We have some exciting new to report from Declansburg.

As of yesterday, the first phase of the transition to our new regional government has been completed. On that note, I'm excited to take over the reins as Declansburg's Prime Minister, and I'm happy to introduce our new Minister of Foreign Affairs: The Five Clanlands.

Korbalis (known as Korvalis) will be returning for another term as Deputy Prime Minister, making her nation the longest-serving officer in a continuous role in regional history.

We're also highly anticipating the result of upcoming elections for Attorney General, which will be followed by elections for Secretary General - an old position that will be returning to our regional government to manage the Declansburg Assembly.

Beginning last week, my office has already completed an embassy review, ensuring that our embassies are in conformity with our embassy policy. The review resulted in three cancellations: Liberal Democratic Union (anti-communist), Liberty Democratic Alliance (below 10 WA nations), and Democritus (inactive).

Looking ahead, I have full confidence in the team we've assembled so far, and I'm happy to say my office has already got to work coordinating with other ministers and helping the new MFA learn the ropes. We're aiming to be a very transparent administration - fully informing nations within Declansburg to our WA votes in realtime, and encouraging more participation from our members.

Some recent happenings in Declansburg to report. Following a Constitutional amendment that created the position of Secretary General (a map-based RP position), we've had six candidates step forward to vie for the office. This is a record for us with candidates in contested elections, and it's really a representation of our vibrant RP as a region. Voting for that race will begin this weekend, and more candidates could still enter.

We've also wrapped up elections for Attorney General, another map-based RP position that handles matters of prosecution for the Declansburg Assembly, our internal map-based governing body. Congratulations to Tryust for winning that election, which came down to the wire.

The Prime Minister's Office is happy to report new embassy construction with the region of Starlight. This evening, my office happily accepted their embassy request. This widens the relationships Declansburg has with Anti-Fascist tagged regions, and is symbolic of the support we send to healthy, growing communities. We look forward to a future of friendship with Starlight.

Declansburg is happy to provide a brief update to how things have been going for us as we kick off 2025.

First of all, we give a major shoutout to Staidear and the crew that took down Gendercritical with Operation Vibe Check. Capturing this region was a long-running operations of ours. This region was captured because transphobes are a danger, and transphobic ideology is a danger. We will not hesitate to act when it comes to stomping out this ideology.

Secondly, we're happy to report continued health of our region over the past several months. In 2025, our region continues to have active election cycles and our nations continue to explore the complexities of our regional map. Our sporting leagues continue to attract interest, and the hall of our regional government continues to buzz with life.

In 2025, Declansburg's resolve in the face of intolerance is stronger than ever. Our regional military, a nimble and now a significantly experienced force in the realm of anti-fascist operations, stands ready.

This year we also seek to widen our circle of friends. We are grateful, beyond words, for the friendship of our allies. We seek to only grow upon our relationships: ready to explore new partnerships, embassies, and consulates.

This will mark our third year of being a top 50 region within the WA power rankings. We intend to keep earning our spot among the great regions and look forward to reporting the state of Declansburg as remaining strong by this time in 2026.

I find it curious that someone from a region the “values freedom highly” seems to think that means they should be able to spout hate speech but draw the line at people existing as they please. But that is typically what I expect from people who complain about “DEI” and “woke”, because usually it means that a minority has dared ask for a modicum of respect.

Well would you look at that, we missed posting the second edition of The Illuminator here in our Official Regional Embassy in March! I take the fall for that one!

Fear not. I conveniently dropped a link to our March edition above and you can get your finger back on the pulse of Declansburg with the Third Edition of The Illuminator, released THIS WEEK!

Our Minister of Communications, Junemeau, has done just a fantastic job as the editor of our first regional newspaper. The current edition features stories about Declansburg's increasingly populated regional map, the introduction of infrequent ritual slacker sacrifices, and catch some of The Illuminator's world news coverage with stories about the Sunrise Pact, elections in Starlight, and a new policy in Blue Ridge. Oh, and catch Part 1 of my new series: 22 Years of NationStates: A Cautionary Tale ( ) - I hope you get a chuckle out of it (it was fun to write, Part 2 comes out next month).

PM's Quarterly Report

As the calendar turns to August, Declansburg will be celebrating the 4th anniversary of our founding (on August 4).

As we near that date, I'm happy to report that as the celebrations will be underway, Declansburg remains a strong, healthy region - one with a vibrant culture of natives and contributors. As Prime Minister, it has been an honor to see the continued cementing of Declansburg's legacy as an active region on the world stage, and as one with a storied past.

Our regional map has remained prime real estate, after all these years. A constant flow of new nations has kept our internal affairs as a region interesting and complex. I think this is a good time to thank anyone who has participated in our region in good faith in the past. Our continued success is thanks to dedicated natives, and they help make it all possible.

Beyond Declansburg's borders, there has been upheaval. These times have been challenging, in many ways, but it has been a privilege to be PM as we weather the storm. Out of respect for the region's tradition of unwritten 1-year term limits with the PM office, I've previously announced that I will not seek re-election in November. I don't plan on endorsing any candidate, and will be keeping my vote private.

