MK-25F "SUMIRE"
Prince (N$D): 80 000 $ per unit.
MK-25F "Sumire" ("Violet Flower") is a multi - mission, medium range unmanned aerial vehicle developed by Fujita Group. The main goal of the Sumuire is recoanissance, but depending on adaptation of the payload, it can also be used in strike, electronic warfare or communications roles.
- The whole system consists of the launcher unit, control unit, drones and exchangable payload.
- The drone is 1.4 meters long and has a wingspan of 3 meters.
- The construction follows a mid-wing design, with V shaped stabilisers.
- Top mounted, 2 blade pusher propeller.
- The body of the aircraft has been constructed out of composites, which positively leads to decrease of the radar cross section.
- Empty weight of the system is 12.5 kilograms.
- 6 kilograms of payload can be carried.
- Modular payload compartment permits changing payload between missions.
- Powering the engine is a 1.5 HP four piston engine made by Kojima motors.
- The drone can reach maximum speed of 150 km/h.
- Combat range is 110 km, while ferrying range is 600 km.
- The drone can fly up to 5 000 meters.
- Endurance of the drone is 20 hours.
- The imagery is relied to the ground control station using a datalink based on the 4G technology.
- The camera is mounted on the gimbal ring at the aircraft's front, allowing it to be rotated around and has a lens of 85mm.
- Thermal imagining system.
- Laser designator.
- The drone is launched via a catapult system.
- Recovery via parachute.
- Laptop - based control unit.
- Two hardpoints on the wings allow for delivery of munitions, such as converted 60mm or 82mm mortar shells.
