Yeah the Jewish hate is kinda crazy. A friend of mine recently got death threats for being Jewish and "supporting genocide" even though they actively protest against Israel. That being said, I don't think the current republican party are the guys you want to go with if your dealing with antisemitism. Jewish Space Lazers an all that.

Oh there's been a ton of gaslighting about wage growth in particular, I've encountered a lot of that personally in the past few months. Yeah, it's great it outpaced inflation this year, but what about the past several years? Lotta folks are still struggling, and it's not exactly like the country is becoming more livable.

Shit, pretty much everyone in my friend group, regardless of income, has just written off the idea of home ownership at this point, which isn't exactly a great feeling and doesn't make you super hopeful for the future.

We've done a good bit of work on it, new doors, new windows, the yard is much nicer, etc. Its current estimation is half a million dollars. It's insane how rapidly normal people were priced out of home ownership.

I live in a little shit stain of a town right now where the average where is like $25k-35k per year (which means I make above it at a little under 40k) and houses here go over $100k for shitty run down homes and rents are generally over $1k a month. It’s insane.

Granted, a lot of stuff doesn't stick to him, but at a moment where he's really pushing for Latino voters (particularly Puerto Ricans in Allentown and the ATL suburbs), this is the last thing he needs. Even if it dissuades a small number of Latinos from voting for him, that could make all the difference.

Indeed. It probably won't change many votes, but given Puerto Ricans are heavily concentrated in places like Philly, that could be disastrous for him. Of course, if these people voted already, then it won't matter, but there's a good chance that a sizable portion haven't voted yet. And based on those comments that came from that rally, it seems to have fired up some Latinos.

NPR was leaning way, way into it all day. Some of that has to be down to a slow news day otherwise. Or I just kept tuning out. Really a rainbow of possibilities.
