Centennial edition of the World Cup is a 'legitimate goal for this country'.

But then, the Busogans stunned not only themselves, but the world at-large- first time back, straight to the Finals.

So the question is, now what? It was a glorious, miraculous run- not only did they get there, but they pulled off the biggest upset of the tournament, defeating the co-host, and top 10 team, Yuezhou, 1-0 in the opening game, which launched them to the knockout stages- which even three-time champions Banija didn't reach. Drunk off of success, they are now back to sober times- the expectations have to be measured again. They are still an underdog, and bombed out not only out of both ARC IV and ARC V, but out of World Cup 99 Qualifying as well- a missed opportunity, with a World Cup in their neighborhood. Can they turn the ship around for WC100, or was World Cup 98 a once in a lifetime moment?

The Domestic Football Situation

The domestic football situation in the Busoga Islands is complicated, to say the least. There are 14 professional Busogan teams in the Banijan soccer pyramid, and they are all at the lower levels- two of them are in Banija's second tier, and 10 of them are in the Busogan National League- aka, the third tier. Lakiska SC are in the S-FPL, which is the joint first tier of Banija, Busoga, and Farfadillis- and it's the first time in quite a few cycles that a Busogan team has made it into the top flight. The Busoga Islander Soccer Association has been pushing for further development, but of course, the lack of quality has ensured they remain denied a permanent place in the Shango-Fogoa Premier League.

With the lack of first tier teams, the Islanders struggle to get first tier talent up to the Shango-Fogoa Premier League, which is a ceiling on their development. However, the miracle WC run last cycle has reinvigorated development of the sport on the island- invest in the clubs, invest in the players, improve quality, and have a 'rising tide lifts all boats' type of moment. It is bearing fruit- Lakiska followed up promotion by winning the LBCT, suggesting that they indeed are here to stay.

The Federation of Super Earth

Super Earth is a galaxy-spanning polity comprising fifty-two sectors (though several have recently come under the occupation of external forces). It is bordered to the east by the Terminid Horde (a swarm of ravenous, genetically-enhanced oversized arthropoids who infest entire worlds), the west by the Automaton Legion (a collective of militaristic robots who mass-produce war machines possibly descended from the socialist transhumanists of Cyberstan) and the south by the Illuminate Cult (a vengeful remnant of a hierarchical alien civilisation that distorts the cosmos itself to crusade against Super Earth for its near-extinction at human hands). For the past year and then some, the Federation of Super Earth has been engaged in total war with these foreign powers, a war that has produced hundreds of billions of documented casualties. Though ostensibly united under "Managed Democracy", Super Earth is in actuality a jingoistic stratocracy in which terms such as Freedom, Liberty and Prosperity have become nothing more than buzzwords parroted by the nation's patriotically obedient citizens. The greatest heroes of them all are the Helldivers, elite and self-sacrificing soldiers who deploy from orbit like bullets into their targets and, occasionally, rapidly extract from the planet's surface victorious.

The Super Earth Senators - History Matters

Formed in response to the multiversal challenge of the 87th Baptism of Fire, the Super Earth Senators are an impromptu freedomball team consisting of former Helldivers. Their training mostly consists of dynamite-kicking exercises, minefield-dodging exercises, and defending-the-rest-of-the-team-from-incoming-bug-breaches exercises. Despite this unconventional regimen, they proved a highly aggressive and adaptable team, with each member at peak human physical condition. Their streak of success ended in a devastatingly close match against Choppyhausen in the semifinals, which came down to the penalty shootouts. Ultimately, the Super Earth Senators would secure a third-place finish in the Baptism of Fire. But their ambition was not yet complete The unslakeable tide of Super Earth pride was a torrent not yet satisfied. Once more would they aim for absolute victory- in the World Cup 100 itself.

The Home uniform is in SEAF-standard sky blue with a white and a yellow vertical stripe, blue pants and white socks, with the Super Earth flag logo displayed. The Super Earth Senators are a highly dynamic and aggressive team. Though they excel at coordination and thrive under pressure, they lack the extensive field experience of professional athletes, instead having the extensive field experience of highly-trained* military specialists. Their expected field strategy revolves around relentless aggression and a refusal to give a moment's relief to either side involved in the confrontation. While this has proven successful for their debut in three Baptism of Fire, it may leave them exhausted and exposed against teams better used to the shenanigans of the World Cup.

The coach of the team is Sporting Officer Myrom, a retired Democracy Officer given new purpose. He comes from a long lineage of professional athletes, and is known for his exceptional ability to conjure useful platitudes and his devoted attention to punishing treasonous lines of thinking. Myrom is also responsible for ensuring adequate behaviour on the part of the Super Earth Senators during their foreign travels, and to protect them from hostile propaganda whether implicit, explicit, complicit or non-plicit.

In accordance with their military approach to the event, they have forgone their standard names in favour of their chosen combat monikers (nicknames). For the sake of completeness, both standard names and field designations will be provided here (e.g in the field, a patriot may be known as Keeper, but their name may be John Smith). The star of the defensive lineup is without a doubt Kicker, an expert grenade-kicker able to return incoming projectiles as reflexively as he breathes. Former explosives expert Briggs offers an equally dynamic defence, though with less kick accuracy. Lagrange is a long-range specialist known to punt the ball halfway across the field without missing her mark, an especially essential component of the team’s success. Vigil is a specialist in unflinching returns and peripheral awareness- a much-needed asset in a team of adrenaline-fuelled Helldivers. Ballast serves as a shadow of opposing movements, instinctively knowing the optimal position to take given the field situation. Tropic is an unremarkable but solid all-rounder who maintains team morale with well-placed comedic degradations of the opposition. Matron serves as a backup for the heavyweight defenders, and Longshot is dedicated to replacing Lagrange specifically if necessary.

Deadman is the most crucial player of the entire team, providing an overwhelming tide of aggression befitting a man who pre-inscribed his former name on the Wall of Martyrs- and is noted as one of the most prolific goalscorers of the Baptism of Fire 87. Wader and Chop, both melee combat specialists, provide a daunting ability to navigate crowds and strike at unexpected angles. Ret is a precision attacker known to go for ludicrous sniper shots straight for the goal at absurd distances and sometimes even making them work. Stripes serves as a backup option for the hyper-aggressive forwarders, with Buzz being a more strategic reservist focused on coordination strikes and maintaining formation. Creeper and Lassie are less exotic reservists intended for a generalist, stamina-focused backup performance should they need to replace someone.

