Chartistani Bubbling League - Chart Year 65, Season 3

Changes
  • The inaugural Copa Monitor, a competition explicitly for teams based in the Los Platas area of Chartistan, took place after the previous Hot League season, with the winner earning a Hot League spot and the runner-up earning a spot in the Bubbling League, removing a qualification spot from Aria in the process. Ella Baila Sola won the competition and earned a place in the Hot League, while AMG made the Final and as such made the Bubbling League. This process is expected to continue for the foreseeable future.

The teams competing for the first time in the Bubbling League (With the relegated teams from the Hot League as exceptions) are:
  • AMG (Aria League via Copa Monitor Final)
  • Calm Down (Billboard League)
  • I AM (Gaon League)
  • Last Night (Billboard League)
  • Miracle (Official City League)

Teams highlighted in italics qualified for next season's city leagues via a Finals qualified team promoting to the Hot League.

Chartistani Hot League - Chart Year 65, Season 3 (City/Regional Breakdown)

All results listed are from the previous Hot League/Bubbling League/Copa Monitor season

Billboard
The capital city of Chartistan, Billboard is home to one of the more advanced footballing infrastructure in the country, including but not limited to both of Charitstan's national stadia throughout the country's history - Chubby Checker Fieldhouse and Old Town Park. Clubs in Billboard outnumber every other region in Chartistan combined when it comes to Hot League representation. It does help that the city is home to two districts chock full of clubs as well as the original dominators Rockstar and an up and comer named... Angst.

Italics represent clubs from the Cana District
Underlines represent clubs from the Musicville District

Official City
The spiffiest of cities within Chartistan, Official City hasn't been home to any major contenders in the Hot League for quite some time, but it's home to some pretty considerable clubs, with Really Love and Levitating key figures in their roster. Of course Unholy, another Official City club, were in the Hot League last season but were relegated from their division.

Cold Heart (6th in Blinding Division)
Head & Heart (9th in Blinding Division)
I'm Good (Blue) (14th in Blinding Division, won Demotion Playoff)
Levitating (4th in Rockstar Division)
Really Love (9th in Hot League Final Round)
Running Up That Hill (10th in Rockstar Division)

Gaon
Sometimes known as the most competitive city or region within Chartistan, Gaon is most known for being home to the most dominant club in Chartistani history, a team who won the Hot League-Heatseekers Cup double and nearly made the Champions League groups... D. T. M. While Don't Touch Me haven't gone to the girl-power, league-busting heights that they used to, they still are a critical club when it comes to the history of the Hot League.

Oh yeah and they also have the reigning Bubbling League champions.

Ditto (12th in Hot League Final Round)
Don't Touch Me (10th in Hot League Final Round)
Dynamite (7th in DTM Division)
I Can't Stop Me (11th in DTM Division)
SET ME FREE (Bubbling League Champions, Promoted to Hot League)
Step And A Step (8th in DTM Division)

Los Platas
The region with a voice that wasn't heard, the Los Platas region has played a role within the Hot League, holding onto its current top dog Vida de Rico in the process, but hasn't had an easy path for its clubs, some of which could've ran wild on the Hot League if it weren't for the fact that they had to be lumped into Billboard when it came to qualifying for the Bubbling League or the fact that the callup process didn't really accommodate them. Their voices were finally heard when the Copa Monitor, a competition meant mostly to give Los Platas clubs a pathway to the Hot League, was born. And at just the right time too, as Los Platas could have a challenger to Vida's throne all its own with Ella Baila Sola, who won the first Copa Monitor.

Amor Ou O Litrao (10th in Vida Division)
Agua (6th in Vida Division)
Ay, Dios Mio! (4th in Hot League Final Round)
Ella Baila Sola (Copa Monitor Champions, Promoted to Hot League)
Mi Nina (13th in Vida Division)
Tattoo (4th in DTM Division)
Vida de Rico (Hot League Champions)

Oricon
The forgotten black sheep of Chartistan, the Oricon region, as well as the city of Aria (Who have no clubs in the Hot League), have had the least representation within the Hot League, not even fielding a single club that could challenge for the Hot League title. Perhaps the club they're most known for, Kakai Kikan, had their name famously botched to Kakai Titan, and it actually stuck. Their only other club, Dry Flower, has been holding onto dear life in the Hot League for the longest time. There are clubs out there that, if given the light of day, could represent the region more than Typo FC, but the Copa Monitor is the only option, should an Oricon team be invited in the first place. They're the region without a voice, and they need their voice.

Dry Flower (12th in Vida Division)
Kakai Titan (8th in Vida Divison)

Chartistani Hot League - Chart Year 65, Season 3 (Division Stage)

Notes:
  • Unholy, Kill Bill, Neko and Enemy were demoted from the Hot League last season. They were replaced by SET ME FREE and Love Not War via the Bubbling League, Ella Baila Sola via the Copa Monitor and Players from the traditional callup process.

15 Hole In The Bottle 28 6 4 18 34 55 −21 22 - Demoted to Bubbling League

For once a team's name was exactly like their performance... And another's was the exact opposite. Musicville side Hole In The Bottle were sent plummeting down to the surface, leaking all the most goals of from their backline of any team in the Hot League, tied for that distinction with a team 5 places higher in their own division. No wine was obviously served for their demotion party. Gaon's I Can't Stop Me actually collapsed due to the sheer fact that they were found out by a certain team named Physical, who they said copied their attacking style down to the tee. In a world where you can be sued for copying attacking style, that actually hurt. Lo and behold they placed below Step And A Step, Holy and Dynamite to earn the second to last spot in the DTM Division, with the namesakes winning the division title. CUFF IT return to the Final Round, and the lamentable Big Energy also slide in. All 3 teams had no trouble advancing.

Newcomer Ella Baila Sola, who earned a spot in the Hot League by winning the new Los Platas-based Copa Monitor, performed up to the lofty expectations hoisted on them. Some called them the next Vida de Rico, a Los Platas juggernaut that could go toe to toe with the Housebuilders (Yes they were founded by workers at a construction company) after a few seasons. They earned an 6th place finish in their division, even if they could've finished as high as 4th if everything went according to plan. Focusing more on family does have its downsides.

Blinding
Blinding Division Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts

13 Driver's License 28 8 5 15 33 48 −15 29
14 Positions 28 8 4 16 36 48 −12 28 - Demotion Playoff
15 I'm Good (Blue) 28 6 4 18 28 49 −21 22 - Demoted to Bubbling League

The opposite could be said for Champagne Night. Another team from Musicville, founded by a group who according to officials sounded a bit more like some of those slave trading forums found through the multiverse to the point where they had to change their name, they were a team who could from time to time hang with the big boys - 2 Heatseekers last 16 appearances and a 9th place finish in the first 58 team Hot League could prove that - But they were never dominant or even great until the tail end of the 58 team league era and the start of the division era. And now they've only gone and won the Blinding Division title over Really Love and Flowers. They scored as many goals as Mood did this season for goodness sake!

Sitting at the bottom of the table, however, were a team so hated by some for being forced into the Hot League via the CHLC that they had to reintroduce the Bubbling League and eventually introduce the Copa Monitor. I. G. B. I'm Good (Blue) weren't as leaky as Hole in the Bottle, but it was good riddance for the corporate jokers. Longtime Hot League veterans Positions, however, might meet their maker - They were sent to the Demotion Playoff after a fierce battle with Rich Flex and Driver's License... Even as they gave IGB the goodbye chants on the final day of the season.

Rockstar
Rockstar Division Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts

13 Creepin' 26 6 8 12 30 42 −12 26
14 abcdefu 26 3 8 15 26 50 −24 17 - Demotion Playoff

Level of Concern winning a division title. If you said they would do that when they were a National League club (Yeah remember when Chartistan had a 5th division?) you would be laughed out of the building. But in a world where, if this were a pyramid that made sense Fake Woke would be a 2nd division club, this feels extraordinary. A team that felt lucky to be in the Top Half during the split table era won the Rockstar Division title and could have a genuine shot at the IFCF competitions. Yes, 3 Headed Goat were there as they always were, but the trigramme "LOC" and the phrase "Rockstar Division Champions" never felt more out of place even with that as reality.

A team that turned heads at the start of the season were the all-female outfit known as Players. Barely getting the now sole callup over Last Night, the team with the motto "Girls is players too" ended up placing somewhere known as mid, behind Bloody Valentine and that team of conspiracy nutjobs known as Fake Woke. I mean, what do they know about living at the top when they struggle against Mad at Disney and Whoopty? MAD were a team that was once in the Challengers Cup but still. At least they weren't... 17-point abcdefu. Man saying that feels absolutely justified given how childish this team is...

Vida

13 Mi Nina 26 5 7 14 20 35 −15 22
14 Love Not War 26 5 4 17 23 49 −26 19 - Demotion Playoff

Tattoo winning the Vida Division may feel like something extraordinary, but the defending Hot League Champions in Vida de Rico had to deal with something else alongside their usual Vida Division escapades. You see, there's this competition called the IFCF Champions League that the Hot League champs from the previous season enter, and VDR just so happened to become the first Chartistani team to reach the coveted group stage. Such a historic accomplishment, naturally, came with its challenges, and the routine of having to bounce between playing Arlington City and H or H in the same week did a toll on the Los Platas squad, ultimately squeaking past Kakai Titan and Got What I Got to secure a spot in the Final Round. While the monetary riches of making the big dance would be enough to carry VDR to further glory, would they still have the gas to head back to IFCF competition...?

Demotion Playoff

Leg 1
Positions (BLI) 1–1 abcdefu (ROC)
Love Not War (VID) 0–1 I Can't Stop Me (DTM)

Oh wait I didn't talk about Love Not War. Yes, they actually were promoted straight back up from the Bubbling League alongside Gaon's SET ME FREE. Yeah, a team in all caps as if we forgot that CUFF IT exists... While the Bubbling League champions went well in the Liga B, LNW were about as weak as their bassline, and against the Physical tactic ripperoffers it didn't mean much at home. They already had one foot in the door back to their old stomping grounds.

Meanwhile abcdefu prove that 17 points was just them preparing for this stage because the divisions aren't all equal.

Leg 2
abcdefu (ROC) 2–1 Positions (BLI)
abcdefu win 3-2 on aggregate and stay in the Hot League Rockstar Division
I Can't Stop Me (DTM) 4–0 Love Not War (VID)
I Can't Stop Me win 5-0 on aggregate and stay in the Hot League DTM Division
Positions and Love Not War are demoted

Positions, Positions, Positions. Where were you the last time they were an actual competitive club? Probably when they last won the Heatseekers Cup. Yes, the FINAL Heatseekers Cup, as the competition was swiftly retired and the team proceeded to tumble down the table. Now they've hit rock bottom - Losing to bloody abcdefu and getting demoted to the Bubbling League. At least look on the bright side, at least you aren't Love Not War hitting the door on the way out to a copying machine!

Chartistani Hot League - Chart Year 65, Season 3 (Final Round)

Rules
  • The Final Round of the Hot League pits the top 3 teams from each division against each other to decide the champions of Chartistan. Each team will play each other once for a total of 11 games. The team top of the table after the final set of games are crowned Hot League champions and earn spots in the IFCF Champions League and FFI League of Victors, as well as an Associations Trophy berth if they don't qualify for the Champions League or Challengers Cup groups. Second place will earn a place in the Challengers Cup and League of Victors, third and fourth place will enter only the IFCF Challengers Cup, and the remaining 8 teams will participate in a Heatseekers Playoff to determine the FFI Confederations Trophy participants.

NOTE: The trigrams after a team's name represent which division they're from. DTM represents the DTM Division, BLI represents the Blinding Division, ROC represents the Rockstar Division and VID represents the Vida Division.

Matchday 1
CUFF IT (DTM) 3–0 Level of Concern (ROC)
3 Headed Goat (ROC) 0–2 Tattoo (VID)

3 Headed Goat (ROC) 2–3 Don't Touch Me (DTM)

Standings after Matchday 4
Final Round Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Tattoo 4 4 0 0 12 5 +7 12 - IFCF CL, FFI LoV

5 Really Love 4 2 1 1 9 8 +1 7

11 3 Headed Goat 4 0 1 3 3 9 −6 1
12 Agua 4 0 0 4 1 10 −9 0

Los Platas might experience the changing of the guard. Vida de Rico, the biggest club in the region, the Housebuilders that have fought and pushed themselves to success after success when the playing field was leveled, were behind in the table to another team from their region. Whilst not having faced VdR yet in the final round, Tattoo had won every single one of their games thus far in the campaign, even defeating Champagne Night when the Housebuilders couldn't. Yes, CUFF IT are still unbeaten like them, but they had a couple blemishes that prevented them from going any higher. The only question now is whether or not Tattoo will earn the title good enough to eat.

Matchday 5
Don't Touch Me (DTM) 1–1 Level of Concern (ROC)
Flowers (BLI) 0–5 3 Headed Goat (ROC)
Champagne Night (BLI) 1–0 CUFF IT (DTM)
Big Energy (DTM) 1–4 Tattoo (VID)
Agua (VID) 2–1 Angst (ROC)

Los Platas is perhaps the hardest region to not only to get a footing in the football scene (Considering that they didn't have a formal system to getting into the Hot League without invites until the Copa Monitor came along), but also to play in. Tattoo's ground seemingly vanished, alongside their undefeated run, when they played Agua and Vida de Rico, the two other Final Round teams from the region, back to back. Both of them were humbling losses, but it wasn't VdR who capitalized and would join CUFF IT in pursuing the Hot League title - The revenge match against Angst was a thing that existed - but instead a team from out of nowhere.

Champagne Night were the only team from the Musicville neighborhood of Chartistan's capital city Billboard in this Final Round, and yet they sat in second place with IFCF and FFI football in their grasp. Musicville hadn't won a single Hot League title even with the bevy of teams from the neighborhood, but this was the closest they have ever gotten. The team didn't really have a bottle service budget or a squad budget, instead plucking promising up and comers that costed a dime or less. That strategy was working so far, so it seemed. Sometimes you don't have to be fancy to be crushing the competition.

Of course, there were the teams below the top 2 to worry about. With 3 games to go, CUFF IT, 3 Headed Goat and Level of Concern were all 5 points behind Tattoo and currently in a grudge situation to get the final two Challengers Cup spots. Hot League titans VdR and DTM were 7 points behind and, unlike the previously mentioned three, needed miracles to occur in order to even get IFCF football again. Really Love and Big Energy, whilst still technically in the title hunt being eight points behind the lead, were practically eliminated from title contention. Angst were mathematically eliminated from the hunt even if last season they could've won the title off of VdR's hands. Agua and Flowers join them in the bottom of the table, essentially looking forward to the Heatseekers Playoff as their only shot for any international football.

