Synopsis:
Underground 2 is the sequel to the 2014 action movie Underground. The Plot follows Agent Alejandra Cortez (Kala Luisina) who works for the SICPA (Saint Monkey International Crime Prevention Agency) as they search for an international crime lord, named Crime B (Jonathan Stewart). He took control of fictional nation Moria, spiraling the nation into anarchy. In the first movie Agent Cortez attempted to stop the crime lord, however left the end of the film at a cliffhanger, as she was thrown off of a dam. Underground 2 will continue to plot onwards. There is also a 3rd film expected to be released in 2026, to finish off the series.

Originally planned in 1991 as a CGI movie for the 10th anniversary of the Battle of Sidra over the Gulf of Sidra, where a pair of EF-7M Sturmvogel IIIs stationed in Libya shot down four F-14A Tomcats over the Gulf of Sidra after a pair of Su-22s were shot down by US Navy, marking the first air-to-air engagement and victory against U.S. forces in air combat. The original film was planned to happen in 1991, but due to the Gulf War breaking out in 1991, and major redirection of funding to Military purposes, the film was canceled, and put into cold storage until 2011, after the Libyan Intervention war, where the film re-gained popularity. It was in 2020 when the Radio Glasburg picked up the original 1991 film project, dusted it off and brought back parts of the old team, and new members to make a new film using the original footage to-be-used in the original 1995 film, using Optik-7 to get hyper-realistic CGI shots, based off FLIR, IRST sensor, and ground radar recordings, along with combat logs and personal accounts from the pilots. The total documentary had a budget of 140 Million NSD, and combining it with the initial film's budget puts it at 160 Million NSD.

"Jalan Mati" tells the story of the struggles of the SDF (Sarawak Defense Force) fighters trapped in Sambas, Indonesia, during the Sarawak Darulhana-Indonesia confrontation. The narrative centers on four main characters: Prajurit Laila Hisyam Johan from the Marapati Unit, Prajurit Jazli Nas from the Sempadi Unit, as well as Jururawat Aisyah Badrul and Jururawat Hannah Joran from the Nursing Unit.

Their mission begins with a covert operation to gather intelligence in enemy territory. However, the operation fails when they are discovered by Indonesian forces and are forced to retreat into the dense jungles of Sambas. Isolated and without communication, they must fight to survive while seeking a way out of enemy encirclement.

Prajurit Hisyam Johan, a determined young leader, strives to maintain the morale of his team despite mounting pressure. Prajurit Jazli Nas, skilled in tactics and navigation, becomes the group's hope in traversing the perilous terrain. Meanwhile, Jururawat Aisyah Badrul and Hannah Joran bravely tend to the wounded and provide crucial moral support during critical moments.

After Prajurit Hisyam and Jazli recover, the four continue their search for an escape route near the Biawak-Aruk border. However, the situation becomes uncontrollable when the Indonesian Air Force bombs the border area, forcing the four soldiers to retreat towards Singkawang. There, they must disguise themselves as Indonesian civilians.

Prajurit Hisyam disguises himself as a meatball seller, Prajurit Jazli as a laborer, while Jururawat Aisyah and Hannah pose as cooks in a Chinese restaurant in Singkawang. With their ability to speak Indonesian dialects, they manage to avoid suspicion. Their mission is to gather intelligence at the Indonesian National Army camp, but at the same time, Aisyah falls in love with an Indonesian man named Aryanto, leading to conflict with Prajurit Hisyam, who reminds her of their primary mission. Aisyah, however, refuses to heed her leader's advice.

As they live their lives as "Indonesian citizens," internal tensions and personal conflicts arise, testing the loyalty and determination of each member. Aisyah decides to leave the SDF and settle down with Aryanto, unaware that he is an Indonesian spy. Aryanto ultimately captures Aisyah and takes her to an undisclosed location. There, Aisyah regrets not following Hisyam's advice. She is forced to reveal the whereabouts of Hisyam and the others, but when she refuses, she is killed.

This news reaches Prajurit Hisyam, prompting him and the others to abandon their intelligence-gathering efforts and focus on escaping. They disguise themselves as beggars and mosque donation collectors in Singkawang to gather money for their escape from Indonesia. They encounter Kyai Surhani, a prominent cleric from Matan, who guarantees their safety and helps them stay at the Kalijaga Islamic boarding school, eventually aiding their return to Sarawak Darulhana. Kyai Surhani is also a strong opponent of the Jakarta dictatorship.

At the end of this drama, while on their way to the Aruk-Biawak border, they are detained by the Indonesian National Army. Tensions escalate when one of Aryanto's agents reveals the presence of SDF soldiers in the truck, leading to their capture attempt. However, before the agent can finish speaking, Soldiers Hisyam, Jazli, and Nurse Hannah escape the truck and make their way towards Sarawak Darulhana's territory. Nevertheless, the Indonesian military aggressively invades the Aruk-Biawak border, prompting the SDF Border Unit to open fire. The continuation of this story will be told in "Jalan Mati: Season Two."

"Jalan Mati" is a tale of courage, sacrifice, and resilience. It portrays how the SDF fighters face uncertainty and threats from all directions while maintaining hope of returning to their homeland. Throughout this arduous journey, they learn the true meaning of brotherhood and bravery.