The Seyshel Beach Avengement Day Memorial Stadium

Seven weeks of dedicated, inexplicable effort from a significant contingent of the Helldiver Corps led to the liberation of the planet Seyshel Beach. Avengement Day is the local celebration of this reclamation, and in its honour a new freedomball stadium was erected on the purple planet, within the city of Beachview. The stadium was designed around a hellbomb crater, itself generated around the last Illuminate monolith to be obliterated in the city. The stadium has been authorised for use in the World Cup 100 should it be required. While local weather is temperate, a climate of of patriotic celebration is almost impossible to escape, especially given that the tournament is scheduled to begin just after Liberty Day. The prospects of an Illuminate invasion during the World Cup have been assessed as “unlikely” and all would-be visitors are encouraged to trust in the 100%** win rate of the Helldivers on the planet.

Shell Shock Troop Clan is, loosely, the successor state to the nation of Aguazul (fl. WC48-63). The latter was an ineffectual military dictatorship; the modern SSTC is chaotically libertarian. Likewise, while the Catholic Church continues to exert a strong cultural influence, charismatic Christianity and open irreligion have grown significantly since we last traveresed the world scene. Gambling is rampant, and the modern so-called "professional" leagues are professional more or less in the sense of professional wrestling; there are, nevertheless, some competitive amateur ranks, from which this team has been drawn. (Currently, the amateur game is sex-segregated; while women also play, this team is all-male.)

Aguazul proper had a population density highly skewed towards the "Supercentro" urban agglomoration. It had various attempts at seizing overseas territories; the distant ones were abandoned/liberated after the revolution. The "western territories," adjacent to the mainland, became part of the new SSTC on equal terms. Thus, players can be categorized roughly as "southeast" (mostly the Supercentro), "northeast" (Trecelunas, Grisolon, and other parts of northern Aguazul), "southwest" (former territories, Sufuérte), and "northwest" (former territories, Valejano del Oeste). The fact that they are roughly comparable is an indication of the political compromise involved with this effort; the Supercentro likes to think it could field a perfectly competent team on its own and ignore everyone else, and while that's not as true as it was in Aguazul's heyday, the outer regions are still probably overrepresented. Likewise, the fact that home games will be held outside the Supercentro is in part a cost-saving effort, in part an effort to avoid the worst extremes of cataclysmic arson.

After the end of the nation's isolationist monarchy, Choppyhausen's athletes are finally able to compete in international cups and tournaments. As the best 25 representatives of Choppyhausen's most popular sport, the national football team is keen on showing their skill to the world and they are aware that the whole country will be watching their performance in this World Cup. The "Team in Teal" had a successful entry into the world of international football, achieving second place in this cycle's Baptism of Fire. Now it is time for the players to show their fans that they are also able to compete against more experienced teams.

Coach Harmon Merrit's team may lack international experience compared to other participants, but they make up for it with individual quality, high motivation and team spirit. Led by national goalkeeping legend and captain Weiner-Kracht, the tactics of the Choppyhausen national team revolve around their quick and technically gifted wingers, Keil and Iduna. In attacking and counter-attacking situations, the full-backs – known for their accurate crosses – push forward to support the attack, aiming to find Corte, Choppyhausen’s classic centre-forward, in the box.
When out of possession, they drop back to support the tall central defenders, working to shut down any threat from the opposition.

Manuel WEINER-KRACHT (#1, GK, 29) - (C)
Choppyhausen's captain is a national legend. The goalkeeper is feared among forwards for his exceptional one-on-one qualities. Compared to his international colleagues, his build-up play might be a bit weaker but his spirit and strive for victory are only matched by few.

David BENDER-MCKAY (#2, LB, 30)
Bender-McKay might be the oldest player in Choppyhausen's starting lineup but that does not stop him from sprinting down the left flank whenever possible. The left back is one of the most experienced players of the team and his pinpoint crosses are notorious.

Milo HOLDENBECK (#3, CB, 22)
"Built like a tank and yet as agile as a gazelle" said Holdenbeck's first scouting report. The 22 year old is among the fastest players in the team - especially useful when an offside trap did not work. When he's not winning the ball with a daring sliding tackle, he likes to send the ball flying across the pitch, sometimes as a clearance, sometimes as a dangerous offensive pass.

Henrik FREDERIKSEN (#4, CB, 27)
Frederiksen is exactly what most managers look for in a center back. He is tall, strong and not afraid to be a bit tougher against his opponents when needed. During set pieces, Frederiksen and his 1.92m can become quite the threat infront of goal.

Til LAMPE (#16, RB, 23)
Originally meant as a substitute in the Baptism of Fire, Lampe managed to snatch a starting position from Oak with strong performances in the group stages of the tournament. When in possession of the ball, he likes to play forward which sometimes leads to mistakes in his defensive play.

Ivo TYR (#6, DM, 29)
The captain of one of Choppyhausen's best football teams - Triangle Vastonburg - who has long established himself as one of the best defensive midfielders in the country. With his excellent passing accuracy, he is expected to be the key point of the Choppyhausenian build-up play.

Andre FINCH (#19, DM, 25)
Next to Tyr in the defensive midfield you will find Andre Finch who was promoted to the starting lineup after a strong performance in IAC24. The 25 year old impresses with his strong tackling skills and accurate through balls that brought him three assists in the recent Baptism of Fire.

Dominik KEIL (#8, LW, 25)
Get the ball -> Run a bit -> Dribble past opponents -> Run a bit more -> Cross in the middle -> Goal (hopefully). That seems to bei Dominik Keil's playing mantra and it is quite succesful leading to three goals in the Baptism of Fire.

Tommy LUKESON (#9, AM, 20)
"Young and energetic with the right drive toward the goal", is how coach Merrit descibed the offensive midfielder in a recent interview. Even though he is one of the youngest players in the team, Lukeson has succesfully defended his starting position, contributing four goals and two assists at the recent Baptism of Fire. He loves to leave opposing defenders in his wake with his skillful dribbling and isn't afraid to shoot from unlikely angles, even if his risky style of play is sometimes frowned upon by the coach.