It still didn't mean that Angst couldn't play the role of spoiler. Tattoo traveled up to the feistiest team in Billboard knowing that a win could've put them one foot in the door when it came to the title after Champagne Night succumbed to Level of Concern in a contest that could've thrown CHN out of the title picture and LoC into it. All Angst were playing for was, seemingly, Heatseekers Playoff positioning, as they were to face DTM if the league ended on Matchday 8. From there, the pressure was all placed on the Los Platas outfit before Angst, in typical fashion, scored goals that would feel right at home in a edgy short video with some sort of edgy music in the background. You could even throw in a clip of a fictional character being depressed and you'd sum up how Tattoo were feeling. They would have to do this all over again on Matchday 10, but this time knowing that a Champagne Night slipup could mean that they would win title if they scored all 3 points.

When it came to the IFCF race, all hell seemingly broke loose. DTM went back up to Los Platas to face Agua for the third time this season and came away with a 2-2 draw, whilst CUFF IT seemingly broke down against Really Love in a game that could've put them in title contention. Instead, it was the Housebuilders of Los Platas in Vida de Rico who leapfrogged everyone into third place by defeating 3 Headed Goat, keeping their title hopes alive even as they'd need miracles in order to lift the title once more. They and Level of Concern were 4 points behind Tattoo for the title, whilst CUFF IT, 3 Headed Goat and Really Love were 5 points behind. DTM, in their return to the Final Round, were 6 points behind and all but mathematically eliminated from title contention even if they were 2 points behind the IFCF spots (Losing 5-2 to Tattoo does that to you), whilst Big Energy joined the A-A-F club in the officially mathematically eliminated pile.

Ladies and gentlemen, may I introduce you to the Level of Concern Law - Everything that could go wrong for Tattoo can go wrong. Specifically, a certain trip to a Final Round newcomer ended up becoming another Angst-worthy moment in the history of the Los Platas outfit. In a game that would hand Tattoo the title, they only let yet another challenger into the title conversation with a 1-0 loss to the newbies from Billboard, putting them on 17 points and making Tattoo once again look like losers. In fact, there was a chance for Champagne Night to leapfrog Tattoo and earn the driver's seat heading into the final day, but already-eliminated Big Energy stopped them from their fantasies with a 0-0 slog. 3 teams in the title race would be insane, right?

It only got more insane. Yes, Angst knocked CUFF IT out of title contention with a 2-1 win on the road, but challenger number 4 ended up being, of all teams, Really Love. The same team who lost to Blinding Lights in the Heatseekers Playoff Semi-Finals last campaign and knocked 3 Headed Goat out of the title race with a 3-2 away victory which slotted them fourth in the table. The final team would be the defending Hot League champions Vida de Rico, but they were at risk of losing their title shot when they hosted DTM. In fact, heading into the final 10 minutes, they would be out of the title picture and instead the Gaon juggernauts would! Lo and behold, Vida de Rico constructed a tying goal and head into the final day fifth, yes, FIFTH in the table and STILL had a chance to go back to back!

The Title Race
Let's break down the current title picture with all 5 teams. Starting with Tattoo, a win against CUFF IT would secure them the title straight up, and none of the other teams could do anything about it. However, if they draw in Los Platas against the Billboard side, they'd have to hope that either Champagne Night or Level of Concern don't win their matchups, whilst if they lose, they'd have to hope that the other 4 teams don't even score points, ESPECIALLY Champagne Night. With Level of Concern if they end up drawing and the other 4 lose, they can surpass Tattoo and win the league if they plug the goal difference gap.

Champagne Night and Level of Concern, however, travel to Agua and Big Energy respectively on the final day. If either team lose on the road, that's that, Tattoo wins the Hot League. If all 3 of Champagne Night, Level of Concern and Tattoo draw and Vida de Rico and Really Love lose, then Tattoo also wins the title. If both teams draw and Tattoo lose, then Champagne Night win the title. If either team win and Tattoo lose, then the team that wins gets handed the league. However, if both teams win and Tattoo loses, everything's up in the air. Champagne Night and Level of Concern both have 14 goals, but CN have a +4 goal difference compared to LoC's +2. Essentially, Level of Concern have to score two more goals compared to Champagne Night if they both win in order to lift the title. Confused? Thankfully that's the hardest scenario to picture.

4th place Really Love can't win the title with a loss or a draw, they can only clinch the league with a victory. However, should Tattoo also pick up points of any variety, they also don't win the league. They have to hope, on top of their win at home against the titans of Chartistan in DTM, that both Level of Concern and Champagne Night either lose or draw their fixtures in order to win their first title.

5th place Vida de Rico has to play the longest game of them all, however, to go back to back. Winning against 11th place Flowers? Easy. However, they also have to pray that CUFF IT beats Tattoo, Agua beats Champagne Night, Big Energy beats or draws against Level of Concern AND DTM beats or draws against Really Love. And that's if Vida de Rico only wins by 1 goal against second-bottom Flowers. If it's a win by 2, then Agua can beat or draw against Champagne Night on top of the other requirements and VdR win the Hot League again. In addition, they can clinch IFCF qualification if they win against Flowers or if they draw and other results go the way they want.

We're not getting into the IFCF qualification scenarios in detail, but the title race is going to be an absolute cracker.

Matchday 11
Tattoo vs CUFF IT
Agua vs Champagne Night
Big Energy vs Level of Concern
Really Love vs Don't Touch Me
Vida de Rico vs Flowers
Angst vs 3 Headed Goat

...To be Continued.

Chartistani Hot League - Chart Year 65, Season 3 (Final Day)

Let's chart this out based on match importance when it came down to the title picture.

Angst (ROC) 3–0 3 Headed Goat (ROC)

Angst vs 3 Headed Goat was the only game that didn't have title implications. Whilst there was still IFCF implications in hand if other results were messy, it was almost certain that this game would be for a high seed come the Heatseekers Playoff, and theoretically an easier shot at the Confederations Trophy. Angst, therefore, capitalized brilliantly on this opportunity, ironically putting 3 goals past the Goats to practically secure a top seed, maybe even THE top seed in the Heatseekers when the dust settles.

Vida de Rico (VID) 1–3 Flowers (BLI)

Vida de Rico not being in any IFCF competition feels foreign, but in a season where everybody has pushed them, both internationally in the IFCF and FFI competitions as well as in the Hot League, the Los Platas giants faltering was bound to happen. Having the loss that throws them out of IFCF competition and the title race be against a bottom-dweller only wanting to act as spoiler, however, is damning. Flowers, a team that was essentially sold to the bottom seed of the Heatseekers Playoff, have seemingly bought their way into a slightly higher seed as well as anger from the VdR fans. Don't be too mad, they scored a goal...

Really Love (BLI) 2–2 Don't Touch Me (DTM)

Really Love headed into the final day of the Hot League campaign on the most shakiest of grounds, still in the title race but still able to drop out of IFCF competitions. The Official City club were given a big final day test against Gaon giants DTM, enough of a test that fans were having their hearts thumping throughout the entire match, reportedly being in a position for a place at the League of Victors table. Sadly it wasn't to be, as DTM dropped a stunner late in the game to tie the match, at the very least ensuring that they would be in the Challengers Cup.

Big Energy (DTM) 1–0 Level of Concern (ROC)

You might notice a theme with this final day - Title contenders getting outplayed by what some may call "Tattoo Agents" - Spoilers that want to ensure Tattoo takes the Hot League title to their own little corner of Los Platas. Level of Concern's incredible run this season, including that Rockstar Division title and an improbable title run, could only be meant to end. Traveling to Big Energy, as it turned out, wasn't the fantasy they wanted or needed. At least they got a good result out of this whole mess, and that is a trip to IFCFville. Has Chartistan really gone this insane?

Agua (VID) 2–2 Champagne Night (BLI)

Champagne Night's season was about as unexpected as Level of Concern's, and they along with Tattoo were the two most likely to secure the Hot League title come the final day. The only problem about this final day, however, was the fact that they had to travel to Los Platas. The region was quickly becoming a titanic force outside of the obvious VDR powerhouses, and even though Agua were a bottomfeeder in this FInal Round, they could still put up a fight. Enough of a fight to throw the Musicville club into doubt when it comes to that league title.

But it wasn't mathematically impossible yet. They could still win the league if CUFF IT do the job and embarrass Tattoo in their "championship coronation" elsewhere in Los Platas... Right?

Tattoo (VID) 2–1 CUFF IT (DTM)

And I thought Ella Baila Sola were going to dethrone Vide de Rico first...

Copa Monitor - Chart Year 65, Season 3

About
The Copa Monitor is a specially-made competition for the Los Platas region of Chartistan, home to teams such as the perennial Hot League juggernauts Vida de Rico. The inaugural edition saw 16 teams compete, with Ella Baila Sola beating AMG in the Final to win the trophy as well as a spot in the Hot League, with the runners-up earning a spot in the Bubbling League. After the competition was deemed a stellar success by the Chartistan Hot League Committee, the competition expanded to 32 teams - 24 teams from Los Platas and 8 "Guest" teams give or take who, despite not making the city leagues, impressed the selection committee via their competitiveness in sanctioned matches.

The competition starts off with a group stage with 8 groups of 4, with each group being comprised of at most 3 teams from Los Platas and 1 guest team. Two groups had 4 teams from Los Platas since there were 26 teams representing the region. Each team will play each other once at venues within Los Platas, with the top 2 teams from each group advancing to the knockout stage. From there it's single elimination up until the Final. The winners of the Copa Monitor qualify for the Hot League, whilst the runners-up play in the Bubbling League.

NOTE - The "Guest" teams are those highlighted in italics.

Oricon's golden saviors came in the form of Idol this time around, dominating their competition within their region to the point where the CHLC put Kizuna No Kiseki into the Copa Monitor just because they were shafted by "Oricon's Ella Baila Sola". Once actually arriving in Los Platas, the Superstars made short work of their group, which thankfully included putting Moscow Mule, a team consistently robbed of a Hot League spot, out of their misery. The Oricon side had trouble going into the early knockout rounds by letting Coco Chanel equalize in the Round of 16 (They'd get a handy goal later) and by allowing Shorty Party, in a Quarter-Final tie where they were the only guest team left standing, to take the tie into extra time. From there, however, Idol found prospects, even with the greatest of pressures, to be great, and eventually they would seal the deal as Oricon's third Hot League representatives with a 2-0 win over La Bachata.

And right when KAK are punching above their weight, too.

Chartistani Bubbling League - Chart Year 65, Season 4

Changes
  • Due to the implementation of the Copa Monitor into the Bubbling League system, the league formerly known as the Aria League will now be known as the Liga Plataria, a name chosen due to the two areas that the league will represent, being the city of Aria and the region of Los Platas.
  • Due to impending changes within the Chartistani structure, all 12 teams that qualified for the Bubbling League Finals will be promoted into the Hot League structure in time for Chart Year 66.

The teams competing for the first time in the Bubbling League (With the relegated teams from the Hot League as exceptions) are:
  • 0800 Heaven (Official City League)
  • La Bachata (Liga Plataria via Copa Monitor Final)
  • Rush (Liga Plataria)
  • Sprinter (Official City League)
  • Super Shy (Gaon League)
  • Try That In A Small Town (Billboard League)

Chartistani Hot League - Chart Year 65, Season 4 (City/Regional Breakdown)

All results listed are from the previous Hot League/Bubbling League/Copa Monitor season

Billboard
The capital city of Chartistan, Billboard is home to one of the more advanced footballing infrastructure in the country, including but not limited to both of Charitstan's national stadia throughout the country's history - Chubby Checker Fieldhouse and Old Town Park. Clubs in Billboard outnumber every other region in Chartistan combined when it comes to Hot League representation. It does help that the city is home to two districts chock full of clubs as well as the original dominators Rockstar and such up and comers as Champagne Night and... Angst.

Italics represent clubs from the Cana District
Underlines represent clubs from the Musicville District

Official City
The spiffiest of cities within Chartistan, Official City hasn't been home to any major contenders in the Hot League for quite some time, but it's home to some pretty considerable clubs, with Really Love pulling their weight and locking up IFCF football for the region. Like last season, one of their own got demoted, that team being I'm Good (Blue), leaving the roster of clubs a bit... Malnourished, to say the least.

Cold Heart (6th in Blinding Division)
Head & Heart (11th in Blinding Division)
Levitating (8th in Rockstar Division)
Really Love (3rd in Hot League Final Round)
Running Up That Hill (11th in Rockstar Division)

Gaon
With DTM finally finding themselves back in the Final Round, it was only a mask to the hardest season a region has ever faced. Other than the biggest club in the region, most of the Gaon clubs struggled to even finish in the bottom, and for one club demotion to the Bubbling League was almost within sight. It's almost like DTM is carrying the entire region...

Ditto (7th in Vida Division)
Don't Touch Me (8th in Hot League Final Round)
Dynamite (13th in DTM Division)
I Can't Stop Me (14th in DTM Division, Won Demotion Playoff)
SET ME FREE (10th in Blinding Division)
Step And A Step (12th in DTM Division)

Los Platas
The region with a voice that wasn't heard, the Los Platas region has played its newfound role in the Hot League thanks to that, holding onto its current top dog Vida de Rico in the process, while also gaining another team onto their shoulders with Tattoo. It was that final day last season that had five teams within arms reach of the title that saw the Hot League title shift from the House Builders in VDR to the... Well, Artists in TAT. While they didn't gain another team due to an Oricon club winning the Copa Monitor, their roster of elite and not-so-elite clubs has the region becoming as much of a player as Gaon. While still not the biggest of the regions, it's perhaps the region to watch.

Amor Ou O Litrao (9th in Vida Division)
Agua (12th in Hot League Final Round)
Ay, Dios Mio! (6th in Vida Division)
Ella Baila Sola (6th in DTM Division)
Mi Nina (13th in Vida Division)
Tattoo (Hot League Champions)
Vida de Rico (6th in Hot League Final Round)

Oricon
The forgotten black sheep of Chartistan, the Oricon region, as well as the city of Aria (Who have no clubs in the Hot League), have had the least representation within the Hot League, not even fielding a single club that could challenge for the Hot League title. What was once a region with two clubs found itself having three, as Idol, the vaunted chosen club of the Oricon region, would compete in and win the Los Platas-dominated Copa Monitor over the region's own La Bachata. With Kakai Kitan (Yes the club applied to change their name and succeeded) having just missed out on the region's first Final Round appearance by two points, now is the perfect time to get the region into the hearts and minds of the Charistani faithful.

Dry Flower (11th in Vida Division)
Idol (Copa Monitor Champions, Promoted to Hot League)
Kakai Kitan (5th in Vida Divison)

Chartistani Hot League - Chart Year 65, Season 4 (Division Stage)

Notes:
  • Hole in the Bottle, I'm Good (Blue), Positions and Love Not War were demoted from the Hot League last season. They were replaced by Kill Bill and Calm Down via the Bubbling League, Idol via the Copa Monitor and Fast Car from the traditional callup process.
  • No teams will be demoted to the Bubbling League due to impending regionalization changes within Chart Year 66 unless the Chartistan Hot League Committee specifically demotes a team.
  • In addition, since this is meant to be a "transitional" season, extra time and penalties will be used during Division Stage matches. If matches go to penalties, each team will be given 1 point as if the match was a draw.

