It was a Friday night, and Ambis was impatient. He was unlocked, and wanted to DO something! Rosa gave him her assent to go tagging on Sunday, so it was set.

Ambis pulled together a group of people, and things were going well! There were some of their own angelic spirits, and they managed to find a literal dragon. They managed to get in a couple of hits, and then, oh no! Ambis had to go!

Well, he was still kind there, just not really. So Rosa pulled together a new trig sheet, and they started going again. However, those pesky defenders were all up in arms, so they came after them.

However, they couldn't stop them! They kept going, managing to amass a total of 10 hits! wow!

Behold the grand procession of the divine! The Cherubs, heralds of the Astra Deus, announce His majestic arrival. At His side stands the Vox Dei, a towering Seraph with a singular eye encircled by radiant wings and rings of light, embodying His voice and heir to His celestial throne. Marching alongside are the archangels, wielding their glowing swords, guarding the sanctity of His presence.

Among them shines the Archkeeper, paragon of power and the Astra Deus' most trusted servant, orchestrating the Celestial Order with her chosen five, the Keepers. Each Keeper commands over five temples, overseeing every intricate aspect of the Order's domain.

Adjacent, the Supreme Harbinger and the Supreme Intercessor stand, embodiments of judgment and divine will, presiding over angels and the realms below with impartial grace.

As the ceremonial rites unfurl, the Celestial Order begins!

The Archkeeper
The Archkeeper guides and is ultimately responsible for running the Celestial Order, ensures consistency of political and administrative action, drives and coordinates the work of the Keepers and the Celestium, and performs all the other duties conferred upon him/her by divine law. Chosen among the archangels, the Archkeeper is the right hand of the Astra Deus and is the second most powerful divine being in the Celestial Order.

The Keepers
The Keepers are the trusted chosen five of the Archkeeper; they rule over different temples and aspects of divinity in the Celestial Order. These include the Temple of the Sanctum, the Temple of the Realms, the Temple of the Nexus, the Temple of the Arts, and the Temple of the Worldly Sphere. These archangels were personally chosen by the Archkeeper to form the Celestium, along with the Archkeeper and his/her Keepers.

The Supreme Intercessor
The Supreme Intercessor is the archangel who leads the Angelic Assembly, passing divine decrees and carrying the word of the Astra Deus to the angels of the Celestial Order. They are responsible for the primary decision-making and law-making institution, creating new laws, repealing existing laws (even divine decrees), ratifying or revoking treaties, and confirming nominated officials such as Harbingers and Intercessors, the voice of the Celestial Order.

The Supreme Harbinger
The Supreme Harbinger is the archangel who leads the Archangel Tribunal, the highest judicial body of Astoria. The Archangel Tribunal holds the authority to review the constitutionality of laws, judge the legality of government actions, settle disputes between angels, and preside over all criminal cases. They are responsible for reigning judgment over the Celestial Order and maintaining the sanctity of fairness and justice.

Slams table FINALLY, we've completed the re-theme! Well, that took ages—more than half of my second term as Prime Minis—oh, Archkeeper, yes. So, what inspired this grand transformation? Well, my dear friends, the idea of a re-theme had been swirling around Astoria's Celestium for months before my first term. The motivation behind it? Astoria, despite its active role in R/D, interregional affairs, and Gameplay as a whole, just didn't stand out. It was your typical NS democracy—nothing particularly awful, but nothing thrilling either. So, why not shake things up a bit? That was the question I posed to the executive government when we brainstormed ways to spice up the region. Drawing inspiration from Astoria's pièce de résistance, Operation Eden, the idea hit us like a bolt from the blue—heck yeah, let's go heavenly hosts!

After a few more weeks of planning and hush-hush on the re-theme front (thanks to events like the Astorian Awards, Christmastoria, Alcatraz, and a few other distractions), the goal of my second term was clear: give the region a makeover. Coordinating it was the easy part: nudge Unike and Sateru for a Google Form, release it, gather suggestions, and bam—set up a voting form. More than half of those suggestions were angel-themed (the idea had been floated multiple times before the vote started), but the one that stole the spotlight was Heavenly Hosts. Sure, there were other options like NSLeft and... Horse, but let's face it—Heavenly Hosts was way cooler, so we rolled with it. After some "persuasion" involving legendary cards with about 5 folks (it's not corruption, it's strategic lobbying), Heavenly Hosts clinched victory with a whopping 60%, leaving the other suggestions in the dust.