Marco IDUNA (#10, RW, 22)
Iduna was the team's second best scorer in the Baptism of Fire where his performance was particularly important as each of his goals was Choppyhausen's first goal of the game. His domain is the right wing, where he loves to sprint down to the byline and cross in the box.

Jule CORTE (#11, CF, 28)
Corte is probably the most important player in Choppyhausen's offensive play. The team's classic centre forward won the "Golden Ball" for Player of the Tournament by Stewartika's SFA Technical Study Group in the 87th Baptism of Fire, scoring nearly a third of all of Choppyhausen's goals. Corte is known for being cold-blooded and humorless infront of goal, usually scoring without a lot of trickery.

ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE BONUSIAN SQUAD

All the nation awaits in pure expectation as the start of the ~~87th Baptism of Fire~~ 100th World Cup Qualifiers comes closer each passing day. ~~However, until yesterday afternoon we didn't know who were going to be the 27 players who will defend the black shirt of the Confederation. At said time,~~ Main NT manager Xavier Boquete gave a press conference and announced who are the chosen ones amongst more than 100 million souls to fight in behalf of our beloved nation.

Here at Carca we ~~elaborated~~ totally didn't rehash a list of all 27 players called up for the national squad, with some info about each aswell as some info about the staff and the national team as a whole. That way you, dear Carca reader, you'll once again be the most informed fella during your lunch break!

This section is for any foreigners who might be curious about our humble land, here's some information about Bonusia:

CHARACTER: Although GREAT variances can be found across all the different vegueries (1st level subdivisions of Bonusia) in the country, the Bonusian society could be best described as mostly warm and welcoming. Bonusians have a very strong work ethic, during the week you'll find that very few of them will go out at bars, pubs or any other recreational place (except when there's midweek football), but by contrast this apparent seriousness of character suddenly vanishes when the workweek's over, and the partygoer Bonusians emerge from their suited-up shell. Most popular music genres are Bonusian Pop (B-POP), classical rumba and all sorts of electronic music (techno, house and makina mostly, amongst others). Although it's not widespread, specially amongst old population, drug consumption is fairly frequent and pretty normalized in Bonusia. Most common drugs are alcohol, energy drinks, marihuana and rubdisks.

INHABITANTS

The Bonusian Confederation was born as a pact of cooperation, mutual respect and shared progress between two species that coexisted in Llimana: the Earthlings and the Llimanians.

EARTHLINGS: The Earthlings arrived now almost 500 years ago to Llimana, after a long journey across the cosmos. As their name suggest, they come from a planet called Earth, which is, in unscientific terms, very far away.

Earthlings have an around 1.75m average height, with an important sex difference, the average being 1.65m for females and around 1.85m for males; and they weigh between 60 and 90kg. They have soft skin, with a range of colours going from pastel tan all the way to dark brown. They have a facial structure composed of two rounded ears to each side of the face, two occular cavities with their respective eves, a nose (proportionally similar in size to that of Llimanians) on the center, usually long and rounded at the end, and a mouth directly integrated below the nose in the face front. They are also hairy creatures, having their head fully covered in hair, aswell as the armpits, a great portion of the pelvis, and legs; and in the case of males they also grow hair on the chest, the back and in the face.

Almost all Earthlings came from one specific nation in their planet: a land they call Catalonia, which is their ancestral origin and which is still very present in the popular imaginary of Earthlings. It was a region which was a part of a state which tried to erase their existence, and after failing to break free and form their own state the Catalan ancestors of our fellow Earthlings ideated a seedship that put course towards our planet, which had the conditions to support Earth-origined life, in order to start anew and finally be able to govern themselves.

LLIMANIANS: The Llimanians are the first and only (known) sentient species originary of planet Llimana. They evolved their sentience around 20.000 years ago, and had since then dominated the planet.

Compared to Earthlings, Llimanians are slightly smaller and lighter, averaging 1.65m tall and weighing an average of 50 to 70kg, without noticeable sex differences. They have a far more rough and less porous skin than Earthlings, with a colour range that goes from sky blue to navy. They have a noticeably different facial structure than Earthlings, possessing two pointy ears to each side, only one big occular cavity that occupies all the upper half of the front face, and a nose, usually short and rounded under their big eye.

Their upper head is dominated by their elongated mouth, which is movable and can be used to grab small objects with their strong lips. Unlike Earthlings, they have almost no teeth, and instead they pre-grind their food before ingesting. Finally, their chest is dominated by one or a few organic minerals that Llimanians grow naturally, with varying colors that occupy all the color spectrum. Some Llimanians like to keep them clean and orderly, while others just let it grow.

Until the Great Arrival, Llimanians lived in comparatively underdeveloped societies, with the capacity to work metals but yet far away from an industrial level of technology. After the contact, Llimanians around the area, the old Bonusians, were able to adapt to most of these new technologies that the aliens brought, and this greatly improved their quality of life, and they ended up building closer and closer relations to the Earthlings, until they decided to come together under one banner.

During these upcoming WC Qualifiers, 9 games (8 from qualifying plus a friendly) will be hosted by the Confederation and thus played on home soil. The Federació Bonusiana de Futbol (F.B.F) has dictated that, in order to approach the NT to the whole country, said 9 matches are to be play in 9 different venues across 9 Bonusian cities. Here at Carca we've compiled a bit of information from each city and each stadium for any foreigner interested in travelling to our country to support their team.