14 Dynamite 28 7 16 32 50 −18 26
15 I Can't Stop Me 28 5 18 39 64 −25 20

With the impending change towards a regionalized football structure for next Chart Year, the best place to look at how wide the divide between teams in a city has been is with Gaon. DTM, the most famous and most successful club within Chartistan, romped to win their own division 3 points ahead of Billboard's U 2 Luv in 2nd and a full 14 points ahead of 4th place CUFF IT. The closest team from Gaon within their own division? Step And A Step, 26 points behind in 8th. Part of the whole ordeal with DTM is the fact that they usually tend to poach youngsters from other Gaon clubs, strengthening themselves at the expense of the pack. Dynamite and I Can't Stop Me, the only other Gaon clubs within the division, were in the bottom 2. For the time being, DTM were on top of Gaon, but they can always be on top of Billboard too.

The biggest surprise about the DTM Division this season, and maybe the entire Hot League while you're at it, was the scandal involving About Damn Time. If this season were normal, they'd stick around for one more season. This wasn't a normal season for them. At the center of this saga was a scandal involving the head coach of ADT, as he, in his infinite wisdom, decided to mock players because of their body shapes and not because they sucked whenever they played a team better than Holy. Next thing you knew, players were leaving the club en masse or preparing to leave at the end of the season as more details about the club were revealed, including match-fixing the second leg of their demotion play-off against Enemy two seasons ago. When the Division Stage ended, the CHLC forcefully demoted the club mainly due to the match-fixing scandal, with their reputation in tatters. Such a way for coming out...

5 SET ME FREE 28 14 11 49 43 +6 45

14 Driver's License 28 9 16 34 46 −12 30
15 Lemonade 28 9 17 32 49 −17 29

Champagne Night were the first club to pay money for an international signing (The first club to sign an international player is talked about in the Rockstar Division recap) and, true to their mantra of keeping things cheap, they only had to fork over NSD750,000 for the privilege to be that lone club who managed to make history. That player who signed for the Musicville club was Oliver Paul, a 20-year-old defender who, whilst on the bench yes, won the 55th Di Bradini Cup, the under-21 world championships, as a member of that Qasden team. The signing was executed before IFCF qualifiers (Where CPN were knocked out in the third qualifying round by SFPL side L'Unione) and before the extra time rule came into effect for this season, was crucially needed to get through the rough season. Ultimately, the Musicville club known for buying low and selling high moneyballed their way to the Blinding Division title on goal difference, ahead of the division's namesakes. Really Love also solidified their Official City dominance by qualifying 3 points ahead of... Wait, Sunroof? Really, they nearly got Top 3... Anyways without Oliver Paul it is likely that they wouldn't have a shot at the title.

Indeed, with how hard Gaon clubs have fallen as of late, there is a legitimate argument that former Bubbling League champions SET ME FREE were the second best club in the city. While DTM's position at the top of Gaon and maybe even top of the nation might be unchallenged for a while, the upcoming shift towards regionalized leagues could set up a period where both SMF and DTM would consistently battle each other in the top of a hypothetical Gaon League for spots in the Final Round. Hell the only club from Gaon that can come close to them now was the aforementioned Step And A Step, unless Cupid finally were admitted into the multi-division Chartistani top flight (Spoiler alert if you didn't see the Bubbling League: They were). Oricon's sides, however, have plans to join the Gaon clubs in this new competition, which means that DTM could finally have a major rivalry with a certain club that once had its name spelt wrong...

Rockstar

12 Running Up That Hill 26 7 14 36 42 −6 26
13 Creepin' 26 7 14 28 45 −17 26
14 Mad At Disney 26 7 15 28 47 −19 25

Lo and behold Level of Concern didn't replicate the feats they performed last season, as instead of finishing in the Challengers Cup spots, they ended up nowhere near making the Final Round, a full 12 points behind Angst and 8 behind a team we'll get to. Regardless, the storyline of the Rockstar Division was punctuated by a team who didn't know about being at the top until they were actually on the top. Players won the division title on the final day ahead of My Head :(, the world's only team with a Smiliey in their name, who lost the crown via a loss away from home at Whoopty. Regardless, they were crowned the edgiest and best team in the division ahead of Angst. Mad at Disney watches ahead in sheer disgust.

Fake Woke, the most polarizing club in Chartistan, a club where you can pull a hundred people off of the Billboard streets and half would love the club for its truthful values and the other half will hate the club because the whole "Young children love Wep" angle was about three Chart Years too old, became the first Chartistani club to scoop up an international talent... That talent was Spam Who. In hindsight, with how Who's last season playing football went down, you could argue that they were the only club that could have been a plausible landing spot for the problematic goalkeeper from TeaFarmers, but I digress. The whole point of bringing on Spam Who wasn't for attention, but to "reform" the player. If by reform you mean indoctrination, but reforming Spam Who wasn't easy. Who was on a team who said everything was right for him, and he sure as hell wasn't going to do something wrong... Right?

Indeed, throughout the season Spam Who's behavior was documented from strength to strength in the Billboard Gazette, as the reforms didn't do much to get his behavior in check. He kicked footballs straight into the stands and not to the players when he conceded goals (Which happened quite often), shoving some players on a slightly improved abcdefu into the ground, sat down to blow dandelions in the middle of a match which led to a Levitating goal... It all came to a head with 4 games to go in the Division Stage, when Spam Who, echoing what happened at Nova Aegis, rushed up into the away stand and sent Rockstar fans fleeing for their lives. The Chartistan Hot League Committee got word and handed the goalie a 20-game rolling suspension, with Who banned for the rest of this season and anywhere from 4 to 16 games next season depending on if Fake Woke made the Final Round. They didn't, as they finished 6th in the Rockstar Division. Yeah, Spam Who was going to need all that extra time being fixed.

Vida
Vida Division Pld W L GF GA GD Pts
1 Tattoo 26 16 4 54 31 +23 54 - Advance to Final Round
2 Kaikai Kitan 26 15 7 50 44 +6 49 - Advance to Final Round
3 Anti-Hero 26 14 9 41 28 +13 45 - Advance to Final Round

4 Mi Nina 26 13 8 43 31 +12 44
5 Vida de Rico 26 11 7 39 33 +6 41
6 Agua 26 12 11 36 33 +3 39
7 H or H 26 12 11 41 40 +1 39
8 Got What I Got 26 11 11 44 42 +2 37
9 Ay, Dios Mio! 26 11 11 27 28 −1 37

12 Idol 26 8 15 29 43 −14 27
13 Ditto 26 6 17 32 48 −16 21
14 Dry Flower 26 6 17 26 48 −22 21

The defending champions of the day and the hour of Tattoo would once again hold steady as the shining light within Los Platas, easily winning their division without much trouble to speak of if any despite making the Challengers Cup knockout stages. The same can't be said for Vida de Rico who, even without the Champions League to keep them busy on the housing front (Yes they still had the FFI Confederations Trophy), still recorded their worst result of the division era, ending up 5th behind of all teams Mi Nina, Anti-Hero and... Wait a minute, KAKAI KITAN? Yes, believe it or not, the Oricon side were on the upswing, in no small part helped out by their 5th place finish last season, and are put into the Final Round table as the region's first side to hoist the banner and march into those final 11 matchdays. The less said about their fellow Oricon neighbors the better, as the reigning Copa Monitor champions in Idol as well as Dry Flower were left in the bottom of the pack. Not a good spot to be in with impending changes to the Chartistani league system...

Chartistani Hot League - Chart Year 65, Season 4 (Final Round)

Just like last season at this point, the new pride of Los Platas in Tattoo leads the entire first third of the Final Round, but it couldn't be any closer if anybody tried. A total of 5 clubs were level on points on the top headed into the fifth game of the championship round - The aforementioned Tattoo, a DTM side bouncing back hard, the perennial second-best in Billboard and in the Hot League in Angst, Big Energy, who were in a tie with Angst as they were yet to face each other, and Oricon's own Kaikai Kitan, who were the only undefeated team left... Until Angst beat them on Matchday 4. An additional three teams, Blinding Lights, Really Love and Players, were only one point behind, whilst last season's runners-up in Champagne Night were 2 points behind and U 2 Luv, in 10th mind you, were 3 points behind.

DTM! DTM! DTM! DTM!

A rising tide can't lift all ships, ask that to every other team based in Gaon that partook in the Hot League this season, but DTM were back, oh boy they were back. Oricon's saviors in Kaikai Kitan? Bopped. The unluckiest club in the social media darlings Angst? Stopped. Surprise story of the season in Players? Okay, they blew up their phone and DTM ignored it until it was too late. At least they beat Anti-Hero, but if they indeed won 4 out of 4 in this third, they would be six points clear of Kaikai Kitan and U 2 Luv. Instead, they were three points clear of those two and the all-female Billboard side. Official City's Really Love, Los Platas' Tattoo and, well, everybody else were not that far behind the teams from second to fourth, but My Head and Blinding Lights might as well be out of the title race already, and Blinding Lights were the only team that the defending champions could beat in this stretch.

The entire region of Oricon, looking for a savior that would elevate the region much in the same way Vida de Rico did to Los Platas, initially thought it would come from Idol, the record-smashing, no-nonsense taking side who made it into the Hot League this season by winning the Copa Monitor. Kaikai Kitan, a team that, when they entered the Chartistani system what feels like forever ago, were misspelled into Kaikai Titan and merely accepted their fate until they were actually good again, were instead that team. Yes, during this stretch they lost to DTM, but that as well might be a right of passage for every elite team within Chartistan. And then they lost to Anti-Hero. Cue THAT win. A 5-0 over U 2 Luv suddenly reinvigorated the team when a loss would have them probably thrown out of the title race, and Big Energy were wiped aside, even if they had some trouble if we're being honest here. With three matchdays to go, maybe they could be the ones to capitalize off of a DTM mistake.

Nobody, except the team that actually played against DTM, did. U 2 Luv were the team that were given the unenviable task of trying to curve away DTM's point differential from three to zero, and initially they actually were bringing enough firepower to seriously throw themselves within a shot of lifting the title. In short, they played the game known as "Oui" to a 1-0 lead in the 36th minute of the game. Playing "Oui" to that scoreline, however, wouldn't discourage DTM from tying it up early into the 2nd half and even trying to get a game winner to extend their gap against U2L to six whole points, but they had to settle for one point. That would probably have essentially disrupted DTM's shot at the title if it not for results elsewhere.

And by results elsewhere, they mean chaos up and down the table. Both title contenders that weren't named U 2 Luv lost against teams they should have been beating - Kaikai Kitan lost in the Cana district to Blinding Lights and Players lost to Anti-Hero. Big Energy beat Angst, throwing them all the way down to 11th and officially eliminated from the title race. Musicville's Champagne Night, the team on a tight budget that played in the Challengers Cup qualifiers to start the season, won against Really Love and shot from 8th... To holding the last Challengers Cup spot in 4th. In fact, the gap between 2nd place Really Love and 11th and 12th place Angst and MH:... Was four points. All of a sudden you had five teams alone brawling for IFCF spots and a shot at the title should DTM and/or U2L lose and another three waiting in the wings should any of them slip up. All the while DTM could wrap up the title with a win and a U 2 Luv loss or draw...

Well, DTM won, of course. They were the most successful team in Chartistan after all, they could have been the first Chartistani team to make the Champions League groups, they were the first Chartistani team to make any IFCF group stage, more appearances in IFCF qualifying than you can shake a stick at... They HAD to win against Big Energy to potentially wrap up the league title. It was 3-2, with the Gaon side scared for their lives as Big Energy scored two late, but at the end of the day they had absolutely nothing to fear. U 2 Luv, on the other hand, knew that a win and only a win could keep them alive in the title race. It's them. Hi. Anti-Hero were the problem, it was them. The Billboard on Billboard battle only left Anti-Hero exhausted and sick to the stomach, as U2L, of course, won 2-0.

But then again, the gap seemed... Almost too high. DTM had an eight goal gap against U 2 Luv when it came to goal difference. While the media kept saying that anything could happen, that a 1-0 loss for Don't Touch Me and a 9-2 win for U 2 Luv would force a title-deciding tiebreaker match at Old Town Park due to the Matchday 9 draw, it was practically already guaranteed for the Gaon side to win yet another Hot League title while everybody else on the ship sank down. Only the rich get richer, only DTM will be the best team in Gaon...

Copa Monitor - Chart Year 65, Season 4

About
The Copa Monitor is a specially-made competition for the Los Platas region of Chartistan, home to teams such as Vida de Rico, Tattoo and Ay, Dios Mio!. The inaugural edition saw 16 teams compete, with Ella Baila Sola beating AMG in the Final to win the trophy as well as a spot in the Hot League, with the runners-up earning a spot in the Bubbling League. After the competition was deemed a stellar success by the Chartistan Hot League Committee, the competition expanded to 32 teams - Originally 24 teams from Los Platas and 8 "Guest" teams give or take who, despite not making the city leagues, impressed the selection committee via their competitiveness in sanctioned matches. With the impending regionalization changes, the guest spots role is now 100% occupied by teams from Aria, who qualify for the Copa Monitor via their own qualification system.

The competition starts off with a group stage with 8 groups of 4, with each group being comprised of 3 teams from Los Platas and 1 team from Aria. Each team will play each other once at venues within Los Platas, with the top 2 teams from each group advancing to the knockout stage. From there it's single elimination up until the Final. The winners of the Copa Monitor qualify for Liga Plataria, the new regional league for the region of Los Platas and the city of Aria.

NOTE - The teams from Aria are those highlighted in italics.

Chartistani Football - Road to Chart Year 66

As previously discussed throughout the year, the Chartistan Hot League Committee is seeking to regionalize Chartistani club football for Chart Year 66. Format changes between Chart Years have been an ever-present fact of life, as the Chartistani system shifted from the 100 team behemoth to a single 14 team league to a four-tier structure with 64 teams to a single 58 team league to the four divisions and final round format we had in Chart Year 65. The entire point with the regionalization structure, according to the CHLC, is to limit travel for each and every team in the pyramid. Whether it was during the single league eras or during the division stage, teams had to travel to every single corner of the nation, and for the teams that had IFCF and FFI football over those seasons... Those added up. Just ask Vida de Rico, whose sheer exhaustion due to both making the Champions League groups two seasons ago and their Confederations Trophy run last season caused them to fall out of the Final Round entirely, even with all the CL money. VDR basically racked up enough miles to qualify them for frequent flyer status, and Champagne Night might join them after making the CT final this season.