Hooray! Theme selected, now what? Skip ahead a few weeks and countless table slams later, and voilà—the theme team unveiled the Celestial Order! Is it better than the Crowned Republic? Oh, absolutely, and you'd be hard-pressed to convince me otherwise.

Astoria and the Lair of the Dragon proudly declare the signing of the Treaty of Divine Treasures! The Lair of the Dragon has stood as a steadfast ally of Astoria since long before its integration into Raiderdom. Through numerous raids ~~and crossmembership~~, the Celestial Order and the Great Hoards have recognized the mutual benefits of solidifying this alliance with a formal treaty.

This pact marks a significant stride in the unlikely friendship between our two domains—one adorned with the blessings of God, the pursuit of Glory, and the soaring spirits of Dragons!

Preamble
Recognizing the current friendly relations between Lair of the Dragon and Astoria,
Seeking to further this friendship and establish a set of commitments to further the prosperity of each region,
Hereby enacts as follows:

Article I - Recognition of Legitimacy

The Great Hoards of Lair of the Dragon (“The Lair”) and The Celestial Order of Astoria (“Astoria”), hereafter collectively referred to as “the Signatories'', are the two parties engaged by and bound to the articles of this treaty.
The Lair recognizes The Celestial Order and its Astra Deus as the sole legitimate government of Astoria.
Astoria recognizes The Great Hoards as the sole legitimate government of Lair of the Dragon.

Article II - Cultural Connections

Both signatories shall maintain the presence of on-site embassies between each region.
Signatories shall maintain a representative to each others’ preferred platform of communication.
Signatories are strongly encouraged to invite citizens of each region to their major cultural events.
Signatories are further encouraged to plan and host joint cultural events for both regions, when time allows for these events to be planned.

Article III - Roleplay

Citizens of both signatories are encouraged to participate in the respective roleplay activities hosted by each signatory.
Astorian citizens are directly invited to participate in the roleplay activities hosted by The Lair.

Article IV - Regional Security

Signatories shall provide to each other information that may present a risk to either signatory’s regional security or stability.
The signatories shall strive to reveal as much information as possible in this regard, but are not obligated to share information that may compromise the legitimate activities of the region sharing this information.
Signatories shall not engage in espionage activities against each other's home region, or any territories of the Signatories as established by each respective government.
When able, Signatories shall come to the defense of each other’s home region or other holdings.

Article V - Non-Aggression Pact

The Signatories shall pledge not to plan, lead, or participate in military action against each other or their holdings.
When strategy and policy allow, the Signatories shall strive to work together on military engagements, such as;
1. Providing opportunities for the members of each Signatory’s military to participate in each other’s military engagements.
2. Supporting occupations led by either Signatory.
3. Striving to plan and participate in joint military operations.

Article 6 - Modification and Withdrawal

Either Signatory may present amendments to this treaty, which shall be enacted with the mutual assent of both governments.
Either Signatory may withdraw from this treaty by notifying the other Signatory of their withdrawal.

Originally, the region was not designated as Do-not-defend. However, after the region fell into the hands of the updaters, the DND designation was swiftly filed and accepted mere hours after the frontier was seized. This development was met with dismay by the problematic natives. Thus commenced the inaugural phase of Operation Codebreaker: the systematic dismantling of Brebina.

OPERATION FUNNY BONE
An intriguing opportunity presented itself. One of the key reasons behind the raid on Brebina was the identification of a regional officer with fascist inclinations, originating from a fascist region. This link could be easily traced back to its source.

On January 5th, during the Major Update, a mere 12 hours after Brebina was wrested from fascist control, the region of The Coalition of NS Fascists found itself without a governor. Recognizing the strategic advantage, Codebreakers from Kantrias, the Red Fleet, and the People's Revolutionary Air Force seized the moment. They orchestrated a dual occupation in a single operation, leveraging their substantial numbers in Brebina. There existed no valid reason to let this golden opportunity slip away. Less than a week later, the fascist cesspit was obliterated and refounded in the hands of Anti-Fascist forces.