KYNETBO, Kynetbo Metropolitan Area

General description: Kynetbo is the largest city in the Confederation, and serves as one of the capitals (the Earthling one). Located in the southeastern corner of the Bonusian Peninsula, Kynetbo is one of the oldest Earthling built cities in Bonusia, built shortly after Sant Puigdemont's establishment, and it begun to enlarge as it was located in a spot that facilitated it's transformation into a commercial hub. It was the main Earthling settlement in Llimana, thus getting it's capital status with the arrival of the Confederation. Despite being relatively old compared to other Earthling settlements in the planet, Kynetbo is a very modern city, having transitioned to a service economy and to an administrative hub. People here are fast-paced, self-centered and kinda condescendent city-folk, although it varies greatly depending on the district, as it is a city with noticeable unequality.
What to see:
The Bonusian Parliament: In this neo-modernist building built in the late 3rd century A.G.A (After the Great Arrival) the Bonusian Confederal legislature carries their normal activity on. Visitr are organized and rare, but if you enjoy art history and architecture, the building itself shows many interesting characteristic traits of neo-modernist architecture.
Les Quatre Torres: These are 4 big towers located in the central business district of the city. They were design to ressemble the four pales of the Catalan Coat of Arms. They are mostly offices, but tourists usually enjoy gazing at them from a high point.
Tips:
Bring money, as things here are more expensive than in the rest of the country.
Buy the public transport pass if you're coming for the football or just to visit, there's a lot of ticket options and the service is reliable.
Don't buy things from street vendors, most are members of crime organizations.
Stadium: Estadi Casa Tarradellas (Capacity: 79.500)
Owning club: Centre Català de Kynetbo
General description: A majestic stadium, home to the majestic Centre Català, the Estadi Casa Tarradellas, named after the famous dynasty Tarradellas that dominated old Earth during the 3rd and 2nd Century B.G.A (Before the Great Arrival). It's a classic stadium, built to be imposing by it's sheer size. It offers plenty of space and good views of the field from any seat, and it is equipped with all sorts of ammenities, like a bar, a VIP stage and displaying screens.

KEKLA, Keklagara

General description: Kekla was the traditional power center of what was once Old Bonusia, which extended across the west of modern day Bonusia, before the arrival of Earthlings. This was due to the chiefdom of Keklagara being the dominant one amongst the 5 original chiefdoms, and this dominance made the city one of the capitals of modern Bonusia, alongside Kynetbo. It is an old and historical city, with a very charming old quarter full of pre-arrival buildings, that conserve a traditional Bonusian style. If you travel to this Llimanian-majority city, you will see that their people are very proud of their heritage, and will gladly talk to you about it. They are also pretty hard working, stubborn and quite conservative in a lot of aspects.
What to see:
The Great Inda'ga Palace: It's the official residency of the Head Chief of Keklagara, one of the two heads of state of Bonusia; title now possessed by Inda' Mekalanu. It stands above the city with it's three long towers, coronated by the three spheres that symbolize honesty, courage and honour; spheres that remind the qualities that represent and that must be possessed by a good head chief.
The Pentalypse Hotel:Opened just 15 years ago, back in 465, the Pentalypse Hotel is a 5-star hotel located in the outskirts of the old quarter of Kekla. It's tall and modern yet it's built in such a way that it aesthetically fits within the greyish dark-green, stoney buildings in the city. Not the hotel for the average tourist, sadly, this hotel got the price range and the prestige fit for famous musicians and professional footballers.
Tips:
Ask the locals about any stuff you want about the city, but if you got time to spare only.
If you're outside late and seem to be an outsider, most people will get suspicious and you could get in some trouble.
Most drugs are legal here, aswell as in the rest of Bonusia, and you'll be able to access them easily. However, you should refrain from consuming them in public, it's specially frowned upon in this area.
Stadium: Inda' Regareka Bonusian Stadium (Capacity: 74.600)
Owning club: Keklaneka Esportiu
General description: This stadium, named after head chief Regareka, is one of the most emblematic Bonusian stadiums, mostly because of it's special location, right in front of the Great Inda'ga palace. The stadium itself is also amazingly built, with two graderies and an amazing black and white contrast that goes along with the club's colours, while the outside is built with wavy lines.

OP, Bonport

General description: Being once a small fishermen village, Op grew during the first years of Old Bonusian's contact with the newly arrived Earthlings. Since back then the trip was too long to do it in one sit, Op became sort of a rest point for travelers and traders who arrived by sea. The city grew with the influx of people and capital, and now, Op is a city that still shines by their seafaring operations, but they are the best Bonusia has to offer in terms of scientific research and innovation, with the University of Op being the most prestigious in the country. People in this city are open-minded and also pretty welcoming, although they are innate merchants, and thus most them will try to sell you anything; be it literal or metaphorically.
What to see:
The Op Era: A big and retromodern event hall built next to the sea, with amplious windows that border it. It is coronated with a big boat-like vehicle next to it, in a way to remember the seafaring origins of Op. It is used for all kinds of purposes.
Plaça Espell: The main square in Op, located in the heart of the city, right next to the beach. In fact, half of the plaza is not surrounded by building, giving you the view of the sea. Merchants used to display their goods there, now markets are only put up for festivity purposes, and mixed-use buildings host a great variety of restaurants, shops and recreation places, amongst others.
Tips:
Ask locals for cheap places, they know the drill. Otherwise, you'll definitively end up overpaying in your trip.
Be aware that a lot of people will try to sell you things. They won't be necessary bad things, but try to avoid getting too swayed, they know how to charm foreigners.
If wandering close to the sea, beware of unexpected rainfall. Bring a trench coat!
Stadium: La Caravana (Capacity: 73.675)
Owning club: Mercader CF
General description: A covered stadium, with big lateral openings that make it look like a big old golden caravan. The seat rows has a pretty noticeable verticality, and most here prefer to watch the game upstanding. The Caravana's grandstand is the most active in Bonusia, regarding dealing of course. Important entrepeneurs, CEOs, politicians and other important people make all kinds of deals, with a surprisingly varying level of shadiness.
Match played: Matchday 1 - BONUSIA VS MOLADEA

