I am well aware; I'm originally from the UK (although currently resident in the US) so I'm familiar with European style Christian democracy. What I'm saying is that it would rapidly be taken over by Dominionists in the US, simply because they constitute a large portion of the political leadership in one of the country's two major parties. In order to institute a European-style Christian democracy without the risk of that happening, a massive overhaul would be needed of the entire US political system, including a near total rewrite of the Constitution.