Regionalization is meant to put the cities and regions of Chartistan at the forefront, with the national conversation being reserved for the very end, after the regional leagues end their season and send their best teams to the Final Round (To be known as the Hot League Finals) to decide the national champion. Some of the new regional leagues, and yes this is all modeled on the Bubbling League's regional format in Chart Year 55, will have some more heavy hitters than others, but in the end each region will stand to benefit, crafting new rivalries and growing their standings as Chartistan keeps its chin up. How are the cities and regions preparing for such a shift?

Billboard
The city of Billboard, capital of Chartistan and home to the most clubs of any city in the Hot League, was too big for a single regional division. Hell it was too big for two divisions. Billboard early on was looking like splitting its regional prowess into three different leagues, perhaps under the same naming conventions, but once the CHLC's requirements for regional leagues came in, with each division needing a minimum of 8 teams and a maximum of 12, it was apparent that Billboard needed four or more separate leagues. The first two were relatively easy, especially with the "trendy" teams like Angst, Level of Concern and abcdefu having already started rivalries in the Rockstar Division and Musicville's rise as a contending region with the likes of Champagne Night, Fast Car and newcomer rivals Last Night and... Try That In A Small Town, aka that team with small town mentalities even though they're from the capital of Chartistan, which formed the Trendy Footballers Association Championship (TFA-Champ) and the Musicville Soccer Conference (MSC) respectively. A third league, piloted by 3 Headed Goat, would form as the Bar-Twelve shortly thereafter to gather the like-minded teams which included CUFF IT, Kill Bill and former Hot League winners Mood into one place.

That left the Cana District and the "pop" teams out in the cold. Cana always wanted to form their own identity like Musicville did, considering that they were also a separate district within Billboard. Cana only had five teams within the Hot League, six if counting Creepin' as a satellite team, and as such didn't look like forming their own separate division, especially with the Cana based but Billboard at heart Fake Woke not wanting to be part of a Cana-only division in the first place. The "pop" teams that were left amounted to seven and included Anti-Hero and the aforementioned Creepin', who were dumped out of joining the Bar-Twelve due to the Bubbling League rules forcing them to take Painting Pictures instead. The only thing that could happen was for the two sides to form the Billboard Major League, or the BML, a twelve-team league like the Bar-Twelve that housed the best of Cana and the "pop" sides. They'd do anything to make the kid who doesn't want to be here in Fake Woke happy.

...Is what I would say if Positions didn't get promoted from the Bubbling League. They were the Bubbling League champions after all, they had to be in the BML conversations. In a staredown that basically lasted from Positions taking the promotion all the way to three weeks after the end of the season, it was ultimately decided that the worst-placed team from the BML sides in the Division Stage via points-per-game had to take a required demotion to the second tier (We'll get to the whole second tier thing later). That meant Creepin' was forced out, much to the annoyance of the Cana teams. They still got to keep the BML together though!

Official City
It was safe to say that Official City got a lucky roll when it came to this whole mess. The allocation process for last season's Bubbling League meant that Official City was left with eight teams, the five who stated that they wanted to formulate a league together plus the three OC sides that were promoted - 0800 Heaven, Us Against The World and Sprinter respectively. There was consideration among the clubs to add in the other three Official City sides in the Bubbling League, but that was shot down because eight was a nice number. Besides, twelve teams meant that the Official City Premier League structure would be useless... We'll get to that later.

Los Platas/Aria
The Liga Plataria concept, which came about because 1, Aria was one of the two black sheep within Chartistan (Alongside Oricon) and 2, the rise of Vida de Rico and Tattoo as well as the Copa Monitor for Los Platas, was from the beginning meant to be adapted to encompass all the teams from the areas, not just the second division clubs. If anything, you might have to thank them for even getting the regional leagues concept going in the first place. The point that mattered the most, however, was if Aria was to come along. Safe to say that they hit the jackpot. Promise and Rush were promoted via the Bubbling League, but not only were two Aria sides coming in, Padam Padam would win the Copa Monitor and make company for Aria, putting the league to ten teams with three from the often forgotten city. As already discussed, the Copa Monitor was to be the Liga Plataria's promotion tournament, with the winner getting promoted much in the same way that the winners for the past two seasons were promoted into the Hot League, so nothing had to change. If anything, the league stood to benefit. Yes travel was to be an issue, but they had Tattoo, Vida de Rico, Ay, Dios Mio!, even Agua to drive interest within the league. If the Aria sides kept coming, then the league would stay alive.

Gaon/Oricon
DTM had practically lapped the Gaon clubs last season, so much so that they practically stood alone at the top of their own city with the lone exception of a certain SMF. They were Don't Touch Me for a reason, one of the Hot League "originals", holders of many a Hot League and Heatseekers Cup title, the first Chartistani club to make the group stage of an IFCF competition and very nearly the first Chartistani club to make the Champions League groups. Any of the leagues would kill to have them join their ranks if it wasn't for the forced regionalization rule. Gaon only had six clubs that could form a league so the only position to go when it came to their league working was a partnership with the Oricon region, bringing in Dry Flower, former Copa Monitor winners Idol and a resurgent Kaikai Kitan into the fold. Add in the promotions of Neko (Bouncing back up after two seasons), Young, Dumb, Stupid (Yes that's one club, not three) and Cupid (FINALLY) and they got to the maximum. All they needed was a name. Gaon, Oricon. Gaon-Oricon. G-O. This was the G-O LEAGUE. More accurately GO-LEAGUE 1, but still.

The Leagues
With the teams already put into place, everything became seemingly clear with how the future would shape out under this format. The only league that would need a callup would be the MSC, as they only had seven teams at the ready after the end of the season. Their eighth team will be decided with the usual callup process, selecting the best team from mostly a marketing standpoint, but good games will also be considered.

The leagues themselves are right under that spoiler bar if you want to see who will be in where. It will also include the format of each league in Italics.

For the TFA-Champ and Liga Plataria, the bottom-ranked team at the end of the season (Based on overall performance, which does include combining Liga Plataria's Apertura and Clausura regular seasons into a single table) will be demoted into their regional second divisions. The only exception will be if a team from one region wins the Copa Monitor and the team from the other wins the Bubbling Leagues Finals, in which case two teams in Liga Plataria will be demoted. For the other leagues, the bottom two teams are demoted.

Regional Second Divisions (Bubbling Leagues)
Also a requirement from the CHLC is for each region mapped out via the Hot League restructuring to have a second division to demote teams to and promote teams from, with each league having at least eight teams. Also per the requirements, the teams that would be admitted into the leagues would be decided by a regional qualifying structure similar to what was implemented in Chart Year 65 for the Bubbling League. For the first season in Chart Year 66, all teams in the leagues (With the exception of Creepin' in the BML area) will have to win their way in over the offseason, while for the seasons afterwards this will decrease to four teams, as only the teams from 4th place on up will be able to keep their places. The winners of each of the Bubbling Leagues will qualify for the Bubbling Leagues Finals, a single-elimination knockout tournament that determines Chartistan's IFCF Liga B Champions Trophy teams and the Bubbling Leagues national champion.

The only exception to this rule is the Los Platas/Aria system, which will keep the Copa Monitor as their Liga Plataria promotion tournament. The tournament, however, will be moved towards the end of the second division season to line up with the Bubbling League Finals. The best team in the tournament from Los Platas and Aria each will qualify for the Bubbling League Finals, which will necessitate the introduction of a 3rd place playoff and (If necessary) qualification playoffs should multiple teams from the same area end at the same stage with no other teams advancing. In addition, a second promotion spot will open up if the representative that did not win the Copa Monitor ends up winning the Bubbling Leagues Finals, which will necessitate the 11th place team in Liga Plataria also getting relegated.

Heatseekers Cup
While the CHLC has no plans to bring back the Heatseekers Cup under its original format as Charistan's domestic cup competition, it will be brought back as a sort of midseason tournament for the best teams in the first half of the regional campaigns. Each league will take a pause in their respective seasons after the 15th allocated regional matchday (Only Liga Plataria will play all 15 matchdays due to their format however) for the tournament. Each team is allowed to send their top two sides from that point into the tournament, with the two best 3rd placed teams based on points-per-game also making it in (Liga Plataria's will be the losing semifinalists with the most points). Like the Heatseekers Playoff at the end of the Final Round during Chart Year 65, this will be a single elimination tournament, with the winner of the Heatseekers Cup earning an FFI Confederations Trophy bid and a spot in the Hot League Finals for the Chartistani national championship.

Hot League Finals
Like before, the Hot League Finals, formerly the Final Round, is where the top twelve teams in Chartistan based on results in the previous stage compete for the national title in an 11 matchday, single round robin tournament. With the new changes, the way teams can get into the Final Round has also changed. The champions of the seven leagues (Highest-ranked Apertura or Clausura champion based on the aggregate table in the case of Liga Plataria) automatically qualify, whilst the top five runners-up via points-per-game in the regular season (Four if the Heatseekers Cup champions doesn't automatically qualify via the two criteria) will join them. As like before, the top two teams at the end of the Finals enter the FFI League of Victors, while the IFCF spots will be doled out as per usual. Should the Heatseekers Cup champions finish in the top two, however, their FFI Confederations Trophy spot will be given to the third place team in the Bubbling League Finals.

Chartistani Football - Chart Year 66, Season 1 Preview

Football. Football, football, football. It couldn't be a season of the Hot League structure without football, and this season is proving to be one that can shape the sport forever. Straddling the line between having 2 Champions League spots and just having one, the recently implemented regionalization changes, with a total of 7 regional top divisions, is what some think will be the spark that drives Chartistani football forward into a new era, one where it's known for its ever-intense schedule that whittles down upwards of 60+ clubs into a national champion. Instead of going team-by-team, which would take forever, let's take this on a league-by-league basis.

Billboard Major League
The BML is one of the Chartistani capital of Billboard's four allocated regional leagues due to its status as the biggest city within Chartistan, and with it comes 12 teams all with plenty of incentive heading into the campaign. Specifically, it all has to do with the BML Playoffs, a 8-team tournament at the end of the 22-game season which, if math serves one right, would see two-thirds of the league, including some of the teams with a losing record, take part for a shot at the title and a Hot League Finals berth. As such, predicting who would win this league is more difficult than all the others, especially since Anti-Hero only finished 7th in the Finals last term!

One major story from this conference revolves around one of Chartistani club football's foremost villains, that being the ever-hated Fake Woke. They made waves last season by signing notorious goalie Spam Who to a contract as the first non-Chartistani player to sign with a club from the nation. In typical Spam Who fashion, the TeaFarmers gloveholder did everything but fair play en-route to a 20-game rolling suspension with 4 games to go in the division season, one which might have cost the club a spot in the Final Round, and as such they have to spend a majority of the BML's regular season, most likely up until matchday 18 unless they make a Heatseekers Cup run, without the polarizing player. It's still all the time in the world to "improve" the player to a status where he can maybe stay more than a couple games without an incident, and as such he might be the power player FKW need if they want to end the season away from the drop zone or maybe even with a playoff spot.

Trendy Footballers Association Championship
TFA-Champ's an interesting league to cover, especially with their format of deciding a champion meaning that a team who finishes near the bottom can make a barnstorming run to the final and face a team who only knew how to rest up to that point. Angst is everyone's favorites, as they have been a consistent side when it comes to making the Hot League Finals the last couple seasons (Even coming close to winning a title), but there's always the factor of a white-hot team knocking on their doorstep for a shot at the title. Will it be Bloody Valentine? Level of Concern? My Head :(? Or will Angst see this title out only to potentially face an emerging superteam in Lil Boo Thang for the title next term should they win the TrendTok League?

Musicville Soccer Conference
The MSC is a division that is both wide open and decidably one-sided, mainly due to the fact that their biggest team in Champagne Night is coming off of back-to-back top 4s in the Hot League Finals and a recent Challengers Cup group appearance and Confederations Trophy final loss. They are perhaps the safest lock for the MSC Championship Game, but the second spot is wide open - Fast Car most likely will seal the deal, but it could as well be Forever After All, Last Night, Need A Favor, even... Yes, you said it, Try That In A Small Town. It might as well be non-competitive for top spot but second on down can be anybody's game. Musicville is a wild place y'all.

Bar-Twelve League
The BTL, the final division within Chartistan meant for the more "rap savvy" clubs, is wide open like the BML, but considering there's only six playoff spots on offer, it's not as wide open when it comes to crowning a champion. Three clubs who are looking like the odds-on favorites to perhaps make the Final are Players, Big Energy and the Hot League Finals runners-up last term in U 2 Luv. All three sides made the final hurdle, although the latter club, who mind you were 3 points away from defeating DTM and hoisting the Hot League title, ran circles over the all-female outfit and the closest thing to a villain the BTL will have.

The only real question is who will join them in the title hunt, especially next season when we get our first two BTL Freshman graduates from the second division. So far the money's on both Paint The Town Red and Water to get the promotion spots since they had no trouble qualifying and already look like BTL-quality sides, and that's without having to get their feet wet in the transfer market fully. Barbie World and SkeeYee, however, look like the challengers that could upset them, although they wouldn't necessarily make as much of a splash as the other two can should they play their cards right. For now, PTR and WAT look like the it girls playing tag.

Official City Premier League
This might be the easiest league to call in terms of who would actually win the league. If you aren't betting on Really Love winning the title and earning their way into the Final Round, then what is wrong with you? In all seriousness, the bigger race isn't for the title, it's the relegation spots. There are three sides who easily would be considered relegation fodder - The Heart teams (Head & plus Cold) and ol' reliable Running Up That Hill. Everybody else is either a proven commodity or Us Against The World, so the only who would have the pleasure to stay alive will be worth anything to an avid league watcher.

Liga Plataria
Unlike all the other regionalized leagues, the Liga Plataria, meant for Los Platas and, well, Aria, is different. Operating under an Apertura and Clausura split season gives all 10 sides plenty of options and means to strategize, especially since only the winners of each split will be eligible for the Hot League Finals - Should you focus on the Apertura and hope to gather enough points in the Clausura should you win the previous split to ensure Finals qualification, or do you go all in on the Clausura and risk having a subpar Apertura? Regardless of what a team may go for, this split strategy means the league can go all over the place.

As the name of the competition suggests, both Los Platas and Aria are represented, so easily most of the intrigue will come with how Promise, Rush and Padam Padam do against the seasoned sides from across the boundary, although the biggest rivalry in the league is still reserved for Tattoo vs Vida de Rico, the two Los Platas sides that have seen success both domestically and in the IFCF. For the Housebuilders, however, this might be the season that could make or break them, especially after they lost out on making last season's HLFs in excruciating fashion sitting behind both TAT and... Mi Nina. Yes, Mi Nina. When will it end...?

