DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF ABANHFLEFT
NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL TEAM - MEN'S UNDER-21

This will be the twenty-first time that Abanhfleft will be participating in the Di Bradini Cup. The Young Revolutionaries came so close to finally claiming the coveted Di Bradini Cup, only to be stopped on their tracks by a surprise called Elmyia. Yet another attempt at the trophy was foiled by the Vans of Qasden, and while most people are happy that our boys and girls still went home with a bronze medal to show for their efforts, the Samahang Futbol ng Abanhfleft (SFA) remains unsatisfied. It is the Di Bradini Cup or nothing. Roman Aydarov keeps his job as manager of the nation's under-21 team, but his poor performance in the Brevity Cup has put Aydarov's managerial future with the SFA on very thin ice.

Uniforms

Lisander National Teams retains its contract with a famous feline sports apparel manufacturer. For the second year of the current cycle, a "fluo update" in the uniforms reaches the National Elevens. With a new white jersey being released, with a striking fluo-green sash, the second uniform changes from White/Green/White to All White, while the primary uniform replaces its white shorts for green ones, playing entirely in the main national colour as the first option. The first jersey, in two shades of green, was only slightly updated from the look used since World Cup 93, with new fluo green applications in the sleeve cuffs and in the collar.

Youth national teams present a slightly altered jersey, with the words "CHALLENGE" of "FUTURE" printed below the FLF crest.

[Semarland]

SEMARLAND NATIONAL U21 FOOTBALL TEAM, OFFICIAL DI BRADINI CUP 58 SQUAD

Home - Goalkeeper - Away
Kits kindly manufactured by VUCTI Kits

STAFF:
Manager: Demba Cisse, 64
A true footballing legend within Semarland, it seems fitting Demba Cisse is given the post of U21s manager as Semarland return to international competition. Whilst Cisse never represented the U21s on the multiversal stage, he was part of the very first Semarland squad that represented the country at the Baptism of Fire and 69th World Cup. He enjoyed a succesful playing career, starting out at FC Nuholm (where he is seen as one of their greatest ever players), before spells abroad in Polar Islandstates (with RSK Longyearbyen Town) and Cosumar (West Gundar FC), before returning to FC Nuholm where he retired. Coaching wise, he had a brief spell as a national team technical coach, and in the past he has also spent time with FC Nuholm's academy. This marks a new challenge for him, and he's excited to pass on his knowledge and wisdom to the next young generation of Semarland players.

Assistant manager: Emmanuel Acheampong, 50
First team coaches: Marc Saxstrom, 50 and Melvin Mossanke, 50
Goalkeeping coach: Carlos Cone, 51
Fitness coach: Dejae Smith, 44
Physio: Anders Norregaard, 53
Acheampong, Saxstrom, Mossanke and Cone are all former FC Nuholm players themselves, almost mirroring the senior side's Sporting Saint Adrensburg coaching connections. None of them ever made it as full Semarland internationals, but all had some amount of youth caps and solid Premarligaen experience. But what really matters is their coaching expertise, and the quartet make up the trusted support to Cisse's leadership. Fitness coach Smith and physio Norregaard both each have 20+ years experience, both with FC Nuholm and Semarland at younger age levels in the past.

PLAYERS:
GOALKEEPERS:
#1 - GK - Mahlakai Clark - Age 20 - FC York
#12 - GK - Darren Mondelez - Age 19 - Jansberg Laguna
#13 - GK - Hassan Yeboah - Age 20 - FC Nuholm
Despite FC York's relegation, Mahlakai Clark thoroughly impressed between the sticks, and if it wasn't for the 20 year old's performances York's season will have certainly been a lot more abysmal. It's likely that both he and Darren Mondelez will be moving onto bigger and better things this pre-season, whilst Hassan Yeboah aims to break into FC Nuholm's first team on a regular basis after impressing deputising for Polarian Elia Eggum in IFCF competition and sporadically in the Premarligaen.

