Just an abbreviation of my main nation, which is "New South Mindanao" translated to Filipino. But since this is an "evil" version, I just put the word evil on it

The verb for "living/to live" in Old Norse is "lifa." This was softened to "leva" in Swedish and Norwegian and "leve" in Danish. Since Lievenland's smack dab between both + a neighbor to Norway, I decided to follow the softening of the 'F' that Danish experienced and the vowel shift Swedish experienced, and added in the "-in" ending tacked onto verbs in Lievish to make them usable as nouns/parts of nouns. "-land" is a common suffix in all three Germanic languages, and is even used for Germany's native name for itself (Deutschland), so that was added as well.

Therefore, "the living land." Very literal.

Cerespasia is a quasi-portmanteau of two of my other nations that came before it, both were murdered in cold blood by none other then the moderation team in front of my own two eyes in an act of justice for my seemingly vile infractions, those nations being Cereskia and Arpasia. Since Cereskia came before Arpasia did, it would only make sense that the first five characters of this new nation's name would come from the first nation I created. It also serves to commemorate both Cereskia and Arpasia, who lives on in the hearts and spirits of the many people who I've encountered here, both the best of friends and the absolute worst fuckwads out there.

May my dignity in this godforsaken, wretched, writhing hot mess of a browser game and it's dedicated forum never get dragged through the mud ever again.

Well, I was originally planning for Berlina, but it was taken by a dead nation, so I decided to brainstorm some ideas for a name starting with "Ber", or just "Be" in general, and there you have it, Beliras.

The name was conceived as a deliberate nod to Jonathan Swift's Laputa, from his book, "Gulliver's Travels", merely altered to sound more Rhanukhani.

When first introduced in the regional roleplay of England it was a regular island, but I planned to transform it into its more exotic present state from the start and chose the name as a bit of foreshadowing (it had been named The Isle of Tantrum prior to Rhanukhan taking possession of it). I don't know if any of the other players guessed what was coming. The Symyan character, Kyookumbarr's name is also a reference to Laputa (you may recall the Laputan scientist's experiments involving cucumbers in the book if you've read it), serving as a really oblique hint regarding his relationship to Lehpuhrta's governor, Constantine Malachite/Chonmiklatt. I doubt that anybody spotted that one though - it was pretty arcane.

Gesaria actually came from a school project when I was using the name Uul-Gyesar(meaning land of Gesar) as my project nation which was in the Himalayas.I eventually just changed it to Gesaria when i created this nation to be more English because I got the original term from translating into Mongolian.

Also btw,Gesar is a famous epic in the Himalayas especially in Tibet.

Experina came from Exper, which was a name I used for a custom nation from another game, And Exper and Experia were occupied so I chose Experina, and the rest is history.

Tesseris was named as such after the landmass/continent created by Deus in the aftermath of the Divine War. It was created in the shape of a warbeast with four heads, so its name was based on this number. The name comes from a language commonly spoken from the gods, though its origin is unclear, with some far reaching theories suggesting it originates from a realm elsewhere.

Rhanukhan is named for and partly based on a country I'd invented in my childhood games decades ago. Upon joining a certain online nation simulator game many years later, using that old name naturally appealed so I took the opportunity. Even today, its history and culture are littered with oblique references to those original childhood games or other aspects of my life.

It has a different etymology these days (being a portmanteau of the Rhanukhani words, "rhan"/river, "ukhii"/people, and "han"/land - "The Land of the People of the Rivers"), but I'd originally created it by loosely corrupting the name of the Rancor monster from "Star Wars".