GO-LEAGUE 1
Gaon and Oricon are the two cities/regions in Chartistan that couldn't be more together yet more apart. One is home to the most successful team in Chartistan in the form of DTM, the other hasn't had much success as of late. The only exception to this rule has been Kaikai Kitan, who made a run all the way to the Finals last season and are looking like a serious threat in the new GO-LEAGUE. It couldn't come at a better time for Don't Touch Me, the reigning Hot League champions, as their city hasn't seen a whole lot in the way of good opposition, basically only down to SMF since everybody else is floundering. But at the very least they'll be washed out by new competitors hoping to make their case, in this case Cupid and maybe YDS, as well as new hopefuls from the second division. For now though, the focus of this league is on the heavy hitters from Gaon and Oricon, and considering one has a IFCF and FFI schedule and one doesn't, things could get wild.

Chartistani Football - Chart Year 66, Season 1 (1st Half, Part 1)

Billboard Major League

1 Anti-Hero 14 7 3 4 24 14 +10 24 - Qualified for Heatseekers Cup

5 Bad Habit 14 5 6 3 22 17 +5 21
6 Sunroof 14 5 5 4 20 21 −1 20
7 Laugh Now Cry Later 14 4 7 3 19 17 +2 19

11 Fake Woke 14 1 7 6 12 21 −9 10 - Demotion Zone
12 Calm Down 14 0 6 8 11 24 −13 6 - Demotion Zone

The top of the table is a sign of competitiveness that in most domestic leagues signals one thing and one thing only - Maybe this league is actually good! In the BML, having four teams separated by a single point heading into the Heatseekers Cup break is a sign that the league is absolutely firing on all cylinders. Anti-Hero, the highest-ranked club currently in the league, immediately ran towards the top of the pile, spending most of the first 6 matchdays desparately trying to catch a Sunroof team that had their heads on the top of the table for... Some reason. Sunroof tapered off by Matchday 7 as they headed towards midtable but Rich Flex, one of the four Cana clubs in the BML, replaced Sunroof as the challengers with three games to go until the break, they began to falter with loses to both Positions and Blinding Lights... Which just so happened to be the third challenger. Oddly enough they didn't switch any positions, still top of the table on Matchday 13 but with four challengers hoping to surpass them or at least get close. And Rich Flex and Blinding Lights were level on points! All Anti-Hero could hold onto other than the will was the goal difference.

And then, ladies and gentlemen, came the Super Tie, otherwise known as Matchday 14. Nobody switched hands at ALL between Matchdays 13 and 14 because all but two games, those being LNCL winning away at Positions and Holy taking down a Calm Down side that were in the demotion pile, were ties. Two 1-1s, a 2-2 and Fake Woke without Spam Who drawing 3-3 to Sunroof, and all five Heatseekers challengers were involved in the other ties. Anti-Hero held on to their top seed by the skin of their teeth and will go with Rich Flex to the Heatseekers (Who made it in by sheer dumb luck alone), while Blinding Lights will have to wait to see if they can be the BML's 3rd representative.

Trendy Footballers Association Championship

TFA-Champ Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Angst 14 10 1 3 29 12 +17 31 - Qualified for Heatseekers Cup
2 My Head :( 14 8 4 2 17 10 +7 28 - Qualified for Heatseekers Cup

3 Excitement! 14 6 5 3 20 15 +5 23 - Possible Qualification for Heatseekers Cup
4 Bloody Valentine 14 4 7 3 19 17 +2 19
5 Mad At Disney 14 5 4 5 15 16 −1 19
6 Level of Concern 14 4 5 5 14 16 −2 17
7 abcdefu 14 2 2 10 11 24 −13 8
8 H or H 14 2 2 10 15 30 −15 8 - Demotion Zone

Unlike the BML, TFA-Champ was much more predictable when it came to who was at the top - It was Angst, the only real challengers that the region could present when it came to the Hot League Finals. 10 wins and a draw against Bloody Valentine to their name, for the most part they cruised through the competition on offer, however their spot on top seemingly has a team with a smiley as part of their name, the ever popular MH:, on their tail, three points behind top spot and an automatic trip to the Final. On the other side of the table is the Battle of Dogwater - abcdefu and H and H have identical records and stand on 8 points, but as in all things football it's goal difference that's the only thing separating them, with HOH two goals behind the alphabet gang despite scoring more goals due to their horrid defense. Might as well call this race 8 or 8...

Musicville Soccer Conference

Musicville Soccer Conference Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Fast Car 14 7 6 1 27 18 +9 27 - Qualified for Heatseekers Cup
2 Got What I Got 14 7 5 2 26 14 +12 26 - Qualified for Heatseekers Cup

3 Champagne Night 14 7 3 4 16 18 −2 24 - Possible Qualification for Heatseekers Cup

5 Try That In A Small Town 14 3 6 5 18 18 0 15
6 Last Night 14 2 8 4 21 21 0 14
7 Forever After All 14 2 7 5 17 19 −2 13 - Demotion Zone
8 I Hope 14 2 4 8 12 25 −13 10 - Demotion Zone

Oddly enough Champagne Night wasn't running away with the MSC lead heading into the Heatseekers Cup break and halfway point of the MSC regular season. The budget-cutting savants of the Musicville region of Billboard also had a shoestring budget for scoring, even if they were joint-tied with top of the table Fast Car, rebounding from a horrific last season, and... sigh... Try That In A Small Town when it came to defense, no doubt helped by Qasden youth international Oliver Paul starting most games. Nope, they were third in the table, outside of the MSC Championship spots and automatic Heatseekers qualification by 2 points against... Got What I Got? A team who everybody predicted would be demoted? There's still half a whole league season to go and of course Champagne Night don't have any sort of IFCF or FFI duties, so they can easily get their way back up there and play for all the marbles. Seriously you thought Last Night would be in 2nd while they are currently in a demotion battle...

Bar-Twelve League

Bar-Twelve League Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Mood 14 10 0 4 26 18 +8 30 - Qualified for Heatseekers Cup
2 U 2 Luv 14 8 4 2 22 13 +9 28 - Qualified for Heatseekers Cup

3 3 Headed Goat 14 8 2 4 22 16 +6 26 - Possible Qualification for Heatseekers Cup
4 Big Energy 14 7 4 3 24 13 +11 25

11 Players 14 3 1 10 15 26 −11 10 - Demotion Zone
12 Whoopty 14 0 3 11 13 29 −16 3 - Demotion Zone

As fate would have it, of course the team who finished runners-up in the Finals last term would be fighting for the top of the BTL table. U 2 Luv didn't do particularly hot in either the Challengers Cup or the FFI competitions (They didn't end up qualifying for the CC groups and by now had to face Mancodas Athletic in the Confederations Trophy last 16, having dropped down from the League of Victors against Bikarish in the last 32) but domestically they were still powers - Not enough to put a surging Mood behind them in the table, but enough to comfortably land a HC spot ahead of 3rd placed... 3 Headed Goat. Only the BTL could produce such bars. CUFF IT are currently not having a good time, however, as they sit only 6 points ahead of the demotion zone and are 6 points back of a playoff spot, coming from a team who many said should be in the playoffs at the start of the season. And it's even worse for Players, who are in the demotion zone 3 points back of safety to Lemonade and aren't last because Whoopty STILL hasn't won a game! 14 games into a 22-game regular season and the only results they have gotten in their favor have been draws to Big Energy, Wep and Kill Bill, all at home. They haven't gotten a point away from their home ground and at this point they should just spread demotion around like blue cheese... I'm getting ahead of myself, they are having a terrible season...

Chartistani Football - Chart Year 66, Season 1 (1st Half, Part 2)

Official City Premier League

Official City Premier League Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Really Love 14 9 3 2 27 15 +12 30 - Qualified for Heatseekers Cup
2 Levitating 14 8 3 3 25 17 +8 27 - Qualified for Heatseekers Cup

3 Sprinter 14 7 3 4 23 16 +7 24 - Possible Qualification for Heatseekers Cup

5 Us Against The World 14 5 3 6 19 20 −1 18

7 Cold Heart 14 3 4 7 13 18 −5 13 - Demotion Zone
8 Head & Heart 14 2 3 9 13 28 −15 9 - Demotion Zone

As expected, there isn't much really to do at the top when you know who's on top. Really Love, Official City's most dominant club, are not exactly cruising to the OCPL title (Levitating are right behind them), but at this point in the season they might as well have at least a finger on the OCPL title, because Levitating might as well not be in the race after the break ends and they go back to action against the local teams. Surely I'm guessing they'll have a premonition that they and probably 0800 Heaven would be together diving down the table. Out of the three new clubs of course, Sprinter is the one with intrigue. They look very much like a decent team and in a league where decent can mean 3rd place it means a lot. Now can they make the push to 2nd?

GO-LEAGUE 1

So the point's probably been put across in the preview. It's gonna be DTM vs Kakai Kitan, Gaon vs Oricon, to decide the title. Surely it would be that ri-

12 Dynamite 14 2 1 11 12 23 −11 7 - Demotion Zone

...Idol. Where the hell were you last season? Did the team that wipe up all of Oricon and coast to the Copa Monitor title take a whole damn season off and waited until when the GO-LEAGUE started to roar that machine back to life? Because that's what it looks like at the moment, as what was supposed to be Oricon's saviors now find themselves 7 points ahead at the top to... Young, Dumb, Stupid. Not even DTM, because they're stuck in third, 9 points behind the top, because oh yeah they're doing double duty with the Challengers Cup group stage... Oh wait, TRIPLE DUTY with the League of Victors. This is what fixture congestion gets you, ladies and gentlemen. The domination seems to have transferred over to the Challengers Cup because they won the group for some reason beyond all comprehension apart from the "DTMWINSLOL" memes.

Apart from that mess at the top 3, there's more. WAY more. Neko are 4th and Dry Flower are 6th when both teams would be more suited for relegation, while Cupid's hovering over the demotion zone as they sit one point ahead of... Kakai Kitan. Yes, don't scratch your eyes, Kaikai Kitan are in the demotion zone. The best team in Oricon according to last season are closer to Dynamite than they are to Dry Flower. This GO-LEAGUE season is wack, absolutely wack. Sure it will probably go back to normal by the time the league splits in two to decide who wins the title and who goes down, but when it's mathematically more likely for it to be Neko than it is to Kaikai Kitan, that's how screwy the season is.

Liga Plataria - The Opening/La Apertura

Apertura Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Ella Baila Sola 9 7 0 2 12 7 +5 21 - Qualified for Semi-Finals
2 Tattoo 9 6 2 1 20 10 +10 20 - Qualified for Semi-Finals

3 Rush 9 6 1 2 16 11 +5 19 - Qualified for Quarter-Finals
4 Promise 9 4 3 2 17 13 +4 15 - Qualified for Quarter-Finals
5 Padam Padam 9 3 4 2 15 11 +4 13 - Qualified for Quarter-Finals
6 Ay, Dios Mio! 9 3 2 4 10 13 −3 11 - Qualified for Quarter-Finals

7 Agua 9 2 4 3 10 12 −2 10
8 Amor Ou O Litrao 9 2 1 6 9 15 −6 7
9 Mi Niña 9 2 0 7 9 19 −10 6
10 Vida de Rico 9 0 3 6 7 14 −7 3

First thing's first here, and it might as well be an obvious statement but who cares... Vida de Rico are entering a flop era. The Housebuilders opted not to really play football during the Apertura and it absolutely showed. This was a season where they would probably make the Playoffs in both the Apertura and the Clausura, but instead of loving how to win football matches, they just lost. And tied, but mainly lost. They, Calm Down in the BML and Whoopty in the Bar-Twelve are the only teams who have gone winless heading into the halfway point of the campaign, and in the case of VDR this might cost them membership in the Plataria if they don't pick things up for the Clausura. To think that just two seasons ago they were in the Champions League group stage going against Arlington City and Myana and now they have a decent shot of having to play in the Copa Monitor qualifiers against Si No Estas and Qlona if neither of them take VDR's place. Better work on that foundation with all the money they have...

Going away from the Housebuilders, the top of the regular season's more interesting than the bottom aside from the obvious. Tattoo didn't even get to the top of the table, instead giving the honors to Ella Baila Sola, even if it really was by a point. And then you add Aria into the mix, and when you do your chances of awesomeness drastic go up. Rush felt the most out of the three Aria sides, electrifying the competition to earn 3rd place ahead of Promise and Padam Padam, leaving Ay, Dios Mio! as the final team into the Playoffs. Yes, an even 3/3 Los Platas/Aria split heading into the first Playoffs of the LP? Talk about excitement! No, not the TFA-Champ team...

The Playoffs/La Liguilla
All matchups are two-legged with away goals rules applied; if a match is tied on goals and away goals, the team with the highest seed wins.

Quarter-Finals
Ay, Dios Mio! (#6) 1–4 Rush (#3)
Rush (#3) 2–2 Ay, Dios Mio! (#6)
Rush wins 6-3 on aggregate

Padam Padam (#5) 2–1 Promise (#4)
Promise (#4) 2–1 Padam Padam (#5)
Promise wins as they are the higher seed (Result was 3-3

Semi-Finals
Promise (#4) 1–0 Ella Baila Sola (#1)
Ella Baila Sola (#1) 3–1 Promise (#4)
Ella Baila Sola wins 3-2 on aggregate

Rush (#3) 0–4 Tattoo (#2)
Tattoo (#2) 3–2 Rush (#3)
Tattoo wins 7-2 on aggregate

Heatseekers Wildcard Playoff
Promise (#4) 2–0 Rush (#3)
Rush (#3) 0–0 Promise (#4)
Promise wins 2-0 on aggregate

Final
Tattoo (#2) 4–0 Ella Baila Sola (#1)
Ella Baila Sola (#1) 0–0 Tattoo (#2)
Tattoo wins the Liga Plataria Apertura Season 4-0 on aggregate

Well isn't #1 v #2 expected around here? In all seriousness, when the lights were on them Tattoo tore things up, inking up losses all on their competition in two dominant 4-0 first legs, one away in Aria in the Semis and one in the Final at their home ground. While the 3/3 split didn't give us a Los Platas v Aria final on our first go, Promise nearly got there, winning 1-0 at home and carrying the hopes of an entire region on themselves... Only to fall to Ella Baila Sola, who finished runners-up to Tattoo in that Final to barely miss out on their first piece of silverware. But they still have a shot at the Heatseekers Cup, one which didn't materialize for Rush as they lost the playoff match to Promise... As well as Promise themselves, who didn't have enough PPG to earn a top 2 spot. If Rush won that playoff series they would be in the Heatseekers. Promises broken?

Chartistani Football - Chart Year 66, Season 1 (Heatseekers Cup)

About
The Heatseekers Cup is Chartistan's mid-season tournament for the teams in the seven top divisions. Each league automatically qualifies their top two teams from the midway point of the season (The Apertura finalists in the case of Liga Plataria), with the top two third-place teams joining them for a sixteen team bracket. All matches are single-legged and have extra time and penalties if a game is tied. The winner of the Heatseekers Cup automatically earns a spot in the Hot League Finals and guarantees a spot in the FFI Confederations Trophy for the next cycle, which can only be vacated if the team finishes 1st or 2nd in the Hot League Finals, in which case the spot goes to the team in 3rd place.