DEFENDERS:
#2 - DR - Jaden Hamilton (c) - Age 20 - Eikborg Club
#3 - DL - Valentin Stevenson - Age 21 - FC Matovallanen
#4 - DC - Tairon Oakes - Age 19 - Sporting Matrolvik
#5 - DC - Marlon Bokadi-Brown - Age 20 - FC Jansberg
#18 - DC - Parbjorn Thorvaldursson - Age 20 - FC Nuholm
#19 - DR - Kyrese Makengu - Age 19 - FC Jansberg
#21 - DL - Felix Kangwa - Age 20 - Sporting Matrolvik
#22 - DC - Felix Kayembe - Age 20 - Krsthaven
Jaden Hamilton is at a crossroads in the sense that he's got another young, extremely talented full back to compete with at club level, and the U21s captain is likely to be loaned out by Eikborg Club to obtain regular game time. Wing-backs Valentin Stevenson, Felix Kangwa and Kyrese Makengu didn't feature as regularly last season as the likes of Hamilton, but will hope to break in on a more consistent basis in 2054/55. Centre-back pair Marlon Bokadi-Brown and Tairon Oakes hold the most promise, ably deputised by Felix Kayembe and Parbjorn Thorvaldursson, the latter a hidden gem snapped up by FC Nuholm after impressing for OS23.

MIDFIELDERS:
#6 - DMC - Brandon Bailey-Martin - Age 19 - Kangemark Sport
#7 - AMR - Nico Cartmell - Age 19 - Sorensen Park Rangers
#8 - MC - Soren Norgaard (vc) - Age 19 - FC Nuholm
#10 - AMC - Zaymel Carson - Age 19 - Sorensen Park Rangers
#11 - AML - Jahmal Euell - Age 21 - Kangemark Sport
#14 - MC - Khyrone Scott-Bishop - Age 19 - Fransborg set Njilkaer
#17 - DMC - Paul Akinsegun - Age 18 - FC Kolberg
#20 - AMC - Richard Likenza - Age 20 - FC Nuholm
#23 - MC - Marcel Palmer - Age 21 - Sporting Saint Adrensburg
Vice captain Soren Norgaard broke into FC Nuholm's first team last season, and the combative midfielder duly impressed in the middle of the park. Whilst he's not the finished product just yet, he's filled in as a #6 or an #8 (even briefly as a #10), but as an #8 linking in between defensive and attacking midfield is where he truly excels. Partnered alongside Kangemark Sport's Brandon Bailey-Martin and one of the standout talents of last season, Sorensen Park Rangers' Zaymel Carson, midfield is perhaps one of Semarland's stronger areas this tournament. Wingers Jahmal Euell and Nico Cartmell were both regulars for their sides, and there's plenty of interest in the two going into the transfer window.

FORWARDS:
#9 - ST - Femi Wright - Age 20 - Sporting Solsholm
#15 - ST - Lindon Jonsson - Age 21 - Knaben Town
#16 - ST - Bakasso Kilioglu - Age 20 - Molsbik Arkjet
Femi Wright is a typical modern versatile forward - not necessarily an out-an-out #9, more of a complete forward who is capable of filling in on the flanks or behind the main striker if required. Lindon Jonsson on the other hand is most certainly an old school #9, and was the joint-top scoring U21 forward alongside Molsbik Arkjet's Bakasso Kilioglu last season. Kilioglu was one of Semarland's most impressive players in the last Di Bradini, and there's an inkling that he may well be involved with the senior team this upcoming World Cup. If he impresses as much as he did last time around, there may well be truth to that rumour.

STYLE OF PLAY
WHEN ATTACKING
The general style of play for these Edsmons is passing along the wing. The wingbacks usually charge up, and will dribble as much as they can.
These tactics lure the players in the center, which leaves enough room for a thru ball towards the center.
A lot of tiki-taka as well as pressing is played, and sometimes all 10 players will be up the field. The wingers serve as bait, standing in "good" positions for receiving the ball to lure the opponents.
WHEN DEFENDING
IN a defensive position, center midfielders turn into defensive midfielders, and wingbacks stay down. The attacking 3 do all the work, with the assistance of the midfielders, not the wing.
The Edsmons are careful to leave holes, but are weak against crosses, and lob balls.
GOALKEEPING
Goeln is mainly a sweeper keeper, rushing out into play a lot if the defense crumbles.
Since he is fast, there is almost no way to dribble around. Due to his painfully quick assumptions and short height, chips do work on him. However, expect teh defense to stop the ball before it gets in.
Forsteov, which may only play if Goeln is performing badly or injured, plays in almost the same style as Goeln. However, he does not take many risks and likes to stay at the net. Being tall, he can win headers which can make last minute comebacks easy. As for chips, it is almost impossible.
However, he can rush out, and dribbling around him is simple.

[Valanora]

32 entrants have been gotten. Unfortunately Edsmontik was the thirty-third entrant and will be denied a place in the tournament. The RP and scores thread is up.