OPERATION SHATTERED GROUND

There exists no sanctuary for fascists and their allies, whether in frontiers or strongholds. As long as there are anti-fascists prepared to oppose them, their defeat is inevitable. This truth manifested itself in the events that unfolded here.

Following the seizure of Brebina by the Codebreakers, a successor region promptly emerged under the name of Pentarchia. It was marketed as NS' premier right-wing region, openly welcoming fascists and bigots. Undoubtedly, numerous eyes coveted this prize, yet a significant obstacle stood in the way.

The region was behind by a locked door.

No legion of Codebreakers could breach it, and even if they could, any victory would be fleeting. A solution was imperative, a method to dismantle the stronghold without shifting a single pillar. Enter one of the original developers of the Codebreaker Antivirus, Improper Classifications. Improper is a man of diverse talents, but his prowess as a developer is most notable for his ability to dismantle fascists from within.

Upon dispatching one of his concealed anti-viruses to the malware-infested region, the leaders of Pentarchia welcomed him with open arms. Through subtle manipulation, he secured a government role, positioning himself as the primary successor to its Head Consul. Fate intervened when, a mere 36 hours after assuming office, Head Consul Gorutimania vanished without a trace, leaving behind only a small pillar badge next to his name.

Sunbreaker's persona ascended to the throne, and at 8:11 AM EST on January 17, 2024, Fractures executed a swift operation. They cleared the region, secured it behind a password, and left a single nation to oversee the region and its purported 150 RMB pages. Thus concluded 111 days of clandestine operations in Coloniam Solis and later Pentarchia.

This was the most dramatic episode of the raid, shocking everyone involved. Never before had a stealth raid concluded so rapidly and seamlessly. But Improper had done the impossible.

This singular operation etched 2024 into the annals as an unparalleled and tumultuous fashbash of its era, and rest assured, it was merely the inaugural act. Operation Codebreaker is destined to carve its indomitable presence in the chronicles of NationStates—a resounding embodiment of the unyielding Anti-Fascist ethos. Regardless of the elusive trails fascists may tread, they shall be relentlessly pursued, their platforms decimated without mercy. No refuge will be granted to those who peddle hate, no matter where they go.

Recognizing the opportune moment, Astoria and its allies united with determination to systematically obliterate as many remnants of this rotting empire as possible, leaving nothing but smoldering ruins in their wake.

If there is one abhorrence that Astoria holds as vehemently as fascism, it is the insidious presence of homophobia and transphobia cloaked in the guise of divine righteousness. Those who dare to invoke the name of God as a flimsy veil to mask their bigotry will find no sanctuary within the hallowed halls of Astoria's domain.

Tonight, 150 regions were seized, razed, and obliterated, with 110 falling victim to those proudly waving the flag of Astoria. Whether held aloft as their standard or brandished at their side as a staunch ally, they stand together under one banner.

The land where destiny was made.
January witnessed the merger between Astoria and Arcesia, a once vibrant and active RP region that was the original home of many of Astoria's founding members. Following the retirement of Arcesia's previous governor, Repolet, from NationStates, he entrusted the founder account and governorship to his friend Astoreus. This decision elevated Astoreus to the role of Monarch of both Arcesia and Astoria, a transition that occurred on August 18th, 2023.

Despite efforts to revitalize Arcesia, the region gradually succumbed to inactivity, with most members either inactive or having migrated to Astoria. Following thoughtful deliberations involving Repolet and the other Monarch, Rulsolia, it was unanimously agreed that merging would best serve the interests of both communities.

On January 11th, 2024, Astoreus formally announced the closure of Arcesia and its merger with Astoria on the regional discord. Members who hadn't yet transitioned were directed to relocate to Astoria. As of today, the vast majority of Arcesians have seamlessly integrated into Astoria's community. Concurrently, the region has been placed under lockdown for an indefinite amount of time, with an Astoria-appointed governor assuming control, ensuring the region will be kept safe while the merge is still ongoing.

"WHAT WAS ARCESIA TO YOU?"