UNOM, Plana d'Unó

General description: Unom is a low-story, sprawling city in the Bonusian interior, and it is built on old land. The Unomian region was once the home-site of the old peoples of Uno, an extreme warrior culture that organized itself into different clashing tribes and which was very fond on fighting in top of horse-equivalent animals and squarrelling with neighbouring tribes. With the Earthling arrival, the Plana d'Unó became the scenary of the most bloody war in post arrival history, which ended in the almost total decimation of the Uno people. However, as new Earthling and Llimanian settlers arrived, the Uno cultural influence shaped the people of the region. Due to this influence, the Unomian character could be defined as brave, straight-forward, passionate and pretty anger-prone. They take little things lightly, and are a people of extremes. They can become your most loyal friends as easily as your most dangerous enemies.
What to see:
U-Dom: The U-Dom is actually the biggest stadium in the city of Unom. However, it's not used for football games. Instead, it's a big venue used for fighting events. Events are organized by private parties, by going to the town hall and doing the paperwork. Planning accordingly, any private citizen can organize his own fighting contests at the U-Dom! And fear not, the U-Dom will fill up. Lots Unomians end up coming to all fights, they are always up to see people punch each other.
La Flama Eterna: A big pit which, for an unknown reason, has been burning, at least, since Earthlings first explored the zone. It was a very powerful symbol Uno culture, as it was representative of their inextinguishable soul. Nowadays, this symbol is still relevant in the city, and it very well represents the Unomian spirit.
Tips:
Don't pick up a fight in Unom. It's a valid tip for everywhere, but it's an specially useful one here.
Unomians don't like small talk. Don't attemp it at a store nor with strangers.
If you haven't fighted before, don't enlist yourself at the U-Dom with your friends. The public is very harsh if you're not used to it.
Stadium: La Cova del Tigre (Capacity: 42.500)
Owning club: Unomenc CF
General description: The Unomian venue definitively had to do with Unomenc's surprising success last season. On the outside, a roaring tiger head welcomes opposition teams as they make their way into the field, and inside, the field is small and the stands are built specifically for maximum acoustic. With the average Unomenc fanatic's energy, the stadium quickly turns into a pressure cooker trying to boil rival squads. If the Unomian fans mobilize for Bonusia, it ought to be a hard game for the opposition.
Match played: Matchday 11 - BONUSIA VS POROTIA

TARRACONOVA, Tarraconensis

General description: Tarraconova is generally considered the Pearl of Bonusia. Located in the heart of the Bonusian Bay, and surprisingly close to the Gèlid Mountains, it has the best of sea and mountain. The city itself grew exponentially with the rise of the third sector, as it reoriented it's economy to tourism. According to it's name, the beautiful land where it was situated inspired Earthlings to build with the style of the Ancients, creating a very interesting Future-classicist architectural style. But even more than day-tourism, Tarraconova shines for it's night tourism. The city is the Bonusian party leader by a mile. Each summer, tens of thousands of Bonusians travel here to loose themselves and disconnect from everything. The true party animal, however, is the average Tarraconovan. The Tarraconovans are usually light-hearted people, very open, very optimist and very liberal. The only way to throw them off is by being an absolute party pooper.
What to see:
Aer Pontem: The biggest club in Tarraconova and the most popular in the whole Bonusia, the Aer Pontem is a must in Tarraconova. It is lcoated inside of a Greek Temple-ressembling building, a fact that usually shocks first timers. They usually play differents kinds of techno (mostly makina) and pop, but there's plenty of dance floors with different music styles, for everyone's taste.
Mirador de Sa L'Ou: This privileged spot is hard to access (only by foot), but every visitor says it's worth it. Going up into the mountainside behind the city, the Mirador de Sa L'Ou offers breathtaking views of both Tarraconova and the Bonusian Bay. If you manage to schedule properly to avoid overcrowding, it's a perfect spot for a romantic date.
Tips:
If you're out to party, do so cautiously. It's very easy to get carried away by the Tarraconovan night.

It is probably one of the best stadiums you can attend to as a visitor, as the same Tarraconovans are welcoming and easy to bond with, despite the rivalry on the pitch.

SOMORROSTA, Detrívora

General description: Somorrosta is a beautiful port city, mostly consisting of high-density blocks dominating the sky above the sea. While Op got all the trade and the merchants, the sea travel in Somorrosta brought mostly thinkers. Thoughts and discussions came and went in this seaside city like waves in the beach. This thinking tradition turned Detrívora into a very advanced vegueria in a lot of aspects, compared to the rest of the Old Bonusia. And this intellectual strength didn't dissipate with time. Somorrosta is today a city of thinkers and free spirits. The Somorrostans are tolerant, calm and very good listeners and discussors, although sometimes they lack a bit of fury. Strong associationism and very strong cultural movments promoting values like peace and tolerance shape the life of the city.
What to see:
Ateneu Somorrostí: A cultural space open to everyone, everywhere. It counts with lots of conference rooms, big and small lounge rooms, study rooms and all kind of other spaces, all available for free for anyone, upon reserve or in some cases granted long-term. It might not seem that impressive to some, but this space is vital to Somorrosta's associative network.
The Torch Situated in a rocky sailent next to the sea, a 25 meter tall sculpture of a big torch held by an Earthling and a Llimanian hand dominates the scenary. It symbolizes harmony across species.
Tips:
Take an interest in the cultural life of the city, the locals will be appreciative (and you will most likely end up adopting an interest on it).
If you have time, partake in discussions at the Ateneu Somorrostí. Most newcomers come out of them with renovated perspectives.
You can also partake in volunteer work, the community will know how to return the favour.

General description: Located on the other side of the Somorrostan beach, opposed to The Torch, the Estadi de la Unificació is a sinuous, aesthetically pleasing stadium, decorated with black and magenta stripes on the outside, emulating Inter Somorrosta's crest. The stadium makers have also worked on acoustics, but it is built in order for the shouting to be heard less on the pitch, so players don't get distracted. The stadium maintenance is made by a volunteer association.

MINGA, Tionera

General description: Tionera is the most remote of the big cities in Bonusia. It acts as the main hub of a vast rural region encompassing Tionera as well as circundant vegueries. The city is sprawling, consisting mostly of cheap, low-story buildings, with big garages where people save their lumberjack and farming equipment. The city itself is surronded by vast masses of mostly virgin forestal land, with a very small population density. These forests are mostly unexplored, and lots of different stories about mythical creatures or strange events circulate in the local imaginary. People in Minga are what you could expect from an isolated rural area: Rowdy, brute and not concerned in manners.
What to see:
Bodega de Cal Salomó: This wine brewery produces one of the best Tioneran wines, which as a category hold a special Origin Denomination and are widely considered the best in Bonusia. It might hurt your wallet, but if you enjoy good wine this is a must visit in Minga.
Gerdar Forest: This is the closest unexploited big forest near Minga itself. Despite being close to the city, the natural ecosystem of these forests remain pretty much intact, only with the curated addition of Earth species into the wilderness. Walking around here is very pleasant, however tracks are not properly signaled, so beware about getting lost!
Tips:
Avoid fast food chains, local restaurants have excellent fresh products from the land, and you will most likely eat better and cheaper than in any fast food.
If you need to move around, rent a car. Local public transport in Minga is basically non-existant.
You will see Mingans doing stupid stuff. Don't try to prevent it, or you might instead get caught on it.
Stadium: Estadi d'Avellanes&Turró (Capacity: 28.670)

General description: This stadium does not shine by it's outside, but rather from what you can see on the inside. On the outside, it pretty much ressembles a dark green shoe-box, built out of intermixed metal and wood parts. Inside, the closer part of the stands is actually seatless, so all fans stand up and perform in loud displays to build the pressure. A question of perspective, mostly; performing a big display in such a small stadium enlargens the former, giving it an even greater impact.