Draw Rules
Each team was placed into two pots - One for the league leaders halfway into the season and one for the runners-up. The highest ranked wildcard is put into the first pot and the second-ranked wildcard was put into the second pot. Each team is then drawn one by one to determine who plays whom - The teams in the first pot are slotted to play their first round matches at home. Teams who directly qualify from the same league aren't allowed to face each other until the Final, so if one team from, say, Liga Plataria is drawn first in the top half and the second team is drawn next, that second team has to go into the bottom half. With regards to wildcards, they cannot face a team from their own league until the Semi-Finals, so a similar procedure is applied if a wildcard and a directly qualified team are put into the same quadrant - The second team is put into the next quadrant. Both wildcards cannot face each other until the Final as well. The bracket is fixed after the draw - Whatever is the result of the draw will be the bracket for the Heatseekers Cup, including home teams in the proceeding rounds.

12 Fake Woke 22 2 8 12 21 39 −18 14 - Demoted to Billboard Minor League

First things first, let's get this all out of the way... Even Spam Who coming back couldn't save Fake Woke from the drop. The temperamental TeaFarmers keeper didn't come back into the squad until after Matchday 16, when the controversial Cana side were five points back of safety and all but assured of missing the Playoffs. The best they could hope for was, essentially, survival. All that time off, all that time being retrained and being taught to not lose his cool kind of worked... Unless he happened to come up against Cana opposition on Matchday 17... When they faced Cana opposition in Laugh Now Cry Later. Demotion 6 pointers, alas, were not Who's strong suit, and although they got a point off of local rival Rich Flex, the only other points they would see was a win against Blinding Lights. It was certainly not enough to keep them in the BML, and the team were, to the delight of many, demoted. Spam Who proceeded to attempt to have another tantrum but stopped... This was a dead end club in a dead end situation. The only thing he could do to keep his team, as well as his career, going... Was to get back up.

Okay, back to the Playoffs. Amongst the fringes of the table in ol 8th and 9th, the final spot would be decided on the final day of the regular season between Positions, who had just promoted via the Bubbling League, and Flowers. Both headed into the final day level on points with 26 each, while #7 Sunroof was one point ahead of them and still mathematically could be left out of the BML Playoffs entirely. And they had to contend with Positions on the final day. A Positions win and a Flowers win away to top of the table Anti-Hero would put the heads back in the car.

Anti-Hero, on the other hand, was involved in a 3 way battle for the #1 seed in the Playoffs with Bad Habit, who they were level on points with, and Blinding Lights, who were one point behind. It was close too... Essentially, Anti-Hero led Bad Habit by one goal scored. Both were level on goal difference and points, and seeing as the CHLC put the third tiebreaker as goals scored, that's all Bad Habit needed in their final day encounter with our old friends Fake Woke... Score one more goal than Anti-Hero and that #1 seed is theirs. However if both lost, all Blinding Lights needed to do to touch the #1 seed was beat Holy away. Yes Holy were in the Playoffs and had at least the 7 seed wrapped up, but when push comes to shove, could they shove...?

The correct answer was no. BLI won 1-0, but they had to look at the other results to find their fate. Sunroof were no match away to Positions, with a 3-0 win qualifying the latter to the big dance. However, Flowers couldn't do their part to eliminate Sunroof and lost 2-0 to Anti-Hero, solidifying at least the field for the Playoffs. All Bad Habit needed to do was to score three against Fake Woke to get the top seed, but in the end Spam Who was just too damn strong. Bad Habit had to bite their tongues and settle for a 2-0 win and the 2 seed in the Playoffs. Speaking of...

Finals
Driver's License (#4) 3–4 Blinding Lights (#3)
Blinding Lights are Billboard Major League Champions!

What. A. Playoffs. While yes, apart from Driver's License and Rich Flex taking it all the way to penalty kicks in Game 3, all other Quarter-Final matchups were 2-0 affairs, with Anti-Hero (At least after Game 1), Bad Habit (I wish I knew that was the case after what happened in Game 2) and Blinding Lights having no trouble in beating their opposition. The Semi-Finals were anything but rudimentary.

With the top 4 seeds all in play, things got testy. Driver's License pulled out a shock win against top of the pops Anti-Hero for Game 1 and before they knew it they were leading with minutes left in Game 2, seemingly so close to reaching the BML Finals... But a last second reading of the will put things on course for penalty kicks, which they would end up losing. But, however, the stop sign was put on Anti-Hero as they lost once more away from home to solidify things for DRL. Bad Habit and Blinding Lights put up a similar slugfest that also went to Game 3, and once again the team away from home would lock up the series, putting pen to paper on a Finals between #3 and #4.

At Old Town Park it was Driver's License who drove through the not-so-blinding suburbs of Blinding Lights, scoring two goals by the 35 minute mark. Already the Cana side were running out of time, hence why overdrive had to be hit. Yes, it was 2-1 Blinding Lights at halftime, but two more goals meant that by the 65th, they were up 3-2. It was up to the Billboard darlings to get ahead, which they almost did, as they tied the game 3-3 while going all out looking for a winner. This pursuit didn't last long. Blinding Lights had an attack in the 84th minute, one that comfortably went past the defense and round the keeper for a 4-3 lead, one that they would hold to secure the first BML title. This time they had silverware to their name.

Trendy Footballers Association Championship

TFA-Champ Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts

8 H or H 21 4 4 13 22 39 −17 16 - Demoted to TrendTok League

Let's just skip to the gauntlet.

The Gauntlet
The top 7 teams in the TFA-Champ Regular Season qualify for the Guantlet. In the first round, the #6 seed will face the #7 seed at home. The winner of that match will face the #5 seed away from home and so on and so forth until the #1 seed plays, in which the winner of the match will win the Trendy Footballers Association Championship and a guaranteed spot in the Hot League Finals.
Level of Concern (#6) 1–2 abcdefu (#7)
Bloody Valentine (#5) 2–0 abcdefu (#7)
Mad At Disney (#4) 0–1 Bloody Valentine (#5)
Excitement! (#3) 3–3 Bloody Valentine (#5) (3–3 AET) (7–6 pen.)
My Head :( (#2) 1–4 Excitement! (#3)
Angst (#1) 3–0 Excitement! (#3)
Angst win the TFA-Champ title!

You can sense a pattern with the Gauntlet. The lower-ranked team wins, then they lose to the higher-ranked team. Repeat that 6 times and you have our story. Whilst abcdefu spelt out W-I-N to kick things off, Bloody Valentine was no match for them, but at the same time Mad at Disney wasn't a match for Bloody Valentine. They nearly got three wins on the bounce to secure at least third place, then Excitement! called for Excitement! and a slugfest ensued. Cue a game that went deep into penalty kicks before Excitement! were proven to be Excited! more than Bloody Valentine. Then My Head :( came knocking. 4-1 demolition... I mean Fun time. Yeah, Fun time. Only a brick wall could stop them... It's name was Angst.

Musicville Soccer Conference

Musicville Soccer Conference Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Champagne Night 28 16 6 6 43 31 +12 54 - Qualified for MSC Championship Game

8 I Hope 28 5 8 15 25 43 −18 23 - Demoted to Music Row Conference

Well God darnit I gotta say, Champagne Night, you really raised hell at the tail end of the season! Musicville accent aside, we all knew that was going to happen. The budget-cutters were going to take things seriously and romp their way back up top and qualify for the title game. Fast Car, whom you may remember won the Heatseekers Cup in the middle of the season, had to take a back seat but still comfortably qualified for the MSC Championship Game, mainly because the competition was kinda wack beyond that. Need A Favor and Got What I Got were both 8 points behind, the former finishing 4th while the latter finishing 3rd. On the other side of town, Forever After All and I Hope, once a mainstay of Chartistani football, dropped down to the second tier mainly because yeah, I get it, Try That In A Small Town actually fielded a good side even though their ideology might be seen as wack. Last Night, however, just happened to vibe.

The MSC Championship Game
This is a matchup between the first and second place teams in the Musicville Soccer Conference regular season standings held at a neutral site. The winner of the match becomes Musicville Soccer Conference champions and earns an automatic spot in the Hot League Finals.
Champagne Night (#1) 0–1 Fast Car (#2)

In all honesty, whilst the first ever MSC title would've been nice to Champagne Night, they had nothing to worry about in more than one way. Yes, they had a superior PPG record, which mainly decided who would be the wildcard teams for the Hot League Finals, but Fast Car also had a guaranteed spot in the Finals due to their Heatseekers Cup win, so five runners-up would earn spots in the big show regardless of if they won or not. Essentially, win or lose they were guaranteed a Finals spot. Cue most of their best players either being benched or being played in limited capacities to prepare for the Finals and Fast Car securing at the very least a domestic double - Heatseekers Cup and MSC champions. Completing the Treble with a Finals win was the jewel in the crown. Could they be right up there with DTM as one of the most dominate sides in Chartistani club football history? They still had to make a decision...

Bar-Twelve League

Bar-Twelve League Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 U 2 Luv 22 12 5 5 32 23 +9 41 - Bye to BTL Playoffs Semi-Finals
2 Mood 22 13 2 7 35 28 +7 41 - Bye to BTL Playoffs Semi-Finals

3 Kill Bill 22 9 10 3 36 23 +13 37 - Qualified for BTL Playoffs
4 Big Energy 22 11 4 7 35 23 +12 37 - Qualified for BTL Playoffs
5 3 Headed Goat 22 11 3 8 30 26 +4 36 - Qualified for BTL Playoffs
6 Painting Pictures 22 9 7 6 29 27 +2 34 - Qualified for BTL Playoffs

7 Rockstar 22 10 2 10 29 27 +2 32
8 Lemonade 22 7 6 9 31 36 −5 27
9 Wep 22 6 6 10 31 35 −4 24
10 Players 22 7 3 12 25 33 −8 24
11 CUFF IT 22 6 5 11 26 35 −9 23 - Demoted to BTL-Freshmen
12 Whoopty 22 2 5 15 19 42 −23 11 - Demoted to BTL-Freshmen

Talk about a good ol fashioned fight at both ends of the table. The BTL, having the same 12 team structure as the BML, produced drama heading into the last matchday before the Playoffs - U 2 Luv, the best team in the league to most, and Mood, who previously held the Hot League title aloft once upon a time, were neck and neck after Matchday 21 knowing that they both had at least the #3 seed at tow. Yes Mood had a guaranteed first round bye but Big Energy was one point behind U 2 Luv and could jump them for a bye. At the other end of the playoff picture, three teams were gunning after the last two spots, those being 3 Headed Goat, Rockstar and Painting Pictures, each one point ahead of the other. And yes while Whoopty had a horrible season and were guaranteed to be in Freshman next season, Players (Who had been horrific all season despite being in the playoff conversation early) could still survive with a win and results elsewhere going their way.

The final day of the season would see Players, first and foremost, put one foot in the door when it came to returning to the BTL by snatching a 2-1 victory at home against Big Energy, essentially killing their hopes of a Semi-Final bye in the process. CUFF IT, the team who were right above the all-female outfit, would proceed to not slay the 3 Headed Goat and write off the season as a demotion, one that could be seen as a shame by most as they had serious potential this season. This, naturally, led 3HG to a Playoffs berth. Painting Pictures would beat Whoopty (but then again everybody beat Whoopty this season so it seemed) so it was up to Rockstar to beat then to a playoff berth and rope U 2 Luv away from the #1 seed. They didn't. No brand new Lamborghinis today, I assume. Mood played a different game to seal the deal and regretted it, as a last-second score by Kill Bill solidified the true best team in the league as the #1 seed, one that they would surely need...

The BML Playoffs
All matchups in the Playoffs are single-legged games held at the team with the better seed. All teams are seeded based on their position in the Regular Season and are not reseeded after each round.
Quarter-Finals
Kill Bill (#3) 1–0 Painting Pictures (#6)
Big Energy (#4) 0–2 3 Headed Goat (#5)

Semi-Finals
U 2 Luv (#1) 2–1 3 Headed Goat (#5)
Mood (#2) 1–0 Kill Bill (#3)

Finals
U 2 Luv (#1) 2–1 Mood (#2)
U 2 Luv are the Bar-Twelve League Champions!

Unlike the BML Playoffs, things were much more tame down in Bar-Twelve Land. The only real shock throughout the whole of the end of the season was Big Energy not finding any sort of remedy for the 3 Headed Goat. The top seeds were the real kings of the Playoffs, with U 2 Luv earning a well-deserved BTL title on their own road back to the Finals. The Final wasn't exactly a testy affair either, with U2L 2-0 up until stoppage time when Mood bagged themselves a courtesy goal with no hope of tying things up. Well it was to be expected that at least two of the top four would wiggle their way back into the Finals for another crack...

Wildcard PPG Table (So Far)
Due to Fast Car winning both the Heatseekers Cup and the Musicville Soccer Conference, five second-placed teams will advance to the Hot League Finals alongside the league winners.
Wildcard Standings Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts PPG
MSC1 Champagne Night 28 16 6 6 43 31 +12 54 1.93

TFA3 Excitement! 21 9 7 5 29 24 +5 34 1.62

Chartistani Football - Chart Year 66, Season 1 (2nd Half, Part 2)

Official City Premier League

Official City Premier League Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Really Love 28 19 4 5 51 27 +24 61 - OCPL Champions, Qualified for Hot League Finals
2 Sprinter 28 13 6 9 40 31 +9 45 - Possible Hot League Finals Qualification
3 Levitating 28 12 6 10 43 37 +6 42
4 0800 Heaven 28 11 7 10 36 33 +3 40
5 Cold Heart 28 12 4 12 34 38 −4 40
6 Us Against The World 28 10 4 14 38 40 −2 34
7 Running Up That Hill 28 8 6 14 31 45 −14 30 - Demoted to Official City Championship
8 Head & Heart 28 7 3 18 34 56 −22 24 - Demoted to Official City Championship

...That's more like it. Really Love ended up coasting their way to the OCPL title at the end of the season with a whopping sixteen point cushion over a second-placed Sprinter side that decided that they were actually better than decent and were just... Good. Really Love on the other hand have been great throughout the season even if they had a little bit of a scare emerging from the Heatseekers Cup break before going, oh wait, 9 games unbeaten with 8 of those being wins. That just happens when you're a great team with only one good team as a rival, I suppose. As predicted, Levitating would drop down to 3rd and miss out on even the chance of Finals qualification, whilst on the other side of the table, Cold Heart decided that the very end of the season was the time to go on a run after a long long time, landing five straight wins to vault themselves out of the demotion zone and into fifth place with a comfortable cushion ahead of even 6th place Us Against The World. That left RUN in the dust, their deal clearly expiring and sending them all the way down to the Championship alongside Head and Heart which didn't move an inch.