On January 21st, 2024, Astoria officially joined Antifa, NationStates' military unification of Anti-Nazi/Fascists, an organization that has spent two decades vehemently denying fascism a platform to propagate hate, tyranny, intolerance, and oppression.

If there is one value that Astoria holds above all, it is the unwavering belief that fascism must be eradicated at any cost. This commitment is non-negotiable. Astoria dedicates itself to combating fascism relentlessly, firmly believing that hate has no place in society.

For Astoria, and particularly for me as the Archkeeper, Anti-fascism fuels our resolve to fight the good fight. In less than a year of existence, Astoria has dismantled over a hundred fascist regions. It is undeniable that Astoria's dedication to this cause is resolute. Wherever fascism rears its head, we will stamp it out without hesitation, reducing its ideology to mere dust.

When I joined the Brotherhood of Malice in August 2023, I stumbled upon an intriguing card bearing the motto "The MT Army will save NationStates from hate." Curious, I clicked through to the region, discovering a chapter of history previously unknown to me: NS Antifa. Fascists indeed existed on NationStates, and we can dismantle what they've constructed.

That realization ignited a fire within me. The rich history of two decades of anti-fascism resonated deeply. My purpose became clear.

A month later, as a member of Warzone Trinidad, I spearheaded Operation Cabaret—a 17-day campaign spanning numerous deltips, tags, and refounds. Its climax was the occupation and obliteration of Federation of War Criminals. The experience was enlightening; combating the fascist movement while enjoying it felt like a dream fulfilled. Subsequently, I orchestrated Operation Eden in Sacrumterra, formerly the fourth-largest fascist region on NS, and now Operation Codebreaker, which, by now, you are likely familiar with.

The fight against fascism is deeply personal to me and to Astoria. The opportunity to thwart it and shield others from its influence is noble. I stand proudly beside like-minded individuals who have fought this battle for years.

Astoria will not waver in its mission to obliterate the spread of fascism.

Fight the good fight! Let the defeat and destruction of fascism serve as a beacon—to the community, as a reminder that it is never too late to take up arms, and to the fascists, as a reminder that everything they build will crumble, wherever they go. THE ARCHKEEPER'S ADDRESS
Astoria, before and now, going forward

Well, this community never fails to disappoint, does it? This past month alone, Astoria has grown so much. With every action we take, we prove just how capable we are. We may be new, but by the Astra Deus, don't we put in 110% for everything?

In January, we grew by over 100 nations, and our delegate has seen consistent numbers of endorsements of 50! Our military has only grown as well. We can bring updaters and pilers to keep up in occupations. We're proving our strength not just on the battlefield, but on the command side of things too. Operation Codebreaker, the burning of Raxulan, and our continued efforts and loyalty to the cause of Raiderdom only prove to me just how dedicated Astoria is to its goals.

Not just that, but community-side, we have grown greatly as well. The roleplay has never been more active, same as our Discord, our RMB... Well, we just don't stop. Astoria is growing at such a fast rate I don't even think I could keep up with it. The efforts of the Celestium in managing the region can't be understated, and for them, I am forever grateful.

What about the other things that happened? Uhh, uh.... I'm writing this at 12:00 AM and I'm kind of out of my mind right now, so, firstly, Astoria has joined Antifa, we signed a treaty with Lair of the Dragon, apparently, we got sanctioned by some guys called the MGC, whatever that is, and we have merged with our predecessor region, Arcesia. A bunch of stuff happened, yeah, even I've forgotten.

Oh wait, we also had a new theme! Yeah! Heavenly hosts!

Well, I have nothing more to say that hasn't already been explained in the earlier articles.

Honestly, I have never expected Astoria to grow this fast, joining one day after Omni bribed me to join his new raider military, and look at where we are now, everywhere you go, you see Astoria! Well, that's partly my fault for being everywhere and practically being Astoria's face, or something, whatever, but it's so surprising to me that something I never expected to spend much time on is now this amazing community, and hey, no matter what, we'll just keep doing what we do best.

Deluding ourselves with impossible goals that somehow end up... Coming true? Anyways, Astoria 500 nations by June, write that on your notes.