I do, however, have almost full confidence that the voters will elect someone who will show up. 99% confidence. Those are pretty good odds.

Statement from the PM's Office

Only two days out from the 4th Anniversary of Declansburg's founding, we bring you a major diplomatic announcement. Declansburg and the vibrant, independent community of Vibonia have agreed to construct embassies.

I'd like to thank Vibonia's WA Delegate, Senitca, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Picairn (Champaubert) for their help in establishing this exciting new chapter. Vibonia citizens, please stay tuned for more updates from Declansburg, as the weeks and months progress.

We also encourage our residents in Declansburg to review future updates from Vibonia on the Declansburg Regional Forums, and at our embassy thread on Discord in the near future.

For the remainder of my term as PM, I'll be serving as Declansburg's ambassador to Vibonia, just to get things off the ground and running. That's all for now! Thanks for reading.

Ridgefield and Declansburg Agree to Build Embassies

We're happy bring you another bulletin of diplomatic news today, with the announcement that Ridgefield and Declansburg have agreed to build embassies.

I'd like to take a moment to also thank Haymarket Riot (HR) for their assistance to getting this embassy constructed. As I explained to HR, Ridgefield is a region we're very proud to build closer ties with. We believe being friends with regions like Ridgefield can help us learn even more about longevity as a community, which is certainly a continued ambition of Declansburg.

This moment also represents the first time Declansburg has held embassies with a region in the Augustin Alliance. It's a proud moment for us.

To close, I'll also announce that I'll be serving as ambassador to Ridgefield, like in Vibonia, until the end of my term in November, just to get things up and running diplomatically.

Statement from the Prime Minister's Office

Declansburg is pleased to announce the beginning of embassy construction with The Plains of Perdition.

It is known that Declansburg has long-held the Primarch and Lightbringers of Perdition in high regard. As such, with the construction of mutual embassies, we are excited to open a new door that will strengthen our ties with The Plains of Perdition. We're also looking forward to exploring new avenues of cooperation.

Our Minister of Foreign Affairs, Junemeau, will handle the appointment of a permanent ambassador once embassies are completed, but I will gladly remain an envoy on behalf of Declansburg to foster continued growth in this new chapter.

In closing, I'd like to extend my gratitude to Primarch Rhaza and Minister of Foreign Affairs New Opolopia for agreeing to embassy construction and promptly approving our embassy application.

We're a region that can be pretty set in our ways. So little things matter. Like a banner change. Or a flag change. It's like when the whole town shows up check out the new linoleum floor someone just got installed.

I digress.

So we changed a little thing, because every month is pride month in Declansburg! But it's not a little thing to us, because we care. Our new lovely rainbow lettering in our WFE reflects this.

As we head into November, I'll be entering the final weeks of my term as Declansburg's Prime Minister. While this may not be my final update here as PM, it is well known in the region that I've opted not to seek re-election. This decision was made to give someone new a chance to lead the region, and it was made in the spirit of PMs past who have opted for similar paths.

One of the things that makes Declansburg special is the region's collaborative spirit. This spirit largely carries into our voting patterns in the WA. Usually, we vote as a bloc. The reasons are clear. We have established a tradition of transparent, open, and engaged PMs. People here are used to trusting their PM. I'm happy to have been a part of that legacy.

To the region at large, which decided to give me a chance at this. Thank you. Being Declansburg's founder continues to carry a multitude of responsibilities in our system, which our members are well aware of. That said, being PM is an entirely different experience. It's a new one for me. I haven't really existed in a position that eclipses my role as founder. Now I have, and it was an honor.

As for our region, I believe my term ends with Declansburg in a stronger position than when I arrived. We have more friends, we're a year older, a year wiser, and better for it. Sometimes, time can be the greatest determiner of stamina. My goal has always been to ensure that Declansburg can withstand as a community. And the simple fact that we stand here today proud of where we are as a region is the greatest measure of success.

I look forward to fully assisting the next nation to be elected PM, and continuing my contributions in other ways. Thanks for reading.

Hello everyone!

I am Korvalis (Korbalis), and I am deeply honored to serve as the newly elected Prime Minister and WA Delegate of Declansburg. Having previously served as Deputy Prime Minister for the past three and a half years (jokingly referred to as the "Forever DPM"), it is a privilege to continue supporting and representing our regional community in this new capacity.

As Prime Minister, my goal is to build upon what my predecessors, Staidear, Vobron, and New Bradfordsburg, have each contributed over the years. I intend to preserve the spirit of cooperation and friendships they've fostered while further expanding upon our diplomatic horizons. In this regard, I am excited to work alongisde New Bradfordsburg, now serving as our Minister of Foreign Affairs, as we pursue new partnerships and work to establish embassies with likeminded regions.

We have a brief statement. Last night Evergreen Battalion resumed antifa operations with a detagging operation in Imperium Hellenia, which was listed as a fascist frontier before our operation - the only one with more than one nation residing in it (they had two). Needless to say, we removed the tag and made some changes.

This operation is significant mainly because it marks a resumption of Evergreen Battalion's antifa operations. As part of our mission, we seek to deny safety to fascist frontiers. We'll keep an eye out for any others that could arise.