GO-LEAGUE 1

Alright, you got me. Kaikai Kitan isn't the best team in Oricon, it's Idol. How good were they actually?

GO-LEAGUE 1 Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Idol 22 13 5 4 36 26 +10 44 - Qualified for Championship Group

4 Neko 22 9 6 7 29 26 +3 33 - Qualified for Championship Group
5 SET ME FREE 22 9 5 8 33 29 +4 32 - Qualified for Championship Group
6 Step And A Step 22 9 5 8 27 25 +2 32 - Qualified for Championship Group

7 Kaikai Kitan 22 9 4 9 31 32 −1 31 - Qualified for Demotion Group
8 Dry Flower 22 9 3 10 33 31 +2 30 - Qualified for Demotion Group
9 Cupid 22 6 9 7 25 30 −5 27 - Qualified for Demotion Group
10 I Can't Stop Me 22 6 7 9 21 32 −11 25 - Qualified for Demotion Group
11 Ditto 22 7 3 12 32 35 −3 24 - Qualified for Demotion Group
12 Dynamite 22 3 4 15 22 38 −16 13 - Qualified for Demotion Group

Color me shocked, they actually went and headed into the Championship Group top of the pack! Yes, while DTM spring back into action after the Heatseekers (Yes they did have a hard draw in the Round of 16), the Oricon saviors held their own in the top of the table battle with the dominant Gaon club to land 3 points ahead heading into the split. DTM did have help in the fact that they were knocked out of the Challengers Cup last 32 on penalties to Serrapince FC of Tumbra, but they still had a mighty League of Victors run to contend with, one that had them, at least when the split began, leading 4-1 to Finn Hurps in the Quarters. The question was, essentially, who would win the title out of these two since the nearest challenger was 7 points behind in the form of YDS. Yes, the Heatseekers Cup Final reaching YDS.

On the other side of the table in the Demotion Group... Well we know at least ONE team that will end up in GO-LEAGUE 2 next season now huh? Dynamite are a full 12 points behind, yes, 12 points behind the cut line as things stands, and with only 15 points on offer in the end of the season, baring a complete miracle, they're surely going down. Who goes down with them, however, is another story. Ditto, who occupy the second demotion spot at the moment, are six points behind provisional second in Dry Flower and can easily point their way into safety with a couple lucky wins. I Can't Stop Me are one point ahead of the cut line as well, and Cupid... Well they're three points ahead. Kaikai Kitan, who when we last checked were in the demotion zone, rebounded from their lows to go unbeaten in their last six games. Unfortunately it was too little too late to make the Championship Group, but if this form carries to next season they could be in with a shot...

Championship and Demotion Groups
Between the combined table and the groups, only a team's points carries over. Each team, which will play each other once in their group, will start with a clean goals slate and will have to build up points and goals in order to potentially win the title or avoid demotion at the end of the season. The top team in the Championship Group wins the GO-LEAGUE 1 title and earns an automatic place in the Hot League Finals, while the second-placed team may qualify via the wildcard standings. The bottom two teams in the Demotion Group are demoted to GO-LEAGUE 2. Seedings are determined by the placements of the teams at the end of the combined table portion of the season.

Once again, the big story here is moreso about the title of "Best in Gaon and Oricon". Idol were the best in Oricon after, as previously mentioned, Kaikai Kitan fumbled their hold, while Don't Touch Me, yes, THAT DTM, were easily the best in Gaon by a country mile. They had league titles, IFCF and FFI appearances (Yes they beat Finn Hurps, don't ask) and an aura around them that could make any other side in the nation weep... Idol had that Copa Monitor. Case in point, matchday 2 of the Championship Group, when IDL hosted DTM in Oricon, only to get blasted out of their superstar mystique 3 goals to one. This came off the back of Idol using opening night to play host to a Step And A Step side that took things personally, having just slipped into the Championship Group on the very last day. They beat DTM at DTM's digs on Matchday 3, and by the end of it all finished 3rd in the league owing to the fact that they only dropped points to SET ME FREE. They beat everybody else in their damn group.

Speaking of Matchday 3 and the number 3 in general, Idol's best chance to make sure that 3 point lead heading in actually meant something came away at Young, Dumb, Stupid. This team, however, wasn't Young, nor Dumb or hell even Stupid, they were a team that could make anybody look Young, Dumb and Stupid. The Oricon side were actually in a tie late on but for some inexplicable reason YDS got the ball and made IDL's keeper dive like he was a salmon, leading to a late goal that cost them a point. That point would have been well needed, because although Idol won their final two games... DTM also did. Don't Touch Me had won the title on goal difference. If that goal hadn't been scored, the GO-LEAGUE 1 title would've gone to Oricon instead.

Anyways the Demotion Group. Dynamite were basically already demoted heading in so all they did was play as a sort of cupcake team to everybody else - Rest your players for a bit and beat the worst team in the league was their offer, an offer so good that after Kaikai Kitan somehow refused the offer with a 1-1 draw everybody else lined up to jump up to the top of LeBron Dynamite. The second demotion spot, however, came down to Ditto and a certain I Can't Stop Me side that stole tactics from Official City. The latter was only a point ahead of the former heading into the final day but almost immediately as they had that point lead they lost it via a loss to Cupid, who like Step And A Step in the Championship Group defeated all but one opponent (Dry Flower on Matchday 4) to this time finish top of the group come the end of the season. This included Ditto, away from home no less, on Matchday 2, putting them 2 points ahead and in theoretical safety, even with Kaikai Kitan somehow in the conversation. Then came the inevitable match between the two sides, one that ended in a 2-2 draw after a DIT screamer rattled the post.

Matchday 4, however, was where the tides would turn. Ditto took Dynamite's offer, rested some of their key players ahead of a demotion 6 pointer and won 2-0 at Dynamite's lit-up digs. I Can't Stop Me, however, lost 3-1 to Kaikai Kitan, putting the race solely between the two Gaon clubs. Ditto were leading on goal difference but just barely, having a +1 compared to an ICSM -1 and knowing that a 2-1 Ditto loss and a 1-0 I Can't Stop Me win would force a tiebreaker playoff to decide who went down. While I Can't Stop Me won 3-2 in a thriller against Dry Flower, Ditto romped through Kitan at home to secure safety on goal difference. Call that karma for stolen tactics from a amateur side known as... Physical? I think it was them anyways...

Liga Plataria - The Closing/La Clausura

9 Agua 9 1 2 6 14 20 −6 5
10 Mi Niña 9 0 2 7 6 18 −12 2

Hey, Vida de Rico actually going to participate in the Liguilla, that's more like it. Apart from the new addition, the competition remained roughly the same as it had been - There were three teams all struggling to even get wins against the higher-ranked opposition as the shall we say Magnificent Seven duked it out. Ella Baila Sola, having won the Apertura regular season, slipped all the way to the 5 seed by dropping points to Vida de Rico, Tattoo and... Amor Ou O Litrao. Huh. Even bigger of an huh? Ay, Dios Mio! having a first round bye. It was, however, very nearly Padam Padam to carry Aria with the bye, however a final day mishap to bottom of the table, winless in the Clausura and actually already demoted Mi Niña somehow gave them the number two seed. The aggregate table, however, was solidified, and as things stand should Padam Padam go all the way and win it all (Or get into a Final with Tattoo which will bring the Clausura spot to them) they will be in the FInals, but we'll get to that later.

The Playoffs/La Liguilla
All matchups are two-legged with away goals rules applied; if a match is tied on goals and away goals, the team with the highest seed wins.

Quarter-Finals
Promise (#6) 1–0 Padam Padam (#3)
Padam Padam (#3) 1–1 Promise (#6)
Promise wins 2-1 on aggregate

Ella Baila Sola (#5) 2–2 Vida de Rico (#4)

Ella Baila Sola wins 4-3 on aggregate

Semi-Finals
Ella Baila Sola (#5) 0–0 Tattoo (#1)
Tattoo (#1) 0–0 Ella Baila Sola (#5)
Tattoo wins as they are the higher seed (Score was 0-0 on aggregate)

Promise (#6) 0–2 Ay, Dios Mio! (#2)
Ay, Dios Mio! (#2) 1–2 Promise (#6)
Ay, Dios Mio! wins 3-2 on aggregate

Final
Ay, Dios Mio! (#2) 2–3 Tattoo (#1)
Tattoo (#1) 1–1 Ay, Dios Mio! (#2)
Tattoo wins the Liga Plataria Clausura Season 4-3 on aggregate

Padam Padam didn't go all the way, they got Promise'd. Once again #1 and #2 in the regular season met again in the Final, but of course upsets had to reign in the earlier rounds. As mentioned, Promise proceeded to sink Padam Padam down in the first Quarter-Final while Vida de Rico proceeded to progress to a mean and let Ella Baila Sola take the last semi spot. They, as the #5 seed, had to face Tattoo, and if you didn't like defensive football you could just tune in to the cooking in GO-LEAGUE 1 because there were zero goals. Zero. None. Tattoo advanced due to the fact they were the highest seed. ADR v PRM was more eventful, even if for a second it was also going to a seeding advancement since Promise tied it up on aggregate in the second leg hoping to get a third and become the first Aria-based club to play in a Liga Plataria Final. Then Ay, Dios Mio! scored one late to seal their spot in. Their time just wasn't meant to be, however, and Tattoo inked their names onto the Clausura trophy for the first league double (Apertura and Clausura) in Liga Plataria history, and it's only Season 1. But hey, things do change eventually... Maybe we can see two different winners next season!

Aggregate Table
The Aggregate Table combines the regular season standings of the Apertura and the Clausura into a single table. The bottom ranked team in this table is demoted to the second tier of the team's area, with the second-bottom team able to be relegated if a Los Platas or Aria team wins the Copa Monitor and the team from the other region wins the Bubbling Leagues Finals. The top ranked season champion earns a spot in the Hot League Finals while the bottom ranked champion may qualify for the FInals via the Wildcard Table. Due to Tattoo winning both the Apertura and Clausura seasons, Ay, Dios Mio! will be the Clausura qualifier as they reached the Final.

Wildcard PPG Table
Due to Fast Car winning both the Heatseekers Cup and the Musicville Soccer Conference, five second-placed teams will advance to the Hot League Finals alongside the league winners. For GO-LEAGUE 1, only the Championship Group goal totals will count in the 2nd place rankings, while the points and total games from the first 22 games and the Championship Group will be combined. Liga Plataria will use their aggregate table standings.

The expectation of one team heading out of the first third of the Hot League Finals with a completely unbeaten record is something rarely if ever seen - DTM have done it once, so have Tattoo, but nobody else has gotten to that mark. U 2 Luv, winners of the Bar-Twelve, are that third team, having started off on a flyer. Champagne Night away? Beaten down. Sprinter away? Stopped in their tracks. Tattoo at home? Inked out. Angst away? Lights out. They're one of two unbeaten teams remaining and have only conceded one (1) goal, and that was against the reigning Hot League Champions who currently sit in 7th place, albeit not that far behind the IFCF spots considering it's early days. Really Love are the closest if you could even call it that, as even though they're the only other team unbeaten the Official City side are 4 points behind with two draws to their record against the two GO-LEAGUE 1 representatives in DTM (Who are one point behind REL and having the displeasure to face Spenson Suburbia in the League of Victors Semi-Finals) and Idol. Beyond that you get the fight for the Challengers Cup spots as DTM, Mood and Blinding Lights, all league champions, are tied on 7 points spanning 3rd through fifth. Seems like the Hot League will produce yet another wild ride... Right?

Well that unbeaten run by U 2 Luv didn't last long... Hell Really Love had a better unbeaten run than the BTL champions, but the story so far within the Finals was that of a certain MSC and Heatseekers Cup champion team named Fast Car. Like U 2 Luv's run to start the Finals, they went four for four in the second third whilst only conceding a goal... Which was against Really Love! Funny how things turn out, but with Fast Car now in prime position to get the Treble... Okay they're two points behind U 2 Luv and 3 behind Champagne Night so that's not really certain... Yeah their Confederations Trophy guarantee was transferred over to Champagne Night, almost as an apology for them beating them in the MSC title game. OCPL champions Really Love, however, are holding onto that last Challengers Cup spot tightly, with Blinding Lights, Mood, DTM, hell even Tattoo and Sprinter not that far behind! Idol and the two TFA-Champ sides in Angst and Excitement!, however, have seen better days. They all only have one win to their credits and are far removed from even the IFCF conversation at this point, albeit one still has their big rivalry up ahead...

Cue "My Way" by Limp Bizkit, because this is the fourth time DTM and Idol have faced each other this season. The last time these two faced each other, you may recall, was in the GO-LEAGUE 1 Championship Group, in which DTM embarassed the Oricon club on their home turf to ultimately cost them the league title. Both clubs were on the same side of the same coin - They were struggling for survival, one losing to that damn Suburbia in the LoV Semis while Idol still haven't caught more than a win, even if it was against Tattoo. The drama of an entire season boiled down to this, just to prove who the best team in GO-LEAGUE 1 really was... And it was a pile of boredom. Not a stack, a pile. A bore-all 0-0 draw whose best moment was Idol being within inches of a goal just to have the combination of the left post and a fingertip on DTM's goalie brought the ball out, leading to a boring slugfest. Mayyybe DTM were the best team in GO-LEAGUE 1 after all? It wasn't for certain, but just to make sure they'll play another 3 times next season.

Back to the title race. If you happened to like the Musicville Soccer Conference, Matchday 9 was NOT the matchday to like the MSC. Not only did Fast Car lose to put their treble hopes in serious doubt, but even Champagne Night got some heartbreak by way of Really Love to only cling onto their Challengers Cup spot. Couple that with U 2 Luv taking an increasingly bewildered Excitement! out to dry and you had a recipe for disaster. Yes while with two games to go five teams could charge up and win the title, it practically came down to U 2 Luv, the BTL champions hoping to go one better than last term, and that team driving their way towards hopeful immortality. And yeah Really Love was also there and could make noise. Oddly enough the top two sides weren't scheduled to face each other until... The final day. This could get spicy.

The Battle of the Loves, pitting the OCPL and BTL's best teams which also were formed after romantic partnerships for some reason, was the first big match on the docket. This was first versus third and in essence determined if Really Love was to play for the title on the final day, so the home advantage in Official City meant seemingly everything to them. U2L, on the other hand, were hoping to get the win for different reasons - That would mean they would get an advantage over Fast Car, which were set to play Champagne Night later in the evening. Whether it was just a one point gap or enough to wrap up the famed Ricky Nelson Trophy (Literally just an oddly-shaped rectangle with a big number 1 on top which is somehow the Hot League championship trophy) was left to be seen. Both teams had grit, enough grit to make this the match of the season in any other season, which was completely highlighted when U 2 Luv went on a counter attack in the 20th minute... Only for Really Love to grab the number to bell and unleash a counterattack of their own to open the scoring and quickly went 2-0 up. U 2 Luv weren't to be underestimated, however - They were too in deep in this title race to give up, and by the 90th minute (By way of two second-half scorchers in the 67th and 83rd minutes) it was 2-2. All U 2 Luv needed was another goal to secure the win and be in the drivers seat come the final day... But they were sick to their stomachs by the end, and that was all she wrote.