SANT MOLINA, Ralí

General description: Sant Molina was founded by Earthling peregrins, who founded the city in honour to the legendary meteorologist Tomàs Molina. Molinans' quasi-religious devotion to this man drove Molinan and Ralian culture, with them developing a cultural fascination over the study of natural phenomena, and developing the concept of movement as a cultural phenomena. The city is amplious and clean, with pastel-coloured, unsquary buildings scattered across organic road grids. Molinans are orderly, observant and they like to always go fast.
What to see:
The Mauri Observatory: An state of the art observatory, located at the highest point of the area, it is one of the main space exploration-oriented institutions, and it also has a very big meteorological station. Paid guided visits are common, so if you have time you should give it a look.
The Molinan Ring Road: A very lax Ralian traffic allowed certain racing afficionates to take over the ring road that surround the city, using it as an improvised racing circuit. Commuters now avoid that road, but if you enjoy the adrenaline of driving fast, just enter the ring and it's deal sold.
Tips:
Molinans walk fast, be sure to be able to catch them if you want to tell them something.
Even when not in the Ring Road, Molinans also drive fast. If you are not that good of a driver, take the public transport.
On top of that, Molinans also talk fast. Put special attention to what they say, because they don't like having to repeat themselves.

General description: Going with the city's aesthetic, the Tomàtic is a light blue, rounded, covered stadium, with the covers simulating the clear sky that comes with an Anticicló. It is one of the stadiums with the highest user confort rating, due to it being built to maximize temperature regulation. The fans are usually calm as long as they are served some action. If they are not, they will make sure that the teams start to work, one way or another.

WÈEP, Pungapu

General description: The Pedic Islands is a remote tropical archipelago located northwest of mainland Bonusia. It has been habited since millenia ago by the same people, the Pedics; who currently still inhabit the archipelago, although a great diversity can be seen today in the islands. Their integration into Bonusia could be attributed to a particularly crazy night out involving the Bonusian Prime Minister, the king of the Pedic peoples, some unhealthy quantity of kalimotxo and some particularly strong inspirational rubdisks. Wèep is the biggest city of the archipelago and works de facto as the capital of the whole archipelago. Medium sized, light-coloured buildings are scattered around without any apparent order. Weepians are pretty disorganized, in all the aspects of life, so one shouldn't count on them to handle anything that requires planning at all. However, they are the most calm people you can find in all Bonusia.
What to see:
Temple del peu rei: Weepians, aswell as the rest of Pedics, have a very strong cultural fascination with feet, and they perform all kinds of rituals with them. On important occasions, these rituals take place in this temple, and people from all over the city come. As long as you're respectful, you can come to observe the rituals. If you've never seen 50.000 thousand llimanians drinking from a vase that they're holding with one foot, now's your chance.
The Rubdisk Central: Before being the widespread national hallucinogen of Bonusia, rubdisks emerged in the Pedic Islands and the methods for their elaboration were polished for quite some time until integration into Bonusia. Good Weepian disk artisans produce really good rubdisks, and they can make them have different effects on the consumer. If you want to try some of the good stuff, don't doubt it and pay a visit.
Tips:
Make sure to bring footwear from home, as Weepians go barefoot all day and thus you won't find shoes anywhere.
If taking rubdisks, make sure to be human-suited. Because of their lesser skin porosity, normal Llimanian rubdisks are much more potent than human-oriented ones. As a human, consuming Llimanian rubdisks could pose serious health issues.
If going to the beach, beware mosquito crabs when stepping, they are small and very capable of pinching you if they need it.

The team looks like it is set to open up a bit more under Elizidan's guidance, returning to a form of football that they are more accustomed to that it was during Millet's time at the helm. While she got her first cycle off to a good start with an appearance in the ARC Final, last cycle left a bit to be desired as the team only got to the quarterfinals despite being heavy favorites to finally win their sixth title and then followed it up with a group stage exit in the ARC. While no one would say she is on the hot seat, she will need a solid showing in this edition of the competition to bounce back from the bitter taste of disappointment last cycle brought.

After breaking on to the scene early with Pasargan giants CA Paulinthal, Tobias Propst has taken a firm hold of the number one shirt and will refuse to let it go with the sheer amount of skill and talent he possesses. A tall and very talented keeper with keen reflexes and instincts, there is reason to believe that he is the answer to the Marauders questions in goal for as long as he remains at the top of his game. Behind him, three of the four other members of the pool have been shuffled and only Simonsen remains, though the inconsistencies there would mean they are not likely to feature. A sublime Premiership campaign has Caspar Engström back into the conversation and with excellent reflexes and a solid shot stopping record, should Propst be dropped for whatever reason, he would be solid choice to replace him in goal and keep the Marauders in the game. Also of note is the debut of Tanya Rinaldi, as her success with her twin at Tihon have earned her to be in the pool at the very least.

While defense has never typically been the strength of a Vanorian team, there has been and are plenty of individually talented players who do end up playing a defender, with this group of players being no exception. This is more true than ever with the current crop of players as the majority of players who played last cycle have aged out. Given the poor performance oft the defense in the ARC, it is perhaps a few months too late that they have been phased out of the team. Leading the charge now is stern Rasmus Andersen who does not shy away from contact and is great at winning aerial duels. Partnered by the more technical and ball playing type in Borgen, the pair are not expected to get forward much, except Rasmus for set piece opportunities. Prytz and Nordström are the two most likely options off the back, both being more modern ball playing types who can get forward in support if needed. A completely new left side is called up as Anastasia Halvorsen earns the spot thanks to be part of a title winning effort in Kelssek and is perhaps not as aggressive going forward as most Vanorian fullbacks are, as is Skogli on the right hand side. Both of them are backed up by more attacking fullbacks, though what they supply in the attack does take away somewhat from their defensive responsibilities and given the defensive frailties of the ARC makes you understand why the defensive fullbacks are projected as the starters most matchdays.