One last thing... I've been feeling very sick lately, like, existential crisis level sick, so for the sake of my own sanity and health, I will be taking a break from management and the executive, probably just... One or two weeks. As per the constitution, the role of acting Archkeeper falls onto the Keeper of the Sanctum, and that would be Catgirlboss, Sarah was the last Archkeeper (Prime Minister) before my term, and I am fully confident in her ability to lead Astoria in my absence while I do normal human things, like sleeping on time.

As always, I'm a raider, and I do not think, thank you to Astoria for being amazing as always, we'll keep doing our best to keep it that way.

February-Mid March

Activity Overview (February-March)
During the month of March, the region experienced extreme growth, with the number of nations increasing from 300 on February 1st to 378 on March 15th. As of the writing of this report, the region has reached 385 nations and 70 endorsements on the delegate. The growth of Astoria remains consistent, and being the largest increase of endorsements in the span of only a month and a half, with the end of recruitment on Dot, recruitment has slowed down a little, but Astoria remains at a consistent 380 nations.

The Celestial Order
March Elections

Rosartemis appointed Archkeeper.
Astoria but Norwegians/Arstotskiano appointed Supreme Intercessor.
Archangel Shadow appointed Supreme Harbinger.

During this election season, there were a total of 25 votes, the largest turnout Astoria has seen from its angelry, with coming changes to the voting system, this is expected to change.

THE ARCHKEEPER'S ADDRESS
What a time to be Astorian!

Every time I make these reports, I am absolutely blown away by just how much we've grown: over 20 endorsements and another 80 nations. It's absolutely insane, and we've maintained those numbers with zero issues. We're on the delegate voting chart now, and we're consistently breaking activity records. The dedication people have in this region warms my heart. When I joined Astoria in September of last year, I had not expected it to become this—a powerful community that has reached far and wide in NationStates in barely nine months of existence. We haven't even had our first birthday yet, and yet we've already come this far. I am excited to see just how much farther we can go in the coming months, and I attribute all of this to the dedication of this community.

Enough with the greetings; let's talk more about last month and what I plan for this term going forward. Last term, I promised big things, and I've delivered on the most major one of all: the retheme. From the Crowned Republic to the Celestial Order, we took a massive gamble to set ourselves apart from other regions, and it's safe to say that it has worked greatly. Our recruitment numbers shot up, the number of people interested in our region due to the theming has certainly increased, and we have generally become a much more appealing region than we were before. Gone are the days of the Crowned Republic; now we reside in heaven as the Celestial Order, quite the upgrade if I do say so myself.

"But Rosa, you also promised us more things—" SHUT UP. I know. I failed to deliver on two of them: the recruiters and the forum-discord merger. This is a big failure since I promised two months ago in my second term that I would complete that agenda during that term, and yet here we are. At the very least, Astoria has quite a few recruiters now, but I haven't finalized the other aspects of it, such as recruitment rewards and the Astra flag change reward. We'll be doing that, I promise... Yes.

I'll get it done this time. The retheme was a massive endeavor that I had not expected to take that long to finalize, but regardless, we completed it anyway. So now we have more room for it. I'm bumping the merger as the top priority for this term, and you're free to scold me if I end up not doing it.

On the other hand, we've succeeded in revitalizing and keeping active four of the ministries. So much so that we're actually having staffing issues—not from having too little staff, but from having too much. It's awkward. The Temple of the Arts remains consistently the most active temple, with several events planned ahead of time. Despite all odds, they still have it together. The Keeper's hands have switched though. Back then, Unike primarily served as our Keeper of the Arts, but now he runs the Temple of the Nexus as its Keeper. So his Vice-Keeper, Magna-Scientia, took his place as the Keeper of the Arts. Magna has remained consistently active and dedicated to the Arts, and I have great faith that he will do well as its Keeper. The Temple of the Nexus has also become active. Originally, the Integration Committee for welcoming new members was in the hands of the Temple of the Arts, but the duty of integration has now been switched towards the Temple of the Nexus, which now handles the recruitment of new spirits and angels. The Temple of the Realms, much to its detriment, is still run by Omni. I know, I know. You're free to curse me out as much as you want. Astoria's foreign affairs are run by the most skibidi of all GPers, and I regret to inform you he still remains on that throne, much to my regret. Either way, the Realms are flourishing as always; we have completely filled up ambassadorial positions and have a couple of embassies planned—more friends for the Order! The Temple of the Worldly Sphere has also become active. We now release WA recommendations when needed and have functioning WA policies. As a natsov, I do regret to inform my fellow natsovs that our Worldly Sphere is intfed. I can't stop crying either. Anyways! The only remaining temple left that has yet to be revitalized is the Temple of the Sanctum. The problem is the Sanctum's duties are unclear, and many of its duties were integrated into the different temples—that being integration from the Arts before and recruitment from the Nexus. But now that left the temple barren and without purpose. So for this term, I plan something to ensure that this temple gets the revival it deserves.