Over to you, Fast Car! With U 2 Luv's draw, they now knew what they needed to stay afloat. Lose or draw and a win was required against U2L to win the Hot League title. Win, however, and THEY would be in the driver's seat on the final day! The only problem was that they had to face Champagne Night, a team they knew very well since the two contested the MSC title game not that far back. And this time Champagne Night wasn't resting any of their players, because they themselves were in the Challengers Cup hunt and could even sneak themselves into the title race with a win, even if they weren't heavy favorites! But Fast Car had the home team advantage. You don't mess with Fast Car with the home team advan- Annnnnd Champagne Night scored. Yeah, not a good look when your antics lead to a 4th minute goal to provisionally rocket your local rival to third in the standings. They were even trying for a second goal as well, even if it took them all of the first half and the only results were a couple saves. The second half, however, was the Fast Car show - They had the key, they had the job they needed to do, so all that was needed was to let the speeds go fast... And they did. By the 58th minute the game was tied, but Fast Car needed to keep going. Champagne Night hunkered down to absorb as much of the attack as possible but it didn't last forever. Stoppage time came and another blistering attack came along with it. Oliver Paul, a Qasden international hopeful, extended his legs out to try to stop the strike, but it flew past him. And the goalkeeper. Fast Car got the three points and were locked in as the team to beat heading into the final day.

Thanks to that result, the top two teams were set, albeit in names and not position - Fast Car, the MSC and Heatseekers champions, had 22 points and were 6 points ahead of 3rd so their Confederations Trophy spot will go to the team who finished in third place. U 2 Luv, the BTL champions, were one point behind. Beyond second place the IFCF race, as it usually does, is heading down to the wire - Really Love have a slight 2 point advantage over 4th to 6th place, but that wasn't going to be enough to secure IFCF, and it was certainly not enough to secure FFI. 4 teams, Tattoo, Champagne Night, Blinding Lights and DTM (The latter of whom is on 15 points compared to the other three teams who were on 16) are nipping at their heels to get into IFCF competition once more, and if the former 3 could get to the Confederations Trophy it would be a hell of a lot sweeter. There's tons of permutations to this so we won't get too far into it, but just understand that there are five teams fighting for two IFCF Challengers Cup spots and four teams fighting for the lone FFI Confederations Trophy spot.

Now, in an ordinary season a draw for U 2 Luv would be enough for them to secure the title should Fast Car lose due to their superior goal difference... But this wasn't an ordinary season. U 2 Luv were facing Fast Car. Although the Musicville side had the advantage, one thing was clear...

The winner will become Hot League champions.

Matchday 11
...This is too big for just this part, not with the title coming down to one match. You're gonna have to wait.

Chartistani Hot League - Chart Year 66, Season 1 (Hot League Finals, Matchday 11)

So it all comes down to this. 44 grueling matchdays has whittled down 70 football clubs from every corner of Chartistan down to two. Seventy teams entered the season knowing they had the chance of lifting the Ricky Nelson Trophy and week after week they were whittled down to a final twelve and now a final two. For the first time in the history of the Hot League, however, two clubs will face each other in a winner-takes-all clash for the title. Some call it a cup final in league form, others call it the match of the century. The Hot League, knowing to stand out, only calls it... The Decider.

In one corner stands the champions of the Bar-Twelve League from Billboard, U 2 Luv. Having finished runners-up in the previous season to the Gaon powerhouses in DTM, they tore a hole open through their new home in straight shots, powering over the line against Mood, previous Hot League champions in their own merit, to lift their league's title. Their record in the Final Round shows that their form hasn't dropped off - 6 wins, three draws, and a loss to Blinding Lights. They don't want second place once more, they want nobody else but Top. Spot.

Their opposition, however, are hoping to be the first club in the nation, in the first season of the regional league format, to accomplish the treble. The club's name in question? The champions of the Musicville Soccer Conference AND Heatseekers Cup from Billboard, Fast Car. Last season, the final under the four division era, had them running slow, working at the twelfth counter as the checkout team, able to beat Lemonade but could only allow flowers to be bought for Flowers. Then the Musicville Soccer Conference came calling, and their speeds went so fast they were able to convince anybody that they were a bit tipsy - They tore through the Heatseekers Cup first and foremost, taking surprise packages Young, Dumb, Stupid all the way to the penalty line to grab their first piece of silverware, then got into position for the first MSC Championship Game, where they beat a no-plans Champagne Night to make a single a double. And yet they kept on driving, notching seven wins under their belt in the Finals, including the rematch with their regional rivals, to find themselves with the advantage - Win or draw and they become Hot League champions. Lose, however, and the chance at immortality would be forever lost.

The decision will be made tonight - Who will earn it all? The trophy, the Champions League place, all the admiration of an entire nation? One will live and die by the heroics of one football match and the other will leave wondering what could've been! IT'S U 2 LUV! IT'S FAST CAR! THIS IS THE DECIDER!

Luver's Stadium, Billboard. A 12,000 seater venue that houses the club known simply as U 2 Luv. This venue and their fans were there before when it comes to seeing their team go up against the odds for a shot at the championship - Last season they hosted the then league-leaders DTM on Matchday 9 of the then-Final Round three points behind the Gaon giants knowing that a win would put them level on points. This was, however, a game that U2L bottled at the end of it all, securing a 1-1 draw to all but hand Don't Touch Me that trophy, albeit one which they would wrap up on the following day. Some U2L fans say if they had won that game, then DTM would be hampered heading into Big Energy, which could've meant that their BTL rivals would've gotten a point or three, which meant... Maybe they could come here as defending champions.

Fast Car on the other hand... Yeah they haven't been here before. They only made their way up to the Hot League last season where they didn't exactly acclimatize to their new surroundings right away. It took that bedding-in process before they could take the next step to prove why, as the last ever team to enter the Hot League via the CHLC's callup process and not by sporting merit, they belonged here. That freshness, that inexperience when it comes to massive matches even with the Heatseekers Cup win, would be their weakness so it seems, at least to the U2L faithful.

Truth be told, however, neither team had experience in the position of one game to decide it all when such a thing hadn't happened before. There's talk of the once in a lifetime moments, the games or the shots or the celebrations that you wouldn't get in your wildest dreams... This is one of them. This is something that is extraordinary. Fairly this doesn't need more hype as is, let's just skip to the football.

The First Half

'1 - And we are off at Luver's Stadium. U 2 Luv are playing in their red and black home kit, while Fast Car drive onto the pitch in their away gear - Black with a touch of yellow on the sleeves.

'6 - SAVE FOR U 2 LUV! Back off, back off, bring out the Emergency Mittens because Fast Car are already knocking on the door! Berry Hudson, some people may call him the Hornet, but he nearly brought the horn out for his Musicville compatriots. Unfortunately it went just wide but it looked like it could fly its way in!

'10 - And a yellow's booked for Lucas Steed on the Fast Car side for a horrific tackle. He's lucky that he hasn't gotten himself a red by sliding on Brice Lyons like that!

'14 - SAVE FOR FAST CAR! First real chance of the day for the home side, that was Dylan Robinson forcing a save off of Scout Benbow, he's only conceded nine goals heading into today, that's a rate that can be charitably described as less than one per game! By the looks of things he's staying in form and at a time when it's needed most.

'16 - We had a couple corners on U 2 Luv's end but nothing too seismic and nothing that will put them provisionally on top of the table. In case you need reminding, this is not only for the league title but this is for Chartistan's only Champions League spot, a spot that has given three straight IFCF group stage entrants in at least the Challengers Cup for the past three seasons, and even a CL group appearance for Vida de Rico after they won three seasons ago! Whoever wins will have a chance to extend it to four seasons in a row!

'22 - SAVE FOR U 2 LUV! Malcom Shepherd once again with a save, this time from a Lindon Barrett header that on any other day would've given them the lead, but this is an extraordinary situation. Shepherd knows he has to save every shot he can so his team can have a shot at the Hot League title.

'28 - GOAL FOR FAST CAR! THOM SNIDERS BREAKS THE DEADLOCK!! And with a wonderful volley to boot, there was no way that Malcolm Shepherd was even going to get a finger onto the net. Credit to Berry Hudson for that cross that set it up, without that I don't think they'd get that goal!

'32 - We have a man down for U 2 Luv, it looks like... Oh it's Brice Lyons, seemingly clutching onto his ankle in pain after that Steed tackle twenty odd minutes ago. His team are kind enough to put the ball out so more time is focused on him, but that puts the midfielder out of the conversation for the most part, he'll have to limp off the pitch.

'34 - There goes Lyons off now, and on to replace him, he thought he wouldn't get into the game until the second half here, it will be Dennis Hyde on for U 2 Luv! He has had cameo roles so far in IFCF and BTL competition, but this is the biggest role he will have in his career - He could be the one that guides them to their first Hot League title.

'45 - The fourth official has his signal for the first half, there will be 5 more minutes of added time considering that U 2 Luv injury.

'45+2 - SAVE FOR FAST CAR! And to think we were inches away from heading to the break with a spanner in the works. Timmy Ellis had a beautiful shot from his left hand side of the goal but Fast Car goalie Michael Elliott is once again attenuative and gets the ball over the crossbar. It's out for a corner, Hyde will take it for U 2 Luv.

'45+3 - No surprises there, Fast Car get the ball back and play goes back to normal.

'45+6 - HALFTIME. That Thom Sniders volley is all that is written onto the scoresheet so far. As it stands, Fast Car are likely to secure the treble as they head back to the locker room 1-0 up. U 2 Luv manager Cade Hilton has a lot to say to his team...

The Second Half

'46 - Underway in the second half, both teams know what they need to do. U 2 Luv need two goals at minimum to snatch the title away from Fast Car, while the Musicville side want to extend their lead.

'63 - GOAL FOR FAST CAR! No doubt about it, the reports of them looking nervous ahead of this match were greatly exaggerated. This time it's Dirk Forest, who again was sold to the Musicville side by Anti-Hero before the season began. What a costly mistake the BML side have made knowing he's taken the team he was sold to 2-0 up in the deciding game of the season! Wow look at him, he's serving U 2 Luv up homeboy style!

'70 - GOAL FOR FAST CAR! AND SURELY NOW THE TREBLE IS SECURED! Berry Hudson once again with a cool play down the center of the pitch, he can only get past one U 2 Luv defender but he sends the ball towards a running Darian Sidney, and before you know it it's 3-0 up! It's a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day for the home side...

'75 - SAVE FOR U 2 LUV! And we nearly had it 4-0 with Berry Hudson locking in a screamer that JUST finds Shepherd! Thousands of fans in Luver's Stadium are having their mouths wide open, they can't believe the display their team is putting up! This isn't Lemonade! This is the HOT LEAGUE FINALS DECIDER!

'82 - All subs have been used for both teams, with Danny Little the last man up for U 2 Luv. It might already be too late for them to save their title hopes...

'86 - GOAL FOR U 2 LUV! The fans, however, aren't really celebrating, since they need three goals within the next four minutes plus stoppage time to pull off the comeback of the century to secure the title. It doesn't help that Fast Car has been off the gas since going 3-0 up, it's almost like they're at the bar celebrating with a round!

'90 - Fourth official sets the amount of stoppage time, and it's just confirming the inevitable. 3 minutes are allocated and some fans at Luvers Stadium are filing towards the exits, they do not want to see history with their own two eyes.

'90+4 - FULL TIME! FAST CAR HAVE WON THE TREBLE! FAST CAR HAVE WON THE TREBLE!!! Manager Bodie Gary has stormed onto the pitch with the bench to revel in what he has just accomplished in his second season in the top tiers of Chartistan - Heatseekers Cup, MSC Championship and now the big one, the Hot League Finals. The stands by this point only contain a few hundred away fans and a few thousand or so U2L enjoyers still in shock, but this feels like a home celebration to them, they are cheering their lungs out so it seems! And once again heartbreak for the home side, this is their second straight season where they finished in second place, but this is way bigger than DTM one season ago. They are going to live and die by what happened in this game.

12 Excitement! 11 2 1 8 9 25 −16 7

So what about the other matchdays before we head off and do the whole second division system? I guess you have to start with 3rd place Really Love, the OCPL champions who were holding onto their Challengers Cup and Confederations Trophy spot for dear life. They had the displeasure in having to travel to Tattoo, the team directly below them (And considering we had first versus second it would only be natural to have third v fourth like this was some sort of requirement) but took this as a challenge. They knew that a win would absolutely secure their 3rd place spot but a draw could also do it should other results go their way... A loss however would require everybody else that has a shot to lose to even be granted 4th place. Guess what happened? Really Love were 2-0 up at halftime. Then Tattoo leveraged their home crowd in Los Platas to make it 2-1. Then 2-2 by the 80th minute. They still had a shot, they thought, THEY STILL HAD A SHOT... Only for Tattoo to ink in the dagger as the dual-champions of Liga Plataria secured all three points. They had to look at results elsewhere.

Those results elsewhere didn't look good. At all. Blinding Lights, as expected, beat 10th place Idol to lock in at least top 5, which would become exactly fifth once Champagne Night dealt with Sprinter to lock up 4th place, their third straight top 4 finish. Where did that leave Really Love? Sixth. On a day where they woke up in third place carrying the spot in the Confederations Trophy, they went back to bed in sixth place with zero international football to contend with next season. Besides one single matchday after Matchday 2, the OCPL champions were in the IFCF conversation. Some said that maybe they could even get a League of Victors shout. But in perhaps a bottling to end all bottlings, they got nothing as a reward for dominating their competition locally and putting up a hell of a fight nationally. But that's the cruel thing when it comes to the Hot League Finals - It can and will reward teams that punch high, but any shots lower are costly. Doesn't help that the other three teams that went to at least the Challengers Cup ended up requalifying for IFCF...

Copa Monitor - Chart Year 66, Season 1

About
The Copa Monitor is a specially-made competition for the Los Platas region of Chartistan, home to teams such as Vida de Rico, Tattoo and Ay, Dios Mio!, as well as the city of Aria. The winners of the Copa Monitor qualify for Liga Plataria, the regional league for the region of Los Platas and the city of Aria.

With the introduction of the Bubbling Leagues Finals, there have been changes to the format. The core group and knockout stage still remains, but a 3rd place match has been added. With one team each from Los Platas and Aria participating in the Bubbling League Finals, however, a tiebreaker playoff system will be used if more than one team from one region end up eliminated at the same stage. If there's only one team from that region when the region as a whole is eliminated, there will be no playoffs and the team in question advances to the Bubbling Leagues Finals.

NOTE - The teams from Aria are those highlighted in italics.