Few words can truly encapsulate the sheer amount of skill and drive that Laborious Hawk provides in the middle of the park and with the change in formation, he will likely shift to being more of a shadow striker sort of position rather than a facilitator. While not an out and out attacking or playmaking force in the middle, Zack Sjöberg does a little bit of everything well and is pretty handy in playmaking even if not elite at it , along with a winning pedigree with having developed as Pasargan giants CA Paulinthal. A fellow CAP player, the third in the squad, is versatile attacking winger Aya Haukås, who is good on the cross as well as the pass but does not shoot that often. Lina Gården, who is the backup on the right hand side, however is quite the opposite and does like to cut in and will be called off the bench if the team is chasing a game late on, while Rebekka Kajsdóttir also provides solid depth behind as a playmaker. After a few stellar showings, Myrhe and his impressive six foot six stature will play the role of destroyer and screen the defense when needed to and is backed behind by the very talented Ylva Stjern, who is fresh off a title in Kelssek. Linus Sollien is another attacking winger, who will like to get into the box as a support striker on the attack while providing an outlet when out in transition or out of possession, with two talented but untested at the national level players behind him.

Haaland's time is now, several seasons tearing it up with Turkish with two SuperLiga titles to his name with as many golden boots and it's clear that Juavi was never going to be enough for the lad. Strong enough to hold off the more physical defenders, fast enough to get behind them, and with a good nose for goal that has developed from a young age. While no means a dominant striker in any one area, his collective game is hard to beat and will make him a force to reckon at the head of the Marauders' attack and affords Ellzidan flexibility in her approach game to game. Nilsen offers a finesse and pacy approach should it be needed, while Garberg is like Haaland in a more well rounded game but not excellent in one particular area. Both having been bled in the competitive and ultra high level of the Kelssek league makes them great options to reply upon a strong attack off the bench. Behind them are pair of versatile and highly talented players, with the other Rinaldi twin as well as Chell Meadows. Both can play in the shadow striker or advanced playmaker role but also as an out and out striker, though Drake is more lethal on the attack and Chell as a playmaker.

Tactics

Two cycles through her tenure at the helm, it is fair to say that the Vanorian public as well as the team in her charge has taken quite kindly to the Drawkian elf's tactics more than her predecessor, even if Millet had the better results. Ellzidan has tweaked her tactics slightly during her time with the Marauders, having her midfield play in a more advanced role besides a destroyer who sits in front of the defense to screen them from probing attacks and allowing the fullbacks to get forward if they desire to. There is plenty of speed and quick passing leading up to clinical finishers in the striker and false nine role that Hawk has played in this system.

The 41st Campionato Esportiva was the first international competition held in the country, with the government, pledging heavy amounts of funding to cities and clubs across the country to upgrade infrastructure.

Visitors of all types are welcome to visit Katzeburg, with strong laws in support of LGBTQ+ rights and a multicultural makeup. Travellers who do not often get on the beers may find local customs a little challenging, as the average Katzeburgian loves to put down a few no matter the occasion - this is particularly evident during sporting matches, where alcohol consumption is generally an expectation for those watching, but Katzeburgians do appreciate that those who can't have a few are also more than welcome and there is no pressure put on visiting tourists to participate.

Unable to get a ticket to the game days? All Katzeburg games will be broadcast across the country both on free-to-air TV through public broadcaster KBC, but also in a high number of pubs, open air parks, and sporting venues throughout Katzeburg. The nation is keen to welcome visitors and supporters, and anyone lost or in need of help need only ask a local passerby, and they'll be happy to support with a friendly, joking attitude (unless you run into Doris "The Grump" Handerson from south Konigpool, in which case you may need to excuse her bluntness).

Getting around Katzeburg is sadly eaiser said than done, with the nation still developing in the wake of the Katzeburgian Revolution some 24 years earlier. North Katzeburg has strong rail links stretching from Coalbrook to Windorf, and those heading to Katzeburg will be able to visit all three stadiums hosting games via rail.

If rail isn't your pint of Harmouth Gold, then travellers can access all Katzeburg has to offer via it's network of ferries, bus transit, and government-funded rental car schemes. Those touching down in the country will more often land at the Katzestadt International Airport in the country's capital - the only international airport in Katzeburg - and a free and quick public shuttle service runs travellers from the airport to the city centre and financial district on a regular 15-minute basis, with Katzestadt Central Station allowing trips via train to the remainder of North Katzeburg.

Depending on what you want to see in Katzeburg, there should be something for everyone - South of Katzestadt lies the affluent town of Barenwold and a wide range of agricultural heartlands, with the next major city to the south being Deerhaven, sitting on the southern coast of the nation. Travelers going east will find the rich forests of the Campbellnia National Park, where travellers could have the chance of spotting a rare blue cat, or the gridiron heartland of Aberstadt - where one of the two major universities in the state, the University of Aberstadt, currently plays at the NSCF level. Those going west are likely to see Mount Mercer - the largest peak in the nation and where the country's winter sports are based - or the city of Waldstein, which has quickly been regarded as the national hotspot for the country's motorsports thanks in part to it being the hometown of World Grand Prix Championship race winner Ron Sommer.

Of interest to travellers may also be the small island of Dragoonspiel up in the north west of the country - now famed as the stomping grounds of the Ynysgard Chess Club, champions of Elephant Chess Cup X and XI, and the most notable thing to come out of the island since its local 'delicacy' baked fish pie.

Climate wise, expect cold winters and moderate summers - snow is often expected during the peak of winter across the country, but is also a regular occurrence on Mount Mercer no matter the time of year. The World Cup Qualifiers are due to be held at the back end of Katzeburg's summer, meaning the normally regular rainy months which hit North Katzeburg are avoided, but don't count out moderate rain in any games held in Axmund. However, this shouldn't impact most games as grounds are often well-protected from the elements.

