Choosing scorers/scoring events is the default nature of doing a match report RP before your opponent. Godmodding scoring events means you're doing outlandish things in those scoring events (goals kicked from the other side of the field, 500 foot home runs, "immaculate reception" type touchdowns, etc). Most RPers are fine with you RPing normal events with their teams, but the statistically unlikely/impossible occurrences aren't as welcomed.
Ohhh... so that's what it is, I am learning as well. I will admit, for the "godmodding" part, I thought it was not about outlandish stuff and more of "overriding what the other player wrote", thus the godmodding part.
Thanks for the answer, much appreciated!
Yeah, generally once one player posts a match report, the other player is forced to abide by that account. They can add stuff or re-contextualize it (or even ask the first player for some changes), but you're normally stuck with what you've got. Overriding the other player's post is seen as bad form and not really related to RP permissions.

Technically if a nation doesn't post permissions in NSS you get free reign. Though it's not very sportsmanlike to start going crazy with godmod-type scoring just because the other nation hasn't posted a roster. They could just be late to posting their roster and might not appreciate someone doing weird things to their team.
