The New Pacific Order and Lazarus, in an effort to acknowledge the friendship and goodwill between their regions, have recently established a formal treaty of alliance through the Treaty of the Olives.

We hope to continue what is a new era of communication and mutual support, and work to ensure stability and sovereignty in both of our communities.

The United Regions Alliance (URA) and The Pacific (New Pacific Order) are pleased to announce the signing of a landmark treaty which begins a new era of cooperation and mutual understanding between our two governments. This treaty, it is hoped, represents a significant step forward in our shared commitment to peace, cooperation, stability, and prosperity in our regions.
Formally known as the "The Long Road Treaty," the treaty outlines a framework for collaboration in a number of areas including security, culture, and World Assembly affairs. This historic agreement targets our dedication to working together for the betterment of both of our communities in NationStates.

Senator Appointments and Retirements

The New Pacific Order is working on a number of internal changes.

Jar Wattinree, Waterfall State, and Greyghost have elected to become Senate Advisors, stepping down after years of exemplary service. While all of them are moving on to other endeavors, they will continue to advise the Emperor, Regent, and Senate in all matters relevant to the New Pacific Order and its well-being. They have served the New Pacific Order brilliantly, and their day-to-day operational expertise will be missed greatly.

As the only thing more certain than cessation is more work, Marinas Island has been plucked from the false peace of retirement to serve as the Senator of Internal Affairs. Their time away from the Senate has allowed them to flourish in cross-branch cultural and operational endeavors, and their current role will allow them to continue to do so while focusing back on NationStates and its own processes, including overhauling several of our internal affairs departments.

Finally, not content with the workload he already had, Syberis has accepted an elevation to the position of Regent, where he will now oversee the various internal functions of the region as well as continue to manage the foreign affairs of the New Pacific Order. He will henceforth be treated as the primary point of contact for all affairs regarding The Pacific.

Further changes will be announced as they occur.

When I took the throne as Emperor, the New Pacific Order’s affairs were in a state of total disarray. We were in the midst of one of the largest political scandals in modern NationStates history, the fruits of generations of former leaderships' inability to separate their overzealous ambitions of conquest, dominion, and engaging in petty squabbles or meddling with the internal affairs of other regions, exporting our activity to those regions, rather than focusing their energy on bettering The Pacific.

In the years since, we have been able to achieve the goals I set out with. We restored stability by moving away from the history of reckless foreign affairs decisions previously landing the Pacifican government in scandals every few years. Domestically, we made widespread changes to our governance structure to prune years of accumulated bloat and crafted a vision for the New Pacific Order’s future.

With these goals and more accomplished, my final act as Emperor is to appoint Xoriet as the first Empress of the New Pacific Order. She has recently returned to activity in NationStates to work on several areas she has experience with. I will be sticking around to help advise the Senate and continue work on a variety of projects.

I have high expectations for the New Pacific Order’s future and look forward to continuing to see the plans we crafted during my time in office, as well as new layers built on top of that foundation, come to fruition.