"No room for error": Katzeburg announce national pool for 100th World Cup

On the eve of the qualifiers for the 100th edition of the World Cup, it could be argued that pressure on the Katzeburgian national team is at an all-time high. The Blue Cats enter the cycle having gone backwards for the first time in their history as a national team - missing out on qualification for World Cup 99 by the skin of their teeth and falling apart on home soil in the most recent Campionato Esportiva in a shock upset against their co-hosts South Newlandia. It was a set of results which has seen the Blue Cats decline in the rankings for the first time in their history - dropping from 37th to 46th - and a spot in Pot 2. But with record numbers of entrants in this World Cup, the grand draw in Zube has been kind to the Blue Cats, putting them in Group 21 with Pasarga the heavy favourites to advance.

The large scale of the World Cup means the room for error is tighter than ever, with only the top two in the group seeing their run continue on past the main qualification stage. For Katzeburgian supporters, the message is clear - a playoff spot is the minimum for a nation which is hungry to return to the biggest event in sports once more. So questions have naturally been raised about Becka Haberkorn's announcement of the national pool for the qualifiers, despite picking a good bulk of the nation's best and brightest on and off-shore talents. As expected, league champions Katzestadt AFC have a strong showing in the pool, with seven of the 40 names hailing from the Royals, while their cross-city rivals have seen a stark change in fortunes, with just Drake Wruck and Elicia Morton included in the squad following a horrendous domestic season for the Rovers.

Four uncapped players have been called into the pool following solid domestic seasons, with keepers Sage Head (Axmund United), and Gerald Kerper (Wolfenholm United), and defender Sid Twist (Barenwold FC) called up, while Elvin Greenberg makes the national pool after a 12 goal season for Ibsia City in Kanzlia - netting close to half the side's goals over the season as the side was relegated from the top flight. Brandt Godfrey looks to add to his sole cap for Katzeburg after moving to Indusse and having a breakout season for league winners Rockies International FC, with Danita Bannerman (Barenwold FC) also another one-cap wonder on the long-list of players at Haberkorn's disposal for the qualifiers.

But questions have remained about some of the decisions in the core pool, especially given some of those who are expected to run-out across the qualifiers failed to show up in the Campionato Esportiva. There has been some tweaking to the proposed starting lineup for the qualifiers, with Erik Clarkson coming back into the starting XI despite a struggling season at Inverhaven City, while Monday Mynatt forces her way into the starting position over Cale Fux after the Katzestadt AFC defender failed to fire at CE41. Joachim Newell also takes a position in the lineup over long-established veteran Vera Horsfall, who was on the verge of dropping out of the squad after a poor season with Katzestadt Rovers, having moved in the offseason to Kelssek in an attempt to see out her career at a high level.

Haberkorn was relatively coy about the pool and the initial squad she has selected, noting the importance of the side needing to hit the ground running.

"Look, there are a lot worse groups we could have been pulled into, but that doesn't mean we can waste our chance here," Haberkorn told media at the national pool announcement in Katzestadt. "The unique set-up of this World Cup means there's close to no margin for error - only the best will get through and we need to be leading that pack from the get-go otherwise we won't have a hope."

"I've been told by the KFF that expectations are high, and they should be for a tournament of this nature - this is the one everyone wants to win, and we want to be in that mix competing. Which means we had to make some tough choices with who we bring with us to try and achieve that goal."

Haberkorn currently has her contract due to end at the culmination of this cycle, and while recent performances have been a disappointment for a nation quickly expecting more and more, there is a feeling that the stability provided by Haberkorn is something no-one wants to unseat easily. But should the Blue Cats fail to fire in their campaign for a return to the World Cup, her seat might begin to warm up quite quickly. Katzeburg kick off their campaign immediately with a must-win game against the Pot 3 side in Group 21 - Natkr at Katzestadt Arena, before they travel to face Europeasia in their first away game of the 100th World Cup cycle. If Katzeburg want to seriously challenge for a World Cup spot - they'll need to pick up six points from their first two games.

After a shock exit from the race to qualify for the 99th World Cup, came more worry for the fans of the Crpostranian team, as the nation found itself at war with it's neighbor, Cothe Saria, after several months of tensions following a military coup in their country. With threats to "eliminate any Crpostranian figure", The government upgraded security cover for the players, and sent most of the stars abroad (with many even getting dual nationality status). The CFA thus decided to call upon a joint military squad, featuring players from the Army, Naval, Air Force, Strategic Force, Reserves, MARINs and the Coast Guard's football team. This lead to a devestating performance at the recent IAC, where the team was unable to bag a single win, and not go through to the knockouts for the first time. The newly constructed home stadium of Crpostranian club Aalakru Forest F.C, the Hub is the most modern stadium in the state of Almeros, after the CFA infused billions into renovating & building new sports infrastructure (including taking over 70% of costs for club facilities), as it seeks to create a good environment for future international tournaments. The stadium hosted its first few matches at the previous WCQ.

Team Cassadaigua- World Cup 100

We’re back?!
Kind of, but not really. The Queen has accepted a proposal to return the nation to World Cup competition as a one-off for the monumental 100th edition. It comes with a catch.

That catch? All players must have a tie to a member of the World Cup 50 championship roster in some capacity, with every player from the World Cup 50 roster being represented. This tie could be that they are a relative or simply the best player from the same hometown. Or the same school, college, etc. They will have the same role on the team as their World Cup 50 counterpart. The roster size is the same as the World Cup 50 roster, even though recent Cassadagan rosters have had a few more players as reserves.

The result is that this is not the best team that Cassadaigua could field for World Cup 100, and the nation does not expect to win many, if any games. But we’re not back to win, that’s for all those people with aspirations of getting to where we’ve been or maintaining their legacy. We wish them the best in that endeavor. We are simply back to celebrate!

This is not the most glamorous place in Cassadaigua, but it is the place where our first ever international home soccer game was played. Therefore, it is chosen as our home stadium. If you’re coming here, you can still find things to do on the port and some halfway decent beaches. The city itself seemed to focus all its efforts on the port, so while that area is very nice and attractive, it is the rest of the city that needs a makeover.