Now, let's dive into my individual reforms.

AGENDA 1: Forum Discord Merger
Self-explanatory, there is now much more incentive to complete this agenda this term. Part of the reason why Astoria struggles with voter turnout is the forums. While there isn't anything inherently wrong with the forums, they are a bit inconvenient to use for elections, legislative voting, and so on. It would be much more convenient if everything were on Discord: citizenship, elections, voting, campaigning—all as simple as opening up the app and going into the respective channel. It would make things much, much easier. If this agenda is completed, it would ensure that Astoria has a strong voter base that is always able to... vote early, vote often. Nevertheless, this would solve many of the problems Astoria had back when it was first established, and this change would be welcomed by the community as a whole.

AGENDA 2: The Word of Hermes
Now, what were the problems we had earlier with the temples? Regional newspapering was a duty the Nexus had, but that meant that the Nexus would then become the most overworked temple, considering its vast list of duties. I always make sure that my Keepers and their staff are treated the best they can be; I don't want to stress them out. So, splitting the duty of handling reports and newspapers to a new temple— the Temple of the Chronicum—would really help the region out, and help me out because I'm lazy. The Temple of the Chronicum would handle the regional news, releasing new monthly reports, and a new thing, the Word of Hermes, Astoria's newest regional newspaper. Members of the Chronicum would write articles about all the new stuff happening in Astoria, to be released at the start of the month. Be it internal politics within Astoria, military, cultural, or even roleplay, you would find that in the newspaper. And no, this is certainly not in line with my role in the East Pacific as the Minister of News; you're lying to yourself, absolutely.

The idea behind the Chronicum was proposed to me by my Keepers somewhere around last month, along with a proposal for rearranging the Celestium with Sateru, Magna, and Unike all changing or being granted jurisdiction over a temple, as opposed to their (or at least Sateru and Unike's) old temples, changing hands and duties to better fit their skillsets. I believe separating this as a new temple would be far more beneficial than just plopping it into the hands of the Sanctum or the Nexus, and I'm excited to see just how our new regional newspaper will go.

AGENDA 3: The Houses
This is one absolutely experimental addition, and one that I am very excited to implement in the near future. You see, Astoria has one hell of a thriving culture; we pride ourselves on our community and our unity. So, we decided to be evil and propose Houses that angels could join! Muahaha! Well... No, not really. The idea behind houses, clans, or factions began long before the retheme, but it was scrapped at the time because of how complex it was. However, now with how active Astoria is, I view this as a much more positive addition to Astoria's already amazing community.

The Houses would essentially be factions or clans that the angelry could join. They could contribute to writing lore, expanding the region, or competing with each other in various events. It would be a purely cultural thing, one where angels could vie to grow their own Houses and make them stand out from the rest, rising to the top of the hierarchy, all the while also helping to build the region's distinct identity. Imagine it much like the four Houses in Hogwarts. Again, this idea is very experimental, and we haven't really explored too deeply into it yet, but I intend on implementing this idea soon!

AGENDA 4: Exaltations and Damnations
Mmmm... Regional commends and condemns have been something that interested me for a while, and we have already passed the legislation for this! The idea behind this is to recognize the angels of Astoria who have either contributed greatly to the Celestial Order or wreaked absolute havoc over it. Now, instead of explaining how it works, I will instead just paste the legislation here and assume people understand.

This will be another means for Astoria to recognize its most dedicated, or most evil contributors, I fully expect that there are already a few exaltations or damnations on their way, we'll just have to see!
